Cons: Rate could be much cheaper. Breakfast could have more choises. The rest is perfect. Nothing i could write here.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A great hip hotel in Rotterdam and right off the train exit. Very modern and has some fun and creative lights and set up. The bed was super comfortable and very big. The space was a little snug due to the bed being so large. We stayed for one night and the staff was super accommodating when my husband got sick. The location is perfect and in a great area to wonder and explore.
Cons: Everything was really amazing but the room was a bit tight for the two of us. Since the bed was so amazingly large and comfortable it was not really an issue. Just wondering if they have bigger rooms then the one we where in.

Overview Reviews
Many of Mainport’s sleek rooms offer facilities usually reserved for hotel spas, such as oversized hot tubs or private Finnish saunas. Regardless of which room guests choose, the informal eighth-floor Spa Heaven will be waiting, complete with its sultry Turkish steam room and rejuvenating hammam complex. Wide glass windows wrap around the waterfront building, allowing guests to see and feel the vibrancy of the inner harbor. Designer Feran Thomassen created the five-star interiors that make subtle nods to far-flung places, without forgetting that Rotterdam is the hotel’s ‘main’ port. In the quayside Down Under restaurant, for example, chefs offer a culinary world tour with a menu that includes everything from Argentinian steaks to Japanese sashimi. Add butler service, 600 square meters of flexible meeting space and a gold sustainability certification from Green Key, and you have a hotel worthy of its location in Europe’s largest port.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are welcoming and friendly. The lifts are impressively quick and even though we stayed at the top floor (10th) we never had to wait too long for it. The ice dispenser in the corridor was useful and nice to have access to. The room facilities were as described, decent size jacuzzi and a well functioning sauna, comfortable large bed and pillows, big tv and amazing views. A lovely surprise was waiting for us, balloons and a tray of sweets, as it was my birthday.
Cons: The hotel's sign is not visible. There was a motion detector in the bathroom for the light that turned off every second. Too many products for sale in the room with no prices indicated. Even though the whole sum was paid in advance, an additional 150euro were required as a deposit. At checkout, we had to wait an additional 5 minutes for our room and the products to be checked. Eventually, we got our deposit back though. The breakfast host was mostly absent. Even though champagne is included in the breakfast, no one is there to serve it and it is located outside the main breakfast area. The decor did not reflect that of a 5* hotel.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was good and with nice facilities
Cons: The breakfast was not varied properly also no labels on the food
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice
Cons: The staff service was very basic
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the Mainport Design Hotel in Rotterdam is a thoughtful, and comfortable design experience. From it's location overlooking the historic harbor and adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge to position next to the Tram transit stop...is a well connected position in Rotterdam. My room was very comfortable and a high-design style. Service was excellent throughout, not stuffy or pretentious, but well mannered and accessible. Some 5-star hotels trying too hard to be exceptional, making the visitor feel like it's a privilege just being a guest. But I felt that the hotel and staff really are proud of their facility and are eager to share the good vibe with their clients.
Cons: Only getting to stay two nights.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Butler was genuine in his concern that we pass a good time in the hotel. Everything was super clean, great location.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: We had to change room late in the night as we discovered a wet stain on the mattress when we were going to sleep already. No fun packing your stuff when almost falling asleep. We were offered an upgraded room with a better view.. but it still wasn't a 5 star experience by far. Other than that hotel was good.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, size of rooms
Cons: Over decorated, bit to dark
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is nice.
Cons: Breakfast is expensive
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room even better than I thought it would be and to have the pool, gym ,steam rooms etc on the same floor was great too Breakfast was very good in the morning
Cons: Only having the one night there
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Position
Cons: Being charged for the first bottle of water in the bedroom. It was taken off the bill

7,1 Good
Pros: Beautiful historical building close to the sea front. Very interesting history and room design.
Cons: There are a lot of renovations going on that left the entrance and passage ways to our rooms very untidy and unattractive. We were not aware of this at the time we reserved the room. I do trust that when the renovations are completed that the hotel will proved the ambiance that it creates on the booking platforms.

