Pros: This B&B is across the street from the beach, not sure about access but is very nice to see. Our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and tasty with omelets, pastry, cereal. yogurt, fruit. The proprietor was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Cash euros was required payment, don't like to carry around so much cash to pay these establishments.

Cons: We liked everything.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location just nearby the beautiful beach. Nice garden and swimming pool.
Cons: Water in swimming pool is salty.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment owner was very welcoming and helpful in providing storage for our cycles and for giving directions to local facilities. This included a bustling pizzeria, serving the local population, which was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: Some distance from the centre of Anzio, though the town as a whole did not appeal to us very much from our cycle through.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, across the street from the beach. This area seemed to be where locals go to holiday, with few foreign tourists. It was also close to the train station.
Cons: As I mentioned, it was close to the train station, but it wasn't clear which one, so we got off one station passed where we should have--long walk and we never saw one taxi in this area. Also, the hotel only accepted cash in payment and the closest ATM was in Anzio, two train stops away. Most of the local businesses also only accepted cash. This isn't a problem, if you realize that in advance, it is when you rely mainly on credit cards when you travel. Also, you might need to use a translator ap as the owner/manager's English was very basic.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely owners and cute little rooms. Perfect for the beach.
Cons: Little far from the main town, though we had a car so was OK.

7,5 Good
Pros: A bit pricey for what you get. Room and bathroom is dated and mouldy smell. The breakfast is not great compared to options around town. Otherwise is a comfortable stay and a good location by the sea
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location is fine. Staff was polite and responsive.
Cons: We took deluxe room but it have nothing in common with the photo on booking.com: it's smaller, darker, have no fabric covering on the floor, have only one dirty chair. We pointed out such inconsistency to the staff and they told us that there is only one room of this kind at the hotel, which was already occupied. About cleanness: dust on night stands, used soap found in the shower tube, bad smell in the bathroom. Unusable internet connection: I was unable to load any web site on my laptop. Poor sounds proofing: I heard conversations and snore from the next room. Poor facilities: no place to put the soap and shampoo at the shower, bad pillows.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to the Marina - ideal for those picking up yacht charters . Super helpful staff - warm welcome at Reception , housekeeping and breakfast . They went above and beyond in assisting us with our rather ample baggage and storage and provided knowledgeable dining options . Would heartily recommend !
Cons: Had to think hard what we didn’t like and all we could come up with is the Elevator .... tiny !
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Location stay away they will put you in rooms that are sub par get big money and accuse you of damage. Unless you are Italian you will have a big problem.
Cons: Nothing worked ac wifi safe tv No chairs on veranda staff management Roberta totally unprofessional because I asked fo free room she said I damanged bathroom door with water but when I insisted for her to go to 209 and check refused, she refused twice. Discrimination at check out no offer of opening door to pass easy with suitcase but as I waited for my collegiate both Roberta and desk clerk helped twi Italian woman my age. They did not help the American. I want a full refund please
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location of the hotel. Very central so it is walking distance to everything in the city. The staff was excellent! They were very accommodating and assisted us with all the questions we had, at any time of the hour. Special thank you to Jacqueline and Danielle (sorry if I mispronounced your names). Overall the stay was amazing and will definitely come back there again.
Cons: There is no taxi in the city at all. Thankfully it is 5 min walk from the train station. So if you want to go anywhere else, be sure to book the car rental in advance as they are limited.
7,5 Good
Pros: Central, in-town location
Cons: I booked a single room and the air conditioner was not working. I also booked a room for two with double king sized beds but got a room with only one king sized bed. The concierge also told us we could not park on the street which runs parallel to the hotel but that was not so. We gave up our space after paying €11,00 and parked in a lot for which we had to pay €15,00. I have stayed at the Astura many times but not with these problems.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location:)
Cons: Broken air conditioning in all three rooms, broken glasses on the floor, ant (just one)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We loved thebal
Cons: We loved having balcony out to sea front There was so many good restaurants near hotel Staff were helpful and friendly
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location was ok.
Cons: Ocean view, but the balcony obscured views as too high and made of solid concrete, no railing. Hotel in need of a make over as quite dated.

