Pros: Majority of the stay 24 hour access to the springs
Cons: Toilets had a hard time flushing g
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, proximity to downtown, and having hot tubs on the property.
Cons: The transition strip in the bathroom was loose and I tripped over it.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The pools..
Cons: The room service pizza was ok..checkin with the computers was confusing..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness and comfort and 24hr access to pools
Cons: We were a little bummed that breakfast closed at 9 but that was our oversight
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with very nice grounds and atmosphere. Room was plenty big enough for what we needed for a one night stay. Very comfortable beds!! The main office was great also with a simple computer check in process. They had ice cream and popcorn!
Cons: No
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was extremely comfortable, staff was nice. Breakfast was horrible. Housekeeping broke my plastic wine cup n threw things away I dint want thrown away. All I needed was extra towels and it couldn't be accommodated without housekeeping coming in to clean up n remake beds even though we stayed 2 nights. Every time we stay here the price goes up by $20 or more. We couldn't even get more pool towels. Make sure u take a 24 pk of water that u can buy at the store for $3 cause each one of their bottles of water is $2 and do not plan on taking anything u have to microwave cause they dont have any microwave in any rooms. If u dont travel with a pet plan on staying in an upstairs room. Always call days ahead of time as well and make sure they can accommodate any special needs or requests and make sure your booking was right.
7,0 Good
Pros: Stunning grounds full of beautiful flowers. Wonderful healing hot mineral baths open 24 hours. Snacks including ice cream and hot drinks available in the lobby.
Cons: The check in was ridiculous. Though we tried to check in over a period of 3 hours, the staff repeatedly told us that their "system was down" and they put us off, sending us away, until we were finally allowed to check in late in the afternoon.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a great spot for a getaway weekend. Awesome property to just stay in and relax at. Having hot tubes and springs on spot with a curfew for kids makes it so worth it. We can walk to get food making it easier to enjoy some of the brewerys' drinks.
Cons: My only complaint is how relaxed I was. I could not stay awake due to a long night of work thus I didnt get my money's worth at all.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great views.
Cons: Sent kids for ice cream. $23 for 4 cups of ice cream. A bit overrated as they would not eat as they selected vanilla and was strawberry cheesecake flavor. Rooms are looking a bit worn.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Management was responsive to my need to cancel second night of stay due to a death in the family. Despite the circumstances, my stay was a positive experience.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is beautiful. Off the main street but convenient to restaurants and shops.
Cons: Parking was a little tight but not a game changer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and the rooms are clean BUT ...
Cons: The breakfast facility is way too small, very uncomfortable since too many tables are set up and you are lucky when you get a table. The hot springs are way too hot and you can't put more than your toes in the water. I will never stay in this place!!!

Cons: The carpet was was dirty.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hot tubs are built into canyon area. We were able to watch deer walk right by. Location is perfect for biking, hiking or simply walking.
Cons: Note: Bikes are not allowed in the room. THey have secure areas for your equipment. Breakfast was packaged pastries. The town is pricey on all meals (no food chains,or local grocery stores), so be prepared with your own snacks or ready to eat foods.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and hot tubs were nice
Cons: No hot water for showers
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and really enjoyed the hot springs! Maybe a continental breakfast would have been good. Ouray is a great place though! Loved Box Canyon hotel
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms, new soft robes to wear down to the hot tubs. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. Easy location to find with signs off main st. The hot springs are clearly the big selling point but their rooms are really nice lodge type rooms as well. We will definitely be visiting again!
Cons: Rooms need better soundproofing overlooking the hot tubs. Although this must be why they are only open until 10pm, for which we were grateful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hot springs were almost hidden away , not close to public or street .
Cons: Very basic rooms and hotel but was perfect for the price . Hot springs were very small pools made it awkward for people to join but there was 4 of them so rare for them to be full enough you would have to share .
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the private springs. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Overall it is a great place.
Cons: The rooms were smaller than average and overfilled with furniture. At this price I would expect a larger room and teaming up with a local restaurant for free breakfast would be a good idea.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We’ve stayed here many times. We’ll stay again. Hot tubs are hot.
Cons: Can be a little noisy, but after 10:00pm it usually quiets down.
10,0 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast buffet. Interesting period pieces and bits of local history.
Cons: Forgot that there wasn't a TV in room. Not a huge deal. There is a big TV in parlor. Really beautiful place.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely historic hotel in the heart of Ouray!
6,3 Good
Pros: The St. Elmo is a small, spectacularly well restored "old west" hotel. Beautiful wall coverings and furniture. It is located on the main street in Ouray, very near good restaurants and attractions such as the Box Canyon, vapor caves, and beautiful views. Breakfast was good, but not amazing - about the level of a good B&B.
Cons: We arrived around 6 , dropped our bags in the room, and immediately headed for dinner. By the time we had returned to the hotel, all staff had disappeared for the evening (which is reasonable in such a small hotel). At that point, we discovered that the room had not been cleaned since the previous guests. We made do, but it was kind of nasty. When I told the man at the desk in the morning, he immediately took me to confront the maid who does the rooms, which was awkward. Turns out that she had thought the previous guests were staying over, and she was apologetic. Unfortunately, the clerk was not apologetic at all, and seemed to think that this took care of everything. Although he had offered to "make good", I never heard an apology nor received consideration of any kind. For a "fancy" hotel, this seems quite subpar - perhaps it was just an unfortunate accident, but they should have at least taken responsibility. One other minor complaint: the materials for the hotel on booking.com refer to a sauna, which is one reason I selected the hotel, yet when we arrived there was none to be found. The materials should be updated.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location , unique decor
Cons: It was loud, we heard people in the restaurant connected to the hotel
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint accommodations. Have stayed there several times.

4,0 Okay
Pros: They had a room on a no-vacancy night in Ouray in peak aspen viewing season. Had been traveling on business and elected to stay in the mountain town for hot springs there, booking earlier that day. Important note: The remaining single-bed room was in a separate area of living quarters apart from the other rooms. I cannot speak to their quality. Shower/toilet facility seemed newly remodeled and were clean & functional.
Cons: Dirty carpet. Crudely built plywood bed box. Dangerous, unlit exterior stairway made of expanded metal. Access to room required walking down darkened sidewalk, through a gate & courtyard, up the stairs & up another steep stairway. Traipsing through personal quarters where the occupant was moving in and had stuff everywhere. Loud conversation, barking dog and ringing phones until 10:30 or later just outside my door. Hair dryer and radio sparked as I plugged them in. Both seemed to have faulty switches.
