Pros: Garden, beach, entire resort is lovely. Relaxation advisers and very friendly host, dear Katherina and Haris. They provide us every help in all questions, equipment and good advices for getting around and also for the best restaurants. Thank you very much.
Cons: Hard to say. There were some μικροσκοπικά πράγματα don't worth to mention :)
Cons: EXCESSIVE NOISE FROM SATURDAY PARTY UNTIL LATE.
Pros: Katherine went out of her way to welcome and assist us. We arrived at midnight and she had left us dinner. When my husband was stung by a bee she provided various medicinal creams. We loved our apartment and its location
Pros: We visit Sitia every summer more or less on the same period. This was our first stay with Nereids even though we have wanted to stay over before but it 's been always sold out and this year I understand why! The location and the atmosphere is divine. The rooms are under the trees with unlimited grass around you and the beachfront on your toes! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable! Katerina & Argyris are more than great hosts and always happy to assist with anything. Will definitely visit again and this time will book as soon as possible.
Pros: appartement in lovely garden near Sitia with its own beach bar. The appartement is spacious and clean. The hosts are very welcoming.
Pros: Spacious, clean and comfortable apartment. Away from main drag but a short walk to all the eateries and shops. Owner, Catalina is very friendly and customer oriented.
Pros: Spacious, clean rooms with good facilities. Good location, a short walk to the main resort centre.

Pros: Great place to relax, the staff were very nice ,food was excellent
Cons: We did have an issue, but it was sorted quickly by the manager of the hotel I have to say this however,we have stayed in all grades of hotels and resorts ,and the same in restaurants, the hotel policy here is that you pay for water inc tap water in the restaurant, Now almost everywhere else you get a glass of water regardless of whether you want one or not,so a very strange policy,so beware......
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with an immense array of choice. The pool and area were pleasant. Some of the staff were very helpful but others spoilt our experience.
Cons: The rooms were NOT 5 star. There was nothing luxurious about them and our room smelled. We had requested a double bed and it hadn't been made up - 2 single beds. When my husband spoke to reception they told him that we had to request this - we had! Went out for a walk while they were going to sort this but still not done when returned so we had to sit around waiting for our room. The bath was so small that I couldn't fit in it! (By the way I'm not particularly large). We were so looking forward to the luxury of 5 star but we stayed in better places by far on our road trip around Crete for half the price so we were left extremely disappointed. Don't stay here. I also overheard a customer requesting a late check out - he was being charged for this even though he hadn't been able to use one of his rooms for 24 hours due to a problem with the lock on the door. Where is the customer service here? Unbelievable - he did go to meet with the manager but I don't know the outcome!! Out of the 11 places we stayed, this was the most expensive and our worst experience.
Pros: (1) The breakfast was good - fresh food, lots of options, some variation from day to day. (2) The staff was super pleasant and helpful - I'd like to mention Roula at the reception especially, as she was super nice and helped us a lot with some local recommendations. (3) The rooms were basic but spacious and very clean. (4) the resort is located right next to the beach, with beach towels provided and available seats and beach umbrellas. (5)The location itself is nice, Sitia is a lively little town , especially at night. It's pretty far from Crete center, but that is entirely on us as we did not realize what a drive it would be from Heraklion (approx 2 hours due mainly mountain roads). We found the roads to be in pretty good condition (despite what the locals told us to expect) though a bit tricky at times, and the view along the way was spectacular (when the sun was up, at least). Overall, it was a very good weekend!
Cons: Nothing in particular
Pros: Very hospitable and helpful
Cons: Some facilities closed as of end of the season (all on the game and understandable)
Pros: This hotel is just outside Sitia, only 5 minutes walking along the beach. Well renovated rooms, clean and comfortable. If you choose the fantastic sea view, you have the noise of the nearby road. The sandy beach is fabulous. We were outside of the holiday season, we could not rate the facilities which were closed. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast could be better. Noisy road next to the hotel.
