Solaluna Beach Homestay - Abang - Building

Pros: Wonderful hotel , nothing is too much trouble ,,staff are just amazing,
Cons: Nothing ,,,,,,
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted at the front entrance by a staff member who sat us down in the restaurant that fronts the Homestay and given a wonderful welcome fruit drink to help us settle in. We ended up eating in this restaurant several times (in the mornings for the very nice breakfast that was included) as well as for two lunches and dinners. We found the ambience in the restaurant to be very pleasant and the food/coffee/fruit smoothies were great. In comparing the food with a couple of the other establishments highly recommended by Trip Advisor we found this place to be every bit as good if not better. Service was sincere and friendly. We had a room right at the beach. It was spacious, clean, pleasant and with an added bonus of an outdoor daybed on the lanai to watch the beach activities from. We did Stand-up paddleboarding right in front of the Homestay and snorkeling was within an easy walk down the beach. The staff for the accomodations and restaurant were excellent. They helped us arrange a wonderful snorkeling trip in a small fishing boat right in front of our room, as well as a driver to our next destination. Amed is a charming place and Solaluna made the stay there extra special. Would highly recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. As we walked in from the street, I was apprehensive...it’s dusty and a bit barren between the restaurant on the street and the bungalow courtyard area on the beach. I was also concerned that there was no pool...but what we got at the other end of the track was glorious. You can see the sun set behind Agung at one end of the beach, and rise at the other end. The bungalows are sparkling clean with comfortable beds and good aircon, though we only used it once as the sea breeze kept us cool. The sea is calm and lovely. We had dinner served on the beach and in our room. Bliss. The staff surprised us with complementary drinks and crepes. Even a seafood dinner one night! And they are truly friendly people who showed great concern when my son was unwell. There is always someone around and we felt 100% safe and cared for as a mum and young son travelling together. We stayed 5 days in the end after initially booking for 3. Solaluna is a little piece of paradise.
Cons: Literally nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I chose this property as it had great reviews and they were spot on. Bali is known for its incredible hospitality but Solaluna are one step above again. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms. It was still a good size, clean and comfortable. The beach front location is amazing, on a quiet section of the beach. The food in the adjoining restaurant is really good as was the breakfast provided with the accommodation. I look forward to returning with my family.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like in my room was the lack of windows. It did however mean that the room was quiet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We loved all the staff there. They were so welcoming. Went above and beyond. The amazing beach, sunsets, and sunrises.
Cons: That they are rated as a 2 star. Should be more like a 3.5 star.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! This is my favorite place we’ve stayed in 4 months of travel. Beautiful view, garden, comfy shaded lounging area on the beach, lovely bathrooms, air conditioning, WiFi. Sunrise, sunset, and snorkeling within a short walk. Staff went above and beyond- free coconut pancakes and watermelon juice delivered to our room one afternoon, and a full fish dinner one evening. They suggested we keep the rented snorkeling gear for more than one day at no extra charge. Most of all, Gede helped us contact our previous hosts, locate a lost item, and brought us back to collect it. Their hospitality knows no bounds. Oh, and I really loved the day bed to lounge on right on our porch. Amazing place start to finish.
Cons: Power/AC/WiFi cut out a few times but wasn’t really a problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a great place! Our room was located on a first floor and had an amazing view onto the volcano. Room was spacious, air-coned, with fridge (where you would find few beers and water at arrival). Bathroom was big and very funky. Balcony, again, very spacious, with bed, table and bench. Breakfast delicious, staff polite, kind and just adorable - all of them. WiFi worked spot on. Close to the end of our stay there, we were approached by a member of staff who explained that in their tradition (as fisherman) and as a 'thank you' they would like to cook a fresh fish for us on our last day. This was the best fish I have ever eaten, caught just few hours before being grilled - absolutely beautiful. They did not want money from us for that meal but accepted a tip - the owner explained that the tip would be shared among all staff. We loved it there and hope that we could return one day. Thank you!

Pros: Great stay : really nice house with seaview, clean, good breakfast, nice people, great location. We even had a surprise: the last fish dinner was offered. Would have enjoyed staying longer !
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great location directly on the beach. A Team is very friendly
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and welcoming everyday, stunning view of sea and volcano from the room. The location is perfect, you can reach pretty much everything by walk or if you are lazy they help you rent a motorbike. Good breakfast! We will definitely stay here again next time!

Pros: Amazing view, amazing swimming pool and very nice rooms. We had a villa for 4 people, very nice, very comfortable beds and great wifi. Very well decorated, the owners have an amazing taste. We had dinner and breakfast in front of the sea, the place is calm and look heavenly. The four of us loved this place and wished to stay there even longer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was not too much trouble. Excellent, if a little overdecorated food. The best pool and facilities, a couple of negatives would be slightly noisy air conditioning in the master bedroom, also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, a small but slightly irritating thing if you want a coffee early morning! We loved the place and will be back.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with AMAZING view, highly recommended! The hotel facilities, the view, the rooms, the pool, the garden, the restaurant: everything exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do it justice, it's much more beautiful in reality!! It's very relaxed and quiet, because of the limited number of rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The family room was very comfortable, when travelling with children. In the restaurant they have a baby chair, which is very practical. You can snorkel in front of the hotel and they offer nice activities in the area, like sailing/ hiking etc. In the afternoon they offer massages in the garden, they are GREAT.
Cons: Only feedback I can think of: cleaning of the rooms can be done a bit more precise/ extensive. But overall: big fan of this hotel and will recommend it to all our friends.

