We chose the Graduate for its proximity to UW Madison. The location is also perfect for visiting any number of restaurants up & down State Street. The room was a double queen size which was perfect for myself, wife & son. The shower pressure was a bit weak for my taste but, all considered, the hotel is well kept, up to date and quite comfortable. We plan on returning.

Pros (+) Excellent location to visit the university. Nice lobby and Portage Pi is great. Nice vibe. Clean rooms. Would stay again. Location and nice hotel outweighs the noise at night.
Cons (-) Room was hot so we opened the windows to sleep comfortably. However, the noise from the street was very loud until well into the early hours of the morning. So we had to be hot or have loud noise. Kept the windows open all of second day to cool down room so we could keep windows closed at night. That was better.

Pros (+) Very comfortable. Easy access to downtown's best. Sparerib pie for breakfast. Looking forward to returning.
Cons (-) Heavy rain kept us from enjoying the beautiful rooftop lounge.
