Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Definitely over the average for the standard The staff was particularly kind, friendly, professional. Over the average for the standard
Cons: Toilets not very clean with a continuous uncomfortable smell
4,6 Okay
Pros: The physical property and location were attractive.
Cons: The air conditioning did not cool the room. Only had one power outlet which worked sporadically. The hair dryer didn’t work. Makeup mirror was too high and too far.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, especially Pauline, made us feel very welcome from the onset. Great room with all mod cons. Hotel ideal position for ‘ old Lyon’

7,7 Good
Pros: The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience
Cons: The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location and facilities
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A hotel that offers really good appetizers, drinks and coffees at no extra charge is a fantastic idea. Great service. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Everything
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful. The location was good. Even in the rain we walked everywhere.
Cons: Who ever designed the bathroom should have their head examined. Basically it is a glass room with ribs. There are photos of it. But even when I am with my wife of 34-years, I want some privacy. You can see and hear everything (I mean everything). I am into post modernist design, but some practicality, please. Even the bathroom door was difficult to close from the inside. It was just weird and annoying.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Modem thinking hotel
Cons: Staff. Central
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons: The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff.
Cons: strange perfume smell to the room.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Being able to live in a 16th century building, in the midst of a 16th century neighborhood, with modern creature comforts
Cons: Not enough light in the room and no place in the room to sit and read. There wasn’t even one decent chair.. The bathroom was poorly designed. There was lots of room for a separate shower and two sinks but instead they installed a needlessly large tub and then surrounded it a tiled box.great place to experience lyon
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a maze formed by four ancient buildings--the bar dates to 1341!!!--and its location in the heart of Vieux Lyon was fantastic. It was such a pleasure to stay here! The property is beautifully maintained and stylish. Our room was great. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever found. Truly! The staff deserves extra praise--helpful, cheerful, friendly, approachable, knowledgable, they were an exceptional team. Our meal at the one-star restaurant was a treat; the enthusiasm of the servers for the food and wine was infectious. It all exceeded expectation.
Cons: The first room offered us had the bathtub right in middle of the room rather than in a separate room. That was unacceptable to me; and they quickly and cheerfully found us another room when I protested. But if you decide to stay at Cour des Loges--and I highly recommend that you do!-- be warned!
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location and breakfast

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are fantastic, from front door to service. Breakfast was very good, and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The only criticism that I have is that the lighting in the room was poor.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: My room was so beautiful, very spacious (for Europe), loved the bath and view. The building was so old world French. The Concierge was particularly helpful with my transportation to Paris, after being made aware of a train strike on the Friday morning. Breakfast was also very good.
Cons: Nothing, everything was fantastic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Service was Exceptional Unreal Restaurant Romantic Great bar and Lounge English a non-issue (if you don't speak French) Very Comfortable
Cons: Room was a bit small and shower/tub was quirky but to be expected being used to American Hotels.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: A great location and friendly staff, location in a lively neighborhood with plenty of options to eat, yet on a quite street
Cons: The value for the price is excellent, cannot fault anything
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall, our experience was pleasant! I loved the vibe of this place and all "flaws" that I mentioned do not cancel my overall feeling about the trip. There was a coffee/tea machine in the room, very stylish interior and the nicest service. Beds were comfortable, on the softer side. Hotel is close to Massena metro station (3 min walk at best) and located in very calm area, not noisy at all. 5 min distance from Park (with the zoo and botanical garden, free to walk around). There is a elevator, however, during our stay it was out of service. Breakfast was very simple yet delicious.
Cons: Unfortunately, no space to unpack your clothes, besides 3-4 hangers. There was a very intensive and "perfumey" scent after cleaning - sadly we both could not stand it, gladly we could open a window. Even without air condition air was very drying and harsh on your throat. There is no fridge in the room. Moreover, I do not recommend it for travelling with coworkers - door to the bathroom is made out of very thin glass which can make your stay a little awkward. In my opinion the room was too small for people that aren't couple or at least close friends.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel's decor is absolutely lovely! They had great coffee/tea facilities, in both the room and the lobby, which also afforded a nice view of the street. It was quiet and pleasant there in the evenings, so some of our party would head down for an hour or so to read while drinking coffee and people-watching through the big window. The staff were very helpful, warm and friendly. :) The hotel is very close to the train station Gare Part-Dieu and to a large Monoprix. To get to Vieux Lyon and Presqu'ile, you can walk for about twenty minutes or also take the metro a couple stops over.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff gave special attention to my daughter which was lovely. We had a perfect eveneing thanks to their tips where to go and eat out with kids. We loved our stau!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is near to the train station and to the metro, but the place is really quiet. There are many nice restaurants and bars around. The room was clean and beautiful.
7,5 Good
Pros: Clean and efficient
Cons: Very small room
6,7 Good
Cons: Nicely renovated rooms - very small and simple though! But the room price gave no reason. Far too expensive for a 3 star hotel - the price reflects normally 5 star hotels in London, Paris etc... Breakfast - No value for money - only few choices and very small restaurant, more crowded cafe style. Skip the hotel breakfast and walk for 2 minutes to cafes on the same street.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a very short stay and the apartment was very well appointed and clean. The hosts very accommodating. Only downfall was no fan/air conditioning (which we are used to for sleeping). Close to Metro and nice selection of Restaurants.
Cons: N/A
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious & well equipped
Cons: No air conditioning but we knew this & is a minor point
7,5 Good
Pros: Every thing else. Tastefully decorated, clean all needed facilities for a short stay. Bath is amazing.
Cons: The apartment is open to owners who are running and living on upper floor, so there is a privacy issue. Once you park the car in the underground parking you can't take it out before departure which restricts movement.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is an apartment in a building some distance out of the center, but right next to a metro station that brings you to Bellecour square in a couple of minutes, so location is convenient and yet quiet. The apartment itself is very fancy with a luxury spa tub, a nice terrace and large rooms. Lots of nice stuff like coffee machine and courtesy juice, water, sweets and pastries. Breakfast was also very nice, served on the rooftop terrace which you can reach from within the apartment by stairs. Owners were super nice and friendly. They speak enough English to explain everything that is needed, and are very helpful! Finally, very good value!
Cons: This apartment doesn’t have A/C. I stayed during an extreme heat wave (temps over 38C) and it was still fine, but if you are very sensitive to heat and plan to visit during summer, you would be aware. Most similar places in Lyon don’t have A/C ... (they do have heating).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. Good location, 5 min away from metro. The rooms are clean. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcome. They are very helpful and can speak English. Excellent breakfast. Merci beaucoup.
Cons: -- a very minor thing: the bathroom water tap is a bit ... different. Is difficult to wash your hands under the water jet (probably was suppose to let the water in the sink and wash that way…but didn’t felt like doing that)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The couple that run this apartment rental are so kind and lovely. Our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving really late and they still gave us a warm welcome so we immediately felt at home. The apartment itself is beautiful, there is a jacuzzi and lovely terrace. The bed was comfortable, shower worked great, it was spotlessly clean. I really can't fault it at all. The location was great, even though it's outside the centre the metro is a two minute walk away. They provide lots of information about places to visit in Lyon. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. I would absolutely recommend you stay here, our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were friendly and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the breakfast, the location, the place to store your bike
Cons: Honestly the only thing I didn't like (and it's the same in every hostel) is the fact that some customers are super loud in the dorms. But it's not the fault of the hostel obviously. Please if you're staying in a hostel stfu when you're in the dorms
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It is a quiet, clean, cozy and eco-driven hostel. Super recommendable, especially if you are traveling with friends. The personal was very kind and helpful, and they have all kind of tips about the city.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: The room smelled like cheese and it was cold during the night. They don't even give you a blanket. You need to ask for it. Showers on the side of the hostel. You need to go through reception and lobby to get a shower.

