Pros: Really friendly owner. The hotel is located next to one of the busstops of the sightseeing bus. Very nice onsen, you can use this one private.
Cons: We had a loft, so we had to climb upstairs to go to our bed. Not a problem for us, but if you are afraid of hights or a little bit older, this can cause you some problems.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good Location and staff is very friendly and helpful
Cons: None
8,3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast is fantastic !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Although we did not get to see Mt Fuji due to weather conditions, the view would have been great from our bedroom window. We were assisted with baggage and it was very much appreciated.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Teppei-san is really hospitable and goes the extra mile to make guests feel at home! I love the location - there were food options nearby, convenience store within range, and the lovely BnB is just minutes walk from the lakefront where one can just sit and admire the view. I’d highly recommend staying at Weekend Shuffle!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We really have a precious time there, even we have stayed there only one night. The owner is very helpful, giving us a lot for information for attractions & food. He took us to the local bus stop in the morning. The room was very clean and cozy, you can see Mt.Fuji from the window. Will visit there again for my next trip!!!
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and helpful with good honest information. The breakfasts were the best we had in our 3 week stay in Japan.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Teppe was a brilliant host - continually looking for ways to help us make the most of our stay. The hot tub was great, so too were the local beers on sale of an evening in the lounge, and he even helped us order in some sushi in the evening. Breakfasts great. The property is wonderfully located close to the lakeshore. Just a pity that Fujisan decided to be coy during our stay - treating us only to a fleeting but nonetheless impressive glimpse. I would stay here again in a flash.
Cons: Our room was snug for four - but it had everything we needed. We also made good use of the lounge area.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and friendly stuff

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The double level villa is located just infront of Lake Kawaguchiko and facing the beautiful Mt Fuji! The scenery is serene . We liked the space that was big enough for family of 4. Bedrooms & bathroom & toilets were located on 2nd floor and living room n a small kitchen were on 1st floor. There was a back yard with nice green grass patch and a table n chairs provided for you to chill after your day of sightseeing, you can do your barbecue at the backyard too. We woke up at dawn to catch the sun rise :) Cooked breakfast was served every morning , the serving was big .
Cons: The house is a bit old and may need some upgrade renovation. However our stay was comfortable.

Pros: the location is good, but maybe it is summer, there are lots of bugs around the room.
Cons: not exactly sure the breakfast process. i would suggest the host can provide more Japanese style food. also seems there is no dish washer so breakfast were not taken out from room.

Pros: The house is perfect! Everything you need for self catering Views are spectacular. Very quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Little garden was perfect for our toddler to let off steam. Located next to a craft complex which also sells food and beverages. Highly recommend staying here if you need some relaxation time. We had a car so very easy to get to.

Pros: Definitely a lot of tourists but despite that, I felt the actual experience was really amazing. The dinner in your room was huge and delicious. The private onsen on the patio overlooking the lake was perfect. Buffet breakfast was amazing. I didn’t do the group onsen because I have tattoo so I can’t speak to that. Overall would definitely recommend