Pros: Serene location, superb staff, very restful place to stay. Food is excellent, beaches nearby for snorkeling. The rooms are off the road so no noise from loud motorbike traffic at early or late hours. Will hopefully stay again!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very well planned and maintained private villa in beautiful surroundings on the seaside cliff. Super-friendly staff. Excellent organic food in villa's restaurant.
Cons: A fridge and a safetty box in the room would have been nice.

Pros: You can snorkel directly from the beach. There is a beautiful coral reef right in the sea just in front of the hotel. The sea view is exceptionally beautiful from the restaurant.

Pros: The views, the food, the location, happy hour and the floating breakfast.
Cons: Expensive
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quality accommodation with open view to the sea and sunrise , great totally private pool, classy food served well. Management and staff were excellent. Lovely roof top bar to sip cocktails watching the sunset and the highest volcano volcano Mt Agung. The location is very nice, short walking distance to the beaches (Lipah) for swimming and snorkelling swim straight from the beach to the coral. Taking the hotel's bicycles up beautiful country roads where the locals live and farm, including terraced rice fields.
Cons: Nothing...
5,8 Okay
Pros: Views were amazing The food was delicious
Cons: The lounges, cushions and even the lampshades were really stained. For $700 a night I expected it to be cleaner
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the villa was absolutely amazing, the willingness of the staff to help any way they could was exceptional, and the cooking class was fun and delicious, while also teaching us a little about Balinese culture. There are grocery stores nearby where you can stock up on supplies and excellent snorkeling or diving that the staff can help arrange for you.
Cons: For dinner and lunch the options for traditional Bali food was very limited and the ones on there were set up to be for 2 people (my significant other and I could not agree on a dish to share.) The bartenders did excellent making mixed drinks when we asked for a traditional Bali drink, but did not do well with the mixed drinks on the menu. The restaurant was not the quality I was expecting after seeing how posh the lobby and room were. With a bit more training for the staff I believe it could be everything though.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is like a house you have everything inside a whole kitchen that you can actually cook there and also they have a water dispenser in the villa so don’t get water bottles with you as there is water everywhere not like other hotels offering two bottles each night no they give you a big water dispenser with big water bottle and glass bottles that you can fill to have it with u during the day and the bathroom you will really enjoy it
Cons: Seriously nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The facility was perfect as was the food. Must do is the cooking class, awesome family experience.
Cons: I booked in with pre paid accommodation. They then charged my CC for the accommodation again at A$3,200. They did reverse this yet they were so worried because they didn’t take a deposit they insisted every time we got a drink or food I pay with cash or credit card, couldn’t book anything to the room. How embarrassing to be told at the pool that I must go back to my room to get cash or card while my family stayed there, this in front of 30 other people. I would have thought if they could charge my card for $3,200 they assume I could cover the $900 in miscellaneous charges. So embarrassed.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: a stunning private villa with infinity pool. We booked deluxe villa and realized there was 2 bedrooms inside. Probably it was for 4 adults but we got all facilities for us. Totally worth the money.
Cons: Food were not that great and did not meet 5 stars standard.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a pool villa with an amazing view. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast. Delicious food.
Cons: Breakfast area is not very nice. No view and really bad chairs.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking views. Good kitchen. Sunset at the rooftop bar.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Pool great Food & entertainment great
Cons: Little old Towels worn

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great resort ocean side resort in all respects.
Cons: My only minor criticism is that the beds were very hard, but I have found that is not uncommon in Bali.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved it ! beautiful staff so accomodating and a beautiful spot the Breakfast was delicious everyday and we loved our room with its outdoor shower and lovely gardens
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely beach front resort in one of the quietest parts of Bali I’ve visited. The villas all have lush garden outlooks and pretty paths connecting them. Traditional in Bali hut style with outdoor showers. The staff couldn’t be faulted and the management staff were wonderful and accommodating. A short walk to the Main Street with a few small restaurants, shops & massage places. Not the place to go for night life or shopping but the perfect spot for a relaxing few days. Whitesands beach is a 20 min boat ride away for beach swimming but the pool at the resort was lovely. Perfect for families and older kids but not really suitable for younger children.
Cons: The only let down of our stay was the aftersun spa treatment, we thought we’d treat ourselves but given the $$ we both left feeling a little disappointed.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Nice garden very green and clean.
Cons: Quote prices in IDR not USD please. Too many tours soliciting for boat and taxi rides. No “real” beach.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely resort, set in a lovely location, away from the busy touristy areas. Friendly, welcoming staff, nice pool and day spa.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had previously stayed at Puri Bagus 3 times so this was our 4th trip. The staff were all amazing and spoiled us especially for being return guests. They remembered us even though it had been a long time since our last visit. Puri Bagus is situated in a quiet area by the beach and the location is very peaceful and so good for a relaxing stay.
6,3 Good
Pros: Generally the hotel is nice despite the age. It is. 25 years resort and you can feel it. Rooms are little cottages, big and nice.
Cons: Many things unfortunately. Listing: - food. The quality was so&so, breakfast more suitable for a school dining all than a resort - room forniture and bathroom. They definitely need an update - towels and bed sheet: really consumed and shabby - hotel location. Candidasa, the city where the hotel is located is actually ugly. Nothing to see, no good bar or restaurant, no historic places. No reason to stop there - the beach. Basically the resort does not have a real beach. There is no sand but just a dock on the sea.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and calm in east Bali. The pool was divine and the restaurant food delicious. Rooms were quiet and spacious. They brought ice to your room every evening for drinks.
Cons: The wifi was very temperamental and there is not much to do nearby without an expensive taxi.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: In top three of all the many swimming pools I have swum in all over the world