In the centre of Sitia, family-run El Greco Hotel is situated within 300 metres from the Blue Flag beach. On the ground floor you will find a breakfast hall. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Each with a balcony with sea or town view, the pleasant rooms and studios are traditionally styled and decorated. They are all air conditioned and have a TV, fridge and hairdryer. Traditional taverns and local shops can be found within 50 metres. The El Greco is near free public parking for cars. The airport is just 1 km away and the port is at 600 metres.
Pros: Traditional hotel set in nice area, very friendly.
Pros: great location and comfortable beds
Cons: bathroom small and a little bit old
Pros: Lovely family run hotel nice room, adequate breakfast, Dimitri very friendly and helpful...nothing too much trouble.. would definitely stay again.
Pros: Comfortable beds, large room, clean and had a lovely view! Staff super friendly and welcoming! Location is simply ideal and was quiet at night. Room also had a TV and air conditioning. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Pros: Charming hosts, chatty and knowledgeable about the area with good tips on where to visit. The hotel is a short walk from the sea front, convenient for food & shops. The room was comfortable & well equipped with a view over buildings to the sea.
Pros: The gentleman at the front desk, the owner, is super friendly, and a genuinely nice guy. The hotel is in the historic area, so narrow streets and hair pulling frenzy to find, if you forgot to pack your GPS!! Forget easy parking--that being said, go downhill about a block?or2? make a left on a larger street just before the pedestrian zone and down a couple of blocks, you'll see a small street on your right, that will take you directly to the port parking. We luckily found parking there both days. We had a smallish, but efficient room, with fridge and a balcony, with a view of the sea. The shower is tiny with a curtain. If you can get around that hurdle this place is an excellent value for money. They even have a small elevator for your luggage. We found a great meal, good value and the best food at a place down the seaside further along, It was a pizza place - called Sitia Beach Pizza--don't be fooled by the name, because honestly, we had one of the BEST meals there that we've had in all of Crete. We had a Dakos salad, Grilled Dorado, which came with a small salad on plate and fries-crispy fries too, not soggy fries. The fish was fresh, grilled perfectly, excellent meal -finished off with a complimentary dessert and liquer. A great value, good service and a great meal -- better, waaaaay better than Zorbas!
Cons: Parking--but it's in the historic old town-so that problem comes with the territory.
Pros: Great view on Siteia Spacious and clean room Comfortable bed Nice and friendly staff and owners Location is great in the city center
Cons: Old building but well mentained. Poor facilities but compared to the price was very good.
Pros: Nice hosts. They helped me anything I needed. The hotel is ten minutes far from the bus station on foot and near to tavernas. Lovely view of the from the terrace of my room
When you stay at Elysee Hotel in Sitia, you'll be on the waterfront and 14 minutes by car from Richtis Gorge. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and ATM/banking services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: View from room was magnificent. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The mattresses
Pros: The fabulous view. The clean white linen The decent mattress & pillows
Cons: I didn't like the drab decore. The slim on the bottom of the shower curtain. The very small shower cubicle. The TV being to the left set in cupboard. The smell of the drain in the bathroom The toilet lid that couldn't open up properly because the toilet system didn't allow it too. The dreadful bed covers & blankets
Pros: The staff was very nice and when there was a dog in another room (not allowed) that was keeping me awake, they let me move to another room that was empty without even needing to check out of my current room. They apologized a lot the next day as the other people must have snuck the dog in.
Pros: The location, having a balcony, and breakfast being included. Staff gave good restaurant suggestions.
Cons: Appearance seems old, but was clean and convenient.
Pros: It was good. Enjoyed the breakfast very much.
Pros: The location is absolutely the best. Elysee is right in the center of Sitia in front of the sea. Close to the restaurants and 30 minutes by car to Vai Beach. Our room had the view on the seaside and we had the chance to admire a stunning sunrise from our balcony. The staff is kind and friendly.
With a stay at Petras Beach in Sitia, you'll be on the beach, and 9.1 mi (14.6 km) from Toplou Monastery and 13.4 mi (21.6 km) from Vai Palm Grove. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Impeccably clean! The cleanest place we stayed at on Crete. 2km of beach right across the street from the hotel. Vai beach 25 mins. Ierapetra 40 mins. Many many other beaches within 30 min drive. 15 min walk to Sitia, and Sitia is a beautiful little beach town to enjoy your evening or day. Do not hesitate to stay here, the place and location is excellent.