Pros: Friendly staff ,
Cons: Not applicable
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, helpful staff; clean rooms; close to beach.
Cons: A bit further out of town than we realised. Better if you had a car (we didn't) - but then, that was our choice. Can't fault the hotel for that.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: quality of breakfast
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice
Cons: Expensive)
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: This hotel was probably one of the worst we have stayed in many years. Staff were unfriendly, beach was shocking, too far away from town centre, wifi was non existent and no hot water. We were booked in for 3 nights, stayed 1 and promptly left. Never never stay here!!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful. 2min walk to the beach across the road. Clean
Cons: Could have done with a kettle in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I travelled with a group of 6 and everybody's room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. Great location next to the beach. Beautiful views. A nice parking area. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I come back to Anzio.
Cons: There was noting to dislike.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our comfortable room was across the road from the beach which looked like it might be possible to walk for miles however, we arrived on a wet day for just one night. The bed and particularly the pillows were very comfortable, The room had a small balcony and we were able to sleep with the window open. Breakfast was fine, not special but overall a good hotel. Restaurants are a five minute drive away and the hotel will make recommendations.
Alba Chiara - Anzio - Building

8,7 Excellent (77 reviews)
R1 010+
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: large rooms
Cons: We stayed there one night. Checked in and went out. When came back around midnight, there were 2 aggressive but small dogs released in the yard that would not let us enter the house and the owners were away. We called they did not answer, after texting and waiting for 45 minutes, the owner sent his very angry son over to take the dogs away. There were no apologies. The person who came to take the dogs away pretended that we told them the keys don't work, so he started explaining in Italian how to use a key! When we said about the dogs again, he just said "Piccolo" which means small in Italian and went to his room upstairs and slammed the door. Very rude owner. Air conditioning was a small fan which did not help. little variety for breakfast. 1 espresso capsule per person. Owners do not speak English. Pool can be used at limited hours for 10 Euros extra per person. Many better options in the region.
5,4 Okay
Pros: it was clean
Cons: we picked the Alba Chaira because of the description of the property and the fact it had a pool and secure parking. When we arrived we were told to leave our car outside of the property on a shared entrance with next door . we couldn't go into the property to turn round and had to back out on to a busy main rd , which was quite nerve racking. The accommodation was very dark but it was very clean.our room also had the smallest shower i have ever seen. The pictures of the property show the lovely pool and pool area and the description clearly states that Guests can use the pool but this is not the case. my wife and i went in the pool for a swim, the owner of the B&B came and stared at us ,i said hello and he ignored me twice. He then phoned his wife who came and told us we were not allowed in the pool, she said it was to deep, how ridiculous. When i told her that the only reason we booked it was because of the pool and it is advertised as having a pool she got annoyed and said that OK stay in the pool then. The attitude of the owners made us feel very uncomfortable and ruined the last part of our holiday. It says that there are garden views but the view from the window is of concrete and a Builders merchant next door,. You also get woken up early by the noise from the builders merchant. There is a kitchen in between the 2 guest rooms but there is a sign that says you are strictly not allowed to use it. There is also a sign stating you are strictly not allowed to use the pool or the pool area, so be warned. The owners made us feel that we were intruding in their home, I would not recommend any one to stay there
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Barbara, was extremely welcoming & the location/room/facilities were all great. Perfect location for visiting the Museums. Within walking distance the local fish restaurant, Tutto Pesce, lovely atmosphere & excellent food.
Cons: Not applicable - everything was great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It looks like a brand new property - a 2 suite B&B on the ground floor of the owner's home. Lovely. As clean as can be. Our suite was private and spacious. We were the only guests that night, so we had sole use of the shared kitchen/eating area. There is secure parking behind a large gate. Sadly, our visit in mid May was before the lovely pool was filled and operable. That would be a big bonus. It's an easy drive to get to downtown Anzio with the harbour and seafood restaurants. If you wanted to take a bus into Rome (which we didn't), I'm guessing it would be about a 45 minute trip.
Cons: The address wasn't found by our GPS, but after calling, the hosts stood by the road to wave us in. Turns out we were very close. No big deal. Just saying.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great place for access to get to Rome and surrounding areas if you need.
Cons: It is a long way out of town. A car is a must.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious
Cons: Only italian speaker
Alice B&B - Anzio
8
8,9 Excellent (21 reviews)
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were comfortable and very nice. The staff was very kind and spoke English well. He even had his son take us to the train station at 4:30 am so we could make our train back to Rome.
Cons: It was difficult to get to from the train. I had believed that it was in the center of town and would be easy to reach from the train. Everyone we asked for directions said "taxi, machine" meaning we needed to get a car. Luckily, people there are very nice and a lady gave us a ride. The address printed was also wrong. The street is just off of the street that is listed. There is a sign with an arrow, but it took a little time to find.
Casa Vacanze Elianto - Anzio - Bedroom
9
8,3 Excellent (170 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Casa Vacanze Elianto was built in the 1950s on order of Farouk of Egypt. The property is located on the Lazio Coast, 3 km from Anzio Train Station, with links to Rome. It offers rooms and self-catering apartments, some with views of the sea. This impressive building of 4 floors was completely refurbished in year 2000. The apartments are complete with kitchenette. The Elianto Casa Vacanze is near tennis, five-a-side football courts, and swimming pools. Restaurants and shops are also available in the area.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice staff. The location is great, because it is directly at the beach. The atmosphere has a certain flair but the last renovation has been sometime ago.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. We had a room with a large shared balcony and spent a lot of time sunbathing in that area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to check in and park.
Cons: We didn’t realize that we had to pay to use the beach right in front of the place but there was a public beach area not too far.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: good place, good sandy beach
Cons: it can be cheaper
7,5 Good
Pros: Loved the location! Unbeatable! Appropriately friendly staff Comfortable clean room
Cons: No accommodation flexibility on check in or check out times. Our water heater didn’t work so we had to take freezing showers or none at all, and no staff on site to switch to a different room with heated water.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is PERFECT for beach vacation. There is not much else to do than swimming, but that what exactly what we wanted. The place is really beautiful self-service rental. Sand in the beach is soft and water cool. Anzio is quite windy so there might be quite huge waves sometimes which was fun for us! There is market and restaurant near by. Pizza and gelato was good in that restaurant, but we cooked mostly ourself. Kitchen is OK and if you are a good cook you can manage.
Cons: No international TV channels. WiFi would be nice (in rooms).
7,5 Good
Pros: Wonderful location directly above the beach. We stayed in the Camelia apartment that had access to a big shared terrace with view towards the ocean. The exterior of the house is very nice and not just a big square house with apartments. It’s more like a big villa with small sets of steps leading to the different apartments and there are plants and flowers everywhere that makes it very cosy.
Cons: Run-down apartments that would need renovation. The same goes for the neughborhood in general and the facilities (restaurants, bars) along the beach. We, however, stayed here during low season in November. The area is probably more attractive in the summer.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The sea.
Cons: Our apartment was really awful. It was next to reception so it was noisy all the time. The bathroom is so old that needs immediate renovation. There was no hot/warm water after one minute, so washing the hair was a cold disaster. TV did not work at all. The room was very old and smelled terrible. We had to clean the room and remove garbage ourselves, there was not even paid cleaning service. The facilities are all very old and shabby, the lift to the beach did not work, we had to climb hundred stairs every day. To find this apartment was almost impossible, no signs, no shattle bus from the train station. I would never ever stay there again!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: stunning views
Cons: Weather
7,5 Good
Pros: The accommodation was all set for 2 people (although there was a additional single bed), the kitchen had everything you need to cook a small meal. We had a balcony although not private. Ample parking space during off-season. Personnel was friendly and helpful but none spoke English.
Cons: The apartment is rather dark (not enough lights). Except for the cooker lights, the kitchen had no light at all, therefore not light enough for cooking, washing up. The building is not suitable at all for people with mobility problems (TOOOOO many stairs!!), the place seems to attract big groups of young people who do not care about other guests. there is a lift to go to the beach but it was not working (maybe because we where there in April). The place is close to Anzio (several good fish restaurants with decent price). The beach needed a clean up (probably not an issue during high season).