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant is really good, large variety of choices for the breakfast. 2 swimming pools nice and clean.
Cons: Fresh juices and fruits are quite tasteless. They could have explained how their scooters work because it was really tricky using them, ask for explanation if you rent one.
6,7 Good
Pros: - the ocean view, swimming pool, restaurant area - plants across the whole hotel area - privacy from other guests - ability to rent scooter in the hotel in reasonable price and the ability to choose a preferred model on the parking lot
Cons: - strangely composed menu choices - unfriendly stuff (seem no to be willing to help that much) - slightly unpleasant experience in SPA (staff was very chatty and laughing to each other during massage, also I had to ask them to be more delicate) - quite expensive restaurant with no that good food - the room and bathroom could be a bit more clean - only one wine-bottle opener for the whole hotel!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clead, good food, very nice pools. Would come again
Cons: It was not located so good and they had no shuttle service into the city.
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent location, spacious rooms. Plenty of shade by the pool. Cool towel and drink on check in. Helpful reception staff.
Cons: Breakfast was okay but could have been better.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, nice big balcony with a beautiful sea view (the room was on the 1st floor) and nice bathroom. There were 2 pools, which is good because one of them is almost always occupied by diving lessons, and the environment is pleasant: lawns, flowers and trees. Staff is effective and friendly, breakfast quite filling and offers several choices.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard, slightly uncomfortable but nothing really serious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about our stay here. The staff were lovely, the food was superb, our room was great, and the location was perfect - on beach side of the road and sort of in between the busier parts of Amed which suited us fine. We were here to just crash out and escape city life, it was the perfect escape. Lots of hours spent by the pools reading and resting.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, just a 5min walk to Lipah Beach which was nice and quiet compared to busy Amed and Jemeluk, but still good snorkelling. Lovely pools, facilities and outlook. Most staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Fantastic 3 course breakfast which you could chose, included in room price below. Great value for money, approx NZD100 for two people per night in a lovely, big twin room with bathroom, balcony with lots of space and sea views. Mirror in the room (as well as bathroom) is great, and often missing from other hotels. Despite some minor downsides, would definitely recommend!
Cons: One waitress at the restaurant was terrible and rude. Dinner was also pretty bad - eat lunch and dinner elsewhere, there are some great places on the way to Lipah Beach. Had probably the worst pedicure of my life - one side cut so short and curved, they made me bleed, after I tried to tell her to only file not cut and keep them straight (language barrier, even if I knew some Bahasa Indonesia I don’t think I could have communicated that), the other side normal and longer, but both sloppy paint as she ran over time. You will need transport if you want to go anywhere else - we walked 3km to Jemeluk one day which would normally take us 30min. Took an hour due to hills, walking on dusty roadside with no footpath, and the heat! Stony beach at the resort, but Lipah just down the road is nicer and sandy. Steep driveway and lots of stairs, not an issue for us but would be for anyone who isn’t fit and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Bad lighting in the room and especially bathroom, and no extraction fan in bathroom. But think this is typical of cheaper hotels in Bali.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room with ocean view, mosquito net just in case, local restaurant (the curry and the sate were really good!), two diving centers next door and diving or snorkeling just outside
Cons: A bit limited regarding food options (although gusto was really good) without a scooter but that is probably the definition of a first world problem
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love that it was right on the beach, the two pools were fabulous with the daybeds overlooking the ocean. Our room was spacious with a balcony with ocean views. The food was great, the stall were lovely, always smiling and helpful. The dive facility attached was fantastic. We would return in a heartbeat!

Cons: Traditional wooden building, very close to sea wall with very loud crashing waves. When I read the reviews of this place being "peaceful"& "quiet" it felt as if it was just right. However, sleep would have been really difficult as the manager explained the noise from the waves would be greater at night and the wooden building with it's many windows would not keep the noise out. It's a bit tired and you can only eat in your room. Despite having pre paid for four nights, we moved elsewhere. The manager, Made, was really kind and understanding and took us somewhere else we booked at our cost, about 6 minutes away, that we had found that would be quieter.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and the location were so lovely, a truly relaxing stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best kept secret in Bali! We are torn between keeping it a secret or sharing this with visitors to this magic island. East Bali is the authentic Bali, with stunning nature and the culture ever present. Being extensive travellers, Jasri Bay Hideaway is our favourite spot and we have already planned our next stay here.
Cons: Having to leave ....;o)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with incredible absolute beach front. The location flanked by mountains and rice terraces was breathtaking and the food was delicious.
Cons: Not a criticim of the property itself but the beach is pretty rough for swimming for our toddler and not ideal for surfing, to surf it’s about a 1km beach walk and for swimming you want to hop on a motorbike to white sand beach. Both easily doable but good to know.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked it all.. Location, villa, environment, pool, all.... staff especially!!! All was so perfect we will never forget our retreat and we hope we will be able to return soon!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and views were spectacular. It was really nice and quiet, perfect to enjoy an isolated time disconnecting from daily life. Staff were nice and flexible, and the whole experience was like taken out of a movie.
Cons: Everything was wonderful! The only negative point is the amount of garbage thrown in the shore by the sea, but that's not the hotel's fault.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is scheduled, yet with easy access to everything (Chandidasa, Ubud, Amed, etc). It is very quiet and peaceful, with both ocean front and mountain views. The accommodations are more than spacious and comfortable. The ocean breeze and the sound of the waves crashing is soothing and tranquil. With perfect ocean views and pool there is anything more we could ask for.
Cons: There is nothing we did not like about the property. It is amazing! We would definitely come back to stay again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. Always on time & eager to help.
Cons: NA
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: The villa is good. And the design is good
Cons: First, we arrived at night and the road to the place was not with asphalt and it was creepy. The security got us to the villa without checking any ID's. All the doors and windows were opened and the room was humid as well as the bed and the lighting was bad we couldn't see properly and the vault was too small. The next night there were big black ants in the room and on the bed at 12:30am and the security didn't speak english and didn't help us. The next morning while we were on the private pool, people from outside walked near our pool as they were walking on the beach (the villa is not private as any outsider can walk into it and see everything even the bathtub!!!!!). And during the last night there were a lot of big black ants all over the place and kn the bed and they got inside our bags! We called the security and they didn't help and then they called the manager who came and tried to help us but the place was full with ants and we had to leave with the big ants in our bags!!! It was horrible by all means. The facility is good but there is no control over the pests, even in the toilet chair area were the big black ants walks all around the chair!!! Unfortunately, that was the worst hotel experience I faced in my life. a lot of pests and no privacy! It was our anniversary trip, and it was compketely ruined!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome. Super relaxing with perfect views - right next to ocean. Ideal if you just want to relax and enjoy nature. Stars were super brilliant. Lovely wooden villa's with sweeping views from porches. great pool.
Cons: Breakfast was almost comically too little. One thin pancake, and a little fruit. Coffee was pretty good. Food was pretty good, but a little expensive - Had to pay 72000 after taxes and fees for the rice that didn't come with the curry.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Jasri Bay Hideaway is a beautiful place to relax where the only noise you'll hear is the sea. The staff were extremely helpful and looked after us very well, providing transport, massage, and excellent food. There is a beautiful white-sand beach nearby which they can arrange easy transport to.

