My stay was good, the staff was helpful. It is in a great location in Newport. The one thing I would love would be a refresh of the decor. While I understand the decor was going for a classic, New England feel, I feel it could have been executed better and in a more fresh way. Would help to brighten and freshen things up.

Pros (+) The Inn was a great value. It is in the heart of downtown, right on the Main Street. You have access to the waterfront, shopping, restraraunts and bars. The city itself is just quaint. Pros (+) The daily breakfast is a very nice spread and the hotel is right in the middle of an area with tons of restaurants, shops and bars which was awesome. They also have a nice roof deck of you want to get away from the crowds for a bit. For the price, I think this was a very good deal.
Cons (-) We're used to staying in hotels instead of inns, so the stairs were a bit of a surprise. Also, it would have been nice if we could have opened the windows as there was such a beautiful breeze, however the ac unit did work very well.

Pros (+) The location of this hotel was fantastic. We could walk to restaurants. The visitors center was close so that you could get both the local bus and the siggtseeing ones. The room was large and comfortable (refrigerator in room). Daily breakfast and afternoon tea were great - many choices.
