10,0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at this beautiful hotel late in the evening, and were greeted by the incredibly charming Elisabeth. We were offered a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite, which was absolutely stunning! We were so impressed when we walked into the suite and saw how beautifully the room was decorated, with ambient lighting (and dimmers) that added to the charm. The tub in the bathroom was gorgeous, and salts were offered for a nice soak. The room was very clean and immaculately decorated. The restaurant was amazing, and offered such delicious wines. The staff were all so welcoming and hospitable, especially Elisabeth and the waitress working inside the restaurant (we regret not asking for her name). We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed there again on our way back up the coast, and of course dined at the restaurant again. We were offered a complimentary upgrade again which we were so grateful for, and we were treated like old friends by the staff who remembered us. They even gave us soy milk as they noticed we had left a jug of soy milk in the room, and the waitress remembered exactly which wines we had during our previous visit. Huge thank you to the wonderful team at Escape to Picton! We will definitely be back if we are in the area.
Cons: A small fridge in the room would be a nice addition, though we were definitely fine without it!

Pros: An amazing location, beautiful food. Everything was perfect.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Idyllic location, beautifully appointed cabins, friendly, laid back service.
Cons: No internet for a couple of days, though that is obviously a hazard of such a remote location. Menu is a bit limited if staying for more than a couple of days( and of course there’s nowhere else to eat.
7,9 Good
Pros: beautiful isolated location, very friendly staff
Cons: no internet access so no VoiP calling and no way to reliably be reached in emergency (and we had one). No jet skis etc, not enough kayaks or paddle boards, even with small number of guests, staff did not know names etc and while friendly it was not high service level for the price.
7,9 Good
Pros: The property & views were spectacular, the food exceptional, our room was beyond expectations. The owners seemed lovely, + we adore the resident cat !
Cons: It was our honeymoon and unfortunately raining on our second day. We asked for later checkout however this was not available, our water taxi was booked at 3.45pm so quite a wait from 10am to then, would've been quite fine if the weather was okay. Unfortunately we felt really awkward/like an inconvenience after checking out as the only place we could go was the sitting area. We weren't asked if we wanted to dine for lunch, no one really checked on us at all actually. We had a massage 2ish luckily which took up the last little bit of time, but in all honesty I would've expected a little more care from such a fine establishment. We felt like an afterthought. My review would've been much higher if not for this aspect of our stay, we just didn't feel like the service was there.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, well appointed units and great facilities. The staff are fabulous.
Cons: The rain! But couldn’t really be fixed.

Pros: Stunning location, rooms spotlessly clean with nice personal touches. Lovely helpful staff, good food and wine. Nice walks locally - some quite strenuous, but worth it. Wildlife and boaties coming and going, captivating...
Cons: Nothing really, our room was beginning to look a little tired, but that’s a really minor thing. The place is gorgeous

Pros: All ok, got a much better room etc, but there was garbage in kitchen not collected and it seemed its there for many days, other than arrangement of me traveling with another person and loosing my cash $1500 believe pinched either in room or ship when lying on couch Wellington to picton, in reserved luxury lounge etc and only dignified people there about 14 of them.
Cons: The garbage left like that, and arrangement matter, or suggestions on arrival for cash safe keeping by management

Pros: Perfect for an overnight stop & the recommendation of Whalers Restaurant at the nearby hotel proved to by excellent choice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Appreciated being able to leave our car there while we went to Wellington. Very helpful staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall,we were very happy during our stay here, we were tired after the ferry and got upgraded to a really nice "bigger"deluxe king room (with spa bath)..great little balcony even if it was very cold outside. Nice and big with couch, TV, seperate bedroom and nice clean bathroom. Some views but best was def the deep spa bath!..thank you!great location and close to all amenities:))
Cons: A bit noisy next to the railway, my husband woke up really early in the morning as a truck driver started his truck outside (he was staying at the motel)..it was making quite some noise and he couldnt fall asleep after that..:(I slept through the whole thing though..staff said grocery store was closed but as we went past it it was still open, a bit surprised they didn't know such local knowledge and it nearly made us miss going in there to get some last minute add ons like a toothpaste we forgot to pack:)..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the Ferry and restaurants.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location, Facilities n helpful staff!!
Cons: Size of the rooms !!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, central with supermarket across the road and easy stroll to other shops and restaurants. Close to the ferry terminal. Rooms not big but comfortable, very clean and well laid out. Staff extremely helpful. Motel had discounts with some restaurants - had a great night at Seamus’s Irish Pub. Would certainly stay again
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We were lucky enough to get the best room at the motel (number 19, top floor with panoramic views and a spa bath)! The motel is what one would expect from a good motel - not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination, but practical, nicer than other motels in Picton and you definitely get what you pay for, and I'd stay here again. Good service, good location (less than a five-minute walk to the shorefront and about 1 minute away from the supermarket), large-ish room. I appreciated the heater in the bathroom.
Cons: Bear in mind that there are no cooking facilities in the room apart from a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. Daily servicing of the room does not include vacuuming. Also, the room was quite noisy. Everything else was fine!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in Piction and very spacious room!

