Great location, right in the centre of Llangollen with fab view of the river. My room was nicely decorated, spacious and warm. Very pleasant dining room and breakfast was good. Private parking area that was locked at night.
Some parts of the hotel are still shabby, needing refurbishing.
The view over the River Dee was stunning! A pleasure to wake up to. The staff were lovely and really helpful, and the hotel was clean, well kept and full of charm.
My only comment would be to suggest double glazing for the windows for energy saving purposes.
It was an attractive old and historic hotel. The hotel staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bathroom had been modernised. The bedroom was nicely warm due to a fan heater being provided.
It was a cold day/night and the public areas of the hotel were extremely cold, particularly the dining room and the passageways - all the radiators were turned off. The shower did not work which I did mention in the morning and they were very apologetic.
Only problem was the use of non-fair-trade coffee in the room. Please don't use nestle products!
The location of the hotel was fantastic, the rooms clean and very comfortable and staff excellent
Views and spacious room
No lift!! Lots of stairs to everything. Very slippy bathroom floor
The rooms ver lovely and clean and the staff very accomodating
friendly staff
Some parts need redecoration
Hearing the sound of the river from the bedroom was a real treat.
I felt the bathroom could have been improved by new flooring, the general appearance of the room was good but this one point did spoil the otherall pleasure.
Lovely room overlooking the river.
