Pros: Everything was perfect! Yanis, the owner, is the kindest and most helpful host we have ever had. He knows everything about the island and he really takes care of the place and his guests. We highly recommend his hotel 🤩
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great place for great holidays ! The view is awesome, quiet and close from beautiful beaches ! Thanks Yannis for your kindness, your advice and everything you made to make this trip unforgetable!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Big apartments with balcony, clean, 5 min drive to the beach and 20 min drive to Chania. Very nice owner which helped us a lot with our itinerary. Easy place to parc the car
Cons: Everything was great
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very clean, nice pool with a view, three bathrooms in one apartment
Cons: The common area has no AC, the wifi doesn’t work well in all the rooms
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Incredible apartments with a very friendly owner! Pool was incredible and had the most incredible view of the sunset in the evening! Stayed for just 3 nights but was so magical. Cannot recommend enough!
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location was good, away from city centre, a car is useful. Studio apartment was a decent size, exceptionally clean, basic but with everything you'd need. Bathroom was equally clean & adequate. Yiannis our host was available by phone when we arrived late in the evening, his communication before & during the stay was excellent. I would highly recommend this establishment if you want a quiet place tto stay.
Cons: Television in the room was very small. Nothing else.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very friendly and very helpful staff (Yiannis, the owner)! Clean and spacious rooms, well equipped (cutlery, fridge, even a scale!). Quiet and safe area. Pool is nice.
Cons: Too many stairs if your room is in the upper floor. No lift. Area recommended for relaxation, not many options around.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: amazing everything ….
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Wonderful place, all staff were friendly, food was very good, location lovely , nice sunsets. The cars provided were very good condition. All in all excellent value and I would highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was just perfect.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff was very friendly. beautiful hotel.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff very friendly, we were even welcomed with a drink and a chat even if it was very late. Cosy room with sea view. Generous buffet breakfast, with fresh food. Relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: So peaceful surrounded by nature, sea, rocks and flowers! Beautiful swimming pool and I loved the floating dock out to sea. Breakfasts were delicious with so much choice, different everyday. The most comfortable bed you will sleep so well listening to the sounds of the sea! Staff were so friendly and it was just a beautiful place to be to totally relax and get away from it all! Thank you x
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great value for money, it was really cheap. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I am a light sleeper that usually gets woken up in every single hotel but not here: it was super quiet. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful. The staff was well dressed and polite, speaking excellent English. There was a hydromassage shower for all those who appreciate a back massage.
Cons: The breakfast buffet had a huge selection but the food was truly disappointing, the worst breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. The scrambled eggs tasted like rubber and the bread rolls were really hard. Nobody bothered to resupply the milk after it was gone, the only coffee one could have after 10 was black. The water in the shower didn't get properly hot (just lukewarm) after 5-7 minutes. The toilet didn't flush properly.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Everything was lovely.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: An older house with charme and a very nice and uncomplicated host. Unfortunately we had to leave one night earlier and that wasn't a problem at all. We received a refund and everything was fine. Thanks to Lena for her hospitality. Nice view over chania and the ocean.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: It's located close to the airport and the host welcomed us when we arrived late at midnight. The room had a nice view to the city of Chania.
Cons: The conditioner was noisy so we had to turn it off to be able to sleep.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This is a perfect stay for anyone who has an early flight out of Chania! Lena, our hostess, could not have been friendlier or more concerned that we had everything we needed. Beautiful rooms with spectacular views!
Cons: everything was perfect!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Really welcoming and thoughtful
Cons: n/a
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Owner could not have been more helpful. Great view of the sea. Beautiful setting for breakfast. Good value
Cons: No elevator so stairs could be an issue for some. Further from city center than I expected but bus stopped right outside. About one km to nearest restaurant.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I can highly recommend this hotel – delicious breakfast with the amazing view from the terrace, clean, cozy and full equipped room, we even got sleepers and two bottle of local white wine. Thank you Lena so much! Lena, the owner is doing an amazing job! She is cheerful and super helpful - always available for any questions. She knows how to take care of her guests – it is a pity that every hotel does not have such owners… Everything was perfect! "
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We liked the fantastic view from the spacious room and balcony and enjoyed the breakfast with the other guests on the balcony also with view onto the whole town of Chaniá, the beds were lovely too. But outstanding was for us the sympathetic family: Lena and Elias speak English fluently and we enjoyed nice and interesting conversations with them. They were very helpful in any respect. (did the airport service for a little fee, gave nice recommendations etc). Good is also that you can walk easily downtown and up in about 30 minues each way if you like to walk - if not, there is a bus stop just some meters away, also a new LIDL right next to the house (in case you need it). If you like to do an organized tour to Samaria Gorge, they can book it for you and the tour bus will fetch you in front of the door.
