In close proximity to outstanding shopping and dining venues, the Inn is an ideal destination year-round and convenient from New York City, Hartford and Boston.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The staff goes above and beyond for everything from checkin to check out. The Inn is kept in great shape and as many have mention Everything in the rooms is very well appointed from Towels to having your own fireplace in the suite. Even other options for dinning are a short walk away so there was a variety to choose from. The front desk is only there from 8am-11pm so don't plan to check in late without calling ahead of time. I needed to check out early and they made sure to have someone there at the desk and made breakfast early for me to accommodate my early schedule. This is a great place for couples to get a quite VT getaway.
Cons: I only stayed one night and was for business so I did not get to enjoy all they had to offer.

Pros: Food was spectacular! Concierge Charles terrific. Room lovely. Many of guests were return customers who raced to us about the property and the people

Pros: The location is superb, less than two miles from town. Owners and staff are super helpful. Breakfast is totally homemade and delicious. The house is clean and full of history. It feels like home. We will come back.
Cons: Nothing in the Inn but the town is a bit pricy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Innkeepers Mary Ann & Jack are very welcoming and friendly, however not at all intrusive. The setting is heavenly. The gardens, views, and patio is exquisite. The room was FAR beyond our expectations. It was truly beautiful and comfortable. The mattress was clearly the finest we have slept on anywhere. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi and great shower. The furniture was very tastefully done. The top drawer of one cabinet included such things as extra: toothbrush, razor, sewing kit, lightbulb and other similar needs one might never think about. Every nook and cranny of the Inn was beautifully presented, from the walls, floors and furniture. Books abound as well as games with a beautiful wooden chessboard. We happen to awaken VERY early so we at breakfast in town. However, the coffee and chocolate chip cookies I had were delish. We are VERY much looking forward to going back again.
Cons: Nothing to write here! :)

Pros: Large room with good access to Manchester
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I loved the area and view. Pool was small but nobody was in it and we just wanted to cool off so perfect. Room was old fashioned but super clean and we absolutely were happy with it. Breakfast was at 8am so we were already on the road as needed to get back for work. We didn't notice the time until we found the breakfast room still locked up at 7:30 so our fault. Overall a nice evening, clean room, courteous staff. We had sliding glass door to a small deck but mosquitos were out in their glory so skipped that adventure.

Excellent location on large grounds with a small pool, a couple of minutes drive from the village and an ideal base for exploring Southern Vermont. Not to miss is Hildene, the estate of Robert Lincoln, Abe Lincoln's son. The room was clean and spacious holding two large beds, well-appointed, and a terrace. We will come back!
Cons: The pool could have been heated a little more, but we did swim after some time adjusting to the temperature. With a real summer (not this year's false summer) it should be alright.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent - it was very easy to walk to the center of town for restaurants and shops, and we loved the proximity to numerous hiking trails. The room was also very spacious.
Cons: The blinds on the front and back doors left gaps that could be seen through at night with the lights on in the room, and the thin curtains over the bathroom window (which looked out onto a golf course) could also easily be seen through. A change of blinds and curtains in these spots would provide more well-rounded privacy.

6,8 Good
Pros: Staff at the Spa outstanding. Beautiful buildings and vibe.
Cons: Worst bed encountered in over fifty years of travel. Bed should have been replaced twenty years ago.
7,0 Good
Pros: Resort and town are beautiful. Staff very friendly abd accoodatong! Room stayed in was at an exit/entrance and it was very noisy between 5:30am-midnight both days. This room should not be a guest room, but maybe converted into a sitting area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, service. Car service provided for a worry free night out to dinner!
Cons: Room was near noisy boiler. Kept kicking on throughout the night
4,3 Okay
Cons: Terrible experience! Used Master card to reserve a room only. Booking.com had a 10% discount if I paid in full at the time of making this reservation. I didn’t take that offer because I wanted to pay with my Visa card at the time of checkout. I’m currently living in Brazil and came up for Thanksgiving to spend time with my mom and take her to Vermont for a little getaway. At time of checking out, we checked out 1 hour early and yet it took me 1 hour to checkout because they had informed me that they charged the room and tax to the wrong credit card (what was used for making reservations only). I questioned the complex invoice and he couldn’t properly explain it to me but that he would be sending an email. When I returned to Connecticut, I checked my email and NEVER received the explanation. I then checked my Visa credit card to find several pending over charges (there were over $1,300 pending charges at one point). The next day I contacted the hotel manager to question how they allowed these charges without my consent. He then sent me a new invoice with additional charges and different from the invoice at the time of my checkout. Then he asked what time I checked out, which I told him 10am but took 1 hour. He then informed me there was an in-room dining charge 4 hours after I had already checked out. HOW IS THIS ALLOWED? After several calls, email exchanges, he refunded the in-room dining back but to the incorrect credit card, and supposedly as a goodwill, removed the daily tax. I still haven’t seen that refund (daily tax). Now that pending charges have cleared, I have 2 charges on my credit card for 2 prices that had nothing to do with my checkout invoice and STILL OVER $600 the price that was due. During my short stay in the US to spend with my family I had to deal with this non-sense every day and it’s now been over 2 weeks, and nothing resolved. All I asked was to be reimbursed of all incorrect charges and charged for the correct amount!

