Pros (+) My first concerns for any hotel stay is the hotel safe and is it clean. The Carnegie earned top grades in both these areas. Very clean and great location. I walked to the Metropolitan Opera House in the evening and was quite safe. A 10.00 ride home (10 including tip!) was how I returned to the hotel but I almost walked....too tired. Also a short walk to the MOMA........Staff was genuinely friendly...

Pros (+) All amenities were perfect and the service was even better. There was a complimentary wine and cheese hour, as well as continental breakfast!!!
Cons (-) The room was a bit tight. The hotel did not have common facilities besides the lounge / continental breakfast area.

Pros (+) The small hotel's clever, compact design features are ingenius. There is no wasted space, yet it is most comfortable, quiet, clean and attractive. Complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese bar in the the afternoons are nice touches.