Cons: Everything was good.
Pros: A very sweet little b and b, only a few rooms. It was very clean and nicely situated on the sea front ( with a road in between). Breakfast was traditional...orange juice,.boiled egg, ham toasties, bread, jams, coffee , tea, cake. Simple but filling. Our room had a kettle but no cups and no hairdryer, our friends had no kettle but a hairdryer. Each room has a good size fridge and a tv. Cold drinks are available from reception, as well as tea and coffee. Lovely helpful staff, and a really comfy large bed. The bathrooms are modern and well presented, but ours had no shower curtain. The front rooms overlook the sea but have a not too noisy road, the back rooms have a rather dusty garden. WI-FI was fine.
Cons: A shower curtain. No toiletries apart from some soap. The terrace at the back of the hotel had a small table and chairs which could do with replacing. The room furniture was adequate but only 2 hangers and all rather tired. Quite a way from Sitia, you need a car.
Pros: Wonderful people, perfect location, and hospitality beyond expectations. Sifis and Rania are fantastic hosts. I woke up early and crossed the street to watch the sunrise on the beach. Peaceful, beautiful place.
Pros: Friendly staff and really comfortable bed. Had a semi-private patio to relax on. There is a really beautiful and quiet beach only across the road.
Cons: There was no shower curtain so having a shower was less relaxing as you were thinking about splashing everywhere. It was a little far out of Sitia.
Pros: great value for money, very clean
Cons: very friendly and helpful stuff
Pros: Sea was across the road.
Cons: Not as soundproof as we would have liked.
Pros: I like so much the position of the hotel, very close to the center of Sitia. The room was clean and the owner is very kind even if he doesn't speak English.
Cons: There wasn't a courtesy set in the bathroom
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provided a very good breakfast which was good value. The place is right in front of the sea and lovely and quiet. Just about 1.5km into Sitia for the evening, walkable but also easy free parking. The room was very comfortable with a shady terrace. Easy trip to Vai and also Zakros with a lovely canyon to walk.
When you stay at Itanos in Sitia, you'll be near the beach and 14 minutes by car from Richtis Gorge. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events.
Cons: Great beds, good breskfast, fantastic location
Cons: Out dated, bathroom was terrible.
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, right across the beach and next to all the restaurants. The breakfast was good, basic but there was some selection of products. Amazing roof top bar and a swimming pool.
Cons: The room had a balcony to some kind of backyard, the view wasn't pretty. The bathroom was small and the door wasn't easy to be closed
Pros: Excellent location. We were late in season but enjoyed the roof top swimming pool. Lovely views and relaxing sunbeds. Too bad rooftop bar had closed. It looked great. Hotel restaurant very good.
Cons: The hotel is aging but everything was fine.
Pros: Excellent location on the promenade. Free street parking found nearby. Excellent staff. Fun and helpful. Great buffet breakfast. Rooms were clean with fridge and kettle/coffee maker, with comfortable beds, poor soundproofing. Small balcony with a drying rack and enough room to sit. Roof top bar and pool (we didn’t use). Associated restaurant on the waterfront was good and reasonably priced. Close enough proximity to Zakros Gorge & Vai beach for a day trip. But found Vai beach was overrated and crowded even in October.
Cons: One complaint would be the showers (had two different rooms because decided to stay a second night). Shower head would not mount (because broken bracket) and had to hold it while showering in both rooms making it awkward with just a shower curtain keeping water out of the rest of the bathroom.
Pros: Fantastic buffet breakfast
Cons: Room rather small, crowded
Pros: Bar on terrace, pool, cleaning, the position
Cons: At check out the guy at the front desk was very nervous and didn't let us know anything
Pros: The position is very good, on the promenade and close to many bars and restaurants. Our room had a fantastic sea view.
