5,0 Okay
Pros: Spacious and clean
Cons: Not much western tv channel
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Facilities
4,5 Okay
Cons: The whole building has only one system of either heat or A/C depending on the season. Either you are roasted to death (30.5c +) or too cold depending on what kind of crazy weather system goes thru the area. It could be hot as hell one day and snow the next. Bathroom in your own room smells like public toilet.
7,5 Good
Cons: The hotel staff in the cafe mention to us that the breakfast valid only for 0ne person per room, after we check again in the last day to the manager of the hotel confirmed that the breakfast valid for two persons. Within arguing with the hotel finally we got refund one person for breakfast. We book for 4 rooms and 5 days length.
6,3 Good
Cons: They had no records of our booking !!!! Then we showed them the proof we booked a room on booking.com. They didn't care pretending they had no records in their listing. The receptionist was awful and disrespectful. A nightmare... We had to "fight" to get a room...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and modern. Amazing breakfast buffet. Will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely. Keep booking Wanda for a reason. Proper 5* hotel. Great design. Friendly, professional, helpful staff. Amazing breakfast buffet - everything from fried bacon to baozi. Loved the breakfast coffee machine. Great location close to some big malls. Easy access from train station / airport.
Cons: Room was very, very hot. Even with the window open. Even on the coldest setting, aircon was wheezing out hot air. Never thought I'd be too hot in a Harbin winter!
4,5 Okay
Cons: Room wasn't ready at booking check-in time - nothing was done to accommodate us...

5,5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast is okay. Do not expect too much. Only one kind of cheese is available. Restaurant Xiang-Chu is also okay for a local style dinner. Service desk is helpful.
Cons: I have traveled with my families, booked two rooms. Actually one room is okay. Another one is disaster, this is a none smoking hotel. The moment I entered the room, I found terrible smell of cigarette and a pile of cigarette ash on the balcony without cleaning. Called the front desk to solve this problem, wait for at least 30 min to get a not helpful solution at all. I keep one of my room card in the room to keep air conditioner running. But after get back and find the room card is missing. Call lobby and find out that cleaning lady just take it away. For extreme case I can call this stealing, to take my belongings without asking my permission. Also the elevator is equipped with card scanning function to assure the security. Actually this function has not activated during daytime. I can go to any floor without my card. This can also reflect that the management of this hotel is not at the same level comparing with other 5 Star hotel in other city.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: superb view from room
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and bed is comfy. Hotel staff are friendly as well.
Cons: The location. It will be good if there's free shuttle bus to some locations.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful. There were four different restaurants that were all either very good or excellent.
Cons: The wait time for the food in the restaurants was varied and sometimes a bit long. It was only a problem when our kids were hungry.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It is value for money. Staff and services are good.
Cons: Location - it is beside the highway with nothing is around. Congeries - Taxi was called by Hotel Congeries, the taxi charged us 100% more than a usual meter. I would suspect there is connection between both parties to split the extra monetary gain. Hope this is Wrong guess as it is a 5 Stars Hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: New hotels, facilities are good as standard as Shangri-la group
9,3 Excellent
Pros: fantastic view and very nice room! perfect to get to the ice festival very nice gym and spa facilities
Cons: breakfast buffet good quality but not fully refilled
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is new and comfortable. The water pressure for the shower was great. The staff were helpful. Convenient to get around. Would recommend!
Cons: It is located across the songhua river, opposite side of the central street. It’s not far but became the excuse of multiple taxi drivers to want to charge a higher price because it was “far”..so getting a taxi back relatively later at night was rather a hassel. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything
Cons: Everything perfect
9,3 Excellent
Pros: 1. Outstanding service. Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our vacation special 2. Large room with an excellent view of the city skyline as well as ice world 3. Very new, modern hotel 4. Great Chinese restaurant with excellent food and service

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Week wifi at upper floor
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: They do not accept credit cards
9,5 Excellent
Pros: the hotel's in a great location - about 100 yards from Central street and about 200 yards from Zhaolin park. it's near the bus route 47 that goes to the ice and snow festivals across the river, it's close to the cablecar too. it doesn't have many facilities but the rooms are very warm and comfortable and mine had a radiator in the shower - fabulous when it's so cold outside. it's slightly shabby, but I rather liked that - and expected it for the money. I didn't ever get up in time for breakfast so I don't know what that's like (breakfast is 0700-0830)
Cons: They don't take visa although the description says they do. I had intentionally gone for a pre-paid booking as I find it very hard to use my credit cards (visa and mastercard) in China. Booking.com contacted me to say that the hotel hadn't taken the money so I needed to pay there which is exactly what I had tried to avoid - I had to give them cash and very luckily I found a cashpoint nearby on central street that took visa but that doesn't always happen in China, so make sure you take enough money to pay cash. The girls on reception didn't speak english, but they did try their very hardest to communicate.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location was just off one of the main pedestrian streets. Not far from Sofia Cathedral and easy to find after disembarking the airport bus. The rooms were decent size and well heated with adequate shower facilities. It is a lot cheaper than other hotels in the area.
Cons: The staff as advertised only speak Chines which can be difficult if you dont speak it. We have a little so it was enough to get by but for anyone who doesnt it may be difficult. As we had didi we also didnt need anything like taxis or tours so we had little need for good reception. The breakfast only served from 6:30 to 8:00am and was very poor in standard.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: It's very good.
Cons: I think at this tourist destination the staff should be English spoken to facilitate the people