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my entire life. Lena (the owner) is the most amazing woman, she is so helpful, thoughtful, caring, loving, and super friendly. She is the best hotel owner, I guess. We met her husband and she showed us her relatives on the pictures (great history and family-owned business). The way she takes care of her guests is incredible. We have been complimented with water and wine (each day), very warm welcome and the detailed answers and suggestions to all our questions. Lena keeps the hotel very clean and neat and you have evrth needed in your room ( all the shower essentials, incl. greek produce, air conditioner, water and wine glasses, sanitizers, wifi, hot water, water, even the robes) Our room was spacious with even more spacious balcony with an amazing view (better than we expected). The breakfast was decent, at the balcony as well, so you can continue enjoying the view while indulging the local farmers products (yoghurt, cheese, ham, fresh bread, veggies, cakes, etc.) Coffee and tea are available all day. To the center you have to walk, but you can also take a taxi (which Lena ordered for us a lot). The grocery shop is next door (LIDL). We so much appreciate such a service and will be definitely coming back!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: We (a family with two children) stayed in a two bedroom apt on top floor with two balconies overlooking the pool, great size and high standard (esp the bathroom). Great location 10min walk to center & the small beach with nice restaurants and a grocery store very near by. The pool was filled and sunny most of the day (mid April). We did not book breakfast option so no comments. Parking was easy to find right in front of the hotel. Our apt was spotlessly cleaned, towels changed every day. A few comments about the dogs and noise (mentioned in other reviews). The noise from street in the front is not audible as there is the administrative building blocking the noise. The neighboring dogs (2 of them) did bark from time to time in the mornings but never before 7am and not excessively. The beds were very comfortable . The apt comes with a safe to lock valuables. Very friendly staff who allowed us to check out a bit later and gave us local tips. All in all, we loved our stay at Villa Elena and would recommend it whole heartedly to others.
Cons: The kitchen (which was otherwise fully equipped) could have had a toaster and a microwave oven. It would be wise to put noise dampeners under the chairs which made a bit of noise (esp in the morning) when other guests draw them across the stone floors. The apt doors to the apartments accessed by the staircases could be upgraded to better isolate noise and thus avoid disturbance by neighbors who occasionally made excessive noise in the hallway/stairs. Nonetheless, these were all small things that really didn't bother us much, we are just writing them to give the hotel a chance to make these small improvements.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The size of the room was just right, with wifi and TV's in both rooms. The bathroom was great, good shower and complimentary shower gel and shampoo. The cleanliness was perfect with rooms cleaned every other day. The beds were comfy. Outside the pool was a good size for the area, sun loungers all clean. I can't fault the helpfulness of the staff - we would ask them to order a taxi for us and also good advice for the area. It's ideally located, literally a supermarket next door and coffee bar across the road. A 10 min walk to the Old Town district of town with plenty of shops, bars and coffee bars along the way. We will be returning the next time we're in Chania !
Cons: I can't fault it all.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location of this place was perfect as well as the hotel. Staff in this hotel was very lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Everything was clean and in good condition. We loved our stay in that place and would definitely recommend for everybody. Also there was supermarket right next to the hotel and free parking next to all roads, so wasn't any problem to park our car nearby. We were 4 friends traveling together and for us this place was perfect and the room was also perfect.
Cons: There wasn't anything I would say we didn't like in that place.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful, clean, modern apartment complex in central Chania. Newly decorated to a very high standard. Stayed here for 11 nights with my husband and two sons, ages 10 & 8. Great location for exploring the area. Next door to a large supermarket which was great for items especially for the boys. Staff friendly and very helpful for any information needed. Apartment cleaned everday and clean crisp white linen changed regularly. Everything was fabulous and just perfect. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We were with kids. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Thank you for having us.