Pros: Service was excellent, dinner was great, onsen was lovely, and the shuttle service was good too.
Cons: A bit on the pricey side, but knew that going into it for the room with a private onsen. The tatami mats were great but the traditional beds needed more padding for us foreigners...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing the hottub/onsen on our balcony was amazing the mount fuji view was amazing, we had a delicious and traditional japanese style meal served to our room, sadly we dont have the name of the woman who attended us but she was fabulous, absolutely a great hotel not just for the location and food but for the experience alone it was worth it. 8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice interior, friendly staff
4,6 Okay
Pros: The room itself was really quite beautiful
Cons: Oh many things, first off, it’s not an onsenji. That is not true . I had a small bath out in the garden, though lovely is not making up for the fact that this is not a bath house! There is NO view of Mount Fuji from anywhere on the property It is also quite far (I would say a twenty minute walk ) to the lake they say they are close to. They misrepresent what they are!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms, lovely private bath.. Superb diner. Best of all a fantastic host ! Will return for sure
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had the Deluxe Suite with Open Air bath, it was magnificent. The Tatami styled room was amazing and the Onsen was spectacular. We loved the check-in inside the room, very comfortable. There were Yukatas in the closet. The futons were much more comfortable than we had expected. The Japanese breakfast was outstanding, also the Western breakfast was great. Staff spoke English and were very warm and friendly. We were provided one car trip free of charge (we chose the pick up from the station). We had some issues with our bank during checkout and we had to wait for hours to have it fixed; the staff were very kind and served us green tea while we waited in the reception area.
Cons: A little bit expensive
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere
Cons: Not straight forward to find
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for just one night; it was fun to contrast the modern hotels of Tokyo with a more traditional onsen experience. Once you're inside, the property is incredibly tranquil and transmits a wonderful feeling of calm and relaxation. Service and staff are rather traditional, but warm. They stay out of your hair and do their best to leave you be. The futon bedding was super plush and comfortable - had a great night's sleep on the floor! And of course, having your own onsen right outside was a really fun bonus. The breakfast was incredibly abundant and really delicious - it was almost too much for such an early hour! I'd recommend the Japanese option for something more authentic, but the Western option was equally as appealing.
Cons: Overall, we liked our stay, but consider it to have been a rather pricey experience for what we got. The facilities, while all well-maintained and clean, are a little outdated at this point, with a bit of an 80s/90s feel. There is a newer wing of the hotel (which is where the restaurant is located), so perhaps the rooms located there are more contemporary while maintaining a traditional style and feel. Check-in and check-out times are very strict; note that staff will ring your doorbell unannounced the morning you're supposed to leave to take your credit card and secure payment! Having two TV's in the room seemed excessive; it would have been nice if they were either tucked away behind a screen or not there at all. While the hotel property itself is very quiet and peaceful, note that it's located at a rather big intersection. This won't affect your stay at the hotel per se, but if you're imagining a secluded or remote kind of set-up, you might be surprised when you pull up.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room and hot spring was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Rooms were clean and they provided extra bedding for the kids as well.
Cons: The hotel was a little close to the main road, so noise was a bit of a bother. They also do not cater for people with shellfish allergies, but is understandable for Japanese style dinners.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful resort onsen. We had an onsen suite which meant we had our own private onsen. It was wonderful to use as the nights were chilly. Loved it! The staff was excellent and spoke great English, which was quite helpful since our Japanese is very basic! We would stay here again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed in this hotel so much! It was one of our best experience in Japan. The hotel has Japanese design with all amenities needed. The dinner was unforgettable and Delicious! And we saw Fuji mountain in the morning :)
Cons: Nothing, great hotel!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All things were perfect except one little thing. We asked for picked up for arrival to train station and we’re waiting yet the answer.
Cons: Same above.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A great Onsen hotel that pays attention to all details!

Cons: hot water for drink should be provide in each floor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice view (you can see Fuji Mt in good weather) very very very nice and hospitable staffs. We request for boiled egg and they served immediatly although it is not in menu. They even prepared breakfast boxes for us since we had to check out before breakfast time.
Cons: the room was rather small for 4 people but it was not big problem at all. Personally, dinner was not my favourite taste (not bad but not enough to say it was delicious)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding views of Mt Fuji. Incredibly prepared Japanese cuisine of the highest standard. Shuttle bus was regular and efficient. Onsen with view of Mt Fuji. Exceptionally helpful and courteous staff everywhere.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: No complaints at all. Their staffs are one of the best I’ve met throughout my japan trip. Keep it up!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Felt rather special. Very friendly and helpful staff even by Japan's high friendly and helpful standards. Fabulous onsens (hot public baths) with great views (including of Mt Fuji, when it's not hiding behind clouds). Great location on the lake, excellent shuttle service between hotel and station, and a nice gift shop. Would recommend booking breakfast before you arrive. We'd already eaten by the time we got there, but the restaurant for evening meals looked very nice. We were in a shared room for 3 which came with a comfortable lounge area, fridge, kettle and a good-sized shower/toilet room. Beds v comfy. Our room was not facing Fuji or the lake, but as it was dark when we arrived and grey when we left, that hardly mattered. Highly recommend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place to stay. The staff were so helpful and the room was great with the view of the lake and Mt Fuji in the background. The breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed the onsen. I would definitely recommend this place.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff and very hospitable, Keen to help you in every manner possible The view of mount Fuji from the room is out of this world and worth the admission fee
Cons: The beds were traditional Japanese beds that moved apart at night. Not a large King bed for you to sleep comfortably in. Not really a soft cushioned bed They ration their towels which is something that you need to adapt to