Pros: The owners are very kind. The staff are caring and helpfull. Food was very nice. It is a relaxing place with a beautiful pool and view. We did a lot of great stuff when we were there and there ready to give you the best days of your life. Thanks for everything!
Cons: /
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Cabe bali is located in the middle of the rice field. You can see tremendous number of stars and it is very quiet. the neighborhood is very local and thus nice. Plenty of local restaurant are reachable with about 5min ride motobike (you can rent scooter from staff) or a little more walking. Same for Trinta Gangga. The place is great. The bungalows are very nicely furnished. there are very few (only7?) spread among the beautiful garden (almost a park!) so you have plenty of intimity. The pool is great and clean with a nice view on the rice field. The staff is very helpful and adorable. The Balinese food is good with great service. We felt like in Bali which looks like the one before the touristic boom. We had a more than lovely stay and will come back!
Cons: The internet is ok but doesn't allow to download any doc fast so if you need to work I advise to go to a cafe.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, food in general was very good. The hosts were lovely and chatty as much as they could. Garden and facilities, very well maintained and it was close to tirta gangga.
Cons: There is no air con which can an difficult if it gets too hot. For is it was still ok.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel is good in you warnt to visit pura lempuyang and tirta gangga. Nice view to the rice fields. Frendly staff, good and easy Communication and fair price
Cons: Breakfast could have been better
9,6 Excellent
Pros: i have to say this place is really beyond amazing! the owner is extremely friendly. they are couple German-Indonesia. The place is only has several villa, which is good and so private. they have very good swimming pool and in front of it you can see rice paddy. when you walk out from this place, you just need 15 minutes walk and arrive in taman tirtagangga. The room is amazing! it's like 5 star hotel... the design interior of the room, and the garden is really remind you with tropical paradise. The restaurant room is near by the little pool, sometimes you can hear lizard "singing" called tokek and they are so cool to hear! just bear in mind, first they don't have air conditioner, but mosquito net. Amenity also provide by them, include bathrobe and so. Also The food is very nice! but they just only have selected menu. the second is this place is only if you want to have lazy time, so if you want to do some adventure, It would be nice if you have scooter or car because this area is quite remote surrendering by mount and rice paddy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Barbara and her staff are amazing. Willing to help you at any time! The room was very clean and cozy. great food!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing owners and amazing family place - 7 minutes walk by real rice fields to Tirta Gangga and then you are back at the oasis in the middle of Balinese villages. Plus the owners did everything possible to make our stay better)
5,8 Okay
Pros: The property is really well located less than 5 minutes walk from the water palace, it has beautiful views over the rice fields and you can see the sea from the yard. The yard is very beautifully landscaped with nice plants and flowers all around. The pool is very nice, the staff is very friendly and the food was really good.
Cons: We stayed in the villa number 1, which was infested with rats in the attic. We would hear them crawl and run above our heads all night long. In the morning, we would find their excrements all over the floor of the bedroom. There would be dust from the attic all over the floor of the villa due to the rats night activity. The furniture is outdated, the interior could really be freshened up. There were very big spider webs above the lamps and no hot water for the two nights we stayed there.

Pros: Very tranquility and privacy Location is near to Titi Gangga Pura

Pros: Close to the beach, nice staff, ok for families
Cons: Bathroom needed a revamp, or a good clean scrub Towels old and worn
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great view and perfect access to the beach. Very good value for this price. I recommand!
Cons: Some staff was insisting a bit to much to us to use additional chardged activities like Spa
7,1 Good
Pros: It is directly at the beach. Restaurant looks nice at the beach. Staff is nice.
Cons: We did not get the room we actually booked, so we left after one night instead of four. That night was not the best night for me in Bali. The door does not close very well and there is a big hole in the bathroom roof. So you can hear everything as the wind blows through your room. The bathroom also didn’t smell nice.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: I like the view, the vibe, nice ang quiet.very nice place to skip from the city side
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people, nice music live on the evening : great performing from Salim the solo guitarist!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a triple room which was really nice - overlooking the sea. The beds are comfy too. You can hear the sound of the waves coming in the whole time. The pool was lovely and nice and the breakfast/food in the restaurant are delicious.
Cons: We stayed in the triple room and you can hear everything and anything - at night there was loud music playing at the nearby club /party place past midnight, and in the morning the rooster made so much noise! I guess since the bathroom has an open roof concept - which means the howling sound of the wind or anything from outside can be heard from the inside too.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pak Komang is the host with the most, his staff are incredibly brilliant at showing you true Balinese hospitality, food is impeccable, accommodation is impeccable.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing we did not enjoy,
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly Staffs, good Food
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, rooms are very comfortable, staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing wad to much trouble. They went out of their way to find somewhere for me to watch AFL!
Cons: The food was definitely aimed at tourists, very little in the way of Indonesian food.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved, loved , loved our stay here! We stayed in room #4 and had the best view of pool with ocean right behind it. The staff was awesome! We can’t say enough about this amazing resort and staff!

