Cons: Excellent facilities, great hosts and a really good breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Oh I loved it. The Englands were terrific; chatty, knowledgable, fans of Winnie the Pooh... there was a lovely sense of tradition as we were all encouraged to gather around the table in the morning for breakfast, meeting some characters from elsewhere in the world and swapping stories about our adventures (or in my case, car related misadventures!!). OH THE SHOWER. That magnificent shower. And the huge full Scottish breakfast. Yum.
Cons: Full Scottish breakfast was link sausage not square sausage... naughty naughty :p I need to spend more time here next time; a few more mornings of chat and some more local exploring. Next time guys!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The extraordinary high standard of hospitality. The comfort, facilities and hygiene standards were exceptional. We have never enjoyed such standards snd we are experienced travellers.

2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Beautiful old
Cons: Filthy shower curtain with pink mould about a foot wide up from the bottom, lots of maintenance required in the bathroom; facet handles missing, toilet flush button missing etc. We accept it is an old building but it’s lack of care and attention to detail. The shower curtain was replaced very quickly but was an indication of sloppy housekeeping.

Cons: Breakfast could be better. Most of the food was like from supermarket packages croissant, scones e.t.c even the blood pudding I suspect that was bought like that and reheated. Room was cold when we arrived with only one small electric radiator inside. Eventually it got warm at some point but this was after a couple of hours after we have checked in

5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, nice and hot with toast tea coffee and juice. Cereal and porridge also available. Quiet when we visited. Heater worked well in the room. . Staff were very welcoming on reception as was the lady who served us breakfast and checked us out. Location was very good on the main road. Lots or parking and free wifi. Dogs are free too.
Cons: Its an old hotel and in need of bringing up to date as the decor is very dated and tired as was the room and reception, corridors, dining room. Its adequate for a budget stay. The room was tired and a bit shabby. Cleanliness was just about passable. Lighting was a bit dim in the bedroom and bathroom. If there had been a Travelodge nearby i would have preferred to stay in that for a similar cost (but there isnt)

10,0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The open fire in the lounge was setting a perfect ambience. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is entertainment in the ballroom, which makes a great atmosphere where the guests can enjoy their company and not be sitting in a sterile place. The heating for the hotel is perfect as it was November and pretty cold outside. Food is excellent and all staff are very friendly and competent in their work. Having talked with other guests they revealed that they keep returning to this hotel as the standard is second to none, that speaks volumes!!!. This hotel is a must go to.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
7,0 Good
Pros: breakfast was excellent
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom was a good size, comfortable beds. Food was really good and freshly prepared to order. The night time entertainment was also very good. Made to feel very welcome by most of the staff.
Cons: Decor needs a slight freshen up. Being diabetic there was limited choice of juice for mixers, only Diet Coke, could do with some alternatives ie diet lemonade, 7up zero or Sprite Zero.
4,2 Okay
Cons: THought hotel was tired and staff were just functioning rather than interacting with the customer. Food presentation I found poor and typical of hotels that cater for tour coach parties, also being told where I had to sit rather than being asked were I would like to sit. Felt I was a child in trouble and being spoken down to.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel very comfortable. Dinner was well cooked.
Cons: Breakfast overcooked. Waiting staff unattentive had to find someone to ask for tea and coffee at breakfast then had to find again to ask for cups to drink it from.

Pros: The Silverfjord and it’s wonderful people made my stay in the mountains an effortless one :) Despite only booking a single room, the owner upgraded me to a double at no extra cost which made me feel all the more at home! The location is stunning and within touching distance of everything you would need, from a laundrette to a co-op to a lovely local cafe. It’s also situated right next to the train station with an easy 45 minute commute to the nearest city. My room was clean and warm and had plenty of storage space. There was a kettle and an abundance of coffee but no fridge, however the staff were more than happy to store my food in the fridge in the kitchen :) Wifi is good as long as you’re not on the top floor but there is a cosy lounge to sit in and mingle if you’re struggling with signal. Genuinely couldn’t fault my time here especially for the asking price:) Can’t wait for my next visit upon my return to the mountains!
Cons: Bathroom was a bit outdated
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location for Highland Wildlife Park.
Cons: Needs a bit of decorating and re-furbishing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the railway station and the main street. Co-op store open 06.00 -22.00 and 2 fish 'n' chip shops. Heating in the hotel was ferociousd - had to turn it off in my room! Full Scottish breakfast was worth the extra cost b4 another day's hillclimbing. Very friendly staff and hosts.
Cons: Nothing!