Good 7,9
Pros: Nice building
Cons: Too much light in the room in the night hours; noises from dogs outside
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Both, the hotel and staff were wonderful. Very clean and quiet place. Only 15 minutes away from the city centre. Nice small swimming pool for relax.
Cons: The breakfast could have been more varied.

Pros: the views were amazing
Cons: the fact that I weren't there longer
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect stay! Never experienced such lovely staff, nothing was too much or a problem 🙌🏻
Cons: One little improvement would be having a locker room for baggage after check out so you can feel bags are safe.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: we loved the view
Excellent 10,0

Excellent 10,0
Pros: We stayed there for one night and we enjoyed it . I don't know how are other rooms, but the family suite was great. It had everything a traveller would need. Even a microwave and fridge with bottled water. The breakfast was tasty, feels it was prepared with love and generosity. What was even better, the stuff's attitude. They are friendly, nice and generous. They desserve a generous tip as well. Definitely would recommend the hotel
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff or rather owners. Extra large rooms with all comfort for a family. Great breakfast spot recommended nearby and view on Chania
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff was exceptionally nice and informative. Our room was even upgraded. View from our room was amazing. Room was spacious and clean. Trash was taken out everyday. Very friendly staff; would stay again.
Cons: Only downside to the hotel was the bed was uncomfortable and very hard.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great pool, great breakfast, great people. Easy parking.
Okay 5,0
Pros: The swimming pool was good and the restaurant staff was very friendly.
Cons: I was looking for a double bed and sea view among the hotels in the area and although I was supposed to get these there, there wasn't any.
Excellent 9,0

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good location, very clean, comfortable room, excellent service!
Cons: Some road noise, but this is Greek driving…
Excellent 8,0
Pros: staff were really helpful
Cons: the shower was almost impossible to get in and out of
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Hotel was clean and easy to access. Location just outside the main tourist but easy walking access. Staff was very nice and morning breakfast was quite good.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Hospitability of the personnel. Very good breakfast with view on the sea. Range of room amenities provided (slippers, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush with paste, kettle with tea, some miscs). There was a small welcome gift of raki, sweet snack and 2 bottles of water. Cafe in the lobby (although we have not checked the room service).
Cons: My only suggestion would be to have one more lamp installed in the room. But truth be told, for some reason, most of the hotels' rooms are dimly lit.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I loved the staff. They were professional and courteous! The bar was fully stocked and had a variety of options in which the staff would happily compliment with chips or nuts. For breakfast, there is a unlimited amount of options. The food for breakfast was delicious and the hotel provides mimosas upon request!!!!
Cons: The shower in my particular room was rather tiny to say the least but the room itself was decent. I had a large balcony which overlooked the seaside and that made up for the small shower.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The location is perfect, just 15 minutes to the city center. Good and tasty breakfast, clean room with all staff that was needed for a pleasant stay. Amazing sea view. The staff of the hotel was very kind, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended this hotel for the short stay.
Cons: A little bit noisy because of the road near the hotel.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: small but cute, big rooms and bed
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This was the perfect place to stay at in chania, we were in the old town, with so much to see and do all around us. We had a great and comfortable room and received amazing service. We took the traditional breakfast which was amazing and Aphrodite was so helpful, giving is the best recommendations for the rest of our trip. Wonderful experience!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Fabulous location, beautiful big room and lovely big comfy bed. Plenty for breakfast.
Cons: I would have liked the room to have been cleaned and bins emptied.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Brilliant location. Our room overlooked a quiet courtyard, though the hotel is only two minutes from the seafront of Chania. It is thus convenient for the restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious and elegant and the service is perfect. The best place to stay in Chania, for one night or two weeks.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful old property in a superb location within easy level walking distance of all the sights in the Old City and just a minute from the sea. Large comfy beds, Very welcome complimentary water and local spirit drink in fridge. Incredible Cretan breakfast to set you up for the day. Afrodite was lovely...highly organised and ewfficient.
