7,5 Good
Pros: It`s a very beautiful resort. lot to do.
Cons: I thought the food at the buffet was average at best, could have been a lot better
7,7 Good
Pros: Staff was always cleaning
Cons: Had a couple housekeeping issues, only have two choices for beer
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Overall, my family and I had a great time
Cons: I wasn't aware that you had to wear formal clothing to attend different restaurant.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Variety of food was awesome and so were the juices. We especially liked the restaurants. Service was great and lots of smiles. Very clean.
Cons: Would like less oil used for cooking. Would like colder milk.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant buffet offers a lot of variety. Even though the cooking is on a large scale the food is still tasty. The "standard" room at Tropical was lovely - very big with a lot of storage space, quality furniture and a comfy bed. They clean every morning and stack up your fridge with beverages. The entire staff is very kind and helpful making you feel at ease all of the time. We were impressed by the cleaness of the facilities - it's a huge resort and it's good to know that they are constantly taking care of it, otherwise things would quickly start to go south. If you're looking for a few days of complete relaxation, just enjoying yourself by the sea and beach then Barcelo is the place to go.
Cons: The biggest and more or less only downside was that you need to pay 20$ for the wifi per day.
Rosewood Mayakoba - Playa del Carmen - Building

9,6 Excellent (2 532 reviews)
R20 683+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Rosewood Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, you'll be on the beach, a 4-minute drive from El Camaleon Mayakoba Golf Course and 10 minutes from Quinta Avenida. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Free valet parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Rosewood Mayakoba is quite possibly one of the finest resorts I’ve ever experienced around the world. The staff is hospitable and accommodating and the luxury, pampering experience can best be described as other-worldly. Each guest is treated like they are old friends of the staff and every detail is catered to hand and foot. There is no request that can be made and not achieved. I plan on visiting this location from this point forward for many years to come.
Cons: Nothing, it was absolutely perfect

Pros: The staff could not do enough for us, it was almost as if we did not ask for enough stuff to challenge them. Amazing experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is PERFECT! Every detail, every staff member, EVERYTHING! If I could give it 6 stars I would. This place is beyond amazing.
Cons: Not 1 thing, it was PERFECT!
10,0 Excellent
Cons: We wish the food was less experimental, fusión, gourmet, and more tradicional.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An extraordinary hotel that is a master at making you feel special--no matter what your age. Because it's expensive, I was worried that it would be stiff and snobby...it was anything but. The hotel guests were almost as delightful as the hotel staff who I would have loved to take home with me. Vacations are for pampering yourself. This hotel has got that down to a science.
Cons: My only complaint is that they quote a price but it actually ended up being 30-40% higher once you added all the fees in. Once you got used to it, it was okay though.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We were celebrating our honeymoon, our plan was to stay in Playa del Carmen (Rosewood) for 5 nights and then in Tulum for the next 5 nights. The Rosewood Mayakoba was so great we ended up leaving Tulum after the first night there and coming back to the Rosewood where we spent 9 night out of 10. The staff is genuinely happy to be there, everyone is so welcoming and helpful, you just don't want to leave this place. Truly felt like our home away from home.
Cons: The tours were overpriced, we ended up booking tours directly without going through the hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly all of them
Cons: Italian Restraunt music noisy

Pros: Restaurants and food in general were excellent. Staff was very friendly and made us feel valued and at home.
Cons: A lot of sea weed in the ocean somewhat spoiled beach experience. The description of the services on booking.com and real offer did not match.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The service was outstanding
Cons: Nothing
9,7 Excellent
Cons: The sargaso (algae) invading the beach and the ocean, Mosquitos .
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is extremely courteous and responsive! Spa was wonderful. Grounds are gorgeous.
Cons: Give guests the ability to run jets/pumps on the plunge pools.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The place is gorgeous, the staff was amazingly kind and the location is just brilliant. The All-inclusive is awesome, from the mini bar and room service, to the absolutely delightful restaurants that you can visit and dwell on the million options the have for a meal/dinner.
Cons: The beach was very Rocky and it had a lot of weed on the shore. It didn't had anything to do with the hotel, it's more of an environmental issue, however it do affects the experience a little bit.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, everything was excellent. Very clean and well maintained.
Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: You cannot help the overgrowth of seaweed where the sandbags use to counter beach erosion .
Cons: Chili’s overly air conditioned restaurants
8,0 Excellent
Pros: pool, food...

