7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast good choices. location too far out of town centre.
Cons: nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Home made jams. Not just a buffet, eggs and bacon and lovely local bread, very fresh every day.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was extremely personable and helpful. Extremely attentive and couldn't do enough to help. Room was spacious and immaculately clean
Cons: With the hotel not serving dinner, the location is a little problamatic. The buses don't run very late so getting back in to Chatel for dinner was pretty much impossible.
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly helpful staff
Cons: Would have been good if there was a bar
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast. Charming, helpful, hostess. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets.
Cons: It is quite a long way up into the town without a car. Fortunately we enjoy walking and the weather was good but the uphill trek could be a drawback in the rain! There was no real bus service in the evening.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Very welcoming host. Spotless bathroom and cosy, pretty bedroom. Bed very comfortable. The little kitchenette would have been very useful on a longer stay.
Cons: I prefer softer pillows, but this is only a very minor point.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really, really lovely people running the hotel , they were really helpful and let us check in very early as we arrived having travelled thru the night , getting us out to the slopes that day . Great location - parking easy at hotel but also on bus route - easy to get to the best lifts for the whole area. lovely room, more spacious than most ski rooms , nice balcony and view , unexpectedly had kitchenette which was really handy . newly done bathrooms . Great breakfasts. restaurants and bars nearby walking distance, town accessible with car , could have walked tho that might have been a bit of a trek uphill but I did walk home downhill one night which was fine !

Cons: No tea or coffee making facilities.

Pros: The location is fantastic for alpine holidays all year round. After a day of skiing or other mountain sports, hiking or cycling there is a small pool, sauna and jacuzzi at the hotel to help you recover and the amazing food from the friendly hotel restaurant to help you refuel. Perfect for couples, friends and families with children of all ages ( toddler to teen)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Booked Junior Suite. Modern, spacious, to excellent standard. Bathroom only had a shower, whereas we prefer a bath. Dinner was excellent with efficient and friendly service. Located in centre of small ski resort. Ski buses stop close, take you to either of two chair lifts - Cret Beni for small local ski area, or Penthiaz for the vast Portes du Soleil area. The Linga lift in Chatel is 10 minutes drive away.
Cons: Some traffic noise in spite of double glazing.

Pros: Pool and jacuzzi
Cons: Turn off heater in bathroom automatically at night. Ski equipment didn't dry
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Position of hotel. Professionalism, helpfulness and kindness of welcome and all staff at hotel. Decoration in hotel and bedroom, sunny.
Cons: Room rather small (cosy definition), would have been nice if bigger bed. Bathroom door rather temperamental. Lack of wardrobe, drawer space for folded clothes due to size of room.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast provided a comprehensive choice. The evening meals were delicious. This is a family run hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The towels were a little small and had a smell which I did not like.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice family owned hotel, with a real service ethos. Breakfast is very good. Spa well equipped and full equipment provided which was most welcome after a tiring day on the slopes. Lots of good restaurants nearby too which is a bonus!
Cons: Nothing really

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing. Views spectacular. Superb staff. So helpful and kind.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast option small (croissant, bread jam coffee/tea) or large (buffet plus eggs). Small was fine. Hotel owner was very welcoming and friendly - offering to drive us and our luggage to the central bus stop on departure. Basement ski storeroom had boot driers/warmers and racks for skis and boards, so no need to lug these up and down stairs.
Cons: Bathroom was very small and shower control incredibly sensitive so that you had to be careful to avoid it being scalding hot. But there was always plenty of hot water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Superfriendly staff, great atmosphere, great food. We got a '4 person room' with a separate room, which was much appreciated!
Cons: We didn't like... to have to go back home...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I booked an economic room, but when I checked in the receptionist told us that we would be settled in a upper grade room with view to the mountains and it was incredible. The breakfast is good with homemade bread and tasty hot chocolate. Dinner served at the hotel is delicious and at a reasonable price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a family hotel, and you truly feel that vibe during your stay. The staff is attentive, warm, and welcoming. And one of the true gems of this hotel is the dinner and wine selection. We ate there every night, a gourmet French meal, with sustainable and local ingredients, served by a talented chef. The hotel is cozy, and you are welcome to lounge about and enjoy a local glass of wine, personally selected by the house expert. It was so nice to return back to the hotel after a long day of snowboarding and feel like you're coming home (but with the above-mentioned gastronomic benefits!).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: I recommend this place for jews who Shabbat the owner really tried to help us. With the sensors.