Cons: Not a problem to us at all but some might find the twisting stairs a bit of a problem.....but it's a lovely old Venetian building so what do you expect!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was perfect. Receptionist is such a lovely lady ready to help you in any part of the day. The room actually looks even better in live than on the pictures. Bed is very comfortable, WiFi works good, location is excellent, delicious breakfast. Few steps away from the port and all main attractions, 10 minutes on walking distance from the main KTL bus station from where you can reach any part of the Crete island. I'd recommened this property to anyone! It's really valuable for the money and have everything you need, even more than that :)
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We had a great time in Chania and Crete. Ontas traditional hotel was a very pretty traditional building in the old town. It was between the more local and the touristy area of the old town. Very nice location. The facilities were great and Mrs Afrodite very helpful with details and recommendations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is interested in a good location, great facilities and great value for money.
Cons: On the more busy weekend there was a little more noise and vibe in the area. The Wi-fi signal strength in our room (101) was not great.

Pros: Excellent location, within minutes you could get to the old town. The breakfast buffet had many options for any taste. My room had absolutely no view, the window was facing a wall but I knew that from the beginning and I did not mind. If you want a single room and you care about the view, I recommend upgrading. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. It offered everything one could ask for a stay in Chania!
Cons: During my stay (beginning of May) the weather was warm but the bed still had a duvet which was too much.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic - hot options, fruit, variety of teas and coffees, cheeses, yogurts and sweet options. The pool was well maintained and received the sun for the day - travelled in late April. Stayed in a double superior room with pool view - clean, regularly cleaned, little gift on arrival and mini fridge you could use if you wished to pay for items. Bar service by pool was excellent - great variety of options if staying by the pool. (Aperol Spritz and Frappes were excellent) Staff were friendly and happy to help. Fitness centre I used daily and just had to book slot prior. Location - beyond expectations. 30min walk to beach, 5 minute walk to restaurants and bars, 10 minute walk to harbour. Pick up easily organised for day trips with tour companies. Could not recommend the Kriti hotel more!
Cons: Nothing it was an excellent stay.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great location - very central to everything. The staff are friendly and professional, always happy to help with any request. They even let me check in early! Great Service always! The breakfast is plentiful, and pool is great! The hotel is constantly cleaned.
Cons: The air conditioning system is very weird. The whole hotel has to either have hot air or cool air. When i arrived at the hotel, they were still on hot air heating so i was unable to have cool air despite feeling very hot in the room. That is, anytime i tried to turn on the air conditioner, only hot air would come out, unless the hotel switched to cool air, meaning everyone in the hotel gets cool. The hotel did not want to do so as they felt it was still cool (which i understand). Its very bizarre that the heating/cooling system isnt on a room by room basis given customers have different preferences. I had to keep the balcony room door opened to keep cool. (The staff did offer for me to room moves to a location that was likely to be cooler but i had already unpacked and was tired from my flight. I do appreciate their efforts to help!!)
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The is is a nice hotel located on the edge of the old city but still easy to drive to, There was parking in the municipal parking near the hotel. Covid awareness was much appreciated. The breakfast was great as was the staff. Wifi was good. I had a patio with views of the water.
Good 7,0
Pros: clean and safe hotel
Cons: the breakfast was very slow, everyone had to tell what they would like to have while standing in the queue.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very nice location and good breakfast
Excellent 9,7
Great location, clean rooms and happy staff. Will stay at hotel Kriti again.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast well served. Fresh Fruits. Good coffee. Great location to Resturants and short walk to Old Town. Convenience store 1 block away.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Good location, a free public parking and a lot of restaurants nearby. The staff was very very very hospitable.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nicos was very helpful and extremely friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean . Apron arrival nicos gave us drinks and a very special fish dish of his on recipe. Resturants nearby were better and cheaper than on the central bay .
