Book Hertz car hires in Santa Clarita

Not so good

Pros: Was not told there would be a $200 hold on my account. To rent the car. If I pre pay the car that should be it. Not happy at all and will not recommend Hertz.

Pros: The affordability of the weekend rate.

Cons: I called Hertz the day before and asked if they can drop me off my house after I drop off the rental. The agent said that they couldn't because I lived more than a mile away and they are a 2 man operation. I thought that they offer drop off and pick up. The agent said that if I want drop off and pick up that I should go to Enterprise. The day of pick up, I was informed that there were no cars. They overbooked and there were 7 other people besides me waiting for cars. The agent said that 3 of them prepaid and that most likely there will mot be a car for me and I should look elsewhere. Even though Hertz is closest to my home, I will never go back yo them. Very poor customer service and rude agents.

Disorganized and completely unprofessional

Cons: Upon picking up my rental from the canyon country, CA location- I was informed my rental had not been cleaned and was offered a car wash voucher to take care of it myself. I declined; seeing j was simply renting the car to get back home in the Lake Tahoe area. Driving the vehicle- no problems, didn't eat or drink in the car and am not a smoker. I simply wanted to get home. I returned the vehicle to the Harrahs casino location, left the keys in the drop box and called the original canyon country location to confirm I had dropped the keys properly (I did not feel comfortable simply leaving car/keys without checking out with the attendant). The following day my bank acct states I had been over charged by hertz- I contacted customer care and told them the situation and she informed me I had been charged for cleaning- I immediately contact the canyon country location and asked them to contact the harrshs casino location to confirm with them that I was not responsible for the unkept nature of the car- I had picked it up in canyon country with no cleaning been done prior to me renting the car. The gentlemen (Sam) at the canyon country office has attempted to contact the harrshs location for two days, along with myself trying to contact them- they are not answering any phone lines. I will continue to attempt to resolve this- and I will never rent from hertz again- seeing How impossible this whole situation has become. How unprofessional the harrshs casino location has been is something I've never experienced with any business. Please resolve this issue. I'm exhausted attempting to fix your companies lack of communication between branches