Pros: Wonderful modern building.
Cons: The location was awful.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facility in every detail but the pillows were too soft for our liking. Location off the beaten track but off-set by the funicular which gave easy access to the Old Town which was as lively as we needed. A nice walk across the rivers to the modern shopping area's A wonderful restaurant adjoins the hotel for an exceptional dinner.
Cons: Soft pillows! Brillant beds though. Suggestion: A Nespresso Coffee machine in the room would have been nice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Welcome drink was a nice touch. Concierge was extremely helpful. Lovely large room that was quiet
Cons: Shower could be improved
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We needed to extend our trip by an additional night, so when we checked in the hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of Lyon. We could even see the snow covered Alps many miles away. We had a beautiful terrace as well. The European breakfast is really great too. If business brought us back to Lyon, we'd request the same room.
Cons: Like many hotels in Europe, this hotel doesn't have a top sheet on the bed. So in order to sleep covered you needed to use the comforter which I personally found this too warm. Just personal preference.

Cons: Room seemed bigger in pictures.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't get to stay in the room much, because we were there to see Lyon, but it was just fantastic. Actually now that I think of it, it was the nicest part of the trip. Very helpful friendly staff, very clean and elegant hotel, great bathroom, very comfortable. We chose the breakfast option which was very good buffet with good options for all. I greatly recommend

Pros: Superb small hotel. Unbeatable location. Charming, willing staff.
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, great location
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was first rate and the staff helpful (apart from the problem above) and friendly.
Cons: The one time I wanted room service - at approx 4pm - only 2 of the 8 items listed on the snack menu were available and neither of these were any good for me. The menu is supposedly available from noon till midnight. There was no satisfactory explanation. It was pouring with rain and very cold at the time, so nipping out for a snack wasn't a good idea.

Cons: Had a problem with the toilet flush. The staff attended to it promptly.

Pros: Central
Cons: Tiny room so small there was a table along the bed so one of us couldn’t get into bed. There was meant to be a bath but only a shower with dangerously slippery floor. Tiny wardrobe. One chair. No parking. Public park 26€ per day.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms could do with updating. We were on the 5th floor and found the room a bit tired and dated.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Hotel staff was great!
Cons: Run down, dirty room with worn furniture, mildew in shower. Not at all up to Sofitel standards
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding dinner at les trois domes. We made a special request for the room and received exactly what we requested.
Cons: The shower was the best we have ever had anywhere in Europe. But it was really really dark, no way to light it except one tiny light bulb. Thought this was strange for a hotel that is otherwise over the top.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and great room.
Cons: We had dinner in their Silk Brasserie one night and the service was terrible. The waiter seemed to forget about us and brought out a completely wrong dish for one of us. Then when we did receive the correct dish, it was obvious that it was rushed and didn’t taste good at all.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is great. Bed is very comfortable. View at the 8th floor is great.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! The room was nice and quiet, and also very clean. We appreciated that. The staff speaks very good English. All in all good value for the money.
Cons: The toilet in our room was a bit weird. We liked that it was separate from the bathroom, but it was behind the sliding door that seemed more like a paper door. Otherwise, everything else was great.