Pros: Great location for what we wanted.
Cons: Great room, great staff very helpful.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent sea and village views. Lovely chill out area and huge balcony. Food in the restaurant and portion sizes were very good, making it good value.
Cons: 90 steps to our room. Quite a lot of noise from the road.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: The view was great.
Cons: Bed sheets were stained, first room we had did not have hot water or a kettle, so they had to move us to another room. The staff was very unfriendly comparing to all the other places we had been in Bali. The pool needs a serious upgrade and the area is very noisy. The breakfast was not up to standard. Overall not a place I would recommend, especially not for honeymoon!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location. Very friendly staff. Family owned and ran. Can organise scooters, tours, itineraries and general information.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location, the calm, the friendly staff, the food, and the amazing view from the terrace.
Cons: We had room service for lunch on our terrace and the plates was not cleaned until next morning. Not everything was available on the breakfast menu. We had some misfortune with the cold water.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is just above the Japanese shipwreck diving site so it's very convenient. The villa has a really good view of the beach and truly spacious, providing a cosy place to hang out. Food surpasses our expectation and don't miss the complimentary afternoon tea. One of the best scone on this part of the island! Very friendly staff as well.
Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: The daybed in the living area was lovely as was the 'Princess' bed in the main bedroom. The view from the outdoor living area was spectacular but unfortunately it was marred by a massive power line.
Cons: I was very disappointed in the property especially after I had done a lot of research to find the perfect place for our stay in Amed. The hotel is a very long way from Amed town and it seemed to take forever to get there up and down hills and around windy roads. There was one staff member (a young lady) who assisted us with check in who was lovely but I feel like the young man who attended us for the rest of our stay didn't really want to be there. The hotel is very old and in desperate need of renovation. The food was expensive for what we got and I was disappointed in how much we had to pay for breakfast when many of the items we ordered were supposed to be included in the price of the room. This hotel is one of the most expensive properties in Amed (apart from a few high quality luxury Villas) and I feel that it was definitely not worth what we paid.
7,9 Good
Pros: The views from the villa patio are incredible, didnt want to leave this place.
Cons: Absolutely no phone reception, wifi was pretty slow. Its great for disconnecting but we were expecting to be in touch with the world and driving 10 minutes just to get internet was a bummer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms and outdoor areas Great views Friendly and helpful staff Situated out of the main part of town so nice and quiet.

Pros: The Hidden Bali Inn located in downtown Ubud was definitely a highlight. Located just a short distance from the "shopping area", entering the Inn was coming into a quiet, peaceful, energizing place every time. Breakfast was included and each day Kunang gave us choices with a Balinese Treat to try. Our host Wayan and Kunang provide eyes and stories into the Balinese culture. A group of 5 of us were there for 6 days. Wayan offered tours, picked us up at the Denpasar Airport, regaled us with the history of Bali, recommended sights to see and drove us to various destinations answering so many questions each day. On leaving we felt we had gained friends not just business hosts. Would we go back, unequivocally yes. Absolutely consider staying here when you are in Ubud.
Cons: Probably having to leave this place.
7,5 Good
Pros: - the pool was awesome - so was the bathroom - right next to the beach - staff was friendly Overall you won't regret coming here but there are improvement points
Cons: - overall, everything feels old and used, the furniture, the surroundings, cups and plates - it was clean, but could be cleaner - the breakfast was kinda meager and simple
7,5 Good
Pros: Directly on a sandy snorkeling beach, lovely and lush garden, nice pool.
Cons: The rooms are a bit dark and lack atmosphere and charm. The hotel is far from the center.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious property with beautiful gardens and pool area. Not too crowded.
Cons: Not enough day beds for out the front near beach or poolside. Even some Under trees in the garden would be helpful. Not enough for all the guests staying there.
6,7 Good
Pros: The best bit about the hotel is that it is right next to the sea. If you turn right out of the beach side of the hotel and walk about 10 minutes to the end curve of the bay there is some decent snorkelling to be had. Similarly you can hire a boat and guide from the stand hiring out snorkelling gear by the hotel’s beach entrance and it’s a quick journey to some lovely snorkelling spots such as the underwater temple. Nice outside bathroom and comfy beds.
Cons: Food in the restaurant was overpriced and not great. The swimming pool was freezing (although this might be a Bali thing, it was freezing at another hotel we stayed at). It’s advertised as a spa but there is no spa, there just happens to be women offering massages on the beach directly outside the hotel. Decor was sparse in the villas too.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very lovely resort right on the beach. Good snorkeling and Lipah is a low key and lovely part of Amed.
Cons: Smoking and smokers. Garden, lawns and pot plants littered with cigarette butts. Smoking in the restaurant takes away from the food. I wonder if the smokers behave this way at home? I felt sorry for the effort the gardeners and staff put in, only to have people not bother to ask for an ashtray or clean up after themselves.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast, great location directly in front of Lipah beach with beautiful corals, super comfy bed, bathroom with lovely shower underneath the sky, nice pool and friendly, helpful staff. Shop on-site with cute, affordable souvenirs.
Cons: Internet unstable. A bit expensive for Bali-standards. Still recommended, if you have the pennies ;)
6,7 Good
Pros: Nice grounds
Cons: Very poor breakfast hardly any food and what was there was disgusting
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is great. We had a wonderful cottage close to the swimming pool. The bathroom was amazing. So close to nature with stones and free standing big bath. We just loved it. The staff is sooo friendly. We could not ask for better place to stay in Amed. It is almost on the beach btw:)
Cons: The food is not the best quality- as for Bali.

