Large grounds with swimming pool, children's swing and slide, mini golf and giant chess in the garden. There is a communal lounge with pool and foosball table as well as a kitchen if you wish to cook your own meals. The master suite was spacious and perfect for our family of 4. Really super breakfast with a great choice and lovely fresh fruit, bread and pastries.
Cons: Wasn't as rural as I was expecting.

Pros: Nice environment
Cons: The smell in one of the toilets was not nice

Pros: The nature that embraced the hotel. It was so peaceful, we love it! The location, in the center between Alcobaça and Nazaré.
Cons: The pillows were very hard so it's was uncomfortable. We didn't get to much sleep. Next time we would bring ours.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the rooms.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Many things: the breakfast, the swimming pool, the location,...
Cons: The AC machine was old and à little too noisy.
7,5 Good
Pros: Huge bathroom, calm surroundings, free parking
Cons: The room was very small and clutchy. The breakfast team is more concerned to avoid the extra work than to make sure you enjoy the breakfast. We had to wait for almost 10 minutes while one person was slowly resetting the table, instead of letting us use the table prepared for lunch. And the restaurant was empty.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel
Cons: WIFI didn't work in my room and no one was able to do anything about it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything had the wow factor
Cons: N/A
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The spa experience is really relaxing. Breakfast is awesome.
Cons: Reception is a bit slow, also given the number of customers during weekends.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location and the rooms!
Cons: They were great
5,5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. It was in a very quiet place even if it was a horse s... odor.
Cons: We were very surprised when it turned out that the room rate did not include the Spa and Of course it told to us only when we got out of the spa. Probably written down somewhere, but we've never met that before, So I didn't think there was one. In addition, they only let go in a bath cap that of course had to be bought there. The water of the jacuzzi was cold and the pressure of the water bath was very weak. The room had a strange smell. The experience of the receptionists was very weak and one of the waiter didn't know English
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was good and the place was nice and clean.
Cons: At the breakfast, coffee was not served at the table.

7,5 Good
Pros: - perfect spa and wellness area - beautiful building and rooms - very friendly cleaning staff
Cons: - staff is unfreandly (exception is cleaning staff) - not competent staff and not motivated - maybe they prefer to be unenployed
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice building. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The welcome wine and the breakfast are very good.
Cons: People at reception were never reachable, neither by phone nor personally. Our room card did not work and we had to wait with all the bagages outside the door for 20 minutes, before we could find somebody to help us. I booked a room with a bottle of wine as welcome gift, and there was no wine opener! It took us again 20 minutes to reach the reception by phone for the wine opener. In the bathroom, it is written that it is forbidden to throw the toilet paper directly into the toilet...no comment. I strongly suggest to not have lunch or dinner at the hotel.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Indoor pool. The view from the bedroom.
Cons: Working noise without previous notice. Bikes needs maintenance or upgrade to new ones.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The facilities
Cons: The fact that there was a cockroach in the bathroom
4,5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No power and then no breakfast or WiFi. Bath jets didn’t work and scaffolding everywhere! Didn’t offer a partial refund and made us pay full price. No manager available and asked us to email, as wouldn’t give a direct number or email, which has now been ignored. Really disappointing......
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 5 star facilities, but not 5 star price, excellent breakfast Very large lunchtime sandwich
Cons: Ordered pasta for evening meal, very dry no sauce,
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The Spa is very nice. Many people seem to travel here for a weekend retreat. We had a very relaxing stay in general. The view from our hotel was great too - I've included a picture of sunset from the balcony.
Cons: The food was average. Breakfast had a lot of options, but the quality is lower than other hotels. The lunch and dinner menu was the same and was quite limited. We ate here on the first night and had lunch more than once but ate out after that. There are better options for food just a short drive away.
5,8 Okay
Cons: Very low design and old style. Rooms are very ordinary.