Pros: Hotel was 2* but very clean and comfortable. Owner was very friendly and much reviewed breakfast was indeed excellent and worth having. Good parking facilities under cover. Good sized rooms. We stayed in nice family room with 2 bedrooms adjoined sleeping 4. Just what we needed for our weekend stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The lady owner very nice, friendly and helpful. Nice view from restaurant window, very pleasant place. Balcony and view from room is great. Hot showers. Memorable.
Cons: Minor things and perhaps some simple changes at breakfast: The machine coffee which is vital in the morning was very poor, it is worth a simple future improvement, how about fresh filter coffee ? Soft ripe fruits would be welcome also, like pears, I know there are oranges and apples. Maybe provide fresh milk not UHT milk. The light in the ski room was on a short turn off timer and also didnt work or have much power.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every things, super helpful staff
Cons: Nothing dislike
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An exceptionally well kept, family run hotel. We loved the timeline board, It showed that they are always looking to improve. We were here on our honeymoon and there was nothing we would have changed. The only down side was that the restaurant was a little pricey for us but by the trade they have and the menu, I'd say it is very well served. Altogether, a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return one day.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Cosy place and all very clean
Cons: Very impolite and unfriendly service. Very inflexible for normal customer requests. We asked for a table for dinner around 7 am but were told that if we did not have a reservation there were no vacancies. When looking at the restaurant about one hour later at least 5 - 6 tables were empty. Very annoying Food in the restaurant was very good but also a bit pricy
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was very good but was outside room rate
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff; pool
Cons: It was hot being the summer, a fan would have been appreciated

Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and lots of hot water. The dinner was great, one course, but very good food cooked for us. Breakfast was again a good spread, with fresh local cheese's and ham, eggs and tea or coffee. Very good value for the price, and about 20 minutes drive from Chatel.

Pros: Warm and friendly team. Truly ski in ski out. Hot tub and sauna lovely treat.

Cons: Didn’t like the surprise when paying the bill That breakfast was a chargeable extra, Booking.com don’t have it clearly stated on their Web site!! And 11€ for a child’s breakfast is Much!!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel did exactly what it needed to! Very short walk(cut through Car park using lift) to buses to Pre la Joux to ride Avoriaz etc and only another minute past the bus stop to the main lift for Chatel resort. Rooms nothing fancy but quaint, comfortable, warm and clean. Staff had better English than my French, although not fluent, but even when language was a barrier they were very courteous and happy to help.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful, spacious room with a small balcony. The view was gorgeous. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Though the hotel was overall very good, I suggest two things: - shower curtain in bathroom - soap dispenser instead of these little pouches which are hard to open and produce unnecessary waste.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was soo comfy room clean tidy bathrooms could have been a little bigger the bath robes were a nice touch. Food good although would have liked more choice than a set menu.
Cons: Just not close enough to the ski lift good job we had a car.
7,9 Good
Pros: The pancakes!!! The jacuzzi
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice location away from the main road of the village. The hotel was clean and quiet. We liked the breakfast and the dinner was good ! We recommend to try the "Berthoud"!
Cons: The toilet was not separated from the bathroom and there was a big space under the door so we missed some privacy there.
6,3 Good
Pros: Very clean, great effort by owners, my room was newly refurbished and was well done, and spotless
Cons: The water pressure on the top floor is poor. The heating in room 31 is ineffective. The sauna was not hot enough
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect place to our family: nice SPA-area for kids and possibility to play games (billiards and football) downstairs in playroom. The staff was friendly and gave us good tips for the routechoises to see the view of Mount Blanc during our next day's cartrip to Geneve. And it was easy to have a dinner in same building, and it was worth of having it: delicious, very good price/quality relation. The breakfast was full of different food substances to choose; also kids found things, that they liked.
Cons: For the finnish person the sauna was not hot enough, even if it was the finnish one (Harvia) ;-)
7,5 Good
Pros: Hôtel was perfect for a weekend stay in the mountains and after a long walk a nice swim and dip in the jacuzzi.
Cons: Bathroom was a little smelly but didn't spoil our stay