Pros: Staff is very friendly and well trained.
Cons: Some rooms are a little far from the beach
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is the best hotel in Mexico, of course it is a bit expensive! The staff always willing to help and make it the best experience! The food is unbeatable I recommend the "Cocina de Autor" restaurant!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Grand Velas Riveria Maya has fantastic facilities all around, with gorgeous pools and the best beach area I've ever visited. The service was impeccable (shout-outs to Bayron in the Zen Grand; Jorge, Ana, and Omar at Chaka, & Dafne and Alexander at the beach, who each went above and beyond), and we felt pampered and at ease for the entirety of our stay. The only spa service we booked was the water ceremony, but it was amazing, and we would've gladly stayed twice as long as we did (about 2 hours) but for our dinner plans. The main reason we chose this resort over other all-inclusive options in PDC, Tulum, and Cancun was the food's reputation, and it was absolutely the right choice. Breakfasts at Chaka and lunches at Azul were amazing, and our dinners (2x Cocina de Autor, Piaf, and Sen Lin) were truly great, too. Next time we do all-inclusive, this place is a no-brainer. Taking everything into account, though, it will be difficult to visit any other property in the area, despite the fact that we love exploring areas outside of resorts and having dozens of dining and drinking options. The overall experience offered by Grand Velas is second-to-none, and we'll be looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible.
Cons: The live music during dinners at Cocina de Autor, Sen Lin, and Piaf was pretty cheesy (think clarinets playing Sweet Child of Mine and harps playing the theme from Titanic). The quality of the food, service, and rest of the environs more than made up for it, but management should consider better live options (chill jazz would suffice) or curated playlists. For the money, I expected a slightly better beverage program. The liquor choices are very good, but having cocktail menus (and, preferably, different menus for different bars) at areas other than the beach service bar would be nice, and a tiki bar on the beach would be amazing. In the end, I sipped mostly straight tequila (all great stuff). So, some small areas for improvement, but we absolutely loved our stay overall.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Food was great. Room and accommodations fantastic .
Cons: The ocean at the beach area was rocky and shallow. Need to wear water shoes to go in. Policy on no reserving pool chairs not followed by many guests

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The food is excellent. The service exelent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The location, the amazing considerate and friendly staff, the privacy, the amenities, the whole experience just staying at Banyan Tree Mayakoba was amazing! You MUST try the Haab experience, it was an amazing experience. Also, FYI the hotel offers free professional photo sessions which you only need to pay for the actual photos(we were bummed that no one told us we would’ve liked to try it).
Cons: I wish there was an all inclusive package, not sure if there is. Also, it wasn’t clear to us that the food stations(french toast, omelette, quesadilla stations) at the breakfast buffet were not included in the price of the breakfast buffet.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that everyone has their own private villa - I felt like I had the entire resort to myself . The staff was also super friendly
Cons: The beach was gorgeous but the actual ocean wasn’t as crystal clear and blue as Cancun :/
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding service and attention to detail. Super friendly staff. Impeccable hotel grounds and facilities. Very good food.
Cons: Only 1 thing: The villa pool could have been cleaner.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything but prices for food. All inclusive me next time.
Cons: 15 dollar tacos was a stretch. I rush there were more food options locally available.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the Banyan tree. It was so peaceful and homey. The staff was wonderful. We were pampered and taken care of from the moment we stepped on the property. The villa was well cleaned and attended to during our stay.
Cons: Prices of the restaurants were quite pricey and the food wasn’t really worth it.

