Fantasy, myth like theme. Sunken ruins of Atlantis. Aquarium features with local fish. Luxury. Conservation ethic., Courtesy and friendliness of staff.
Prices of restaurants,
If the price is ignored, it is still a decent resort. Aquaventure is fun, the buildings look awesome, and the beaches are comfortable. We had a good time overall.
For a luxury resort, many things could be improved. The room is nothing special and looks old. There isn't a microwave owen in the room for us to rehead the leftovers, and we had to spend $8 to call the service to do it. The check-in time is pretty late (4pm). We decided to go to Aquaventure in our first afternoon there, and we had to deposit our luggages and change our clothes in the public restroom.
Staff was phenomenal. Clean and good value.
Waiting 2 hours in lobby to check in.
The property is old and dingy , we had 3 big roaches in our room, my nightstand was tilted down in front so couldn’t put anything on it. Will not go back to this property.
Very beautiful place, lots of space to lay around and relax (especially in the low season). Lots of options for food, more unhealthy options than healthy options. Water vouchers given upon check in, which saw us through our 4 night stay. There were also plenty of water refill fountains around the pools and other locations throughout the hotel.
Very expensive! For a Whiskey and coke it cost $25 AUD. They do mention that they hold the marine animals for conservation and rehabilitation purposes... how true this is I’m not sure. I am against holding any animal for reasons other than rehabilitation & conservation. Obviously if they’re unable to be released to do injury or other circumstances that prevent them from surviving in the wild that’s fine. Seeing they had a “touching” and “feeling” pool was very disappointing. Some of the habitats for the marine animals, such as the hammerheads were way too small.
The Royal at Atlantis is the icon of Atlantis featuring the awe-inspiring mythology of the Lost City of Atlantis risen from the sea. From the artwork to the experiences, a stay at The Royal is larger than life, with intimate proximity to the world’s largest open air marine habitat situated at its center and the famed Atlantis casino by its side.