Cons: party location, thus very loud
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very friendly, clean environment, the most i like will be the shared kitchen, is 24 hours
Cons: As i stay in dorm, some of the guest are noisy although is at midnight. Some of the guest asked then to keep silent but they keep making noisy.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The beds, the quiteness of the rooms. The breakfast is ok and not to expensive (7,50EUR).
Cons: My bed was missing one curtain and the staff didn't bother to fix it. There was a broken locker in our room and the girl had to keep her stuff in the bedroom floor. Also, i brought a padlock with me but the locker lock was so thick that you need to have a really big padlock to work. They do this on purpose to sell you a padlock for 5 eur.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere was great, the beds were SUPER COMFY, and the curtains were so nice it was like having a private room, the double bed was simply so nice to have after so many nights of single bed hostels which were not so nice. The breakfast was great and the kitchen well equipped. A bar downstairs if you want a drink or order a meal. Movie lounge for hostel guests and great decorations.
Cons: The only minus I’d say was that I stayed in a 6 bed Female dorm and there was only 1 shower and toilet (in the same room) meaning I had to wait in the morning while some girls were washing their hair and stuff. In the corridor there was only 1 toilet which didn’t even have a sink where I could wash my hands! Would need at least 2 showers/toilets for a room that size I think.
7,1 Good
Pros: The breakfast, room and staff were very nice.
Cons: The location is extremely noisy for what we could not sleep with club music next to us up til latzr than 2 am.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, Felipe helped me a lot giving helpful tips about the city and connecting me with other solo travellers in the hostel!! the facilities are very clean and the decorations is very cool The location couldn't be better as is walk distance from city centre.

Pros: Staff, room comfort and location. Couldn't have hoped for better. Once I'd got my bearings it was so easy to get around on foot. Lovely big bathroom and bath robe. Plenty of pillows and big cushions. The reception staff were super helpful and housekeeping very obliging too. Plenty of choice at breakfast - there was even a sign in Reception so you could see when the breakfast room us busiest and quiet. Never seen that before at a hotel - great idea.
Cons: All fantastic, would stay again, without question. From the moment of arrival until departure a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The position is perfect, close to all major Rotterdam attractions. Bedrooms are nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. Fresh orange juice for breakfast is a plus.
Cons: Noisy position (due to night life in the night and to the tram during the day). Breakfast was average and breakfast room always crowded. Common areas need a restyling (they are quite outdated).

Pros: I liked how friendly the staff were and always willing to help. It's a walking distance to rotterdam central
5,8 Okay
Cons: There s no place to stay like a living room to chill and drink or eat your food only a bar where you have to buy your drink. Small kitchen closes at 11pm so don't be hungry after a party. It's is not possib to chill in the kitchen neither.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed in three different places in Rotterdam. A place cheaper than this and cityhub. This is the best overall. Breakfast was good. All the types of jams you want, Fruit,Coffee,Tea, chocolate milk. Staff is very friend and understanding of situations, rooms (I stayed in 3) where all unique and clean. They also give free earplugs. There’s plenty of bathrooms to pick from. Location is great. 5 min from het park and 7 from the bridge. To get to the market you get to walk by a beautiful area so it passes by super quickly. I’d say maybe 15 minutes? And shopping is probably also 10 minutes. Food is well priced but there’s also the cheapest supermarket around 2 blocks away for you to get whatever you want and use their kitchen. Honestly excellent.
Cons: Saturday there’s a lounge three “stores” down so yes there’s a TAD of noise but basically none. That’s literally my only critique. This place is really good.
2,9 Mediocre
Cons: The breakfast was really bad, only some bread with spreads. It was not vrey clean, some of the plates were still dirty. At the 3rd floor there are only 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is very old and not that useful. The place for baggage is really small and if you want it secured you have to pay, you also have to pay for a towel or laundry. Definitely not value for money. There is no ligt at the property.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, good size room. Quiet location.
Cons: The bed gave me a terrible back ache. And no tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Cons: Nothing, it was great
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It was pretty cool was that while many hotels in Europe have thin walls or you can hear everyone in the hallway, but at this hotel we never heard a peep anywhere else. Slept great! Good location, friendly staff, clean.

Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great kitchen chief; breakfast was nice - which it had to be for euro 17.50, so was dinner.
Cons: Was not really aware of the location of the interior rooms, i.e. rooms without a window, which made it the most expensive room without daylight I ever booked.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fun to stay on the ship. The breakfast was amazing!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The ship
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The opening sentence "Welcome on board" It was the real thing despite the fact the boat wasn't going anywhere. The interior is amazing, staff friendly and the food & beverages are good. Especially the local beers.
Cons: A pity we could not open the portholes of the hotel room. It was pretty warm and the air system could not get it cool enough. We were informed that they are modifying the portholes so they can be opened again.
6,7 Good
Pros: We went on a nice boat trip around the harbor. Room was nice and clean and staff were OK.
Cons: Very expensive food, if you don't go into the town you have no choice but to eat on ship but so expensive. Very disappointed that I had to pay extra to view the ship and it wasn't included in the price of the room, this needs to be clear as you would assume you would be able to view the ship.
7,7 Good
Pros: The main deck was nice to grab a drink from downstairs bar and take it to the deck
Cons: They should accommodate late check out, one staff told i can and when I asked for late check out the other staff from the front desk said that they can’t it was frustrating
9,6 Excellent
Pros: What a facility, making use of a maritime icon to continue to show it off in the style of its era. All staff were extremely helpful and attired to suit the venue. Rooms are as would have been during service, small, comfortable and well equipped.
Cons: Probably the location is a bit of a negative, but there is a transfer service to the metro and an on call water taxi is also available
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Its a good location and property to stay when in Rotterdam. Staff are friendly, the boat is immaculately clean and food excellent. This is our second visit and the only comment I would make is we preferred the superior rooms as they are much larger than the standard room but this time we were booking on price not room size!
Cons: Less plastic - no need for plastic drink stirrers in the restaurant and get rid of the individual plastic toiletries in the rooms, use wall fixed ones that can be refilled, its wasteful.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: Arriving at night is a little unclear where to park and it would be great is you have valet parking. Aircon was struggling to get the room cool. Mirrors in bathroom fog up when showering. Self guided cruise tour at night would be great.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Boat is beautiful on the inside. Water taxi is fun and affordable.
Cons: The cleaning of our accomadations was awful. First day we were there was towel hung up that was completely covered in brown spots and smelled like something very familliar. Okay mistakes happen so i put the obviously very dirty towel on the floor so that room service will take it. To my utter horror the next day when i was taking a shower and grabbed what i thought was a clean towel to dry myself off i grabbed the same old towel from the day before, because i didnt have my glasses on in the shower i didnt see the clearly dirty towel until i smelled it while rubbing on my face. Room service hung up the same filthy towel again. The room we had was way too hot, they said the room was "climate controlled" which means there isnt any air conditioning. There obviously used to be air conditioning because there was a mount where it used to be. Which brings us to problem 3. Where the air conditioning used to be left a big gap where water from outside the boat leaked in. And it leaked on our bed. Im still waiting a month later for an explanation to these horrible accomadations, ive yet to get an answer or an apology.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: It would have been good to have clearer details on how to access SS Rotterdam by public transport from the train station - i.e. either metro and bus 77 or tram (forgotten number) and then water bus. We used the former on the way to the hotel, the latter on the way back - the latter is nicer but we didn't know about it till we got to the boat.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, very good breakfast, spacious room, nice and helpful staff, they had answers to all my questions.
Cons: Thin walls, you can hear your neighbours which might be a problem if you are a light sleeper.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, particularly those on reception. Location quiet and ideal for access to museums and public transport in a city where public transport is exemplary.
Cons: Budget room selected was small but adequate. Barely room for the one chair. Breakfasts did not change so some monotony on a week's stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, 5 minutes walk to metro, 10 minutes walk to central station. And many famous museums around.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location wise is okay with some walking and overall it is not bad for a stay there.
Cons: Friendly staffs and good breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent customer service, comfortable hotel. Felt good staying there
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Room temperature was very low, without posibility to heated up.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very very nice staff. The hotel is small, but clean and tidy. Wifi works perfectly. Good location, close to shopping and restaurants.
6,7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good. The parking space was very nice.
Cons: The room was extremely small. It was difficult to move about.
6,3 Good
Pros: Friendly stuff , garage parking and close to downtown.
Cons: This hotel should not have 3 stars compared to other 3 stars hotels in Benelux. Room was very small and furniture was garage sale quality. This hotel is extremely overpriced.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Terrible service - booked a double room, and then they tried to charge me per person using it. There were 2 beds in the room, and 2 sets of towels, but the receptionist wanted to charge us additional £90 to use the other bed!!? I've never heard of that before - this is a hotel room, not a hostel dormitory! When we refused to pay the additional amount, the receptionist became violent and started to threaten us with physical violence. I am not joking. We were then locked in the reception for 15 minutes (exit door was locked!!). We had wait for someone else to leave the hotel before managing to escape. Do not stay here!!

4,6 Okay
Pros: Only location
Cons: We can’t say it as 5star hotel they should go and see what 4 star mean
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable with a very big room and nice bathroom. Walking distance to airport terminal. Excellent breakfast. Very good. Good gym that I did not have time to use.
Cons: A bit spartan reception.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is the 2-nd time we go to this hotel. We had a business room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a Nespresso Coffee Machine with complimentary coffee pads. Everyday they provided chocolate, chips and flat water. The underground garage is excellent with many parking places. The restaurant was surprisingly good for an airport hotel. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We ate every day 2-3 times at the restaurant. However the main asset of the hotel is the staff. Professional and friendly, with a great sense of humor, they provide a very good service.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good price, location and friendly staff. Although next to airport, it was quiet during the night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Loads of foods and dairy /gluten free food. Great staff and facilities. Check out the bar. Fun Barman and interesting people to meet there!