Overview Reviews
Located on one of the most impressive beaches of the Caribbean and surrounded by the legendary beauty of the Riviera Maya, the Barceló Maya Palace 5-star hotel is a spectacular luxury resort with exclusive services.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Somewhat remote. Expensive to take any day trips
6,5 Good
Pros: The food was pretty good. The staff were nice.
Cons: The inability to get reservations at a reasonable time, especially when your friends would tell you there were many empty tables.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quality and range of food and drinks, cleanliness, size of room, resort facilities were all excellent. The food in the French a la carte restaurant was amazing! The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The biggest positive though was the beautiful beach, with coral reef within easy swimming distance, loads of fish to spot, and a group of visiting turtles!
Cons: Housekeeping seemed a bit random, with the door cards resetting a couple of times, and a dressing gown disappearing. These are very minor niggles though.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Service was extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Dinner venues were not authentic, specially the Argentine and Brazilian restaurants
6,3 Good
Pros: Plenty to do if you like to stay busy on holiday. Service in the sports bar (only) was excellent.
Cons: Our check in experience at the “premier level” was shocking. Probably the worst customer service we’ve had in many years. Breakfast was cold every single morning. The only warm food that was available was directly from the cooking stations. Toilets near bars were very, very dirty. To the point I had to walk out of several of them (and I’m not easily grossed out!) Service at the bars was very average. Extremely disappointing considering the amount of money we paid for 8 days. Sadly, we would not go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - Friendliness of Staff - Quality of Food at the buffets - Excellent snorkeling and swimming with turtles
Cons: - A la carte restaurants - Spring breakers - way too many loud and obnoxious spring breakers here - avoid March and April!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were very impressed with the cleanliness, food options, beach and pools. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very safe at the resort. This was our 2nd visit and we will be returning.
Cons: We prescheduled and prepaid 4 snorkeling excursions with Dressel Divers which are listed on Barcelo's website. We went on 2 trips, both taking us off location by bus and took way too long for travel (11 hours for only 3 hours of water time with a guide who could have cared less about us) and the sites were not impressive. We were very sorry that we did not know to access higher quality trips with Barcelo's Guest Services.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel pools were nice and the swim up bar was a nice touch.
Cons: The food wasn’t the greatest. The drinks were pretty terrible. For the price the hotel did not do an outstanding job nor was my stay what I expected. There was no information on what activities where going to be held at the hotel. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels and have had a much better experience.
6,3 Good
Cons: Refrigerator in the room was broken.
7,9 Good
Pros: The resort is great, the rooms are big and confortable, good food , the staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: The beach is full of rocks and weeds, although picked up daily by the staff, appear constantly. But mostly, there was just a small part of the beach where you can swim at without that many rocks but far away from the main hotel where we were staying.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Very Uncomfortable mattress , did not like that they close the children pool all of them at 7 pm. They constantly run out of towels at the pool. The rooms we got were in Oaxaca very far from the pool, lobby, restaurants everything. Also every day the call at our room very early waking everyone.
Cons: Very Uncomfortable mattress , did not like that they close the children pool all of them at 7 pm. They constantly run out of towels at the pool. The rooms we got were in Oaxaca very far from the pool, lobby, restaurants everything. . Also every day the call at our room very early waking everyone. They don’t provide with umbrellas if it’s pouring. The stores only accept card payment no cash.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A lot of variation of breakfast, very good food and people very kind, the restaurants are big so there are no issues with the spaces.
Cons: Nothing to comment.
TRS Yucatan Hotel - Adults Only - Puerto Aventuras - Bedroom