Pros: Nice place, mind service, more private and delicious dinner and breakfast
7,9 Good
Pros: We get the full view of Mount Fuji in our room There were 1 hour bath time scheduled for each room so the shared bathroom was actually private Breakfast was great Very clean The hostess was a bit scary at first but turned out she is very kind
Cons: If you didn’t book dinner, the nearest restaurant was 2 km away and there was no transportation after 17:30 and we ended up having no dinner No morning shower The wall was very sharp (you will see when you get there)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is awesome! You have a great view of Mt. Fuji from the room and the bath was nice because it's actually private (if that's something you would prefer).
Cons: This was my first experience at a Ryokan and instructions on how to set up the beds would have been helpful.

There are two private open-air baths available by reservation, where guests can enjoy views of Mt. Fuji while soaking in natural hot springs. Meals feature plenty of fresh ingredients. Guest rooms are Japanese inn style, and every room has views of Lake Shoji and Mt. Fuji.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived super late at 9:30pm as we had climbed Mount Fuji and had to taxi to the property as it was out of the way from our previous hostel. There isn’t much around it so make sure u get the dinner option. Didn’t think we would get dinner since we were so late but the owner was super nice and had it ready. It was definitely a super traditional meal. The property is out dated but you still get the experience of staying in an Onsen and it was worth the price. You get what u see in the pictures.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The great view and the hot spring is very exiting. The dinner in the hotel is very good, especially the beef. The staff in the counter is very helpful.
Cons: I didn't find anything that I don't like. THe location of the hotel is very good. The hotel is old,but very clean. The hot spring is very good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: First the DINNER!! If you plan to go to this hotel without taking dinner, you will regret it too much if you see someone eating kaiseki style artful dinner at the restaurant with Mt. Fuji view. Overall atmosphere was great and so relaxing. After going up to Mt. Fuji Panaroma trek, it’s so good to relax in the private onsen. They let us reserve for free the private onsen twice for just 1 night stay. The traditional room is huge and the view is breathtaking. The staff is very kind too and there’s a young lady speaking very well English. I was afraid that it would be so difficult to reach there after i read other comments but finally we just followed google map bus propositions and it was pretty easy.
Cons: From the outside hotel doesn’t look so charming and it looks very old but once inside, especially in the room, everything is perfect. Compared to many other ryokan prices, after searching for a long time, i think this place is the best to live the experience(you must take half-bord option)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very very good view for the stay
Cons: nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The views from the hotel rooms and the private onsen was amazing. The dinner served at the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Hot water in the shower doesn't come immediately sometimes. A local cat stole my onigiri while sitting near the lake (watch out for cats).
7,9 Good
Pros: The location is nice, just in front of Mount Fuji, with a nice view. Not so easy to reach by public transport, but very close to the bus stop. There is nothing to do at eveneing nearby, but is a great place to relax for a couple.
Cons: Not much to do in the evening, not flexible for dinner. you need to book dinner in advance, or need to walk out to a nearby restaurant, but that closes at 6PM.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This place is great. It gave us a really nice Ryokan experience. You get fresh green tee to your room all day and the onsen is free to use. The rooms have an astonishing view of Mount Fuji. Also the food (price not included) is awesome. Even though I am vegan, it was absolutely no problem. I really recommend this place!
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Cons: Perfect location and very nice dinner also the owner .
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is run by a young couple. They are kind and helpful, and also thanks to them I very much enjoyed my stay. The rooms are simple and not roomy, but perfectly adequate. Breakfast and dinner is simple too: a few choices of dinner, fixed times as they don't run a restaurant "cuisine". I ate there 3 evenings, and enjoyed most of their options. Water and tea or coffee (depending on the time) are for free at the meals, prices are very reasonable. The host is also a Mt Fuji guide. I always climb on my own, but he can tell you all there is to know and also organise your hike up the sacred mountain, if you are so inclined. (If you have little experiences - be warned, it's a serious hike - prepare yourself.) The host also can pick you up from the railway station and other places - call them to use this option, as it's a 15 min drive and quite expensive by taxi. As the host also doubles in the kitchen work, he is not available around breakfast and dinner, so make sure to communicate well, prerably in advance. They have bicycles standing outside that you can use. I really loved the hot bath they have. With views on Fuji.
Cons: I have no idea!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The guest house is located in a very beautiful natural area, we like it very much. it's away from the noise of the city, have good view to the fuji mount from the window. The host is very nice, they drive the guest to kawakuchiko station every morning, and picked up the guests from there in the afternoon. Hotel is very comfortable, and it has cozy dinning room, bar and beautiful view, simple but home tast food. You also have chance to have private hot bath. Definitely highly recommendable if you would like to explore fuji mount area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful; views were breathtaking; food was extremely tasty; and the onsen relaxing after a hard day of hiking. Would highly recommend