Pros: Stayed for 7 nights and found the unit very comfortable and well equipped. Great location. It would have been good to have the sheets changed once during the week.
Cons: Nothing
6,7 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: Requiring my credit card details although I already paid. This was in case I dined at their restaurant and skipped without paying or had a party and trashed the room. Wouldn't use this establishment again for that reason.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and handy excellent meal in the restaurant
Cons: Would have been nice if a toaster was provided as we had to get a early ferry
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was really appreciated that we were able to get our room a bit early, as it was ready, instead of waiting for two more hours after a long bus journey. The staff were pleasant, the outdoor seating gave a great view of the ferries, and I really appreciated that there was a personal fan in the room that I could use.
Cons: Could not fault anything.

Pros: Location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, good sized room, excellent location, very hand for boat trips on Charlotte Sound
Cons: No particular dislikes
4,2 Okay
Pros: Excellent Location but that is all it had going for it!!!!
Cons: Carpets need replaced inside the room and the Corridors Door had tape on the inside covering up what appeared to be a large split. Everything in the room is outdated and in a bad state of repair. No wine glasses.
7,5 Good
Pros: Views were second to none
Cons: Room difficult to get to - had to literally lug heavy bags up and down flights of stairs. Cleanliness of room not 100%. No utensils in kitchen at all!
4,2 Okay
Cons: The mattress was appalling you could feel the individual springs
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptional. Ate in the dining room and enjoyed the meal. Room perfect for our needs
Cons: Only problem was phone did not work
7,5 Good
Cons: First floor corridor could do with a refurbishment no very inviting
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Check in was quick and easy, location was very prime being close enough to the marina and township (stores, restaurants, etc), clean and comfortable room, friendly staff members
Cons: Access to rooms after checking in at reception required walking up/down stairs; elevator access to rooms required walking outside, around the corner and return back inside via a separate door, small carpark
4,2 Okay
Cons: Pre authorized credit card inprint of $50 taken out of our account even though accommadation already paid for.not credited back until emailed 2 days later.fire alarm went and after false alarm told could go back to room.no staff around to see if all customers okay
4,3 Okay
Pros: Very disappointed in our room Broken basin, just not up to Mecure standard. Know they have better rooms as have stayed before.
Cons: The room.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The location...is was close to everything
Cons: We did not get told or agree to $50.00 being taken from our bank account (we have still not received that money back yet). We were not happy with this and think that we should have been informed, we recommend definitely telling your reception staff to inform customers of this as it put a dampener on our experience at your hotel. However we do understand that money needs to be held for incidentals, but think there should be a clearer understanding.
7,7 Good
Pros: Staff were considerate and thoughtful, giving us a free complementary up upgrade. The film channel was also good. I liked not having to walk through the hotel to leave or arrive - we were able to come and go as we pleased.
Cons: Not applicable
6,0 Good
Pros: How close it is to the shops and other venues that we needed to get to.
Cons: The sound of the metal stair access outside is a bit noisy. The balcony sliding door didn't have a lock.
6,7 Good
Pros: Hotel Restaurant offers magnificent food.
Cons: The lift is only available 5 stairs down which is uncomfortable, and is at the bottom of the passage far from the Reception. A room with a bath is something which I missed.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location and cheap room rate. Room was clean and staff were good.
Cons: The hotel definitely needs the upgrade its getting. Last night I couldnt get back in the main door, luckily the side door was open.I would recommend the hotel after the upgrade.
6,6 Good
Pros: i liked the convenience of location, new decor room 313, minor incident handled professionally by staff. able to leave bag for short time after check-out instead of dragging it around picton shops whilst waiting for the return train.
Cons: having to get on my hands and knees on the floor and plug the kettle in whilst leaving the kettle sitting on the new carpet as the power outlet behind the bar fridge was unaccessable and the cord too short.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Proximity to town and ease to find.
Cons: At no time were we notified of the on-going Construction/Rennovation to the Hotel until we were unpacked in room. Room was cold (not prepared for guests), noisey rubbish truck outside. Upon inspection, noted it was a crane withing 30 metres from the room working on the property - after putting up with it for 20 minutes we enquired from Reception with regard to when it would stop. Told at 7.00 pm restarting at 8.00 am in morning. Raining heavily when arrived were unable to really look at exterior or be aware of the noise levels. Unfortunately no compensation of any sort was suggested and the Jack Hammer starting at 7.45 am the follwing morning was the end. Not good value for money at all!!!!!
5,6 Okay
Pros: I arrived late,so I felt a bit out and there was no bar open so I went to bed 10pm
Cons: No cooked breakfast and the continental was meager and overpriced
6,0 Good
Pros: The round bed
Cons: No information about breakfast in the hotel info. No cooked breakfast available.
