9,1 Excellent
Pros: The staff goes above and beyond for everything from checkin to check out. The Inn is kept in great shape and as many have mention Everything in the rooms is very well appointed from Towels to having your own fireplace in the suite. Even other options for dinning are a short walk away so there was a variety to choose from. The front desk is only there from 8am-11pm so don't plan to check in late without calling ahead of time. I needed to check out early and they made sure to have someone there at the desk and made breakfast early for me to accommodate my early schedule. This is a great place for couples to get a quite VT getaway.

Pros: The room was warm, clean and the bed was great. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was wonderful to soak in. The proximity to town was only 5 minutes. Great location and terrific price.................
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We chose less luxurious hotels for this trip than we usually do so I was a little anxious about staying in an old-style drive up motel. Four Winds exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and comfort, plus it was blissfully quiet. The updated rooms are large and clean with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was also updated, clean and spacious. We slept better that night than any other night on our vacation. Breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly. Overall, this is a great choice for a modestly priced motel.

Cons: Nope
5,8 Okay
Pros: When we arrived at the 4:00 check in time there were no rooms available (for anyone not just me). The staff seemed completely clueless. After waiting over an hour I told the person at the front desk to refund my deposit and i would go down the street to the Kimpton. She said that the room was ready and not to do that. When we got to the room someone else was in it and wasn’t too happy to have us walk in on them. Went back to the desk and fought through a line of very angry people, I finally found someone who seemed concerned about the totally unacceptable situation. Her name was Krista and she seemed as appalled as we were about the situation. She somehow got us into a room, came and found us and gave us the keys. She waved the resort fees as a goodwill gesture. She was great. The room however was rushed cleaned and there was still cleaning products in the bathroom. Our luggage never arrived to the room and i had to go find it on a cart in a hall of the lobby and carrying it up to the second floor myself. The next morning when i went to the valet to get my car they couldn’t fund it. I had to find it myself in lot way behind the resort. I have to say the kid at the valet seemed genuinely concerned and apologized profusely. When finally checking out, the resort fees were still on The folio. I went to the front desk to rectify the situation and although the kid at the desk took off the charges with no argument, he barely spoke to me, didn't apologize, say thank you , nothing. I had to remind him that he’s working the fron desk of a famous resort and should show some evidence of a personality. I must be fair, the vast majority of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, (john the bartender at the Marsh is great)and the property is beautiful. Its too bad that they hire young inexperienced kids. As one staffer said to me in reference to the debacle at checkin; “it was amateur hour last night”. I have to agree.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We were able to hike on some of the trails going up Equinox Mountain and enjoyed the experience. The workout room is really good, the bar has great drinks and staff, the food is excellent, beds are comfortable. All around, a great visit to this iconic and historic hotel. A 7:30 AM fire alarm caused by a bathroom water overflow triggering a lower floor smoke detector was handled well with a smooth evacuation from multiple exit stairwells. Automatic fire doors closed, which lowered any threat of smoke inhalation.
Cons: I’m pretty good at spotting faults and I don’t have much to pick on here. This was an uncommonly positive experience. I encourage them to put in some Tesla 60-80 amp chargers to better service electric vehicles. I drive a Tesla and there is only one slow charge connection that would be overwhelmed by more than one vehicle in need of charging.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Looked nice from outside.
Cons: Room was cold and bathroom an ice- box. Heating not up to the job. Public areas also cold and litter visible and not cleared. Would expect better from a hotel at this price point.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location. And class Nice bellman
Cons: The room was obviously a poorer room Noisy ac No coffee but maybe they do not have in room coffee. ?
4,2 Okay

Cons: The shower rod was broken, which made taking a shower difficult.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: One of the biggest motels rooms, I ever had.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The location was great for being close to downtown.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable but the worst was standing in a shower stall with a clogged drain and waste water up to our ankles. When they ever say looks are deceiving they had this place in mind..
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing, the manager should not be in the service business
Cons: Everything, specially the manager who is full of it. He should not be in the service business... where courtesy is an essential requirement of the husiness.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The manager was the rudest person ever, the room smelled like mildew and mold, the worst motel ever! The manager was so ignorant and rude, I mentioned the mold and he said it didn't smell like that and to open the window and I wasn't getting my money back! How unprofessional!
Cons: Not having a rude and ignorant manager!
10,0 Excellent

