Pros: Lovely and clean, comfortable and yet more modern than most B&Bs with everything you could need. Nikki and Brent were warm and welcoming from the first moment, with tips for the New Year and even great book recommendations! Room and ensuite were spacious with a view opening out over the harbour and nice clean alfresco seating on the wooden deck outdoors, as well as a warm indoor balcony. There are two sheep out in the backyard whom we had the chance to feed and books + DVDs if we wanted. Amazing hospitality about 5mins drive from the waterfront and incredibly comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again!

Pros: Escape to Picton Boutique Hotel is a very nice renovation and use of an old building in the heart of Picton. The rooms are lovingly redecorated to an olde world theme. The staff were very friendly and caring.
Cons: The rooms have no air conditioning which meant having the window open and letting in bugs or strong winds (or both). It would probably be very cosy in winter. There was no refrigerator in the room nor an in-room safe. The bed, while big, was not all that comfortable.

Cons: The shower head wasn't good enough, the water squirts up against the glass and not easily adustable. There was light coming into the room from the kitchen window so it could do with a blind over it. the chairs around the little table were not comfortable at all and would definitely not suit bigger people.

Homepage said they had stovetop, but there is no, so we had to go restaurant instead of cooking at room. Bathroom water (hand basin) kept dripping.

Pros: It was great, that we could check in late. It wasn't far away from the ferry and also the price for a room for two with private bathroom was very nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning. The shared kitchen is huge and well equipped.
Cons: Shower was making really scary and loud noises when using it. It was really uncomfortable because we came late and didn't want to wake up everyone in adjacent rooms.

We were not happy with this and think that we should have been informed, we recommend definitely telling your reception staff to inform customers of this as it put a dampener on our experience at your hotel. However we do understand that money needs to be held for incidentals, but think there should be a clearer understanding.

Cons: At no time were we notified of the on-going Construction/Rennovation to the Hotel until we were unpacked in room. Room was cold (not prepared for guests), noisey rubbish truck outside. Upon inspection, noted it was a crane withing 30 metres from the room working on the property - after putting up with it for 20 minutes we enquired from Reception with regard to when it would stop. Told at 7.00 pm restarting at 8.00 am in morning. Raining heavily when arrived were unable to really look at exterior or be aware of the noise levels. Unfortunately no compensation of any sort was suggested and the Jack Hammer starting at 7.45 am the follwing morning was the end. Not good value for money at all!!!!!

The beautiful, massive table of native timber is adjacent to the kitchen, and is a very pleasant place to sit. There are comfortable, inviting places to lounge around outside at the back; and there are a couple of “sitting rooms” inside as well. This time we had one of at least two double rooms that have “en suite” bathing/loo facilities (Rm. #15); and though we felt a bit cramped with our two huge suitcases, the room was perfectly adequate. The location of The Villa is ideal—perfectly central, but quiet. There are washing machines, by the way, if you need to catch up on your laundry.