7,9 Good
Cons: Huge construction nearby
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The area of the hotel, as well as the building itself, are really nice. The room was lovely: spacious, nicely furnished, with huge beautiful windows, and spotlessly clean. The coffee machine was much appreciated. The staff - both reception and housekeeping - were professional and very kind. There is a good supermarket nearby.
Cons: The room would be greatly improved by a minifridge. Also, I find joint single beds to be way less comfortable than a double bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The rain shower was just awesome.
Cons: The amount of IKEA furniture used to decorate the room. No mini bar, After 9pm there was no access to cold drinks/water.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: You can get a tram from Rotterdam central station to the hotel which drops you right outside it. Walking distance to the town centre and the people are lovely. Oh your about 2minutes from the nearest supermarket.
Cons: Ok so the only thing missing is a little fridge and a mirror in the main part of the room but besides that nice hotel lovely spacious room. As for construction site for a view didn't really bother us to be honest. Great lighting into the room. Would stay again definitely.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect! The property was clean and the staff was extremely helpful.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location Nice decorated boutique style hotel Public transport in front of hotel Plenty good restaurants in the area
Cons: No shampoo or soap available (which you might expect for a 125 euro room) Hardly any toilet paper available Top floor room (31) not easy to open the window to get fresh air
7,9 Good
Pros: The front desk agent was as nice as could be. The room was a very nice size. We were only there for one night and it was good for what we needed. The only downside was that there isn't a ton of activity, coffee shops (as in cafes - not the Amsterdam-style "coffee shops" or places to go for breakfast. The good part is that it's an easy walk to the metro and about 10-15 minute walk to more activity, restaurants, shopping, etc. They offer a lovely breakfast buffet for €15.
Cons: It seemed a bit pricey for what it was.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location superb and rooms extremely spacious. Breakfast very good as well.
Cons: Lack of designated parking.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The bed and the room itself was comfortable and clean. There was coffee available inside as well. The receptionist called us up to ask what time we were going to arrive as the reception was closing ahead of the usual time. He was very cheerful and friendly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff, the location, large and comfortable rooms.

Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good staff and overall experience - fully recommned
Cons: the breakfast was a bit chaotic when full restaurant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was awesome
6,5 Good
Pros: It is comfortable enough and reasonably well positioned but it really is just a bit bland and characterless. A hotel probably better set up to appeal to the business community ( to which to be fair I belong) rather than the independent traveller. I like Hilton's but the Hilton up in the Hague is so much better than this one.
7,1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good - as well very nice room service - warm dishes were brought in the warm closet Personnel was professional Very silent air-co was a plus as windows could not open fast elevator
Cons: Difficult parking situation as hotel does not have their own parking - also it is pretty pricey for 30 euro per day. The bed was extra hard and not even on bed springs but on plank of wood which was making sounds when rolling over Extremely slow tv and very limited choice of dutch or english channels. You can feel the bass and hear the sounds of night club even with windows closed. I forgot my credit card at home and expected that it was not an issue as I paid in advance but the receptionist made it seem like it was a disaster and it was a lot of hassle for her to get the deposit of 50 euro (until not sure what was it for as the explanation was not provided) we paid in cash.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is renovated and up to the latest standards of comfort and luxury. It is quiet and soundproofed. Food is excellent.

Pros: Everything.

Pros: Location, staff, and the size of the room
Cons: I found a long hair in the beans at the breakfast

7,9 Good
Cons: No rose petals on the bed! While I thought it would be done. Look if it is not possible, it’s okay. But don’t tell it got done and then it didn’t.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Friendly employees
Cons: The secret minibar price list hidden deeply in the closet. Lots of mosquitoes somehow in our room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Nothing it was great
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, big room, big bathroom
Cons: Need more warm greetings from a staff when we are check in but the rest some other staff very helpful
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff have been really helpful and forthcoming. The breakfast selection was pretty good. The location is quite good.
Cons: The room has a central heating system (not HVAC), and it was not working (not cold enough to power it on). I arrived from the airport on one of those humid days, and some heat in the room would help a lot, both to warm myself up, and to dry my traveling shirt.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location, the view from the room.
Cons: The furniture in the room (and the carpet) looks old and on the stained side
7,9 Good
Pros: The location was perfect! right in the centre of everything. We had 2 rooms booked. The guy who checked us in was really helpful and helped us to move to rooms that were next to each other.
Cons: While the night team were friendly and helpful, the day staff on reception were not. At one point one of them followed me as i was making way way to the fitness room and rudely asked if i was staying there, what my name was and where my card was. then demanded i followed her to the reception desk. I felt interrogated and embarrassed. I wonder if that is how they treat all their guests or only those that look a little "different". I wont be staying their again.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: The rooms really need some upgrading/renovating
6,0 Good
Pros: The location - walking distance to a major shopping area and to most of the major attaractions in Rotterdam -Harbour, Markthal, Erasmus Bridge, etc...
Cons: Rooms are old and outdated, shower was without power. Room was cold. This hotel needs a major facelift. Price does not reflect the facilities. AAlso, it suggests parking is available, the parking is in a public parking which costs 30euro per day, the hotel does give a discount but it is only 3euro a day, so you pay 27. for 3 days it cost me 81 euro