Cons: The hotel is a bit démodé. The furniture and the room in general needed to be renewed, the bathroom was very small and the shower had an uncomfortable plastic curtain. The breakfast was not of such s good quality.
Cons: Everything about this hotel left a really bad impression apart from its location which was very convenient. Worst breakfast EVER, really bad quality of products, certainly not in accordance with the local produce, towels changed every second day, reception staff abrupt and unhelpful-asked for late check-out option and without even checking said that the hotel is fully booked, although room cleaning took place after 3 in the afternoon. The room was small and not like the one in the pics. Parking is not available. Toiletries not included, just a soap dispenser same as for hand wash. In general, this is not a three star hotel, but a low two star. Last year I stayed at a 2 star nearby hotel and I was by far more satisfied and I made the mistake booking this one thinking that it would be an upgrade, but I was not at all pleased.
With a stay at Hotel Sea Breeze in Sitia, you'll be 8.1 mi (13.1 km) from Toplou Monastery and 11.3 mi (18.2 km) from Richtis Gorge. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nothing in particular
Cons: Excellent facillities. We stayed in a room for 3 persons (on of which was a 2-year old child) and the room was like a small apartment. It was very clean and nice. We checked in and out in a couple of minutes. A great value for money. We will visit it again for sure.
Pros: The room was really big and the swimming pool was great
Cons: Difficult to reach without a car and at night there are no lights, so it can get dangerous
Pros: The rooms are clean, modern and spacious with a reasonable kitchen dining area and balcony. The rooms have plenty of towels and the beds are made daily. Wi-Fi works great. Pool is clean and not over chlorinated fresh water. You get a nice complimentary bottle of water and a small bottle of Raki. Overall We loved it.
Cons: Unless you love walking you will need a car to get to town. Apart from breakfast there is no food offered. You can however order food from restaurants in Sitia for delivery if you feel like an easy night. If you are a large person the shower could be a bit tight. You have a kettle hotplate and fridge but it would have been nice if tea, coffee and milk was available in the room as the breakfast area is cleared after 10am.
Pros: very clean, swimpool, friendly staff.
Pros: Very nice staff, good breakfast, big room
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room sizes were huge, for the price you pay. Aircon was good.. The apartment had all you need to cook a good meal. The swimming pool was lovely and an added bonus. We loved the hotel cat and kittens. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
When you stay at Nora Hotel in Sitia, you'll be near the beach and 15 minutes by car from Richtis Gorge. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect location. Only 5’ walking to the beach road where are the restaurants and coffee places. Easy to find a parking place and perfect view !
Cons: Towels may have dried out in the sun, which makes them too hard to wipe your face with. There is no mat on the floor to wipe your feet when you get out of the shower where there is no curtain and becomes an amusement park inside. The worst thing I could say is that the rooms are too small with result you can hear the other guest next door when they use the bathroom and the lady who when is cleaning the rooms sounds like She is crumbling the hotel which means you cannot sleep until she finish. No paper or ID asked in the reception which means anyone can do whatever they want!
Pros: Great value. Good service. Great value for money!!!
Cons: A bit dated but fine!
Pros: Great, friendly hotel.
Pros: Very friendly staff who let us check in early, and got up at 2a.m. to let us in the front door.
Cons: Our 2nd-floor room faced a fine view of Sitia harbor and mountains. However, cars, trucks and motorbikes passing all night were very loud and kept waking us up, plus a couple of dogs barking in the neighborhood.
Pros: Very reasonable, good location by the ferry port. Very friendly staff. Rooms small and outdated, but the extremely low price still makes it a good budget alternative. Would stay here again.
Cons: Better toiletries could have been provided. There was a large bottle of chocolate body wash left by the shower, couldn’t help think it was left by a previous hotel guest. Nothing else was provided.
Pros: Nice hotel near the center of Sitia. The host was friendly and from our room we can hear the sea and saw a beautiful sunset. Good experience.
Pros: The host, NORA, was a very sweet and hospitable lady. Rooms are basic, clean with comfortable beds. Location was great; only 10 min walk from the waterfront promenade and restaurants.
Cons: I would cattle to boil some hot water for tea and coffee.