Pros: Hospitality & time keeping was good. Onsen was nice and warm.
Cons: May be the design of onsen can be a bit better
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable rate and an experience of Japanese guesthouse stay
Cons: May be inconvenient for people who dont drive as location is quite remote and far away from main road. Seems there is free shuttle service for pickup and return from guesthouse to Oishi Park at designated timings. Check directly with guesthouse for this service as we did self drive to Sakuya.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular Fuji-san view from the room on second floor. Soothing private onsen which help to loosen up muscle muscles after climbing Fuji-san. Excellent Nihon style breakfast.
Cons: A bit remote. If it rains uneasy to walk around the neighborhood.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Very bad dinner. Acceptable breakfast.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location and views. The buffet breakfast was extensive with lots of Japanese items and a chef frying eggs for people with more of a western taste. The location is on the top floor which gives you excellent views of the lake and Mount Fuji.
Cons: The bathroom is old style with a very short soaking tub and a sink that barely comes above your knees.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most beautiful, hotels I’ve stayed in Japan. The location it’s excellent. The staff was diamond in every aspect. The facilities unique with exceptional views.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great buffet breakfast & the French restaurant was Devine
Cons: Beds are a bit hard
7,1 Good
Pros: Great view of the lake from our room. Good size bedroom and lovely breakfast
Cons: Could do with updating but had a traditional Japanese feel
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast( western)
Cons: The hotel could use a good renovation
7,1 Good
Pros: Good location in the village with functional facilities. As a full disclosure, the hotel is divided into a west and east wing. West wing is older and somewhat run down, we had some moist stains in the room and found a bug. However, the east side is significantly better. Breakfast was great and staff was very professional and nice. As an example they provided food to our room when our som was sick despite not having an official room service - truly excellent service! Despite the room for improvment in some areas we were satisfied with our stay.
Cons: Se above re. East/West wing but we were mostly satisfied and would stay here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent room service and staff with fantastic views.
Cons: N/A
7,0 Good
Pros: Great breakfast with an amazing view of Fuji. The view from the rooms is not as great but the breakfast room view is fantastic. Nice Onsen downstairs as well. Lovely views and lakes around. Nice little Indian restaurant a few mins away as well for anyone who fancies a curry in Japan!
Cons: Check in and Check out times are always an issue I have with hotels. Why allow some in at 3 and then make them leave by 10? For one night only travellers, this can be annoying. But again, not really a major issue. Just requires planning.

