Big room with cute garden in back, big fridge & close to venue
Bath tub & counters in room were very slippery, most likely from shared cleaning/polish rag. Tub was so slippery I couldn't stand & fell entering, hurt my elbow, knee, foot & head while at international sports tournament. Manager came up (9:15pm) & after an hour told me there was nothing he could do, then offered me a different room(10:20pm), but refused to assist me in moving to other room even t...Read more
Location Price Check in was fast Check out was fast Hot water is very hot. Room was spacious.
Spotty almost non-existent Wi-Fi connection First room we checked into had not been cleaned, we had to go back to the front to let them know they had checked us into a room that had not been cleaned. Asked that the person who parked so close to my in-laws come down to move their car, person wasn't a registered guest, front desk did nothing, ignored us until we walked away. Was the dirtiest filthiest motel I've ever stayed in The frogs are screaming all night the place is a mess I'll never go back
Checking in was easy and fast. The staff was friendly!
The room smelled musky. The carpet was grimy and so was the covers. It made us itch. No coffee maker.
Air condition
The service staff was unorganized took one hr to check in..
Nothing
The broken toilet seat, the ants coming out of the sink, broken sliding door, hair in the bath tub and the general mold. That was just in the room. The rest of it was run down and not maintained. We should have been paid to stay there
Location
Old, stinky, falling apart...literally. would not recommend to anyone.
Well, it is old and dirty, mold every where. I did not get what I booked for. The worst is the coqui frogs killing me. I have to cancelled my second day booking and move to next door. After moving to next door, Ninalao hotel I can really tell the different. Overall, I definitely felt I was over charged for the stay in Uncle Billy. No more there.
Was very pleased with my stay. Location is steps to Hilo Bay, next to the Queen Lili'uokalani garden right on Banyan Dr. Gregg at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Slightly older facility, and the tree frogs do quiet down after midnight. Good value.