TRS Yucatan Hotel is a 5-star luxury hotel that offers a calming retreat within the lively Riviera Maya. It is the perfect choice for couples and adults who want to enjoy privacy and personalized service whilst also offering unlimited access to a wide array of top quality services. The hotel pays homage to the indigenous flora and fauna, and the immaculate grounds are complemented by the elegant architecture and decor. From the moment guests check in, they get lost in the magic of TRS Yucatan Hotel, where worries disappear faster than the ebbing tide.
7,9 Good
Pros: The rooms were really nice
Cons: The Staff wasn’t as helpful and joyful as other hotels, specially the supervisor at check in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We fell in love as soon as we arrived to the grand entrance. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are well decorated and spacious, the variety of restaurants and bars is amazing. The quality of food along with the presentation is spectacular. Each restaurant we dined in had its own touch of class with waiters/waitresses being very well knowledged about the dishes and what they are made of. The butler service is a great touch and our butler Luis was the perfect gentleman. All staff were polite and inviting. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our anniversary and the fact they decorated our room and gifted us a bottle of champagne to celebrate was extremely appreciated. We love TRS Yucatan!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, wonderful staff, and the best treatment I have ever received at a resort. We will absolutely be going back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The TRS hotel is great for couples that need a quick getaway. We did not venture to the other kid friendly portion of the hotel, nor did we need too. This is great for a 4-5 day trip but I wouldn't stay here longer than 5 days.
Cons: The first room had some small ants moving around the sink area. Likely from a previous guest that had dropped something sweet. It was clean but obviously not to the point of being ant free clean. A quick call to the butler and 2hrs later we were in a new equivalent room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Probably the best hotel I ever been in my life. In doubt just book it
7,9 Good
Pros: The TRS suites with a pool are nice (albeit dimly lit); the hydrotherapy is not to missed (when the machines are working); there are plenty of pools throughout the property with differing levels of noise; the gym and spa pool are clean, spacious and very nice; Helios restaurant is consistent with a beautiful view. I recommend Helios for breakfast and lunch! If you’re here to drink and party, then the hotel might work well for you because they generously dispense liquor in room and throughout property. They provided a nice cake and champagne for my friend’s bday.
Cons: Dinner Reservations were an ORDEAL. On your first night, you cannot make reservations and the hotel does nothing to anticipate that you’re arriving and might want dinner. The butler recommended going to a buffet at one of the other palladium properties. We spent more than an hour running from one restaurant to another trying to find a spot. Finally, we were seated and discovered the restaurants off TRS are not very nice and are overrun with guests. You’re told to make reservations for your subsequent nights but the hotel has a paper based system and they don’t always remember to drop off your reservation slip which then creates subsequent problems; and no reminders or calls are given in case of delays. Reservation system is antiquated and there are clearly better more efficient and less stressful ways to manage the dinner experience. We had issues with dinner reservations on 3 of our 4 nights!!! Really left a very negative impression. Also, I don’t drink alcohol and would have preferred an all-inclusive that excluded alcohol (why am I subsidizing the heavy drinkers?) I arrived at 830am - the check-in desk told me that my room was empty (no guests were checking out) yet they still couldn’t give me access until 3pm. Why? Doesn’t make any sense if the room is empty and clean. Also, I said I wanted to shower while I waited and the receptionist never bothered to mention there are showers at the main hotel and also at the gym/spa. Overall, didn’t feel like staff were effectively trained (though they were generally very friendly). Finally, it was pretty annoying being stopped by workers marketing discounted massages for a commission. It gave it the feel of a much lower class property. People don’t want to be upsold massages while lounging by pools.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the food, the room and the pools
Cons: The beach. The infinity pool bar closes a little soon.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was so great! Will be back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall excellent
Cons: The transportation between locations could be easier.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beds were fantastic, the only downfall was that a lot of the elevators weren’t,t working which meant you had to walk from building to another . We were on the top floor and this was not very convenient, when they call it a 5* resort it should behave like one. The other thing the dooor on the shower leaked.
Cons: See above The so called vouchers given at checking are really worthless. Beware of timeshare type selling

Pros: Pool staff and bartenders were fantastic. All other staff were also top notch.
Cons: Food was ok, room was warm, common areas were also warm
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, beautiful grounds, excellent service
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Entertainment staff is very good!
Cons: Their top of the line resort needs a high end coffee shop, like they have at the next door property.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, facilities and nightly activities were excellent.
Cons: Better selection of included wines. The wine selection included with your stay is a very poor. Instead, Iberostar has a better wine selection for an unreasonable additional cost. I would prefer for Iberostar to provide a better product for their guests.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service and staff were awesome as well as the facility.
Cons: The sudden hot/cold temperature of the shower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every element of the property could not have been more perfect, but the staff stood out, they were genuinely friendly, gracious, and experts at their jobs. It was a treat spending time at this world-class resort!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Teater shows with drinks service Activities available ( biking, karaoke, etc..) Food - high quality and a lot lot of choice, cannot be unsatisfied Very beautiful hotel and design Bars, casinos, music, club etc...
Cons: -The room service doesn't take your request seriousely. Every time they bring something different: For Espresso I got a normal coffee When asling for Grand breakfast, I got only the eggs and the juice - when we arrived they told us all the restaurants were fully booked except one for one dinner, but this is not fair, since you book for all inclusive option and you cannot reserve the restaurant. Finally they made the resevations happen, but I would prefer not complaining about this and having equal treatment as other guests who were able to get their dinner in the restaurants
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet resort, nice pools, great service and awesome food.
7,5 Good
Pros: Service very good
Cons: Sea bathing not good. Pool entertainment too noisey. Expensive for single occupancy. Some evening shows not very tasteful.. Building maintenance work during my two weeks stay