Pros: This hotel is such a nice place to relax and chill! The hotel staff was super nice and we had a wonderful time there. The view is stunning! The food was delicious! We would definitely come back if we visit Amed again! Thank you!
7,9 Good
Pros: The view... Amazing. The staff fantastic. The peace and serenity.
Cons: No fridge in rooms and a fair walking distance to warungs etc.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had the best time staying here. we came with a family of 10 taking up 5 rooms we were made very welcome. From the wonderful staff June especially, food, our room with a view, pool and well groomed gardens. Thank you. We didn’t want to go home. We will return one day.
Cons: Really need coffee & tea making facilities for the early rises even if you had a coffee station set up in restaurant. Luckily we read someone else’s review and brought our own.
7,1 Good
Pros: The location is amazing and the room was confortable. I liked the king size bed.
Cons: The stairs were very dangerous for kids. We didn’t receive any welcome, just the keys without explanations...we had to ask and they were very responsive. It is missing charm and nice decoration but the view is literally unforgettable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Love the beach right infront WaWaWeWe, plenty of corals and species of fishes, u can even see the corals in a very shallow place, but please remember don’t step/kick the coral, they are really beautiful. And also thanks to the staff especially June, he helps a lot on arranging things such as transportation, snorkeling equipment. The staff are all very kind and polite, they made my stay so comfortable!
Cons: No hot water for shower, but not a big deal
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff carefull about you and very nice. Helping you about everythings with the best opportunities. Big thank you to June. Room nice and causy, big bathroom with hot water. Amazing swiming pool, can feel like on the sea. Daily clean. Very good food (fish and others). Near very nice spots of snorckling.
Cons: Nothing, everythings are perfect.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really good . Especially guy in charge June did what ever they could to make us happy. Gave special local meal to my partner which was really appreciated. Coral out front of hotel quite good comparable or better than more popular spots. View from dining area very nice. A.c. worked well.
Cons: When we arrived we were told we could have one of the better rooms for two nights then would have to shift to a lesser room. Unsure if the price we paid was for a better room or not. Pricing unclear in translating it from website to the actual place. The room we got turned out to be quieter which suited us. Room behind to beach front units.noise from abutting two units transfers easily to this room.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Air conditioning not very good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the villa was just stunning, the staff very friendly. The villa was clean and like a little slice of paradise. Definitely recommend the waterfront villa.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The villas and the property are very good. Reasonable prices at the restaurant in front of the beach
Cons: Service didn’t really pay attention to requests and most of all horrible and continuous harassment at the beach by the massage girls and the fishermen (who offer boat tours, but are more dishonest persons and of good advices... absolutely to avoid). In general it turns the place into an inconfortable place, you want to escape.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place right on the beach. Restaurant food excellent- fruit plate in morning, iced coconut coffee delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice villa, swimming pool and garden beautiful, restaurant amazing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view, access to snorkeling out the front of property, the staff, the pool, the food.
Cons: Mosquitoes! Staff provided everything in combat, 4 post bed mosquito nets, electric bug scents, but still mosquitoes devoured us one night out of 4.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location on one of the quieter beaches in Amed. Immaculate grounds. Bungalow was perfect size for our family of 3. Great snorkeling right off the beach with turtle sightings too. Watched the sunrise from our balcony and from the beach below, stunning. Restaurant was very nice too, good options for my picky daughter, superb grilled mahi and lots of nice veg options. We’d love to come back.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Villas for 4 people are big and excellent Restaurant over lunch and dinner serves nice local dishes with a decent quality Super friendly service The set up is authentic and in the middle of the neighbourhood. Not a ghetto isolated from the rest of Bali
Cons: Basic breakfast and the way it is presented. This is OK if you stay for a few days but not really if you stay for a week or longer Pizza in the restaurant has nothing in common with an Italian pizza
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location, in front of the beach. Very good place to relax.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was a fantastic stay with my family (10 people!) for three days! The accommodation was beautiful and very clean, a few steps away from a great swimming pool and the beach where we were able to rent a boat for a fabulous snorkelling trip easily! Right from the beach we snorkelled and saw already lots of different fish, and just a five minutes drive on the boat and you can see turtles! The breakfast was very delicious with lots of different types of food available and we spent most lunches and dinners at the restaurant there too as it has fantastic food and is located directly on the beach...just perfect for a tranquil and peaceful holidays away from the crowds!
Cons: we enjoyed everything!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely resort set in a garden, very laid back & relaxing. The pool is an absolute delight although pretty cold. The bathroom is bigger than the room which was amusing but nice. Loved the balcony & the hammocks. Really didn't miss the TV. Very idyllic village, a few shops on the main road to left and a few to the right of the hotel. We were able to rent snorkels & boats right on the beach of the hotel. We met bleached haired, Kartuth on the beach. He's a fixer, you want snorkeling gear, boat - he's your man. Seek him out. He also took us to a Warung Indah right next to Coral View, on the left beach side. It's a 2 min walk on the beach but also has a separate entrance from the road. Massage ladies wait at the beach and there's also one a few minutes walk away. You can snorkel just off the beach & also dive. Euro divers is also next door. We had a great time with Chris from Euro Divers.
Cons: The towels were not changed for 2 days till I had to walk down to reception and demand they be changed. They don't have an intercom in the bungalows. The breakfast was a let down, just too basic. Bread, home-made jams, fruits, muesli, milk, coffee & eggs cooked to order. They could be a little more inventive and give a little more effort for their guests to have a nice breakfast during their vacation. I think their restaurant is a fail. The service is crappy, most are interns and we had to call them a few times to get their attention on our 1st day. On the last night, we were late getting back, the restaurant had closed but it was only half past 10 at night. The mini-mart had also closed and i had no cigarettes. I asked at the reception if they could help me get a pack or if i could get a ride in one of their motorbikes to go up the hill to look for a store but they were discouraging. i just hoped they would gave a little more effort to help me out but there was none. They have no room service so there's nothing to eat if you get in late after a 3 hour journey from the airport. Yes, 3 hrs. The establishment must look into have some arrangement for late check-ins to have a meal or buy some essentials as the whole village is dead quite by 10:30-11 pm.

