Cons: On arrival, we were notified that, in order to get an extra bed for our daughter, we had to pay for an upgrade to our room for the amount of 45€. They wouldn't give us the upgrade for free, nor would they give us access to the executive lounge, even after agreeing to pay. Especially since we were then given a room on the executive level!

Cons: But I was promised to not be charged for my parking fee if I will prolong my stay with Hyatt Mainz. But at the end they have charged me. I think it’s not a reasonable fee for a five star hotel. Wish Hyatt to improve their services with its guests. Next time I’ll be looking forward for more accurate hotel services.

Cons: Gloomy exterior when one arrives, not brightened by dark lobby/bar area. Check in procedure poor. Was interrogated as to how many people would be staying and whether I wanted a second key card. Not a good feeling! Had requested river view room but not granted. Overall the property is not good value for money.

Pros: It is a quite new and beautiful hotel. Close to the main sightseeing and with friendly staff. The reason my note is low is because of the lightening in my bedroom that was not working. Also it can be a bit loud.

Cons: As with most hotels in Europe, I find them way to warm. I prefer to sleep in cooler rooms, luckily I could open the window to cool it down. Other than that it was a very nice place/area to stay.

Pros: As we arrived at the hotel we were a little syrprised that it seemed to be further out from the town centre than we had thought, it also looked somewhat characterless from the outside. However the hotel turned out to be really closely located to the centre, probably a 15 to 20 minute or so walk and the inside was probably as modern as any hotel I have been in with the room and overall ambience of the hotel super clean and sleek. Car parking was excellent (underground), staff were helpful, breakfast was decent with good service and whislt Mainz itself wouldnt be on my list of towns to return to or to visit as anything more than a stop over the hotel itself doesnt dissapoint. There are also a number of places nearby to get an evening meal - overall a very decent place to stop overnight

Cons: I arrived with luggage for myself and my friend who must use a walker. No one offered to show us to our room or help her with her suitcases.No one explained how the lighting needed a card nor how to use the shower which subsequently flooded the bathroom and wet the carpet.I chose this hotel thinking they would be mindful of special needs. Instead I got just the opposite.

Cons: There is no room heating system. I had to ask reception for this. they gave me a small oil heater which was not enough for that size of room. Room was too cold. The Shower drain was blocked, it let's water flow very slowly resulting in water gathers in your feet while bathing.

Pros: good breakfast, nice employees
Cons: We entered our room, I had a shower and a little later i wanted to use the toilet, :-( so dirty, unbelievable. This toilet hasn't been cleaned in years. But the lady at the reception gave a a new renovated room at once. That one was good only a few hooks in the bathroom were missing. What I do not understand is: why giving guests old room when I do have new ones ??????

Pros: It ' s located close to the train station. Cleanness. Nice staffs. it's quiet at night. They provide electric fan too.
Cons: There is no kettle. Actually the room is quite empty. My room smells of smoke everytime I enter. But it's fade after time. (oreventually get used to it) too few power socket.

Pros: The terrific staff was very friendly and helpful with questions about the area. The location is close to the train station and necessity shopping for your stay. The room was clean and the maid service was professional.
Cons: The hotel is somewhat dated. Only bar and snacks on premises. No coffee in room.

Cons: Even we keep heating system warm as management, room is cold. Bathroom door was not locked.. Cooler was not working..

Pros: Location is in a very calm place. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, however, it is close to the university institutes (if you intend to visit them). The trip to the city centre will take you about 5-7 minutes by bus or tram. Staff is great. Lodging is not expensive. The bed is comfortable. My room had a table where I could work with my laptop.

Cons: The shower didn’t drain. Our room didn’t have outlets next to the bed ... or we couldn’t find them ;). Nothing really bad or what can’t be fixed.

Cons: Only 4 parkings, the breakfast was good, the room and the bed too small for 2 persons, bad signal for the TV, the drinks in the fridge were not been replaced kn the next day.

Cons: Well, the breakfast was fine in general, however, it would be better if omelette gives place to other dishes from time to time (pancakes, scrambled eggs...). My room was a bit dark. I mean, there is not enough lighting in the evening. In spite of these remarks, the hotel is very good, especially for a business trip.

Cons: I got a single room in the basement, the window was undergrownd, so I had no air. The first day I woke up, there was so breakfast because the service didn’t wake up. Never again I will choose this hotel!

Cons: The bathroom has almost no surfaces to put stuff on. The toilet was a bit tempermental. There is not enough sound-proofing between guest rooms. Maybe I'm spoiled by larger, more expensive hotels. But the price was right. I would stay here again.

Pros: The hotel room was very clean and tidy and the staff friendly.
Cons: There were no hot drink facilities in the room and so i was charged for the cup of tea that i wanted upon my arrival. It would have been nice to have been provided with a kettle and some tea bags/coffee sachets etc..
