I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times now. Each stay has been exceptional. the rooms are clean, modern but respectful of their time period. the indoor pool is warm. They could have a few more seats around the pool, but the spa area is clean and welcoming. The service was awesome, loved the phone contact prior to arrival offering assistance with the stay, reservations etc. The food was delicious with great presentation and comfortable dining spaces. the location is perfect, walkable to sights, restaurants, and shopping.
The staff were the friendliest, most obliging and welcoming we have encountered in the US - and the hotel was absolutely charming, food was simply amazing, location perfect and the service impeccable - we stayed an extra night and only wish we had longer. Get a suite if you can and your stay will be perfect! Thanks everyone at the Vanderbilt
Nothing to not like
Location, appearance, people, food, drink and pool. Great place.
Room was smaller than I expected although it could just have been the shape of the room. We went up to the rooftop cocktail bar on our first night but waited 15 minutes to get served without success. Bar staff still managed to serve people who hadn’t been waiting so we assumed they may have been regulars.
Bed was wonderful. I liked the check in greeting
There was not ‘nightly’ afternoon ‘canapés/drinks. For the price, I think there should’ve been, as well as inconsistent items in room, like waters, turn down, cream for coffee, some of the toiletries
Primarily the staff. From checking in and out to valets and restaurant staff, everyone was attentive and friendly. The building is beautiful with great sitting rooms, an outdoor patio for meals and an amazing rooftop deck with incredible views of the harbor. Our room was lovely with all the details addressed like robes and slippers, coffee maker and refrigerator, and comfy beds. We loved the location which was a block off the main street so perfect for walking everywhere.
Nothing was lacking.
