The friendliness of everyone. They couldn’t do enough for you.
The actual temperature of the room. We were in room 705 and first of all a draft coming from the window. I sorted the heating out but all night the sound of the conditioning which seemed extra noisy all night. The actual room is really lovely but I would definitely not have this room again. The view was of so May roofs and as it was a special occasion thought our view would have been better. I was determined not to let it ruin my very special occasion though.
Breakfast was great, in a beautiful hall with lots of choices and fresh fruits. Location is superb, in the center of London. Beautiful and classy room, very spacious for a junior suite. However we stayed on 7th floor (top floor I think), the rooftop was a bit low.
Lobby is small and it was very crowded when we checked in, it took us very long time waiting for other guests. There are no sufficient sitting places in the lobby so I had to stand while I was waiting. Very expensive for family stay because we stayed in a suite room.
The bedrooms are beautiful and comfortable and beds are luxury, the maids done a very good job in looking after us, the porters are very well mannered and friendly
some of the staff was poor service and never keep there promise to do things for you, waited to long for drinks and i think the food is very over rated and poor value for money, also dress code is not maintain as lots of people in jeans and trainers which lets the hotel down
Food, drink and service were outstanding.
Wait for room and availability to bar in evening. We didn’t know you had to reserve a place in the bar.
The service is impeccable. The hotel is drenched in luxury and history.