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Really good restaurant.
Cons: Expensive place. Not welcoming at all. Service wasn't good, people just doesn't speak english, only few. Don't ask for a nanny for the baby, they ask more than in France ! Room wasn't clean (a lot of dirty traces in the bedroom), and really noisy, just next to the road, except expensive villas ! During our three weeks across Bali (sanur, ubud, amed, gili, lombok), it was the worst places we ever meet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were wonderful and very friendly. The sate at the hotel restaurant was served sizzling over a mini bbq and was delicious. Highly recommended. The garden areas around the bungalows are beautiful.
Cons: The hotel is located in Bunutan village. If you want to go out exploring or eating at other places, I recommend a motorbike or driver as its a bit far to walk anywhere. If you are happy to stay at the hotel, its perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great bungalows - Best food I had in bali so far - very nice staff
7,9 Good
Pros: The rustic huts were absolutely lovely and the pool setting was beautiful with the ocean right there. It’s a small hotel, only a handful of huts which means it wasn’t so busy or too loud. The restaurant food was really delicious and well prepared and the staff were all lovely and friendly.
Cons: We had to change rooms, rooms at back are very dark, some lights weren’t working and there was no breeze in the back so that was quite unpleasant. We were made to pay for an upgrade even though the original room was quite unacceptable given the price. Our opinion, the only rooms worth the price are the 3 ocean front ones.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Eveyrthing was great! Stunning location, the view from our bungalow was beautiful. The pool amazing. It is close to Jemeluk beach (great for sunset) and the beach in front of the hotel is great as well (perfect for sunrise). We appreciated the tea served at 6am in front of our room. The restaurant in the evening was good, breakfast as well
Cons: Stayed only 1 night
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accommodation and great location for Amed
Cons: Be aware there is a bar across the road that cranks really really loud music a couple of nights a week until 11pm. These 2 nights were the first 2 of our 3 night stay. Last night was very peaceful and super enjoyable.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Looks good on photos and the pool.
Cons: Smell of sewage in the restaurant and at the pool. Smell of insecticides in the hut (perhaps against termites). Food, we rather ate at Corner warung outside (better taste, larger portions, lower price).
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Our house was on the back of the hotel area. There was a lot of traffic on that road especialy in the morning. For the rest a perfect place to stay!
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice rooms Very nice garden and pool area Good breakfast Nice staff
Cons: Ask not to be in rooms 7 to 10 because at the back of the hotel and very noisy at night (road and music bar until late !!!) The hotel needs a 5 min drive from the center or other restaurants and it is very expensive !!! 10€ back and forth !!!! The hotel should give at least a free shuttle back and forth once a day for his price !
7,5 Good
Pros: very good

Pros: 1. Location was superb. 2. I got room with nice view. 3. Staff is generous. 4. Value for money.
Cons: 1. Balcony door unable to lock. 2. Bathroom door not close properly, so i need to put paper to make it close perfectly. 3. Pros: Lovely family who will help with anything! Excellent breakfast, each room had wonderful ocean views, clean, 1 minutes walk to a rocky beach - doesn't seem like much but the snorkeling was perfect away from anyone else.
Cons: small drainage problem in shower should get fixed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view is unreal
7,9 Good
Pros: The bungalow and the terrasse with the view on the sea. It was clean even if the sanitary need to be refreshed.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit light : 1 toast and a half with a little bit of scrambled egg (we also tried the pancake, just 1 thin, and also the fruit salad which was just 3 slices of pineapple and some pieces of watermelon) + 1 drink : 1 coffee or 1 tea or 1 juice which was cut with water.

Pros: Big place, awesome view to the sea. Loved it.

Pros: Small property with lovely pool area.
Cons: We upgraded to a superior room as the standard rooms were a bit tired.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was really nice. There is a pool but not much people was using it so we were using it almost privately.
Cons: Food was ok but not super yummy. I believe it was mostly frozen.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The Food was good, staff great, pool great, gardens lovely.
Cons: Would have liked a fan in the room instead of aircon all night. You had to walk through the shower area to get to the toilet so your feet would get wet if you had already had a shower. Not enough English channels on tv. Bedside lights were not bright enough to read in bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - pool area - beachfront property - quiet location (still some supermarkets and restaurants closeby)
Cons: - There is no curtain/glass/... between the toilet and shower, so everything gets wet after taking a shower - We asked the staff about boat transfers to Gili for the next day and had been told that the boats are fully booked. Turned out there were still tickets available when we just booked it online...a bit weird
7,1 Good
Pros: The view the swimming pool and the beach access
Cons: The bed is noisy. And I booked 2 massages with the lobby for 180000rp/per then I saw 2 lovely woman from the village who didn't know what is massage and relaxing. I cancel one and accept to pay for the other but it was so terrible! I can't imagine how much they were paid by the lobby.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay, peaceful, quiet, nicely kept gardens and beautiful rooms, right on the water, great views and nice pool and restaurant
Cons: It doesn’t have a massage spa which we think is a mistake, we spent 2.5million rupiah at another resort as we like massages every day
9,2 Excellent
Pros: All the staff is great Beds are very comfortable and rooms far away from the restaurant and the swimming pool, which means no noice on the morning (great!) Very nice garden The swimming pool is nice with a nice view on the beach Little snooker available for good time with friends Books also available in different languages, pretty cool when you don’t have anything to read
Cons: Nothing

