Pros: Beautiful, luxurious rooms, very clean. Excellent breakfast service and a wonderful buffet. Knowledgeable staff and very quick to help. An example is that I needed a key replacement and there was a long line of people checking in. I went to the Guest Relations Manager to ask, and first she said I had to wait in line, but then she herself came over to open a counter and get me my key fast. The location is not a problem, we took Uber and it cost 7 euro to get to the bridge.

Cons: Well if I must find something I didn't like, I'd say the view from our room was nothing much, but then we were out most of the day, and the Club Room view was very nice, it had a balcony.

Cons: I stayed at the Hotel Tuela nearby for 50 euros less a night before I came to the Porto Palacio and it was much, much better there. The bed was more comfortable and the staff were much more friendly. Twice I tried to visit the bar at Porto Palacio for a coffee or drink and even though it was empty and the waiter was there doing nothing it took ages for him to acknowledge me and take my order. The room was was freezing cold and I tried to make it warmer but the temperature never changed. The hair dryer wasn’t very strong. The sheets were stiff and pillow flimsy. Now that I know I can get a much nicer hotel for much cheaper, I won’t stay at the Porto Palacio, I will stay at the HF Tuela.

Pros: The hotel is a modern building, of a good standard where you don't expect unpleasant surprises. I had asked for a quiet room and got exactly what I had expected. The bed was very comfortable and there is a kettle in the room, with complimentary tea/ instant coffee. The breakfast buffet is very good, with a great variety of hot food, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurts, fruit. There is an espresso/ capuccino/ hot chocolate machine, which is nice. The hotel personnel is very polite and helpful.

Cons: Bed was not the most comfortable and towels had strange blue stains, the smell of mold and only bar soap – but worst of all, I did not really get any sleep because of the inexistant sound proofing; I woke up several times every night at various hours to either people behind the wall coming back and talking in their room or to random people shouting and screaming on the street