Pros: Small, lovely and down to earth B&B where you share the house with your hosts. Our room had a nice and big balcony with a beautiful view. The breakfast was fine - you make it yourself including washing the dishes afterwards. Our host, Massimo, drove us to both Anzio and the train station which was really nice and easy. And he helped us planning our trip to the island Ponza.
Cons: The area is very local and quiet and there is not much to do besides going to the beach. Only a few speak a little english and ordering food, coffee, ice is a bit challenging.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A clean, fresh and modern building! The hosts were very friendly and could english well!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our room was beautiful. Very clean and bright! Loved the balcony! Our hosts were wonderful...Massimo even picked us up at the train station and arranged for us to be dropped off when we left!
Cons: It wasn't as close to the beach as we had expected. And we're beach people, so that was important to us. Not super easy to get around since there are few taxis and It's too far to walk to most places.

5,4 Okay
Pros: Location was very good. Check in went smoothly.
Cons: The mattress was smaller than the bed so I hit my knee during the night. The towels were of kitchen towel quality. The standard was way too low for 90 €.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is good. Public transport available near destination and you can see beach view.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Place is great. It is in the middle of the "old town" with lots of nice venues around. Not that far from municipal beach and train/bus stations as well. Staff is friendly though most of them don't speak English. Balcony opens to a lovely square full of life every evening. People around are great - trying to help you all the time.
Cons: Be careful booking this hotel if your arrive later than 8pm. When booked, I missed that check in is only till 8pm and we was charged extra 30 euro. It may sound noisy from the street if you want to sleep with open windows - was an issue for us, consider on your own.