Pros: Rooms were very clean, surrounding area was beautiful with lots of animals out (even saw some spider monkeys!). Also close to alot of restaurants/bars in the area. Host was super attentive!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, spotless in every room and common area. Very relaxed laid back atmosphere. Sonia and Alberto were helpful and very interesting. Excellent breakfast, scrambled eggs perfect!
Cons: Instant coffee
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great here at the hotel.
Cons: One should realize that this bed and breakfast is inside a gated community. I did not really like the Gated Community or the beach that was there. This is not the fault of the hotel at all.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and safe area. Nice room in a villa with very tasty breakfast. One of best places in Yucatan for a reasonably price.
4,2 Okay
Pros: there was a tub
Cons: this place is highly rated, alltough our experience was far from good. we stayed on the suite with a pool view. 4 people. this place would be confortable for 2 adults with a kid, there is a small room, with no AC and a tv, so perfect for a kid (if you dont mind not having privacy, since there is no door). The woman got upset when my brother told her the sheet was upside down... this place has a sensor on doors and windows, if you open them, the AC will shut down, and you have to turn on the switch and the AC remote. breakfast was minimum, no fruit, only eggs, coffe (instant) and something that was a tinny of orange juice with water. the overall expericence was very poor, probably we expect too much since is rated so high. oh and at some moment i needed it use a bathroom and it look like it was painful for them to let me use the spare bathroom next to the kitchen…. also (I just remember) you are not allowed to use the kitchen, so if you need a plate or heat up something on the microwave,,, good luck (only small frigobar shared with all guests)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable rooms in very safe and quite area, but close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Great connection to go around for trips (also with the bus or " collectivos") . The owner are very helpful and friendly.
6,7 Good
Pros: I thought the house was very nice and the yard looks nice but due to the party next door, I couldn't even go outside and read my book in peace. I'm sure when it's quiet in the neighborhood the backyard is absolutely fabulous to just hang out by the pool. It was actually hard to try to take a nap in my room because of all the noise. my purpose of going to that place was to catch up on some well-needed rest and I left being more tired than when I got there.
Cons: There was a birthday party for kids next door which wasn't the owner's fault but definitely was not relaxing at all! The bed was very uncomfortable and I was hoping to get a comfortable bed for the night. It is located in a gated community where they keep dolphins and seals in captivity for entertainment for the guests that stay there. That was very disturbing and upsetting. I would not like to participate in a community like that again. I have Celiac so I wasn't able to eat any of the breakfast she provided except for the eggs. Was a little bummed that I couldn't have a nice enjoyable breakfast seeing that the place was a bed and breakfast. They should provide some alternatives for people who have dietary issues or ask about their dietary issues before they come stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous: Sonya and Alberto are the owners and their very beautiful villa. One must really go there to fully experience and appreciate their efforts of accommodating their guests!
Cons: My visit of two nights was way too short......especially heading back to winter conditions on the East Coast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was perfect. The hosts made us decilious breakfast both days. They say and helped us with ideas of where to go for dinner and sight seeing. So incredibly helpful and kind! We would def stay there again!
Cons: It was perfect!

Pros: The owners are friendly and helpful. The shared breakfast table made it easy to interact with fellow guests which was interesting and enjoyable. There was a wider range of shops and restaurants on the site than we had anticipated.

Pros: Everything most of all quiet place

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was great!
Cons: Buffet should have better choices.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Heaven section of the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya is extremely impressive. The room was fantastic with a balcony and terrace with hammock. The upstairs also had a Jacuzzi bath and the partial sea view was impressive. Room service was extremely fast and the food was very tasty. Overall the food and beverage offerings in the hotel are amazing. The only thing that could be slightly better is the booking process in the A La Carte restaurants. The pool area was vibrant but relaxing at the same time and there is so much space. Overall one of the best all inclusive category hotels I have stayed in.
Cons: The inside bar areas and main lobby's of both the Hacienda and the Heaven buildings are quite cold, the AC was turned very low - recommended to have a light jacket or jumper with you in order to not be too cold if inside.

Pros: The staff was beyond amazing. Well informed, friendly, and helpful.
Cons: Service at the Hibachi was horribly slow. I think we waited longer than it took us to eat.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: we liked that the Heaven accepted our reservation for the entire 5 day stay.
Cons: the choices of top shelf tequila. We did not like the food selection for lunch, the only food service was the outside pool bar or room service. We found out the room service was a better choice.

Pros: Beach, staff, food, pool parties, facilities. The best hotel for the price !