Cons: -Breakfast was very poor in quantity and quality -Towels & duvette had dirts, it didn’t feel so clean -A lot of mosquitos in the room -Everytime we pay with credit card ( restaurant or room rate) 3% fee is added to the total amount without mentioning it in advance

Pros: Good location. Clean and neat room with a fantastic view. No complaints about the room, good value
Cons: Quite unfortunate that the owner's wife attempted to scam us by telling us that the fastboat to Gili Islands was cancelled and proceeded to try to sell us a more expensive ticket in another town (which we were already aware is a common scam in Amed), to give the taxi driver who hangs out at the establishment a job. After we turned her offer down, she let the driver come up to our room, who continued to attempt to get our business. If that hadn't happened, I would've been quite happy with the place

Pros: Air conditioning worked and food at the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The bedding was dirty. One of the pillows was so mouldy that it looked dangerous. The snorkeling gear wasn’t worth hiring, they were mismatched, in poor condition and cost more than I expected they would.

Pros: Fantastic view from the superior room. Good location. Friendly staff
4,6 Okay
Pros: We booked for sea facing room and we got the sea facing one only.
Cons: I have already pre booked the room, when I wen there the room was full, they asked me to stay in the next hotel. In the next hotel, the view was amazing, but There was no water in wash basin also the sea view window had no lock so we got it temporary fixed. There was no fan in the room and AC was not working properly. The room was not cooling. Also the towel and soap should be available before we come. When we asked in the night, at that time they made available. We wsre upset that, although the room was pre booked they should have not asked us to go in next door hotel. Also there should be more option in food for vegetarian

Pros: The ocean view was so stunning. We got a sunrise view right on the balcony. Definitely, will come back again.
Cons: We booked for a room with ocean view, but the staff gave us the room with garden view. But, it's okay, we ended up staying in a room with best ocean view. And for the breakfast, I ordered orange juice but it tasted more like garlic juice.

Pros: We spent one week at Titi Sedana in the Superior Double Room with Sea View. The view from the balcony is amazing especially at sunrise . The room was everything we expected - it had great aircon and the bathroom had good hot water which is a plus after days of snorkeling/diving. The family and staff are all super nice and do a great job. The included breakfast was also great to start the day and they also have great dinners which you enjoy out on your balcony, the son is great chef :) . The beach is only a few minutes walk and there is some great snorkeling that does not get overly crowded. You will need a scooter to visit the more popular Jemeluk Bay or Lipah Beach which is roughly a 5-10 minute scooter ride away, you can rent scooter and make bookings for all activities from the owners. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet and central location between the both the main sections of Amed.
Cons: The bathroom is open air which we prefer, however you may hear the neighbors sometimes, we only had 1 night with noisy neighbors which is pretty good in bali.

Pros: I stayed for three nights. The breakfast ( included in the price) was small but delicious. The staff was always very nice. The room was totally alright for that price. Nothing fancy but who would expect that for that price. There was an ocean view, but not how seen in the pictures ( the view was obstructed by the building in front of my room). All in all I was satisfied staying at titi sedana homestay.

Pros: First of all, this is truly one of the cheapest private room you will find in Amed. The hosts are lovely and friendly. The breakfast is very very simple but tasty. The cleanliness of the room is top notch. The location is on the hill and the room is far away from the road, so you will definitely have peace and quiet. You will need to climb quite a few steps up a narrow stairwell. The sea breeze makes it way into the room and so there is great ventilation if you keep the doors open. There is hot water for the shower.
Cons: Although it is the cheapest room, they can do a lot better in terms of maintaining the room. What you are not told when you book is that it is a fan room, and you have to pay extra for AC. It gets really hot in the morning and afternoon as the sun rises directly in front of the room. In the night, if you leave the door opened slightly, you won't have any problems with ventilation. Since it's dry season, there wasn't many mozzies, but I reckon it'd be a bother during rainy season. The other thing you will not be told is that the view of the room is 80% blocked by the roof of the room infront. Which personally wasn't a big deal but for those looking for a seaview, you'll only get to see the blue ocean from the sides of the roof blocking you. As for the room itself, it is really old and outdated and needs some care. A fresh coat of paint, removing old termite nests, replacing/removing grit off the showerhead so you'll get a decent stream of water, repairing the sliders for the front doors so it does not bang around One of the easiest to take care of, is screwing the toilet properly into the floor. It moves and that's not great. It's not something anybody wants when they sit upon a toilet. The furniture in the room looks like it has seen better days, there is no lock on the cupboard doors and the backing of the cupboard is falling apart. The pillows are alright, but one smelled weird. Maybe an extra case will do the trick? The outdoor lounger could do with a new cover as well. Please put in a little bit more effort in maintaining your rooms, it can be a lot more pleasant instead of passing it off as just one of the cheapest room. I am sure taking care of these issues will help your business.
