9,6 Excellent
Pros: I had a lovely single room which was a nice size with good decor. The bathroom was just down the corridor and was only for me, it was lovely and helpful that a bath robe was included in the room. There was also a fan in the room which was amazing due to the hot weather. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had such a great holiday.
Cons: The bathroom was quite small and the room faced onto the street so it could be a little noisy. Neither of these things were really negative, but might be something that other travelers would like to know.

Pros: Lovely quiet town centre street, very close to a nice park. Very attentive and flexible staff, nice breakfast, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Parking was extra but space not guaranteed (as it’s street parking) - although offered cheaper than public car park.

Pros: I loved the vibe. The Inn is bright, welcoming and crooked in all the best ways. We sprang for the deluxe room and it was large & fabulous. We had a lovely view over the square and windows on both sides. The specially made bubble bath was delicious to soak in after a long day of walking. Loved the light boxes with their sayings and the overall interior design, very cheerful.
Cons: The noise on the Square. Wednesday night into Thursday morning someone was going through trash or collecting bottles loudly, then at 7 am the noisiest street cleaning truck came along. Our second night all was quiet.

Cons: WiFi in our bedroom was not good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so lovely and friendly. The bar was like sitting in your own living room. It was a superb location. It was a nice touch to be shown to your room. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. Will definitely come back and recommend The Chester.
Cons: The parking for us was fine but I can see maybe a problem mid summer with getting a parking space.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The staff were pleasant and helpful
Cons: The accommodation was dated. The bar was outrageously expensive. The accommodation bore no resemblance to the rooms you quoted of, Deluxe Double, Superior Double or double room. In fact the staff there referred to them as Doubles or Better Doubles; very misleading. This hotel is not value for money!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Warm, friendly and efficient check in and all the staff throughout our stay. The room was so cosy with every attention to our comfort. the only slight problem is the 12 spaces in the car park for 22 rooms. first come first serve, but no issues with blocking people in , all very amicable but be prepared. Fab location such a pretty town. Well worth a stay!
Cons: If i mentioned anything it would seem very petty. More than one packet of biscuits would be nice!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property was lovely located in a beautiful area
Cons: The car par is very small that’s the only thing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I loved it! but would have loved a quieter room! Everything else was outstanding and super friendly. The quality of food was amazing!

Pros: We stayed for three nights in September. The hotel was in a great location for touring The Cotswolds. We managed to find parking in the hotel car-park on each day. Best thing about the hotel was the friendliness of the staff. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

Cons: On quite a busy junction. A few things missed by the cleaner.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable clean accomodation perfect for 4 people right in the heart of stow on the wold.
Cons: Beds were two singles put together but were super comfortable.
7,1 Good
Pros: The apartments are of a very good standard and seem well equipped. The beds were very comfortable but bring your earplugs - the road noise can be heard very easily and this is an old building with very creaky floorboards. When other guests are walking about you will hear everything!
Cons: Stayed here on two separate occasions in the same week so had experience of two different apartments. The first one was disappointing as it had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was still toothpaste residue in the bathroom sink and the toilet was also not very clean. Luckily there was some cleaning materials available and I dealt with it myself
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Paul and Sean are a great team and between them provide a warm welcome and an excellent breakfast. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with nice touches including bottled water and biscuits. Good quality mattresses and bedding were also appreciated. The terrace was a real bonus on a sunny day, especially with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Although Butlers is a little way out, it’s on a quiet residential street and an easy walk into the town centre or Montpellier.
Cons: Nothing, but a fridge in the room with milk for tea & coffee and breakfast until 10 would have made our stay even better!

Pros: Hotel was quiet comfortable would have appreciated a sofa or chairs in the bedroom to relax instead of sitting on the bed.
6,7 Good
Pros: Loved the lounge, breakfast and the staff were excellent.
Cons: I had a room on the front and it was very noisy, lots of ambulance sirens through the night. Curtains in the room didn’t close fully so wasn’t dark and they were filthy. There was no food on offer either room service or restaurant as it is shut on Sunday and Monday, would have been good to know this at time of booking. Couldn’t park onsite as only 5 spaces so had to drop kids off and go and find a spot on side roads, raining hard, again would have been good to know.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Nothing..
Cons: Worn carpets and chipped furniture, marked and scuffed walls and cracked bathroom tiles. Non working TV and intermittent working kettle in room. Staff disinterested, rude and unhelpful..
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky style which is different to standard hotels. There is no formal reception area which is unusual but refreshing. There are not many rooms so has a more homely feel with the stay. Staff were always to hand and very helpful. Room was grand style; high ceilings, sash windows, wooden flooring. Location was perfect - 5 minute walk to centre but in an upmarket residential area.
Cons: Unnecessary to have roll top bath in bedroom. No seats to relax on other than sitting on the bed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very polite and helped when ever asked. The location was a small walk into the centre. They have some lovely sister companies that they booked a table for us that we visited on the way back.
Cons: Missing towels when we arrived, but quickly corrected. Also a few cob webs in the room that my wife made me get.

