10,0 Excellent
Pros: Appreciated the shuttle bus to Narita Airport. Good breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great. It was much better than expected and better than big airport hotel we later stayed at. Very close to train station. The weather was turning warm and the comforter is much too warm. They need a lighter blanket. I was able to visit Tokyo Richmond which had shops and located in a great area.
Cons: Nice restaurant and very close to parks and train stations.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We have decent breakfast in the hotel.
Cons: Nothing.
6,3 Good
Pros: free shuttle bus to Narita Airport
Cons: The room was quite small for two people with large luggage. The breakfast was not worth it, as the food in the Sakura Lounge was way better.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: I only spent one night on my way elsewhere, and the location couldn’t be beat. It was about a 4 minute walk from Narita Station, which is only one stop from terminals 2 & 3. Great location for a weary traveler who couldn’t be bothered going all the way into Tokyo. The hotel was clean and modern.

Wakamatsu Honten - Narita - Building

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was my second time staying at Wakamatsu Honten in Narita, and once again it was absolutely wonderful!! It is the perfect ryokan to stay in for your first or last night in Japan since Narita Station is only a 9 minute train ride away from the Narita airport. Wakamatsu Honten is about a 10 minute walk from the Narita Station (or a 3 minute taxi ride). It is across the street from a gorgeous ancient temple---the second largest in all of Japan! Plus Narita is known for its incredible sushi and unagi. Wakamatsu Honten has a lovely onsen that you can soak in after (or before!) a long journey. I will always recommend that my friends stay here. Oh, and if you are looking for a good bar nearby, the Jet Lag Club is great and has delicious Japanese whiskey. :-)
Cons: Nothing! It was perfect. :-)
5,0 Okay
Pros: Staffs speaks good english
Cons: Room was old, unpleasant and dusty for a "Renovated Standard Japanese-Style Room with Shared Bathroom and Private Toilet - Naritasan Temple View" You can hear everything happening outside your room
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Wakamatsu Honten is in the most perfect location for enjoying the wonderful old town of Narita and the beautiful Narita-san park (which has many remarkable Buddhist temples and pagodas). The staff is wonderful and we noted the very same friendly faces there two years after our first stay. The rooms on the park side have been more recently updated but all the rooms are clean and have everything you would expect at a ryokan of this level. We also love the traditional Japanese meals here; all generous seasonal, and beautifully prepared.
7,5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Comprehensive Japanese breakfast. Authentic setup including a state of the art telephone from my childhood. ;)
Cons: The neighbouring temple was nice to look at but also made the wake up call choice to be predefined..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was great but the dinner (served in our room and a vegetarian feast) was fabulous and the location (just opposite Naritasan Temple) was perfect.
Cons: One of the futons was lumpy but we are very fussy so most people would be OK with the bedding.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff made a great effort to accommodate to our food requests and helped us a lot with a luggage problem we had. The location was also great.
Cons: The look of the hotel was a bit tired.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: - Just opposite Narita-san Temple and near many shop on the street. - Kaiseki Dinner in Dinning Room >> serve Unagi (it's very famous in this street) - The Spa (mini onsen) open 24 hrs. >> onsen anytime as you want. - Staffs are very helpful.
Cons: - In-Room Kaiseki Dinner & Breakfast >> serve in Deluxe room type only, other room type serve in Dining Room 1 Fl. - Car Park is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The street in front off hotel is one-way direction. - Hot water in bathroom >> close in the night >> if you plan to take a bath in the night, you should go to The Spa (onsen).
8,6 Excellent
Pros: Traditional style and public bath. Fabulous temple across the street.

Pros: Getting off the plane in the late afternoon after a 10 hour flight from Melbourne, and with a family of 7 (grandparents, parents and 3 kids), this was a logical overnight hotel before departing for Kyoto the following day. Cons: Bathrooms could use an update.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle service was nice.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The Transfers from Terminal 2 was very good. Rapid Checkout by just handing in Key.
Cons: With a near full bus load of Guests picked up from Airport there were only 3 staff Checking in. This meant a wait of 20-25mins. Not good if you have been travelling all day. The room I was given was unknown to me at time of booking was a smoking room. It was horrible.. lucky for open window and air freshener. Rooms are tiny and do provide good noise insulation from Planes. Dinner Buffet was a bit limited in Western choices but OK
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was spick and span and the location ideally near to Narita Airport. The all around staff were highly courteous and went out of the way to help

Pros: There are frequent shuttle buses to the airport. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the face mask was incredible - I had a really good sleep.
Cons: I chose the hotel because of the leisure facilities, which I thought were included. However, I had to pay to use the swimming pool and again to use the sauna. Whilst I was checking out, the gentleman dealing with my booking ignored me whilst I was talking and started speaking to another guest (who obviously stays more frequently). He didn't then apologise, which was rude.

And if landing late or too tired there are Family Mart food and drink machines.
Cons: A little older but clean
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It is conveniently located near the airport. Perfect to stay for a night before my flight the next morning.
Cons: Meals at restaurant is kinda pricey for the quality of food you get.