Pros: Good bacon
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I got to the hotel early, left my luggage and went to Alcobaca Monastery. When I came back and went up to the room, I was speechless and excited. Room was huge and very nice: a large hallway with a window, sofa, table, chair and minibar, big bathroom with bidet and bathtub, two large and comfortable beds, a full-length mirror in the room. There were enough power sockets and lighting options, quiet air conditioning. Finally, there was a spacious balcony with stunning view of the monastery, central square and old castle on the hill. Room cleaning was flawless. Breakfast was great and variegated.
Cons: Some of the lighting in the room is "cold" and "blue", not "warm" and "yellow". But may be it's a feature, not a flaw.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff at check in. And great view from our window. The beautiful monastery.
9,5 Excellent

Cons: Expensive

Cons: No air conditioning and no mosquito netting on windows. No terrace. Ran out of hot water.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location to beach and Resturants
Cons: Very noisy outside late at night , due to the situation of our room , within the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kind of unbelievable this is 56 euro a night. It's steps to the beach, the breakfast is small but nice. Staff is great, the town is magical.
Cons: Nothing, it's great
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent especially the fresh fruit, so many choices.
Cons: Our room was damp in places and the wardrobe smelt a bit of damp. There's very little parking near the hotel.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice hosts, nice breakfast.
Cons: The rooms were really damp and had a funky smell. I had the window open and the fan in the bathroom on hoping this would help. When I got into bed at nigh it felt like everything was wet. So the ventilation in the rooms were awful. And the floor was very dusty. The company of four only stayed for one night and after that night two of us got a cold.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed but a little small for us!!! We are not enormous but used to much bigger beds. Very friendly team and good breakfast.great location
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Professional and considerate staff.
Cons: Breakfast without natural Yogurt, not everyone like milk/café.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: It's a grand old building a street back from the beach. Inside it's a little faded but there's a certain charm about it. Buffet breakfast on the top floor with a view out to sea was excellent. Amazing value for money.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, very clean rooms with a unique style. superb breakfast. It provided everything that I want from a hotel
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, central location, great breakfast with fantastic view and the room was heated upon our arrival, that was a nice plus :)
Cons: As it was mentioned before, the pillow choice is either quite hard/high or strangely flat. But this would not prevent me from returning to this place.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was nice, may be not very reach but normal and sufficient. Location was very nice, we saw Alcobaca's Monastery from our window. We parked the car just in front of the hotel.
7,5 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpfully.breakfast was ok.price was reasonable.
Cons: First floor room 211 facing the main road.very noisy we did not get a good night's sleep.
7,5 Good
Pros: within walking distance of town. good value for money.
Cons: everything was a bit dated.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The Staff (expect cleaning ladies) and the location
Cons: I just wanted to sleep, but at 07:30 start a huge noise. Some noises I could not understand where they were coming from (but not from the outside of the building). And also the cleaning ladies talking out loud between each other on a Sunday early morning (07:00 until 08.00 where I decided to get off the bed and talk to them).
7,5 Good
Cons: Banner" Hotel "with red light was very Irritating.
5,8 Okay
Pros: the bed was ok, and so was the building, the overall construction
Cons: I did hear everything from the room next to mine; there was only one eletrical socket in the room; the breakfast was very poor
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good parking
Cons: If its weekend expect noise up to 2 AM because they have late group dinners. Breakfast room is clearly under-sized meaning you will probably share a round table with other guess.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Parking was easy, well it was off season. Dont know what it would be like high season. Wifi worked.
Cons: aircon only worked intermittently and the manager didn't seem to know how to fix it. It was a cold night so it made the stay untenable so I checked out the next morning. Wooden floor was dirty, stained and scratched. handrail outside window rusty, outside decorations dirty and clearly in need of a wash and new coat of paint. Door knob missing from furniture, no armchair, had to ask for a chair to sit at the desk as there wasn't one when I arrived.
7,0 Good
Cons: I found some crawling insects in the bedroom (Bicho cadela - Ear wigs).
4,5 Okay
Pros: Stuff is quite friendly. Bathroom is not bad, with unlimited supply of hot water. The breadfast is actually quite exceptional, fresh and lots of variety, unlike other hostel or BnB's. Very close to bus station and monastery, so close that you can finish the monastery tour before checkin and hop on bus to batalha.
Cons: Dated room with bare-bone facility, even though the lobby is well kept. Really wet inside and smelly. Slippy floor, maybe due to alcoa river is right besides the hotel. Have to dress myself to get some sleep as bed sheet doesn't seem to be that clean. I am sure it has its time, maybe twenty years ago. But now only some serious TLC could help regain their glory.
