    Location

First room had extensive mold in bathroom. Bed linen was old and worn, hallways smelled of dampness. I have pixs which night manager was not interested in seeing and was VERY RUDE! No living person should have been put there!! Next room was ok. Breakfast was very limited and crowded and noisy. U had to pay extra £5 for eggs and bacon, usually cold. We were told hotel chain was biggest in Europe and I’ll add WORSE in Europe. Will never book hotel on internet again because I had no recourse to get my money back!!! I will only call hotel directly and pay AFTER my stay , so if I’m not happy I can go elsewhere. PS, hotel dining room resembled “Grade school cafeteria, hall pass was issued that you had to show to get in”

    Avoid the breakfast

The price was good. It's close to the train station.

Avoid the breakfast at all cost! It's not worth it at all: bad coffee, terrible toast, lack of any pastry, and you have to pay extra for scramble eggs. The location is not good neither to take the tube.

    I don't recommend at all

The only thing i liked about it, it is close to Russel square underground station

Stuff unfriendly, rooms are unclean with bad view and some electric power sources are not working, WiFi is not available in the rooms and i have to go down to restaurant to get a signal. Breakfast was of very low quality

The price is good and is close to the subway station and near many important places

There is not internet and the doors make a lot of noice when they get closed.

FAQs when booking at The Royal National Hotel

What are my options for breakfast while staying at The Royal National Hotel?
Two of The Royal National Hotel’s food concessions are open early in the morning and serve breakfast items. Blooms Pizza Café is open from 7:30 am and offers a breakfast menu which includes breakfast specials for those looking to have a hot drink with their food. Alternatively, head to The Coffee Place which is open from 7:00 am every day and serves hot drinks with pastries and snacks, both sweet and savory.
How can I get from London Heathrow Airport to The Royal National Hotel?
If you are looking to take public transport to get to your accommodation from the airport, the most convenient way is to use the Tube. Head to the Hatton Cross Station which is located at the airport and get on the Piccadilly line heading in the direction of Cockfosters. Get off 22 stops later at the Russell Square Station, and The Royal National Hotel will be a 5m walk from there. If you prefer to take a taxi, the trip will take around 40m with a one-way fare costing around £50 (about $64).
What are some of the excursions I can join while staying at The Royal National Hotel?
The Royal National Hotel has teamed up with a local tour operator to enable its guests to make the most of their stay by exploring London and its surroundings with a dedicated guide. All the tours depart from the hotel itself, and you will be able to choose from a selection of day excursions such as the London Full Day Tour, the Lake District & Tea tour, you can visit the Leeds Castle or the Enchanting Cotswold, or you can check out the famous Stonehenge and Bath.
How can I check in early or check out late while staying at The Royal National Hotel?
If your flight arrives early and you would like to access your room before the regular check in time, the only way to guarantee this service is by booking the room for the previous night. However, please note that The Royal National Hotel will be happy to accommodate your request at no extra charge if you arrive early and your room happens to be ready. A late check out is also possible for an extra fee depending on room availability. If you plan on leaving prior to 6:00 pm you will be paying half of the room’s rate, and if you would like to stay later than that you will be paying for a full extra night.
What are the fees involved if I want to store my luggage at The Royal National Hotel?
The Royal National Hotel will be happy to store your luggage on the day of your check in at no extra charge, and on the day of departure for a fee of £0.5 (about $0.7) per bag.