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything... Well, the hotel and grounds were absolutely stunning - both Heaven and Hacienda. Lovely greenery, great pool area with a swim up bar and a number of beaches in both parts of the hotel. We stayed in Heaven, adults only and sheer luxury. Upon arrival to our ‘Diamond Premier Suite’ room, we found a large king size bed, jacuzzi bath in the room and a waterfall shower before being shown to the balcony which had a sea view with a seating area and hammock. The room however, had a terrible damp smell, the floor was full of condensation and the lampshades had mould on them - being asthmatic, this obviously done my chest no favours. It took 2 days for us to be changed rooms, to the same room with a better smell. The pool area was lovely, great entertainment team and music to suit all preferences - this however, was slightly too loud - meaning if you wanted to relax you had no option but to head to the beach. We ate in Ciao, Zen and Le Petit Cochin and WOW - absolutely outstanding meals, service and atmosphere with live musicians playing in Ciao and Teppanyaki shows in Zen. Across the whole hotel from bell boys, pool staff, waiters, entertainment team the service was nothing short of exceptional - we tipped each waiter who served us $1 per day and we were treat like complete royalty. The spa was OK, but definitely not as grand as I expected considering I had read on the website that it was ‘the biggest spa in the Caribbean’ - you also had to book a treatment to gain access to the spa itself, so this is not available to all residents.
Cons: In terms of the Limitless All Inclusive - don’t be fooled. It’s not all it is advertised to be. They advertise that you receive a fee for only 25% of the cost of anything you pay for through the hotel. We booked a trip to swim with Dolphins for $400 which we received the discount for - but then had to pay for a transfer with no discount and also extras when we arrived to the excursion. I had a treatment in the spa which was lovely, and the therapist was fab - she offered me a sheet face mask which in the UK can be purchased for 50pence - she proceeded to charge me $15 dollars for this (NOT INCLUDED IN LIMITLESS ALL INCLUSIVE). Then, I decided to head to the beauty salon to get two scalp plaits in my hair - the menu in the salon classed this as a half head braid priced at $48, meaning with the LAI it would be $12, a reasonable amount for the 15 minute job of putting two plaits in my hair tied with two elastic bands. Upon checkout today, it was brought to my attention that I was to be charged $48 dollars for the scalp plaits as the braiding treatments weren’t actually included in the L.A.I - after I’d been advised all treatments were included. I spoke to the supervisor who to be honest, was no help whatsoever and I ended up paying the full $48 for something which would cost £10 maximum in the UK.

Pros: We are never disappointed with the Hard Rock All-Inclusives- loved the rooftop jacuzzi, fresh food with lots of options, good drinks, friendly wait staff (Jesus at the poolside area was particularly great). We felt safe and comfortable and knew we would be well-taken care of.
Cons: You have to know it’s more than an hour from the Cancun airport (but close to Tulum and some great snorkeling). Wish the Heaven (adults-only) side was bigger, as we had to get a room in the family side of the resort since Heaven sells out faster. But we love that there are adults-only pools and beaches (and restaurants) so we don’t have to listen to crying kids when we want to have some quiet time.

Pros: AmaZed by everything. I have stayed at several all inclusives and this has by far exceeded expectations. Great food choices, staff super attentive and not hungry for tips, rooms so clean, all great.
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: The room we reserved on booking.com does not exist in the hotel. The hotel charged us an additional 600 to get the right room. They claim it’s a Booking.com issue, booking.com claims it’s a hard rock issue. In the end, the consumer is stuck in the middle with no recourse. On top of that, when I’m trying to leave they want to charge additional hundreds of dollars because they said we had more people in the room than we reserved. (This in spite of clear email that states number of people in the room. ) by the way, the food was terrible, there is no beach, And it’s impossible to get reservations in the restaurants.
7,9 Good
Pros: This is a lovely property with many animals, beautiful views, comfy rooms, and solid food. Was always clean and well-maintained. Food service was pretty amazing, actually.
Cons: Food times/restaurant hours changed often from the printed materials. It was pretty non-intuitive to find out what was going on, as there is no digital way to interact in your room, etc.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good food and lots of facilities
Cons: More chairs at the pools and beaches
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Huge buffet with excellent options. The property overall is gorgeous and the beaches and pool areas are wonderful. Drinks were hit or miss. Some we absolutely loved, others were just average. Very comfortable rooms. Dinner logistics really disappointed but other than that we had a pleasant stay.
Cons: Dinner was a nightmare! Upon arrival we were encouraged to make reservations everyday but were guaranteed that, if we did not make reservations, we could go to a standby line and wait for about 15 minutes. That is not what happened! On our first night we waited for 50 minutes at Toro to get a table. At least we got a table! On our second night, we went to 7 different restaurants and got turned down by all of them! They didn’t tell us “wait for 30 or 40 or 50 minutes”. They told us “there is no room today. Find another restaurant”. The Asian restaurant at least told us to come back in 40 minutes so they could try to seat us. After said time passed, we went back only to be told there would be no seats available. And this was at almost 9pm! The funny thing was, we could see from outside that all of these restaurants were at least half empty, which really confused us as to why we couldn’t be seated. After an hour and a half walking to each restaurant to no avail (from 7:30 until 9pm!), we were hungry and frustrated so we went to the concierge and asked where the buffet was. He then told us he could make a reservation for the italian restaurant for 9:15pm. We then arrived at the restaurant to discover that even more than half the tables were empty. Service was slow and the food was unimpressive. The next day, we were at the lobby at 08:30 am to make reservations and were surprised to know that there were no restaurants available! After a long discussion we were able to make reservations for the asian restaurant for 9:45pm. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, with conflicting information given by staff. We have stayed at other Hard Rock Hotels and have never seen such bad logistics. Hard Rock should send someone to train these people. Everyone seemed lost and we’re sad to say it put a damper on our vacation experience.

