View room, nice weather, fun great staff, good food
Evacuation of whole casino due to propane problem. Uncertain whether we would be able to return for our last night & personal items. Fortunately evacuation was only about 3 hours.
We stay every year for my birthday
View from room.
This facility is sadly getting run down. The bathroom is out dated and shabby. The water pressure was good and lots of hot water. The dining is not separated from the casino. So you smell smoke during your meal. There is no high end restaurant. Emily’s is as close as it gets. We scheduled a massage for my girlfriend and they miss booked it for the wrong day, much to her disappointment. She was not happy about that. We went to the coffee shop for a latte at 10 am and found it was closed. Another disappoint. In summary, food and amenities are so so. People are pretty nice and helpful. Location is convenient. For the price, it was all right. Over all, though, not somewhere we’re returning to.
Room was clean, and quiet. Loved the view.
That we had to walk through the smoking area to get to the lobby.
Won a little, but lost it back. Room was nice. Got to see the ocean, sun, wind, rain, hail and snow outside my window. Didn't make it to the beach due to flooding at the end of the boardwalk. Emily's had great food and loved the sunny morning view. Always like the fish and chips. One of the reasons I like going there, but VERY pricey. I just happened to get an OK price for my room (2 nights) but when I looked up other stay options after the dates that I stayed there, the price had been increased A LOT more.
I'm not a smoker and it smelled smoky from the minute you walked in. The smoking sections should really be reversed including no smoking in the lounge. I don't like eating in there with smoke all around me, especially when I order (2) $18.99 meals. My wife agrees (also a non-smoker). How can walking into a smoky atmosphere be good for business? You have a fitness area, pool, hot tub, spa and beach with fresh air, but have a smoky atmosphere? Not congruent. Also, the door at the end, down past the gift shop was locked due to winds. It needs to have a sturdy closing mechanism accessed only by a room/key card, especially when handicapped access is right outside that door. That would keep it from being damaged/left open during high winds. I have another 2 nights booked but I'm debating on whether I want to go back due to it being so smoky. Have you thought about extending the boardwalk past the flooded area? Don't know if this is possible but I saw a lot of people having a hard time accessing the beach. It would be a definite bonus to staying at the Q.