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hôtel les Triolets in Chatel, you'll be 3.5 mi (5.6 km) from Portes du Soleil and 15.3 mi (24.6 km) from Champery Ski Resort. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was as expected from other reviews - so thank you reviewers! Good location for skiing.. not right in the middle of town but bus service is excellent and stops right outside the door. Suggest you head up hill to Petit Chatel rather than downhill to Super Chatel... but you must be a good skier. Easy ten minute walk in the evenings to middle of town and all the restaurants. Hotel was very clean, owners extremely helpful and friendly. Room was not very big - but perfectly adequate and the bed was quite comfy... for someone fussy about beds! Towels typically French - not very big and definitely not fluffy! Swimming pool was good - also very clean, pleasant temperature- NB it’s not actually connected to the hotel... so it’s a short, chilly walk!! Recommend a pair of slippers - for going upstairs from ski locker room and also heading out to pool. At the right price and for a last minute trip - mainly for the skiing - I would return!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location ,,, lovely family run
Cons: Our room was booked as a double room for two but was so small ,, definitely more like a single room. Very little space to manoeuvre or storage space .
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, ski bus on the doorstep is very convenient. Staff was very friendly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very family oriented and would definitely go back.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The Coziness, location, cleanliness and friendly helpful staff, particularly Jean Marc who could not do enough for us . A very enjoyable stay.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Verry friendly staff, great views 10 minutes walking to the center, nice pool. Skybus in front of the door. Great breakfast
Cons: Hotel needs an update.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, amazing views and very friendly. The frequent ski bus stops right outside, so it's very convenient. The one evening meal we had at the hotel was absolutely excellent.
Cons: The hotel really shouldn't be advertising 'free wifi in all areas' - that's simply not true, the routers aren't fully connected up, and booking.com negotiated a partial refund for us because of that (I had work to do, and had chosen this hotel because it said it had Wifi in all areas). It's only available in the bar, with a limited signal in the ground floor lounge. We probably would have eaten more meals at the hotel if they'd displayed a dinner menu as I don't eat meat or poultry.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Overall the hotel was excellent, especially the friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant, spacious lounge, bar and restaurant (tho the restaurant was closed apart from breakfast). Fabulous view from balcony! Easy stroll to Chatel centre.
Cons: Space in the room for 2 adults was tight but adequate. A drying rack in the bathroom would be useful.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was verry friendly. Hotel is verry nice. Thank you

Pros: The food was typically French and very good. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the whole experience was very relaxed. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location just by lift, as half broad the food was very good and a big change over last years
7,5 Good
Pros: Food was freshly cooked and generous portions. Lovely seasonal vegetables. Dinner staff were lovely.
Cons: Fantastic location for petit chatel ski lift, but for my beginner children it was a bus journey into chatel for the ski runs.

Cons: The rooms tend to be on the smaller side (for American standards)

Pros: The staff was super nice, the hotel has a distinct family-run atmosphere. Although some of the equipment and furniture is a bit on the simple or worn side, the room, bathroom and the rest of the hotel are impeccably clean.
Cons: The bathtub does not have a shower curtain - either you shower kneeling down or flood the bathroom. Internet access is a disaster - until 23h when most guest have gone to bed it cuts out every 5 minutes, requiring to login in new each time, truly painful.

Pros: Hôtel was perfect for a weekend stay in the mountains and after a long walk a nice swim and dip in the jacuzzi.

Pros: No complaints about the staff, parking and wifi
Cons: Room ventilation, traffic noise, bed, strange set up with the toilet only separated from the room by a curtain. Probably a better option in the summer than the winter.

Pros: Very friendly staff, very convenient location
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and lots of hot water. The dinner was great, one course, but very good food cooked for us. Breakfast was again a good spread, with fresh local cheese's and ham, eggs and tea or coffee. Very good value for the price, and about 20 minutes drive from Chatel.