Pros: Pleasant option for luxury in Manchester VT. Very nice town.
Cons: No complaints. This is an excellent hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice and clean. Enjoyed the pool very much....even did laps which I hadn't done in a while. Enjoyed spa and massage and steam and sauna. Had a great meal for dinner, great staff.
Cons: Wish the breakfast hours were a bit longer. We didn't make breakfast as it closed at 11:00 a.m. Never like to see water for sale in a room for $7.00.....either provide the water or let people know it's for sale in the hotel, but I don't like that sort of item left in a room with a price.

Pros: We were in the area to visit family, and it happened to be during the horse show, so prices at every other hotel/motel were hiked. This was a reasonable price and it turned out, comfortable accommodations. The rooms are dated, but our room was clean enough and pet-allergen free enough to accommodate my allergies. We requested a room where pets are not allowed. The beds were fine, the bath and room layout were excellent. We had a double vanity separate from the toilet/bath and curtained off from the sleeping area.
Cons: The pool was closed while we were there. It was hot and muggy and would have been nice. There was torrential rain one night and the parking lot was flooded. The rooms never seem endangered and the lot was cleared of floodwater within a few hours, but it was dramatic at the time. I was also concerned that there was no dead-bolt on the door. It is rural Vermont, and they seem to take these things more casually. We felt very safe otherwise.
4,8 Okay
Cons: Beds were terrible. Decor and facilities were appallingly out of date. The breakfast buffet had a bag of white bread & cold cereal, a bowl of unappealing fruit, and little else to tempt you to stay. Sitting in a room last furnished in 1982 with green astroturf also did not appeal.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We booked one night and ended up extending for 2. The price was great! the room was large, the motel was as expected for it's category. we found the room and bathroom clean and had not concerns related to that. Staff was friendly and responsive. Location is just a few minutes drive to the restaurants in Manchester.

Pros: The staff was friendly and attentive, in the restaurants, spa, and guest services. Food at the Marsh restaurant was excellent. The pool is a nice benefit as well, although in its own building (which means walking in winter in snow boots and gear to the pool, and unfortunately there are insufficient private locker rooms (essentially just a one stall bathroom) so no great way to shower (open air shower in pool area), dress kids and dry hair before going back out in the winter to walk back to your room.
Cons: - Check in is horrendous. Extremely long line, cramped little main area, and time consuming when you get to the front as most likely your room is not ready and they need to step away for 10 minutes to call housekeeping when you ask - 4pm check in, room not available until 6:30pm after begging, and arrived to a room not even clean (chunks of rocks all over the carpet, hair on the bathroom floor, food in sink, no linens, truly not cleaned) - stayed in the townhouses which we would never do again. There is a reason they have only strategic photos of the rooms and these are not part of Marriott’s rewards program applicable to the main bouse. Even after cleaning the place feels filthy (eg most likely mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinet). Beds are terrible (everyone’s back hurts), the pullout couch has a dip in the middle, appliances are circa 1980s, we plugged air leaks with towels so our kids wouldn’t freeze, and there are open cracks on wall with paint needed everywhere. - the main property has a weird feel, with a large conference room converted to a “game room” (a few board games and hot beverages), and ancient arcade, but with a few lively lounge rooms with fireplaces - everything in need of massive renovation, so not at all worth the price
7,5 Good
Pros: I did like the atmosphere and the staff.
Cons: I expected more for the high price I paid. The doors did not lock properly. The doors were not sealed well. There was a large opening between the door and the wall where it closed.
6,8 Good
Pros: Staff/pool
Cons: Room was dated and beds not comfortable
7,0 Good
Pros: The faculty and service were very nice
Cons: Confusion about where I booked. I did it by phone and spoke toa person and asked if this indeed was the hotel. Did confirm the day before and asked for a early check in by 1 hour. Thought I booked in hotel and instead they said I was across the street. Went there and Did not fell safe it was very hot. No one to greet you and I lugged my suitcase upstairs, I am 71 years old and alone. Came back to Hotel was given a room but it was not clean. Eventually received a very nice room thanks to the lovely person at the front desk. Then went to get my car and it was stuck behind many cars in front of hotel. Another unfortunate delay This process left me getting into my room very at almost 5 i’clock. After driving for four hours I just wanted to change and freshen up. I was late to my event by 1 and half hours. The whole experience was very stressful. I have stayed here before and everything was great, but not this time. Thank you for listening. I checked out around 9 o’clock am Chias st driving i Room not ready after 4 Which made Mel Late for my event y an hour and s half

Pros: Staff was nice but there is literally 2 people working at the entire hotel. That’s the only thing good about this place.
Cons: Felt like we were in a horror movie, half the place was shut down, completely run down. It was like this place hadn’t been touched since the 80s. So much potential it’s sad but it really needs some serious renovations. Maybe worth 20 bucks a night and we paid close to 200.

Pros: I had the suite and it was nice. I just stayed one night because I was shooting a wedding in the area. The owners/managers were very nice and a late check in (9pm) was no problem and they even contacted me the day of to make sure I still was checking in. When I checked out the owner asked me if everything had been to my satisfaction and I said yes, and showed me where the coffee was right in the lobby so I could take some on the road home. I think they had some basic breakfast stuff like bagels, as well. :) I also noticed that the pool area looks nice and well-kept, and there's what looks like a covered trampoline area for kids.
Cons: The only suggestion I might add--and this really isn't a complaint, just a suggestion--I had the suite and it was obvious they had done some very nice things to the kitchen (stainless steel appliances and new floor, etc) is that the rugs are older and don't really match with the new decor as far as quality goes. The bathroom was also done over to look very modern, so they older rugs don't match.
