Pros: Beautifully presented historic house in a nice quiet setting just a 10 minute walk to the Town Centre. Our room made us feel at home and our hots were most welcoming. We did jump on the opportunity to play the croquet set up in the beautiful gardens just for the fun of it and enjoyed the curious looks from the beautiful alpacas on the hill. The breakfast chia pudding yogurt muesli and fruits were fantastic. Thanks so much Michelle and Stefan for making our stay such a wonderful experience.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Absolutely everything , cannot rate the quality of the accommodation , the hospitality or the breakfast and additional touches high enough. Best stay ever in a B and B.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Being able to have breakfast when it suited us and in our own room (in our pyjamas if we wanted), without having a communal breakfast table. Hosts pleasant and chatty without being intrusive. Uncomplicated check-in. Spacious room. Harvey (the dog) is adorable! Highly recommend hiking a stage or two of the Queen Charlotte track to anyone staying in Picton!
Cons: Nothing really - It’s about a 15 minute walk into Picton (an easy walk), however this wasn’t an issue as the owners kindly lent us bikes to use!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Liked the freedom and flexibility of the breakfast set-up, lots of variety. Location was great, a 15 minute walk to town. Michelle and Stephan were very helpful with many aspects; much appreciated. Their Dog, Harvey, was a most gracious host and welcoming party, LOL.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Michelle and Stephan are attentive hosts. They received us warmly as we arrived, served breakfast in our room. At our request last minute, they called to alter a sailing time on the InterIsland Ferry then drove us there. The house holds 19th century architectural appeal yet is meticulously cleaned.
Cons: Our 15 minute walk to the home from the train station past light industrial workshops might not appeal to everyone, though we found it interesting.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing hosts, incredible room and furnishings. We were gutted to only be able to spend one night there. Next time coming through on the ferry will be staying there again, for sure. Thank you for a perfect end to our south island adventure.
Cons: Everything was perfect, could not be improved
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Michelle was so lovely. She picked us up from the ferry and made us feel so welcome We left early the following morning and she actually delivered breakfast to our room at 7:00 The room was beautiful and we will certainly return
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The service was warm and friendly but not intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble for our delightful hosts. The accommodation was both sophisticated and homely. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The breakfasts and coffee were delicious. So many added extras and the attention to every detail was exemplary. Sennan House is located in a very quiet area but just a short walk from town. Just perfect!
Cons: Faultless. Everything exceeded expectations.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: I really like the breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Loved the old world charm, location and warm welcoming hosts. Independent apartments allow privacy from other guests. My hosts organized to have me on a wine tour within 5 minutes of my arrival at my request and they went out of their way to make my stay special including a pick up from the Inter island ferry and Picton station drop off. My hosts also organized the perfect cruise to walk the Queen Charlotte Day walk. Loved my stay ! Thank you

Pros: Hosts and location. To be able to sit outside on the patio with a lovely view. Shuttles service. Nice continental breakfasts. Cleanliness of the rooms. It was perfect. If ever in Picton again we would definitely stay there again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lovely hosts, no problems when the ferry was running very late. Wonderful room, very plush and an exquisite bathroom. For a one night stay after a very long day.... perfect. Thanks Nikki and Brent, good to meet you.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Absolutely lovely property and hosts
Cons: N/A
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Lovely and clean, comfortable and yet more modern than most B&Bs with everything you could need. Nikki and Brent were warm and welcoming from the first moment, with tips for the New Year and even great book recommendations! Room and ensuite were spacious with a view opening out over the harbour and nice clean alfresco seating on the wooden deck outdoors, as well as a warm indoor balcony. There are two sheep out in the backyard whom we had the chance to feed and books + DVDs if we wanted. Amazing hospitality about 5mins drive from the waterfront and incredibly comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful suite in excellent location. Exceptional attention by staff.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We will stay again, this place is special.
Good 7,0
Pros: Escape to Picton Boutique Hotel is a very nice renovation and use of an old building in the heart of Picton. The rooms are lovingly redecorated to an olde world theme. The staff were very friendly and caring.
Cons: The rooms have no air conditioning which meant having the window open and letting in bugs or strong winds (or both). It would probably be very cosy in winter. There was no refrigerator in the room nor an in-room safe. The bed, while big, was not all that comfortable.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Centrally located, friendly staff, great restaurant. I had mussels, kingfish and pavlova, could not fault. Bed comfy.
Cons: Bathroom on basic level does not have shower, only bath. Breakfast a bit light
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Beautiful room comfortable bed. Large deep bath with lovely salts snd bubbles provided.
Cons: A fridge would be useful in the room as we bought a bottle of wine at Brancott earlier that day and it would have been nice to have it on the deck.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent service and loved the delicious muffin and coffee in the mornings. Room spacious, bed and pillows comfy. The French style room was beautifully decorated. The restaurant meals were amazing, make sure you try their signature dish the baked avocado.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The staff were excellent. Couldn't have been more helpful.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location in Picton's main shopping street. Great wi-fi and plenty of power points for recharging our devices. Shower was hot and bed was comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful on arrival. Carparking outside the door.
Cons: No kitchen sink but guests can leave their dirty dishes for staff to wash, so no problem for us. No other negatives.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: This property is obviously well loved by its owners.
Cons: No room to move for plants, pictures, cushions, throws, tables, chairs, provisions, this property has it all. A nick nack at every turn. Needs to be seen to be believed. Pros: Picton was basically a ferry-hopping stop for us, so we had booked a relatively inexpensive yet nice hotel for the night. It matched our expectations. Location is nice, next to the waterfront and you can see even the cruise terminal from the room.

Pros: Trampoline
Cons: Small shower door broken cramped put dated

Pros: Very central location, within easy walking distance to all amenities. Loved the free wifi too. Beds were incredibly comfortable.
Cons: The shower head wasn't good enough, the water squirts up against the glass and not easily adustable. There was light coming into the room from the kitchen window so it could do with a blind over it. the chairs around the little table were not comfortable at all and would definitely not suit bigger people.
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: Moldy, a bathroom corner turned black. I could see dust on chairs and former guest's rubbish in bedside drawer, marks on kitchen wall. Hand towels are not white, need bleach. Homepage said they had stovetop, but there is no, so we had to go restaurant instead of cooking at room. Bathroom water (hand basin) kept dripping.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: It was great, that we could check in late. It wasn't far away from the ferry and also the price for a room for two with private bathroom was very nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning. The shared kitchen is huge and well equipped.
Cons: Shower was making really scary and loud noises when using it. It was really uncomfortable because we came late and didn't want to wake up everyone in adjacent rooms.
Excellent 10,0
