Pros: Great views across the harbour. Mini kitchen with plates/cutlery etc so you can bring food back with you.

Pros: The size of the room was very impressive the views over the harbour was fantastic especially this time of year with the christmas lights. The room was very clean and tidy. The power shower was very welcomed after a long day.
Cons: The VERY VERY squeaky rear door...please grease the hinge...
7,1 Good
Pros: Great views across the harbour. Wonderful central location and very helpful staff.
Cons: Difficult to find the entrance, and old world charm does create other accessibility issues.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location overlooking harbour. Former yacht club so nautical theme, sailing pictures, silver trophies, telescopes, etc. Very nice bar. Old-fashioned building, large rooms, high ceilings, stuffed leather chairs. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite near to centre of town, plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs close to hand. Terrific power showers. I'd certainly stay there again.
Cons: Lunch, but no breakfast or dinner. They have a deal with a very nearby cafe a few minutes walk away. Rooms on second floor, no lift so a bit of an effort if infirm, overweight, drunk, heavy bags, etc. Great shower but no bath.

Pros: Everything!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I booked the room not expecting much especially with the price being so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the room and it was bigger and nicer than I expected, yes there is noise from the bars outside and I knew that when I booked it and I was also told about it and offered another room at the rear if it was a problem but luckily I can sleep through anything so it was never a problem for me, the view over the harbour and out to see are second to none and it’s very close to everything

7,1 Good
Cons: We booked two rooms, and only discovered when we arrived that one was in the annex, three doors away. If we had known, we wouldn’t have booked.
6,0 Good
Pros: Pleasant ambience in lovely old building overlooking the harbour
Cons: Very disappointed by lack of on site restaurant on a Tuesday evening and very limited hot buffet breakfast. This hotel used to offer fabulous food but no longer...
7,0 Good
Pros: Very attentive staff. They moved us to a larger room as 1st room was very small for a double. Beautiful building tastefully furnished. Comfortable lounge.
Cons: Shower had a weak flow and it was difficult to control the temperature.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All was nice and tidy.. very good location
Cons: Just a cool place to stsy
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location overlooking the harbour. Gorgeous cozy lounge area with the day's papers. Continental breakfast, cafetière coffee. The cabin bedroom at the top of the hotel had marvellous view over the harbour - very compact but comfortable, although the stairs would need careful negotiating after a glass of wine or two! Free parking in front of the hotel full but the multi-storey carpark, 2 min walk away, can be paid for on an app £7.50 for 24 hours. Within walking distance of a couple of lovely Italian restaurants, town centre and facilities.
Cons: Anyone with mobility problems would find negotiating the stairs difficult.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: There is an Honesty Bar in the living room where you can sit in front of the warm fire and have a drink.
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but please don't book through a certain site beginning with b ....... ,com. I ended up paying more than I would have done had I booked direct with the hotel. Had a very expensive rate and had I cancelled I would have lost everything. No breakfast included ...so recommend that you ring Hotel direct and then would have a cheaper rate AND a continental breakfast. In by 3pm and out by 11am. Hot shower and clean bathroom area; only minus was no showercap and the toiletries were a small soap and small shampoo. No conditioner. Very cool place to stay. You feel welcomed without anybody bothering you and facilities downstairs were pleasant with comfy sofas and quiet space to sit and read. Bedrooms are rather small but warm and our balcony room had a lovely harbour view. Must be very pleasant in summertime as the location is prime. They also offered cheese and biscuits at 10pm which we managed to catch one night. A pleasant if unexpected treat.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendliness
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location is fantastic, especially to watch the New Year Fireworks. Nice, cosy lounges and like that an honesty bar option was available. Good coffee (Nespresso) available in room.
Cons: The bed was so uncomfortable due to a lumpy and what felt like very thin, tired mattress. The pillows were thin and dirty - pillow cases were clean but the pillows inside, which kept slipping out of the covers were unclean looking. The room furniture was so tired in appearance. The biggest problem with the room was a persistent and at times rather overpowering smell of drains that emanated from the tiny bathroom, the door to which was difficult to keep closed meaning the bedroom would occasionally fill with the pungent odour. There was no central heating in the room so an electric heater was provided which did a good job but just meant whenever we went out we were coming back to a cold, unpleasant smelling room. The TV worked intermittently, frequently just displaying a ‘no signal’ message. Our used towels were moved and placed on hooks one on top of the other meaning not only was one of the towels damp for use the following morning but also we didn’t then know who had previously used which towel. Could be just unlucky with the room but we certainly didn’t enjoy this stay and won’t be returning. Would not recommend.

7,0 Good
Pros: Nothing really to complain about. Friendly staff and the standard chain experience. Good selection for the continental breakfast and cooked options reasonably priced.
Cons: Nothing really. Everything perfectly adequate but nothing to write home about. Personally I'd prefer a glass shower screen rather than a curtain that sticks to you, but that's about it!

Pros: Breakfast was enjoyable. I ate more than usual and I was pleased with the alternative I requested on the second morning. Spencer Court was in exactly the right place for us.The room was comfortable and secure. Service very pleasant and obliging.
Cons: I had problems getting the shower at the right temperature and thus wasted a lot of water. The hot and cold indicators seemed to be the wrong way round or something. Advice or an instruction card is needed. Also I would have liked a chair in the room. Although I enjoyed the breakfast I would have preferred a muesli type of cereal and a sourdough bread