Pros: The hotel and gardens were great not over styled, fresh flowers. The lounge and bar were good places to sit and have a drink. The seating area to the front of the hotel is lovely to sit (if the weather is good)
Cons: The food, the dinner menu did not include vegetarian, and is trying too hard which results in some poor sauces and flavours. The food was also not hot. Service was slow .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The personal touches...…..the plant, chocolates, biscuits, gin and hand written welcoming note. We had a wonderful dinner and a lovely breakfast. We enjoyed a walk in the grounds that lead to the church next door and the beautiful village.
Cons: Our dinner side orders were missed. We did point this out at the time and the waiter who took our order in the lounge came to our table to apologise. A cheese course was offered as compensation which was much appreciated and much enjoyed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location in the centre of the Cotswolds, the staff were all very friendly, excellent wine list, the bed was really, really comfortable. They set a high standard, but you only need to check the other hotels that they own to know they are in good company.

Pros: A little piece of English Heaven! Lovely, comfortable hotel in a very picturesque setting. Food and wine was excellent. Staff very helpful. Couldn't have asked for anything better.
7,9 Good
Pros: Delicious food, excellent service and British manor style decoration with an exquisite garden.
Cons: The room has some smell。
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices. As, I might say, were the evening meals and room service. All staff members were very polite and helpful. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by a well maintained relaxing and interesting garden. We particularly enjoyed the herb garden. The local area offers pleasant country walks, which we enjoyed.
Cons: There was nothing that either myself or my wife disliked.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Breakfast had lots of varieties and was very good. Car park is available and free.
Cons: No room service after 9:00 PM
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet location. Staff was very pleasant . We enjoyed our stay very much.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for a quiet get away in the Cotswolds, there are some great walks you can do from the hotel which is in a picture-perfect setting. The gardens are simply beautiful and we enjoyed exploring them. There are benches and a nice seating area at the front garden - a great spot for cream tea, although they had run out of scones when we arrived :( The bed was super comfy and the hotel décor is stylish & classy. Also nice use of space inside with several areas that had comfy sofas for sitting/reading/playing games etc. The welcome note to say Happy Anniversary and dog bed/food/treats/bowl etc in our room on arrival was a lovely touch. The evening food was delicious, good wine selection & friendly staff.
Cons: Our room on the ground floor was very hot and even with both windows open it was hard to keep it cool. The shower screen did a very bad job of keeping water off the floor - and you could see that it's been an ongoing issue as the wooden bath panel has started to peel quite badly. This meant that the floor got flooded after every shower unless you were REALLY careful - something that could easily be fixed (also might not be the case in the other rooms) The service was always friendly and welcoming but a little bit lacking in certain areas - we ordered a drink on the lawn and would have liked another but the waiter never came back to check on us, the same happened in the bar that evening. The lack of music in the bar made it feel a little awkward. Just some classy piano music or something subtle in the background would create a much better ambience. The cocktails in the bar were very disappointing - really lacking in creativity and taste and poorly presented. If you are going to have a cocktail menu and charge £14 each... make sure they are good! Overall I would definitely go back and 100% recommend it to others, but there are some small tweaks that could be made to make it even more special.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved the service, the food, garden, and overall ambience. Impeccable.
8,0 Excellent

Cons: Rather dark room with no real view of the gardens

Pros: The staff members at Lords of the Manor were outstanding as they attended to every detail with a cordial and pleasant manor. Our room was lovely, the countryside was beautiful and we hope to visit again

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and atmosphere
Cons: Size of the bathroom
9,2 Excellent
Pros: - Lovely inn / pub in a little Cotswold village near the main villages of the area; very pet friendly allowing the dogs in the rooms and we could even leave them in there to sleep while we ate in the restaurant for dinner (or could have brought them to the meal if we wanted to eat in the main bar area) - Great atmosphere in the pub / restaurant, and we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant (lovely food, big portions, and we were allowed to take our desserts back to our room) - The room was really large, plenty of room for our two golden retrievers to join us - Smart TV with Netflix available - Nice beer garden outside - Parking available for free without a booking - Quiet village setting
Cons: - Stairs were quite steep and loud, which made me nervous for other guests when trying to take the dogs out for a wee in the night / morning; one of the rooms on ground floor or the ones with doors directly to the outside may have been better suited for us (but we appreciated that ALL rooms really are dog friendly!) - Some of the staff were a little unfriendly - We didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in the rate and was quite pricey, but enjoyed the excuse to visit another village for brunch - A little expensive but the whole area is!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very attentive. Food excellent. Room comfortable but small.
Cons: Size of room especially the access to the ensuite bathroom
8,0 Excellent