Pros: All rooms have sea view, the check in and check out was fast. We had no problems. Good location (the beach is right in front of the hotel, you can hear the sea when you go to sleep)
Cons: The hotel was not renovated recently and would need a renovation.(the place is clean, but it would need new furniture)

Pros: Food very good, never got exactly what we asked for but still happy as everything was homemade and tasted delicious. Right on a Sandy beach, balcony with sea view as promised. Originally booked one night but still here our 3rd night.Wi Fi best we had in any hotel. If you are looking for a nice clean comfortable inexpensive hotel near Anzeo or Rome (€3.60 to Rome by train) this is for you.

Pros: I guess the only nice things about the place are the friendly staff and the cost of the room. Very tasty freshly brewed coffee for breakfast.
Cons: In reality the hotel is much older than it looks on the photos, with no renovation for at least the last decade. There is not even a free socket in the room to charge your phone...really happy we stayed for just one night. Would not recommend for a longer stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious, view
Cons: Long walk from train station; we were told that youcan’t get a taxi there to go back to town. Also difficult to take bus there.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room, seaside position, view of sea, air-conditioning
Cons: No seif in the room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with a view; quiet; gorgeous beach. Great breakfast!
Cons: No good public transportation or taxi to get to or from property. You would need your own car or be able to walk quite a distance.

Pros: Very friendly service by the two main managers
Cons: There is not sufficient parking place for the visitors and outside the hotel it is almost impossible to find a place in the weekends in the high tourist season.

7,9 Good
Pros: Hotel has its atmosphere, even though it is not the new one, you can feel the Italian spirit very well :) Bed was comfortable, everything I needed was there. We arrived late night and hungry and regardless of the fact kitchen was closed, receptionist found some cookies for us to eat, that was really helpful. Breakfast was good enough for 3star hotel. I liked the beach across the street, if you wake up early, you can enjoy swimming alone :)
Cons: If you do not have car, this hotel wont suit you.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect for what I was looking for. Everything was so clean and I have enough towels. The stuff had a great attention to detail, when I entered the room, the air conditioning was on; so the temperature was optimal, considering that there was a heat wave in the zone. Also, there was a bootle of water On the chest next to the bed :) The location was optimal as the beach was in front of the hotel. I would definitely 100% recommend this place and return back. Thanks!
7,1 Good
Pros: Room was lovely and very clean. Sea view amazing. Lovely pool area.
Cons: There was a smell of gas around the pool area. Despite reporting it, nothing was done to remedy it.
4,2 Okay
Pros: very close to the beach and train station
Cons: The room looked very old and with not a nice smell and I don't think it matches with 90 EUR/night. Breakfast was very poor in choices. "We speak your language" it's just a phrase as no one is speaking English
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location about a mile's stroll into bustling little anzio...superb beach opposite and so close to train station which takes you into nettuno to visit american war cemetry..not to be missed..only 10 minutes on the train for just over a euro each way....so much war history to this area...up through the back streets about a mile and a half walk away you'll find the beach head cemetry..where soldiers from commonwealth are laid to rest. We had a lovely time here..and just a couple minute's walk away is mangio pizza..delicious, cheap and take away. You can eat at hotel for 20 euros a head for 3 course meal..but we were out and about in evenings...the staff were so friendly and we loved the whole retro feel of the hotel...breakfast plentiful..cereals, egss, meats, fruits, and array of croissants and pastries...
Cons: we liked everything

Pros: My room was very large with a huge King sized bed !!! The dining was excellent
Cons: The signs about bringing in outside food I realize there are busloads of people so maybe they bring in food but for the normal travel basic water and fruit should be ok. I don’t like to see negative signs when I just arrive!!! The hotel was a long way from town!!!

Cons: Needs to be renovated, is a bit dated

6,3 Good
Pros: Garden & space....
Cons: The quietly!!
7,1 Good
Cons: We felt the matresses of the double and bunk beds were a bit uncomfortable...just a bit too hard for our liking. We were also disappointed with the lack of a lift...carrying suitcases of luggage up and down stairs is not ideal. Finally it was out firm opinion that the decor both inside and out needs investment to be more modern and appealing from its tired and dated image.
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff smiling and helpful in the morning
Cons: The mattress too slim
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous facilities and quiet location.
Cons: Cost of food (bar snacks by pool) a rip off.

4,2 Okay
Cons: The Hotel is old and dated. Few facilities. Photos are somewhat deceiving and pricing is high.
6,7 Good
Pros: We checked out on this first morning after staying 1 night. The hotel is at the bottom of private flats and we was woke at 8am by drilling and banging. I must state the staff was very helpful but we was charged for 2 days even though we only slept there one night, we didnt even have the morning breakfast.
Cons: We had no kettle to make drinks, only supplied 1 toilet roll, and was woke by drilling and banging our first morning, we checked out that afternoon after finding another place up the road. Not happy. We was charged for 2 days of stay, yet we hadnt even been there 24 hours.