Pros: Shuttle service was good.
Cons: No free wifi
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Generally the hotel itself is solid for the price. Relatively large rooms by Japanese standards, reasonably comfortable, characteristically clean etc. However what I really want to talk about is how impressed I was by the help we received from the staff who went far above and beyond to help us! We landed late at Narita about an hour after torrential typhoon rain had hit Chiba prefecture (10 people killed). This meant there were 'difficulties' at the airport and getting away from the airport. It took 3 hrs to clear security and after we made it the local shuttle bus had stopped for the evening. There were no trains running and no taxis available following the storm. It looked like either a late night 1.5 hour long walk (the hotel is difficult to get to from the airport on foot) with significant luggage or an evening on an airport bench awaited us after 12 hours of travelling. However the concierge absolutely came to our rescue and when we managed to talk to him on the phone he dispatched the hotels private car with two incredibly friendly and helpful members of staff to come and rescue us. Totally above and beyond what we would expect from a standard airport style hotel
Cons: I was so dazzled by the staff I can't think of much. A cash-point that allows international debit/credit cards would be useful (rather than the arcane but apparently ubiquitous banknote exchange machine) for airport travellers.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle bus service was great and convenient Room was nice and tidy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport with a free bus shuttle to JR Rail Station and shopping mall

Pros: The room was comfortable and bigger than most in Japan. Bed was very comfortable. Shuttle service to both the shopping mall and airport were good. Great buffet breakfast.
7,7 Good
Pros: The location is very convenient. Station is only about 15 min walk or from cab only 5-7 minutes. Few decent restaurants nearby and right in front of the hotel there is a 24hr convenience store as well.
Cons: The early check-in was way too much.. 800 yen per each extra out and the check in time is only from 3 pm..
7,0 Good
Pros: location — very near the airport and 30 mins taxi ride to Shisui Outlet
Cons: room was kinda old

Pros: Buffet array & value; free shuttle to train station, Aeon Mall & airport; amenities—bath & room; accommodating staff; English-speaking staff.
7,5 Good
Pros: European style hotel near airport
4,6 Okay
Pros: The shuttle service and the location in the countryside
Cons: We stayed here about 15 years ago and loved it. The place has since become very run down. The concierge staff were quite rude, only time in Japan that we came across it. There was broken flooring and the grounds were poorly kept.
6,0 Good
Pros: Room was spacious, food was good, free shuttle to the airport helped.
Cons: Staff wasn't friendly, no one even offered to help us with our luggage. Communication within the staff members was poor. One day, someone put do not disturb sign on our door (which we didn't put) and they didn't clean our room. Not sure who did that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I did not have time for breakfast; overall, a very enjoyable stay----thank you...

9,4 Excellent
Pros: Convenient before or after flight. Free airport shuttle to and from the hotel and also shuttle service to local town Narita and shopping mall.
Cons: Rooms are a bit dated, but were clean and comfortable.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was huge compared to others in Japan. It was clean and comfy, felt safe, the food was good too, all day and night room service was nice. They have a free shuttle to the airport and back, and offer tickets to Tokyo station and back for purchase which is alot more convenient than riding the metro.
Cons: It felt very western. I didnt come to Japan to feel like i was in a hotel in Boston. But thats just my opinion. The pillows were not comfy either. Its in the middle of nowhere so your going to have to get a bus or metro into Tokyo.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Definitely stay here You will enjoy it and you will want to stay there again.
Cons: Definitely stay here You will enjoy it and you will want to stay there again.
7,1 Good
Pros: staff were friendly
Cons: To far from the airpot

Cons: There was a bad smell in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The amazing staff that helped me who didn’t speak their language very well
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Free Japanese style breakfast is provided which was one of the main reason I chose this hotel. I also liked the free shuttle bus service to and from Narita Airport which was great when you have luggage.
Cons: Though close to Narita station..I didnt like walking up a hill and not too much places to eat around the surrounding areas unless you walk a bit.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. The staff in particular were very welcoming and very helpful on my first couple of days in Japan.
Cons: Bathtub was small, but I am not the smallest guy around. Couldn't figure out how to turn off one light without turning off the air conditioning, so had to leave it on through the night. Didn't matter that much to me at least.

Pros: A well appointed hotel for that one or two nights stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet and clean.

6,3 Good
Pros: Handy to airport, clean, well laid out room and good clean bathroom facilities.
Cons: Everything else was quite ok, but the room was too hot all night, with or without airconditioning. Sweating in shorts only at 7am in the room is not my idea of comfort.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient access from the airport. Convenience store very handy when too tired to visit the restaurant.
Cons: Nothing
4,2 Okay
Pros: The room was good. The lobby looked very nice.
Cons: A/C didn’t work well even we called to the front desk many times. The air felt like stuck and my boyfriend couldn’t sleep at all. We needed to leave the hotel at 4am (we planned to leave at 10am) due to the lack of good cool air in the room. The corridors and lobby felt much better but not inside the room.
7,0 Good
Pros: The service was great!
Cons: The first room we were given at the basement were pretty bad in terms of cleanliness, but luckily the staff allowed us to switch to a different room. Another thing to improve would be the bad smell of the rooms and the choice of carpets
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel offers fantastic value for money. The location for Narita airport is very practical. The shuttle service to the airport is excellent. There is a great selection of in-hotel restaurants to choose from. Convenience store in the hotel is small, but very handy. The hotel also has an onsen.
Cons: No complaints to make given the fantastic value for money.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, airport shuttle, big room
Cons: The carpets in the room and hallway had too much dust
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We missed our flight and had to scramble. They provided shuttle service to Narita (free) and also shuttle service to nearby towns and mall. Great little expedition to end or begin your trip in Japan. Affordable price is a huge selling point, and staff is very generous and really helpful. We drank heavily and had a time exploring the hotel and going out on the shuttle. Note, this place has a very 60's-80's ish decor. Which was hiliariously cheese and cool.
Cons: The beds are dated and the room is a bit smaller than traditional US hotels. Motel setting in a scaled hotel size.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: close to the Narita Airport, with shuttle bus between the airport and hotel. the car parking place is large, quite some kinds of resturants, the garden is good also
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Japanese Style
Cons: Service & condition & cleanliness & extra payments

Pros: Great. It was much better than expected and better than big airport hotel we later stayed at. Very close to train station. The weather was turning warm and the comforter is much too warm.