Cons: All good excellent
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely week in the Lamb Inn, friendly staff, nice rooms, great food.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was of high quality and largely of local produce. Good options available. The hotel was well located in the small village of Great Rissington, itself near to Cotswolds beauty spots such as Bourton on the Water. Stayed in this hotel nearly 30 years ago and it was nostalgic to return. The staff were exceptionally helpful and good mannered. Particularly the waitress who thoughtfully and tactfully moved us away from a noisy couple in the restaurant. Also the cheery barman who worked hard to please customers
Cons: At dinner my wife's food was excellent, although my main course (steak pie) and dessert (siticky toffee pudding) were a little overcooked. Restaurant prices a little steep.

Pros: Breakfast and breakfast staff
Cons: Extremely stained bedcover
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a nice location next to Pittville Park and close to the Brewery Quarter. It's in a central location within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. I booked this place as I had to attend a hospital appointment and was expecting to stay in the budget room but was pleasantly surprised that I had been upgraded to the standard double with ensuite. The room was very nicely decorated and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and a generous portion of the full English, too much for me to eat it all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again and definitely recommend it.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like. I'm going to be in Cheltenham again soon but unfortunately the price for a room at the Townhouse for my next stay was above my budget and I had to book elsewhere. Otherwise I would have booked again.

Pros: Good actually brought to our room
Cons: Steps up and down .Wife has balance problems

Pros: Excellent location, clean and very comfortable
Cons: Although we knew it was a separate bathroom, we didn't like it. But our fault.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room - we were upgraded to Room 12 which was lovely and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room was very calm and peaceful. The breakfast was tasty - would recommend and stay here again.
Cons: The bathroom could have been cleaner (dusty around bath)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The main townhouse is beautiful and impeccably presented. We checked in and then made our way over to the apartments, a short walk away. Very clear directions were given at check in. Our apartment was lovely. Clean, well presented and had everything we needed.
Cons: Nothing. It was all lovely and great value.
7,1 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable Great breakfast
Cons: We were in a basement apartment. Had to walk 10mins for breakfast and had no communal areas. Lacked atmosphere- the main house seemed jolly and lively. We felt a bit out of it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very good breakfast. Reception very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Quite a high climb to get into shower!

Pros: The bedroom and bathroom were very good. The room was very clean. Bathroom was a good size and water was good pressure and easy to control the temperature.
Cons: The dining staff were overworked and could not keep pace with the number of diners
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast and food in general. Staff were very attentive and cheerful. The hotel had a really nice feel to it. Very relaxing environment.
Cons: The bed was small but it was a standard double.

Pros: Absolutely lovely stay, would highly recommend. Food is amazing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location off main area. Traditional menu, well cooked and nicely presented. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Menu was very traditional - would have liked a few more options
7,0 Good
Pros: Having had a bad first night we asked to be moved to another room and the front desk manager pulled that off, despite being fully booked, and gave us another room overlooking the hotel's back car park and woods beyond. The room was a bit smaller but it was worth the sacrifice to get a really good night's sleep. All the bar and restaurant staff were equally as friendly and helpful and, on the whole, the lunch and dinner fare was top flight. There was a slight dip in form with the halibut (not very tasty and overcooked) and the rack of lamb (really chewy - not quite sure how that is possible with that cut unless it was the worst end of the neck rather than 'the best end of the neck' which is what a rack of lamb used to be called). Otherwise everything else was really tasty and beautifully presented along with perfect service throughout.
Cons: I found the breakfast a little disappointing - mushrooms were rubbery, sausage really tough and chewy, fried eggs seemed like they had been around for a while and the bacon just too thick and, again, rather chewy. Other than that, not much variety. Full English was the only hot breakfast on offer, and there was no fresh fruit to be had and no granola, only breakfast cereal flakes. The usual mid-range hotel orange juice (from concentrate) didn't help either and a two person teapot with one teabag in it wasn't really my cup of tea either, but that was easily solved when an additional teabag was quickly produce on request. Our first room (first night) was ostensibly really nice but it was really difficult to sleep since it was at the back of the hotel fronting Jubilee Drive, the road to West Malvern. I don't know who is racing down there at 3-4pm in the morning, but they are! Then, soon after 8am, dog walkers park up right under your window (locals who don't want to pay for parking in the large British Camp parking lot across the road off the A449). That entails more noise you could do without and precludes wandering around your room, half dressed with the curtains open for fear of being seen from below. So if you want a quiet night, don't book any of the rooms facing Jubilee Drive!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb for exploring the Malvern Hills and surrounding countryside. The food was really good and the staff very friendly and efficient.
Cons: Parking could be difficult at times with many spaces taken up by those eating at the pub and leaving no place for residents.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly professional staff especially in the bar area Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and very quiet so we had a really good nights sleep. 2 little tiny niggles There isn’t a full length mirror in the room (we had a junior suite ) and no face cloths but overall we had a lovely relaxing stay it is super clean and I would highly recommend and will be staying again.
Cons: No full length mirror in the room and no face cloths.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast on the first morning was good - must have had a different Chef the next morning.
Cons: 1) On the second morning of our 2 night visit the breakfast wasn't good with flabby poached bacon! 2) We love cats, not dogs. We didn't realise dogs were allowed in the rooms hence the doggy smell. 3) There is no specific parking for hotel customers. Dog walkers are not prevented from taking all the parking!!! We had to park in the public car park opposite which is where the dog walkers who are not staying at the hotel should be parking. 4) The meals were not good - couscous very dry and no flavour on the lamb shank at all. What about harissa to add some spice and flavour?