Overview Reviews
Located in Manchester, Weathervane Motel is within a 5-minute drive of American Museum of Fly Fishing and Orvis Fly Fishing. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7,4 Good
Pros: We were in the area to visit family, and it happened to be during the horse show, so prices at every other hotel/motel were hiked. This was a reasonable price and it turned out, comfortable accommodations. The rooms are dated, but our room was clean enough and pet-allergen free enough to accommodate my allergies. We requested a room where pets are not allowed. The beds were fine, the bath and room layout were excellent. We had a double vanity separate from the toilet/bath and curtained off from the sleeping area.
Cons: The pool was closed while we were there. It was hot and muggy and would have been nice. There was torrential rain one night and the parking lot was flooded. The rooms never seem endangered and the lot was cleared of floodwater within a few hours, but it was dramatic at the time. I was also concerned that there was no dead-bolt on the door. It is rural Vermont, and they seem to take these things more casually. We felt very safe otherwise.
5,4 Okay
Cons: Pretty rundown facility.
4,8 Okay
Cons: Beds were terrible. Decor and facilities were appallingly out of date. The breakfast buffet had a bag of white bread & cold cereal, a bowl of unappealing fruit, and little else to tempt you to stay. Sitting in a room last furnished in 1982 with green astroturf also did not appeal.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We booked one night and ended up extending for 2. The price was great! the room was large, the motel was as expected for it's category. we found the room and bathroom clean and had not concerns related to that. Staff was friendly and responsive. Location is just a few minutes drive to the restaurants in Manchester.

7,0 Good
Pros: Proximity to spa.
Cons: Rooms at the Inn weren’t exactly as described. We were under the impression we would have a fridge in our room, even a fireplace. Our room was a bit run down.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Liked pretty much everything
Cons: The fan in the bathroom sounded like it was going to break down at any moment. The rooms need to be remodeled for the price. Outside window needed attention
1,0 Poor
Cons: Room wasn't ready for 50 minutes past check in. Hallway and room were dirty. No coffee maker, refrigerator, or luggage rack. Only face cloth provided. address on building wasn't lit.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location and staff was very nice.
Cons: Rooms very dated and dirty. Not what you would expect at Equinox.
6,3 Good
Pros: Spa, restaurant
Cons: First, we were given a room that smelled like a dead animal. Second room was dirty and had several broken items... and was dirty
7,9 Good
Cons: We come to the Equinox every year. This year, for the second time we stayed at the 1811 house. Understanding that it is old and very quaint, it is pretty much ignored by the staff. The property is neglected and presents as an abandoned property. If it was maintained, and perhaps had someone on site to either have the fireplaces lit, or coffee, or something, it would feel better. We expected what we got, as we have been there before. We only stayed on that property because we got a deal, however, we met people staying there for the first time and they were creeped out. It is a deserted property. Nothing is kept up. Drawers in common rooms are open and full of garbage; The pub is abandoned and the kitchen is a mess. I realize it probably rents no matter what, however, I think the property should be maintained as well as the main one is.
6,0 Good
Cons: Service at the tavern restaurant was terrible, food bland and over priced. Room was very noisy. HVAC in the room would NOT shut off and kept going on and off all night.

Pros: Staff was nice but there is literally 2 people working at the entire hotel. That’s the only thing good about this place.
Cons: Felt like we were in a horror movie, half the place was shut down, completely run down. It was like this place hadn’t been touched since the 80s. So much potential it’s sad but it really needs some serious renovations. Maybe worth 20 bucks a night and we paid close to 200.

Pros: The staff made us feel at home. The home cooking was delicious and healthy. We enjoyed sharing a drink with our fellow inn-mates at the on-site bar.

Pros: Lovely comfortable rooms rustically decorated, with a beautiful view across to the distant mountains. The fall colours were spectacular!
Cons: If one is 5-10 minutes late for breakfast, the hot breakfast is cold, as they serve the breakfast on the hour and don’t keep it warm if one is a few minutes late... A bit like boot-camp!

Pros: Fabulous breakfast prepared for your choice of breakfast time.

Pros: Great location for our purposes in early Oct.

Pros: Manchester Vermont has needed a hotel for a very long time. Granted the village has gone to the dogs-with absolutely nothing to do and why they let all of those stores move out is terrible. We will probably not be back. the hotel was great-breakfast was great.
Cons: Hotel staff could dress a little more professional and the one that checked us out needed a class from "Miss Manners". It was apparent she did not like her job with her colored hair and piercings, she did not belong there!

Pros: Enjoyed everything about this hotel, it was clean, nice amenities, great location, plenty of parking, nice updates. Very comfortable bed!
Cons: Was not aware that the restaurant was closed on Sundays, so we could not eat there.
Cons: I only stayed one night and was for business so I did not get to enjoy all they had to offer.

Pros: The room was warm, clean and the bed was great. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was wonderful to soak in. The proximity to town was only 5 minutes. Great location and terrific price.................
