Cons: We opted to 'Keep It Green' for Housekeeping which meant they were only going to change sheets if requested by us, not replace towels unless on the floor, etc.. They were supposed to have rooms cleaned between 9-6 but the second and fourth day we were there, they didn't come to our room at all. I had to call the front desk and request them to come in the 3rd day. I wouldn't have opted for that package if it meant they weren't going to come in at all. There were some slight, not issues but dis-approving appearances with our room that I feel like should have been fixed based on the pricing of the resort.. paint peeling from part of the ceiling above our heads where it looked as there had been a leak prior, the base of our light in the corner hadn't been dusted in what seemed like weeks and also some dry wall issues next to our bathtub.

Cons: The resort was dirty dingy and inconveniently set up. The carpets were dingy the hallways were dark and dirty .you had to take the elevator 2 times and walk through many corridors just to park. And we had a view of a wall. All the resort amenities that we paid for were closed or very dirty. The pool water was murky and you could see the dirt settled at the bottom. All we did was go to our room sleep and leave in the morning because there was nothing to do indoors or outdoors due to the rain. I was definitely overcharged. It was not worth ok t and I was charged more than the resort price.

Pros: Our little getaway to myrtle beach was rough! We had booked a room at captains Quarters Resort and I must say it was the worst resort I have ever been in. Thankfully we rebooked for the rest of our trip at west gate and it was perfect! The staff and visitors have all been perfect! Our daughters literally say wow each time we open the door! We will not book anywhere else! Thank you Westgate for saving our Labor Day weekend getaway!

Cons: I realized after I checked out that I was charged for two nights instead of one. I had originally made a 3-day booking but at the last minute, I spoke to the desk. I had a family emergency that required my attendance of a sick family member at a local hospital and told them I only needed the hotel for one night. I was told I would only be charged for one night. In the morning, I checked out extremely early, the manager was not available to speak with, and I was given a zero balance bill at my request. Because I was stressed out about having to get to the hospital emergently, I didn't look at the bill until later and realized I was charged for two nights. Pretty disappointed but I never did call because of the hurricane and I don't really feel like arguing with them. Maybe they will respond to this review and say they will refund me one night. And maybe they won't.

One of the receptionist at check- in could have been more friendly, she was somewhat rude, didn’t get her name she wasn’t wearing a name badge. My family and I checked out Sunday, September 1st around 6:45 to 7:00pm and received a call from the hotel around 10:15pm asking us to evacuate the building, because of the mandatory evacuation. The hotel should keep better track of their guests!

Cons: The restaurant was disgusting. The table cloth was dirty and the food cold. A majority of the staff appear as if they are in rehab. I killed two roaches and the bathtub was unleveled resulting in me slipping in the bathtub hurting myself.

Cons: It looks like they are beginning upgrades to some of the buildings. Make sure you pay the extra money for the oceanview. Some of the buildings are in bad need of a facelift.

When we checked in, we were told we could not upgrade with them. We were told that we would have to upgrade through the company that made the reservations since we had booked through them. Cons: Everything was horrible from the moment of check in. I was overcharged by $160, which for a 2 night stay was only supposed to be $167 originally from booking.com. The total was $384 that I was charged for those 2 nights. After I thought about it, I spoke to the manager who checked me in and he said he didn't know why he charged me that much. The pet fee was understandable but not the other charges. I thought he would fix this like we discussed, which included a partial refund and extending the stay by an additional night. However, on the added day Housekeeping knocked on my door 4 times then called security to have me removed. I walked over to the office to have them fix this again. I ended up having to pay another $84 on my card because the manager did not fix the issue or process my additional day properly. In the system he put me in a different room, which was not told to me or show up on the housekeeping reservation list. I hated the experience and will never go back not do I recommend this place for anyone.

Cons: This place was the worst. Thought I was actually booking our vacation at a decent Resort but this place is just a big oversized rundown horrible Motel. We stayed there 1 week and the maid service did not even change the sheets on the bed one time while we were there. We got clean towels every day that was probably the best thing about the place. Everything is so run down and dirty and unkept. the hallways stink of urine from the bathrooms, the pools were absolutely disgusting, the water level was so low that the pools weren't even cycling through the filter systems. The whole place needed painting it was just horrible looking. The pictures that they are using online for you to get an idea of what this place might look like are probably 30 years old, this place does not look like this at all. don't be deceived by the pictures. The bed was so awful you could feel the Springs through the mattress. We actually went to Walmart and bought a memory foam pad to put on the bed and more pillows so that we could actually try to get a little bit of sleep the week we were there. 7 in the morning fire alarms are going off. In the middle of the night people are playing basketball up on the roof above our head the only decent thing was we got towels and it's right on the beach. And the TV in the room was awful, it was Fuzzy with snow on the picture, couldn't even watch TV in the evening before bed. We would never go back there again. We do not recommend this Motel to anyone. A Comfort Inn is much nicer than this place.

Cons: Upon arrival we couldn't find where to check in;the staff was rude and absolutely no help. We had to park across the street behind water park so basically 2 streets over with young children and luggage. The elevator was broken in parking garage. The elevator in the byielding was TINY not even room for luggage and constantly had pee in it. Exit signs where ripped down. Our air was broken and the cord was all taped up in wall;very unsafe. The ceiling was caving in. Our balcony was broken so we couldn't even enjoy the ONLY good thing about the property for safety reasons. I have tons of pictures I intend to include on my yelp review. O and when we got to our room; there was MOLDY BREAD in it.