Pros: Breakfast was very good, room was spacious and good, the grounds and buildings were very nice and staff friendly and helpful
Cons: It was not made clear on booking.com site, that as hotel guest you had to pay 25 pounds per person per day to use swimming pool this included basic spa facilities as well
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!! Have to say the staff were wonderful, so polite and attentive.
Cons: Having to leave.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful luxury hotel with amazing spa. I book the facial and body massage . It was very comfortable. Nice and friendly staff, delicious free breakfast with garden view. I and my husband really enjoyed our holiday.
Cons: The only thing was the bed mattress was soft. It was not firm enough to support my back.
6,3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good and the hotel is in a lovely setting. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: It was over priced. The room was a little tired with some decoration that needed touching up. The furniture was old, dark and a little tatty. The bathroom needed the grouting and sealing renewing, an easy fix but makes such a difference I am amazed hotels do not do this regularly. The dining room is tasteless. Plastic light fittings and curtain rods!! The menu needs serious thought if they are to get people to eat here. We looked at the menu and headed into Cheltenham where we found Petite CoCo an amazing, brilliant, fantastic French Bistro full of atmosphere and great food.

Pros: Location was great. The property was beautiful. Staff members were kind, helpful. Dinner was excellent.

Pros: Lovely location. The staff are very helpful and professional. Excellent breakfast and restaurant.
Cons: The hotel has got a 5 * rating. However our room (Walpole) did not have a full length mirror!! Definitely not 5 * ! Shower very poor and water lukewarm. The room is up a treacherous flight of stairs. Very risky going to the bathroom at night as one has to walk across the hallway at the top of the stairs. Hugely overpriced for facilities. The room was very warm and the small table fan provided was broken.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our basic double room turned out to be a two-story suite (living room downstairs, bed and bath upstairs). Very comfortable and quiet, with very nice appointments.
Cons: The food at dinner wasn't anything special, and the staff seem somewhat young and indifferent. But breakfasts were good and the dining room pleasant (but a somewhat indifferent decor).
8,0 Excellent
Pros: very much enjoyed the location and the overall atmosphere of the hotel.
Cons: The immediate bar area could be a little more convivial..but this is only a comment not a complaint

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here so that we could attend a function at the Racecourse, have to say its a lovely friendly hotel. The staff are really accommodating and welcoming. The hotel is really clean and modern, but retaining an old fashioned charm. The room was huge, and the shower was amazing in morning. We had Eggs Benedict and a Traditional Breakfast, and the poached eggs were the best!!!
Cons: Nothing really, the only slight down side;- we were located on the top floor, and after a couple of drinks and a night of dancing the stairs were a little daunting.

Cons: I wasn’t blown away by the spa treatment unfortunately. My husband paid for a total body massage as a treat but it was probably the worse total body massage I’ve ever had!

Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: The outdoor pool was lovely, luckily it was a sunny day so we were able to enjoy it!
Cons: The staff were extremely rude, and upon sharing our views post visit with both the operations manager and general manager, which were valid concerns from our stay, we were accused of lying regarding our complaints. Service in the horse box restaurant was also extremely disappointing and we were told we had gone way over our allowance and when we questioned this we were told we had a £40 allocation per person instead of the £50 we had previously been told we had - this was sorted but only when we asked to speak to management, and even then there was no apology, we were just told there had been a change in policy.
