Saturday there was a fair going on with lots of stuff to do. Hotel staff was gracious, helpful, polite, room was large and very clean, and comfortable. No complaints.

Pros: We like this hotel a lot, have been here before several times, and will come again. It is perfectly situated, and is suitable also for travel with kids. The people at the reception are very friendly and helpful. The pool under the rooftop is nice. Cons: The breakfast room has new furniture, and I agree this was necessary. Still, one thing has not changed: The staff is (as in previous stays) is simply much too slow (and not as motivated as the people at the reception - not enough people?) to clean the tables at breakfast and prepare them for new guests. This has always been so, and it is still the case, unfortunately. Thus, you arrive at breakfast, approximately 60% of the tables are occupied by other guests, 25% of the tables contain waste and litter (are not “ready” for new guests), and you have to find the remaining 15% by going around between the tables. This was not appropriate in the past, and it does still not appear to be appropriate in this re-freshed surrounding. Just a tiny remark, in case the hotel itself reads this comment: When you stay in the sixth floor (junior suite, room 626) you expect a correct plan behind the door that guides you to the next emergency exit / stairs, starting from your room, which is marked. The plan behind the door was however showing floor five, and “our room”, i.e. the respective room (under ours) on that level had totally different numbering, that is, not 526.

Pros: This is probably one of my favourite hotels from all my travels. The staff were super friendly, helpful, accommodating and competent. The location was great and it was a nice walk to the castle, many nice local stores, lots of picturesque bridges and the surrounding restaurants had amazing food! I would definitely recommend it!!! The breakfast was also fresh and well laid out.

The English cooked breakfast on offer was a little cold but overall excellent value as everything else is available, cereals, fruit, yogurt, pastries etc etc. The hotels main asset is the location, you could not stay anywhere better, everything is literally on your doorstep. Staff are absolutely lovely and the massage girl really new her stuff, she was a 10/10. The gym is adequate for a small workout, the steam and spa rooms are superb, they are very european so be prepared for naked bodies, my partner & I were a little nervous of this but you get used to it and nobody looks at you.

Cons: The only downside was the frosted glass loo door quite close to the bed - it didn't make for super-privacy. The wash basin was also in the room which meant you're guaranteed to be woken up when someone gets up in the night. This didn't put us off this hotel, though, and might not be the same in all rooms. It wouldn't stop us from going back!

They were more helpful than the tourist information. Breakfast was great. Their omelets and crepes are outstanding. There is a wide variety of fruit for breakfast! The location of the hotel could not be better. It is in the center of town, on a lovely street alongside the river. The rooms are spacious. My room had a river view. There even are lovely modern designed bathrooms!

Never going back to that hotel and I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