3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.only the service staff at the Executive lounge was diligent n customer focused
Cons: everything was 3rd rated, not 5star, probably 3star overall....especially outdated 30yr old rundown facility, facade, and room, breakfast was local n bare simple, and frontdesk was below standard in customer service n knowledge
7,0 Good
Pros: Modern hotel
Cons: Staff don’t speak English
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were amazing! The pool was the perfect temperature for a cold day. The room was a very good size and all the amenities. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast as it had a wide range of choices.
Cons: If you are there for the ice festival, it is a little far, but we liked the location in front of a park where the kids could run around. Everything else was great!
6,3 Good
Pros: - location next to shopping mall with enough variety of restaurants, however not too close from river and main tourist attractions - swimming pool open even during the winter - warm and clean rooms
Cons: - not very friendly staff on front desk (maybe intern): discussion between each other during the check in, serious face when we had a problem with credit card instead of some words kind of "don't worry, maybe it's a temporary problem with terminal". BTW: it was a problem with terminal as finally occurred. - poor breakfast: very very little choice of meats, stale bread, poor quality of tea and coffee, no juices (always we needed to ask and ask staff to bring us) - leftover food poured into a bucket that was in the breakfast room - it was clear that kitchen has problem with serving continental breakfast and servicing foreign guest - extremely slow internet - some little things needed to be renovated already, although hotel seems not to be very old one. Generally those two points are enough to say it was 3 star hotel service for 5 star price.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location is good given that it's next to Wanda shopping mall with additional food options for lunch/dinner. The staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful, specifically the general manager and the concierge manager. They made our trip for the Harbin ice festival nice and stress free. We had an easy time ordering a DiDi car/taxi to/from the hotel.
Cons: My only constructive critique is that they need to work on their food quality and restaurant table presentation. Some breakfast options need improvement, such as their bread pudding and crepes (served/displayed cold), and breads (not so fresh); also their mango cake dessert at their cafe (hard jelly-like rather than a mousse texture). A chipped mug was also displayed at my table during breakfast. A careful consideration of these details would definitely ensure Sofitel Harbin is a 5 star hotel.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel to stay at. Very clean, super helpful and friendly staff. We had a great time!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast not so great after all . Quite below par compared to other Sofitel hotels . However , there are some staffs like Hedy , Terry , Mike who went the extra miles to offer their professional services to us during our stay during the Lunar New Year period . Overall quite satisfied .
Cons: I do understand that some of the staffs ought to work in restaurant and cafe during the Lunar New Year period , and that could be the key reason that they occasionally pulled long faces when providing services to us .
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, great staff, nice location, easy to get around.
Cons: The food could have been better, the burgers weren't to be expected. the morning breakfast good value for money. 2 bars and a coffee area, only one staff member, quiet disappointing couldn't use the other areas as short staffed.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: When we arrived late at night, the staff at the reception wasn’t very welcoming, and didn’t speak much English
5,5 Okay
Pros: The hotel located in the good centre of the city. Clean. Close to shopping mall and park.
Cons: The staffs should be better trained for hospitality and maybe a little english. The price shown in this site is not final, prepare to pay for up to 40% extra. Price shown in our booking was just a little bit more than 5000CNY but ended up paying around 8000CNY. If you didn't get the breakfast-included package, go out for breakfast else where. It's expensive.
Overview Reviews
The hotel is located on the 24th floor of Hushi Building, which is 30 metres beside the Rail Station. A direct bus to the Airport is available right outside of the hotel, as well as direct bus No. 11 and 96 to the West Rail Station. 4th Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University is a 5 min walk, while Qiulin Business Circle and Subway Station (Museum Station) are a 10 min walk.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: ------
6,8 Good
Pros: Location was closed to the railway station
Cons: When I arrived at the hotel showing the staff booking page I've booked, which was in English. They just showed me the way to the railway station. They don't understand anything except Chinese. The way they reacted was also terrible.
6,8 Good
Pros: The room was newly decorated and very clean, very comfortable bed, new and clean bed linen and towels, the bottle of water every day, they gave us a tea bag when we arrived which was great as we were traveling in Harbin in January and it was great to be able to drink tea after we arrived. The room facilities were really good value.
Cons: The bathroom had smoking smell, but we turned in ventilation every time we came in and it helped to get rid of the smell. The most annoying thing about my visit was constant renovation going on in the hotel and next to my room! We arrived late at night and we had to wake up early, because the renovation started in the room next to ours. It continued up to 11 o’clock. When I asked the receptionist how long this renovation was going to be, they assured me it stopped that day. But the next morning it started again in the opposite room and then again and again. Even on January, 1 they started it at 8.30! I think the hotel staff should consider telling about such things on booking.com or before checking in or offer the rooms on the floors where renovation has finished. I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and never was able to get enough sleep!
5,5 Okay
Cons: The room which they gave was different from the pictures. On the pictures it was a room with a big window but they gave me the room with a small corner window. I have been there before so I know that the room with small window is cheeper but they refused to change the room. Big disappointment. I booked the expensive room but lived in another room.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: It was classified as a 2 star hotel should be at least a 3 star hotel. Best bed I have slept in for a while. My partner said it was the best coffee she has had in China.
Cons: A little difficult to find go inside a building find the hotel lift and up to the 20 something floor to reception. I had to ask a few people where the hotel was.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the room
Cons: The cleaners did not clean our room and we had to complain before they could do so.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice and friendly staff.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, new furnitured.
Cons: Smoke smell and the location.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Harbin main railway stn 50m ahead. Taxi plenty n drivers ok Food v basic
Cons: Bfast must catch up with other main citys hotels in shanghai, hangzhou , shenzhen .
7,0 Good
Cons: difficult to look for hotel entrance and with only one lift; uncomfortable of fire exit.