Cons: Food was good although after a few days, it got repetitive. They should have an Indian restaurant - people would love that.

Pros: resort & property was extremely clean & beautifull. Suite was very nice. Staff very nice & helpful.
Cons: Very confusing. Reservations were required even if restaurant empty. Buffet was good. Our biggest disappointment was the food in the restaurants! Very substandard. The french was the worst(we went straight to buffet). The next biggest disappointment was having only on choice in beer. My wife & I are not big drinkers but like a beer before dinner. She does not like XX! Also no diet or sugar free drinks. No guest guide in room. These mat seem like small things, but when spending over $500 per night, they are important enough to us to never use Iberostar again.

Pros: Very good, large selection. Has a nice view of the ocean from the outdoor seating area. Smoking is permitted in this area so that is a negative for me. Many restaurants for dinner with great food and service.
Cons: They have a rule "No saving loungers at the pool" but they do not enforce it.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is absolutely beautiful and conveniently located. It’s also very easy to navigate at night because the paths on the resort are very well lit.
Cons: There is nothing I didn’t like about the property.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It has everything you need. If you want to do nothing but chill, eat delicious food, drink amazing cocktails and relax by the pool/ beach with a book, this is the place for you. There is so much to do, you can’t get bored.
Cons: If you do want to venture out and see Mexico, transportation is a bit hefty. There is a bus you can book to the nearest town with shopping at about 15$ pp return which leaves twice a day. You can’t really just walk out the resort and wonder off somewhere else as you’ll be met with a really busy highway. In my opinion and with many experience staying in 5* resorts/ hotels, daily transfers to the nearest town ought to be complimentary for guests but of course booked in advanced with timetable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food selection was amazing and international. There was not one bad restaurant we visited. Overall they make you feel like royalty. The location of our room was a swim up. It was quiet and relaxing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent check-in experience. Many thanks to Celeste. Amazing resort, beautiful nature and very well cared for. I loved that they are so eco-friendly and even have a turtle rescue program. The room was very nice with a pleasant bathroom. The pool area was excellent and the beach area like paradise. Food was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit again.
Cons: The food in some of the restaurants was mediocre. The food during our Teppanyaki evening was very bad. Expected the most out of this evening because it was a reservation only. Didn’t meet our expectations unfortunately.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fron the moment of driving in and the gate staff greating you, to being welcomed by bell boys, servers and front desk, to the genuine staff in every restaurant and bar, housekeepers, gardeners, security, spa attendants and (if not best of all) the pool entertainment people, this place is amazing.
Cons: Food was delicious but not 5 star. There was enormous amount of food but instead of quantity, they should focus more on the quality of the food.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The resort is full of Awe! Very Beautiful, best restaurants and entertainment hands down.
Cons: Unless you pay for privilege, it seems the staff are not as personable as other resorts. Also my phone came up missing-- later determined stolen. Resort was slow to respond.

Pros: Lots of activities, great food, entertaining staff, and adult beverages
Cons: Would have been nice to have a coffee bar.

Pros: Hotel is amazing. Very much recommended. Staff and stay. Breakfast is great! If you have an auto rental even better because staff can recommend you places to visit near by. Second time staying. Also they release turtles they keep when are born.