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great hotel, simple, clean, comfortable and well located. Mr. Nikos, the owner, is a kind and helpful host, he gave us the best tips to explore the city and surrounding areas. His wife is also a lovely person and the whole family made me feel at home, which turned the stay much more special. The rooms are always clean, they have a fridge, a comfy bed, tv, air conditioning and we could also stay in a room with a balcony (nice view of the beach). Cafes are right by the door, the old harbour just a few steps away, city centre as well. Theres this little beach in front of the hotel, very nice too. I definitely recommend this place. Wont forget this family and the experience in Chania.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: This could be one of the best hotel we have stayed in the center because the water in the bathroom is very strong. Big balcony and a little sea view.
Cons: It would be great if we have something to cook the hot water.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: A wonderful neighborhood, in an amazing City. This wonderful old building is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Chania.
Cons: The breakfast was below of our expectations. The room was spacious and with a nice sea view. Unfortunately clima was not working.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Good breakfast nice room friendly staff, private parking.
Cons: Two seperate blankets on the bed
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Stylish classical interior, well maintained. Secures parking lot at the back
Cons: The lady was probably new and our sauna machine set off after only 5 minutes... so we got cold and had to go all the way to the reception to report it. Luckily the lady got it turned on again.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We had a very nice stay at Halepa. One of the highlights was the wood fireplace at the lobby area, which gave the room a cosy lived-in air and comfortable warmth during crisp winter evenings...
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The Halepa is a beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, extremely comfortable beds, and terrific showers, only a 10 minutes walk into Chania old town, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff are very helpful especially as I had to get a PLF for both my husband and myself for returning to the U.K.
Cons: As the hotel is very old and traditional, it reflects on the noise of the doors being closed, which could not be closed quietly, the rooms are off a very large corridor which echoes everything.

Good 7,0
Pros: Unique historic atmosphere / literally a stay in a museum. Clean / tidying up twice a day. Good location / great views. Nice breakfast. Helpful and polite personnel. Owner is a sweetheart.
Cons: Despite the historic nature, the premises need a renovation. Small rooms / basic amenities / basic bed.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: historical hotel with a lot of history
Excellent 9,0
Pros: LOCATION is perfect for Town Center, restaurants and shops. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Chania is great and we have a great time, location es important and this Hotel has it! 🙌🏻
Cons: Only thing I would recommend is showers need to have a door, cause floor gets really wet.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I loved pretty much everything, beautiful place, great location, and awesome service 24/7
Cons: The only thing I disliked would perhaps be the noisy road right next to the hotel
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The lady who welcomed us was very nice and helpful. She helped us repair our suitcase which was broken. The building has an historical charm, with lots of antiques inside and outside. Take the time to look at the pictures in the living room. The view over the sea was very nice. The beach and Chania old town are a walking distance from the hotel. Nice breakfast in a lovely room overlooks oking the sea.
Cons: The road below is very noisy. Lots of traffic, to such extent that you can’t leave the window open. Walls, carpets etc a bit worn out. Very impractical shower (no curtain)
Excellent 8,0
Pros: At breakfast (which is ok) you have a nice view at the window on a bay. Same in rooms with sea view
Cons: Staff is very kind but clueless when you ask them for any hints (according restaurant, car rental, excursions...)
Good 7,0
Cons: Tiny shower pan with no curtain. Had to put 2 twin beds together - no queen size bed for 2 available.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Renovated recently with good facilities, clean in good location. Wi-Fi accessible in all areas. Big room, comfortable
Cons: Small balcony, didn't have facilities to hang your swimwear.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I was very satisfied with everything, nothing to complain over at all. I recommend this hotel for all who have car because it is a bit from the sea and Chania town. But it was nice location anyway, calm and quite, and we had wonderful view over the landscape and sea of course too.
Good 7,0
Pros: Incredibly helpful and friendly service. The hotel has is a little old and dated but was more than enough for a short stay.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: OK place to stay if you need fast access to the airport, especially early in the morning. The hosts are nice. Acceptable room for the price point and location.
Cons: Could only pay cash, but there are ATMs at 5-7 minutes walking distance away. The room could use some more cleaning and the furniture and accessories some upgrades. The sound isolation from the nearby road is not very good.
Good 7,0
Pros: manager provided discount because pool albeit announced as a facility was not working nevertheless the manager provided a discount to compensate for that kudos to them for that but please put the pool back to work or remove it from facilities
Cons: pool not working
