Very well organised hotel. Great food, staff and room. Excellent spa. A nice touch was the complimentary hotel taxi to the main lift each morning, and if you missed that, it’s 5 minutes walk to the lift or you can take a local bus from the main road close to the hotel
Beds were a little soft and hot. Apart from that, great hotel for families
The staff were simply amazing. The comfort and absolute cleanliness of the room. Breakfast and dinner food was really good. The spa and pool are great. To top it all off the hotel allows you to use the spa, pool, and showers the day you check out if you go skiing (which we did).
There is nothing I didn't like at the hotel. It all went quite ideal.
I do recommend this hotel with a few caveats. The hotel staff are here are great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is reasonably comfortable, rooms are good, wellness area is quite nice with in/out pool and usual sauna and steam etc available. Everything is immaculately clean. Food is very good generally with the odd exception as mentioned below. It's on the edge of town with a 5 or 6 minute walk to the high street.
Whilst I think the hotel is good, I don't mean to be negative but point out a few observations here which may help people to not be as surprised as I was. We were in room 115 which is directly above the bar which had occasional noise and also opposite the hotels farm buildings, which sometimes had a little noise from large vehicles. The food is generally very good with a great selection at breakfast and dinner but there are a couple of issues. Scrambled eggs and bacon in the tray at breakfast were generally a little dry and not very fresh whenever I arrived at 8:00. You can ask for fried eggs which were over done. There is a great selection of bread at breakfast however in the evening the cheese board does not really get restocked, so if you arrive at the back end of dinner time there are only scraps of cheese left with the remains of the mornings stale bread as an accompaniment. The hotel minibus with it's lovely friendly driver can take you to lifts or station in morning, it does not operate in the afternoon. Only one of the ski buses, Line E stops outside meaning you can get back to the hotel from the Ahorn or Penken but not from the station if you have been on the train to Zell, Kaltenbach or on the Glacier bus, meaning a laborious change of buses. Unfortunately the local bus map is misleading on this as the Line C bus to and from station does not stop at hotel. My wife had a massage in the spa. The massage was very good but she had to ask the lady who did it to turn off the radio which was blaring a German talk show instead of relaxing music. At the end of the massage my wife was told to get up and leave the room without the customary 5 or 10 minutes time to relax. These things meant the whole experience was not as relaxing as it could have been. Whilst the dining room is quite big, the bar and lounge area is very small for this standard of hotel. There are no further comfortable public rooms with armchairs etc for relaxing with a drink.
The service and hospitality were incredible. The staff was so nice and helpful. From the moment you check in, you can just tell that the hotel really values its customers. They are so friendly and welcoming. The meals (breakfast + dinner) were great. The area around the hotel is beautiful and charming. The hotel amenities were really nice, and overall, we loved this place.
Simply we liked everything.Spa area with saunas, and great pool area !
One very small minus, there should be possibility to have a drink by the pool too ?