Cons: The problem of seaweed in the beaches! The cusine suppose to have an international standard
6,3 Good
Pros: The staff, the pools, the beach. If you just want to sit on the beach all day and be waited on and don't really care about the room it might be for you.
Cons: The rooms were uncomfortable and needed updating. Sea facing rooms balconies practically facing each other so no privacy and all seem to be right overlooking the bar/restaurant (view of the ocean in our room 26 almost totally obscured by the huge roof of the bar as well). Smoking allowed on the balcony and our neighbour was smoking cigars so it wasn't nice to sit outside. Food hugely expensive. Hotel needs a bit of TLC. Captive animals really upset me. They keep a peacock in a tiny cage and put a poor stressed looking parrot out each day for people to gawk at.
7,1 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel and beautiful beach if there would be not the problem with the seagrass. The hotel makes everything in their power cleaning up daily this natural Desaster. It’s a pitty but the reality is different from what the hotel provides on pictures from the beach and the sea which I do not understand . I would communicate this subject transparent wit the customer. The kitchen / food is excellent but a bit to expensive. Same for wine and others .
Cons: Food was excellent . The provided cooking classes are super nice

Cons: No TV in rooms. Rooms are OK, but not great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful traditional property with anazing beach, pools and gardens
Cons: Wasn’t overly keen on the food but maybe I ordered the wrong things for my taste
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Beach was excellent and not at all crowded - plenty of beach beds (free of charge). Restaurant was good although expensive (by Mexico standards - not London standards!). Very friendly beach bar open until late evening. Fitness centre well-equipped. Bedroom was very comfortable, with good air-con, plus ceiling fan; good wifi. Bathroom good as well. Hotel in a very quiet position well away from the main coast road. Close enough to Playa del Carmen and Cancun for an easy visit (but why would you? not recommended, either of them!!); 30 minutes from Cancun airport.
Cons: The only gripe was the pricing - it is expensive (but its very high quality). But also everything is priced excluding tax and service, so add 16% +15% to every price you see : room rates, bar, restaurant etc. Belmond : just include the tax and service and be done with it! otherwise, it was very enjoyable, and a hotel to which we will definitely return if we get the opportunity.
7,9 Good
Pros: The people are super friendly and honestly want to make your experience unique. The facilities are very nice, a bit old fashion so you need to like it (I do). The weekly program keeps you busy (yoga, tennis, cooking classes, theme dinners, trips). 24 hour service. Good food.
Cons: I think prices are a bit excessive but I learned this is the case in all Riviera Maya so I am not criticizing the Hotel necessarily but the destination. The restaurant serves good food but 100 $ for a BBQ buffet dinner or a Mexican buffet dinner it is too much in my opinion. All prices have an additional 16% service and 16% tax. you feel like you are in the US! In Mexico City for ex. you pay 100$ in the best restaurant in town with Michelin stars. 240 $ for a 50 min massage (I pay less in Switzerland in the same type of hotel!) I think they could balance by offering more complementary things (more yoga / Pilates class over the day for example, or nonalcoholic cocktails by the pool). I had to organize the trip to Tulum myself because they could not find a guide for the Friday and they work with only 1 tour operator that charged double the price of what I paid. Overall it is a good hotel and I had a good time but I am not sure I would travel 14h from EU for it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, as is the whole area. The staff were very attentive and friendly, going above and beyond in every single interaction we had with them. We're already making plans to go back, and we just got home yesterday!
Cons: If I had to quibble with anything - and this is a very minor quibble - it's that the food was good but not great. That's not to say there was anything wrong with it, per se, but there were times when it felt a bit basic. Although we did have two really nice meals in the Italian restaurant that were quite memorable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in Cancun Secrets the Vine last November and it was awesome.. However the Vine had a small beach. whereas Secrets Mroma has a beautiful shore. The food here is as good as the Vine (which says a lot) , however the Maroma drinks exceed out expectations . Maroma is a bit isolated which can be a plus, whereas the Vine is on the Cancun strip and very close to shopping. The two in a way complement each other. I recommend both.
Cons: I can't think of anything.

Pros: Enjoyed the location and facilities. Very clean and safe. The breakfast was sufficient for what we need. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful facility. Staff surprised my wife on the morning of her birthday with a small cake with our coffee in the room. Was very nice !
Cons: Some language barriers but was always able to communicate what was needed with my limited Spanish. Even though most rooms were occupied, did not see other guests utilize the facilities, so not sure if the staff would be able to handle a increase of requests from guests. Pool filter seemed to not be working quite right, so the pool was a little cloudy. Maintenance was working to fix the issue the day we were leaving.
