The buffet breakfast was plentiful and included different to order options also. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the room fridge were appreciated. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very helpful. They would call every evening just to check if everything was to our satisfaction. As Adria airlines went under while we were there, we had to make changes to the end of our trip. Staff assisted us in booking a driver to Zagreb airport as our flight now left from there.

Cons: There is major construction around the hotel. There was a bit of machinery noise that could be heard from the room during the day. We didn't stay in the room and were up early so it didn't have too much effect for us, but this could be annoying if you wanted to sleep in. To be fair, the hotel did contact us about a week before arriving to let us know this was happening so that we could cancel if we wanted to. They gave us directions to park, with the construction, but that was difficult to follow as the road next to the hotel had been ripped out and the road in front is a busy one. We ended up parking on the gravel of the road that had been ripped out and they parked our car for us. Fortunately, we arrived on a Sunday when the construction was not happening, but not sure where we would have stopped if the construction had been on upon arrival.

Great breakfast buffet with a wide selection of wonderfully fresh hot and cold dishes, fruits, pastries, etc. I enjoyed my stay very much and will definitely stay here again.

Cons: Reception staff is helpful but not friendly at all. We booked a suite it wasn't very clean. In the drawers you could find papers from candies and many other things. A bit disappointing for this kind of hotel. I am in the same business so I give myself right to say all this and I do know what I'm talking about.

Cons: All in all our stay was great. The one thing I would have liked to know was that since the hotel was full, one needed to schedule visiting the pool. Unfortunately it was full on the day of our arrival, but we did manage to enjoy it the following 2 days.

Cons: The staff were not friendly and acted as if they were doing us a great favour just because they turned up for work so we should not be asking for their help with anything. Also on the evening of our arrival (our flight was late) we entered the restaurant and were 5 minutes past their serving time. The restaurant still had plenty of people there and having explained that we have had a long travel and asked whether they could offer us anything even if it was tea and biscuits they sternly declined.

Cons: I didn't like that Adria Airlines cancelled all their flights. If the hotel could have prevented that, it would have been so cool! We had a problem with the shower water not being hot enough and spilling out into the room from under the doors. But that last part is all over Europe. But anything negative was routine and was massively outweighed by the other above. If we had stayed in any other hotel in your town, we probably would not be home by now.

The size of the rooms is exceptional, and this coupled with the warm hospitality of its employees ensures that you feel instantly relaxed and at home. Cons: I stayed in early October, and the room I picked happened to be across a terrace from the main building. The room was freezing cold (guessing high 50s) without any temperature control. The management said the hotel heat wouldn't come on until several weeks later. Unfortunately the hot water was also limited, so several mornings I ended with a cold shower as well.

Pros: Very good location if you are with the car. Good breakfast. Staff is friendly but not all.
Cons: Extra bed, which they are making from room desk, is disaster!!! Mattress lover than wooden side for 10 cm. It's too hard to go inside the bed and much more harder to going out! You can choose what you can use: desk or bed if you are 3 in the room. Absolutely not comfortable! They not provide a parking space even if you are ready to pay. They didn't provide a reservation for a space which they have. We park on the public parking.

Pros: I got an upgrade to the suite, and it's really a palace！It's got this old world glory without too much conspicuous consumption. It's location is so close to the popular city center square and the castle and river that it only takes five minutes to get to the popular city square. Yet, the hotel is hidden in a very quiet back street. A real bargain for people interested in staying an authentic old world hotel.

Pros:
Cons: Cinderella Suite We had chosen Antiq instead of another more modern hotel nearby because we wanted a romantic stay even if the price was higher. Antiq is defined as a 4 star luxury hotel which proven wrong. This is why. They gave us Suite 16 a penthouse room on the 3rd floor which is not reached by the lift and so that one flight of stars is necessary. The carpets along the corridor which were bright gold-yellow are now stained as are the walls. The room door gets stuck in the floor and a very strong push in necessary to open it. The penthouse ceiling leans over the bed so that a normal height person has to stand bending forward. The same ceiling has a wooden beam at about 1,20 m while the window is behind it. To open and close the blinds one must crawl below the beam. One of the 2 bedside lamps has a broken switch. We noticed sparks when turning it on and off. The wooden floor has an outcrop rising about 4 cm on the “good” side of the bed causing one to stumble when approaching the bed. On the third day the main light of the room went off completely. A reading glasses box was left on the armchair, forgotten by the previous guest, had the room been cleaned? The mattress shows a dark stain which can be seen through the linen of the sheets. The bathroom is dilapidated: the flush of the toilet never stops until one forces the button up again. The shower which had some different functions is no longer working: just one of the jets is operational, the big one on the roof is broken and water flows on the side instead of through the jet holes. The sink stop is missing and also a hairdryer is missing. Only one and a half roll of hygienic paper is available. On the third day it was finished and no replace was avialble. On the second day instead of 4 towels we got only 3. One had a hole. Last but not least the very good breakfast was served poorly: only one knife was present for both cheese and foie-gras. Only one dish was available for each guest.