9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staffs were really friendly and helpful although they don't speak English. So we communicated via a web-based translator. Breakfast is affordable, it was 25 RMB for buffet and you got two choices of porridge with some stir fry vegetables, traditional breadstick, fried peanuts, salted duck egg (I loved this food), and fruits. You can also have cereal with milk if you want. They also responded to my inquiries fast. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, so you can use public transportation as I did to explore the city. It was wonderful and I enjoyed it.
Cons: The location is close to the Harbin metro project. Of course, this is not permanent, about 1-2 years. FYI, the bathroom shower has a glass door. I mean the access from the bedroom is separated by a glass door. Maybe this makes some of you not so comfortable.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was very good. The room was good and they were so nice to give me a room with a beautiful view of Harbin. Very friendly people and almost everybody could speak english.
Cons: As I was very satisfied with my stay, the only thing I could complain about would be the shower head. There is none, only the installation in the wall and I would have preferred one. But that would be a very minor issue.
7,5 Good
Pros: We had a wonderful waiter named Charles in the Horizon Club dining room in Harbin who made our stay even more enjoyable.
Cons: We found the food to be very traditional and found the staff didn't speak English as well as in Beijing and Shanghai, which was expected.
6,8 Good
Pros: Very close with a great view of the ice festival. Fairly close to central st. English not really understood by many staff. Bruce the concierge was absolutely fantastic.
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms very small. The rooms badly need update. The breakfast area and cafe definitely very old and in need of upgrade.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We spent four nights in Shangri-La Harbin. The service was in general very good. The riverside view or out room was nice and we had a great view to the Ice World. We had breakfast and dinner in the coffee garden restaurant, which was good. Thank you to the coffee garden team. We got every day a separate plate with some cheese. Special thanks to Diana. You are so kind. Thank you to the team of the Horizon Club Lounge, especially Jessica and Charles. They helped us with a pc and internet connection, so that we could rebook our next hotel. It wasn’t possible to do it via Wifi. Also special thanks to the concierge (sorry we don’t know your name). He always helped in any problem about transportation.
Cons: The rooms need some update (at least room 1125), especially the bath. A curtain is a bit old school. Also the room‘s doorknob wasn’t really trustworthy.
7,0 Good
Pros: Most staff helpful. Clean. Great location.
Cons: Not treated like staying in a 5* hotel. No room ready when we arrive at 5pm. No information provided about horizon club facilities or the breakfast which was included. Never asked how we enjoyed the stay. Cheese platter a joke as mainly consisted of cheese slices that are usually found on a burger. Ice restaurant worst meal I have had in china in 2.5 years. Bedrooms too warm and air con didn’t reduce the temperature
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Service is excellet
Cons: the room is quite small
5,0 Okay

Pros: I have been travelling for many years in China now. Harbin and Shanghai are my most popular cities. The Hilton hotel in Harbin is on a top location just close to one of the best shopping Streets in China. Room was very confortable, breakfast was good and the price was amazing low compared to what you got. The shopping street has many great shops and restaurants to eat. Even a restaurant that opened its doors already in 1907. This family invented both the fried ice as well as the famous sweet and sour pork from Harbin
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for Zhong Yang street