Guests can get to Nagahama Ryokan via the Fuji Express Bus from Kawaguchiko Station. Nagahama Ryokan has nearly a century of history and is a well-established traditional Japanese inn. It is equipped with a banquet hall and restaurant. Guests can enjoy traditional Japanese Kaiseki cuisine in the restaurant. All meals are made with local ingredients in season including organic vegetables, all selected that day. All rooms are Japanese-style and non-smoking. Internet access is available in guest rooms.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I especially liked the location, by Lake Kawaguchiko and the very authentic feel of the place. It was very comfortable with a special mention for the nice Japanese style bath, perfect to relax.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very accommodating and friendly. Bikes were available and much more reasonably priced than in Kawaguchiko town. The bike ride along the lake is breathtakingly beautiful and you'll have it mostly to yourself since tour groups flock to the Oishi park area (10-15 min bike ride). Yukata are provided for onsen and shower. Hot water and tea pot were waiting for us in the room. Futon beds were very comfortable. Food at the restaurant was very fun and delicious. We ordered a breakfast and dinner and they provided set meals for each.
Cons: The free shuttle to/from the station is only available when the owner is available. We had to take a 2000 yen taxi since the owner had a group dinner at the restaurant when we arrived. Breakfast and dinner are available at the restaurant for very reasonable prices but you must arrange these in advance. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant. Shared shower area is the traditional onsen style.

Pros: Nice peaceful location on the quieter end of the lake.

Pros: I had one of the most memorable experiences of my trip there. The owners daughter is lovely!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Close proximity to the lake and the quietness of the area

Pros: The staff was very helpful and welcoming. It's located in a very quiet town. The view from the room was beautiful.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was a wonderful stay! The owner and his daughter so friendly, helpful and went out of their way for me. The owner picked my luggage up when I arrived (kawaguchiko station). I went site seeing and later he picked me up from Kawaguchiko Station to take me back to the Ryokan that evening - what a service! The food is so delicious! The flavours so tasty. If you are fussy with food or dont like seafood you may have an issue. In that case mention it and im sure they will look after you. There wasnt a menu, I just ordered breakfast and dinner and it was a surprise! A MUST SEE and do is to take one of the bikes out. They are at the front of the ryokan and free. Turn left out of the ryokan and ride for about 10 minutes at a normal pace. You will be greeted with a view of the top of Mt Fuji - stunning! This ryokan is away from the hoards of the tourists in a quiet area. There is a parking area and the lake. You can sit and enjoy the view. If you ride a bit further you will get even more of a view and a wider part of the lake - again, stunning! Highly recommend staying here for some peace and quiet.

Pros: It was everything amazing. An amazing experience! The food (if you orderer) was deliciuous. Everything perfect.

Pros: The location was really peaceful. Some great walks. The Onsens were great after a day walking
Cons: A bit dated but cute.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent view of mount Fuji from our room; Delicious Japanese dinner; Walking along the shores of Shoji lake
Cons: We liked all there; The jacuzzi needs to be fixed
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The overall atmosphere is very good. The hotel is in front of Lake Shoji and facing to Mt.Fuji especially on the 3rd floor the room if facing directly to the mountain. The staff was superb and very friendly and impressive with kind and enthusiastic support. Although this hotel was not modern as comparing to other hotels, it provide us the traditional style of living and sense of Japan. Moreover at the 3rd floor of the hotel, they have a small gallery collected about Mt.Fuji in each character where difficult to see now.
Cons: The private baht might not big at all but clean and completed with all complimentary.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was lovely. We booked the Japanese style twin room. It was spacious and had a fantastic view of Mount Fuji and Lake Shoji. The scenery right out our doorstep was simply breathtaking. We also loved the breakfast and dinner included in our stay. They were delicious, healthy and scrumptious. The staff were very friendly and always tried their best to help us despite some language barrier. We absolutely recommend this hotel for those looking for a quiet, beautiful place to relax.
Cons: The hotel is located quite far from Kawaguchiko Station, but I believe that’s why it’s less touristy and you get to enjoy the quietness around the area
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, onsen was relaxing. Just make sure you ask a room with view on the lake - with Mt Fuji in the background. You can take terrible pictures from your room. Staff was very nice.
Cons: Hotel looks like a pension out of time. Bathroom equipment show its age - no washlet ;-) Only one restaurant close-by - but it closes at 7pm, be careful!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay friendly staff very helpful despite limited English really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Excellent hot baths
Cons: Hotel a little old but I really liked that, quite genuinely retro, others may not
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is extremely friendly and lovely. Because all surrounding restaurants were closed, they cooked dinner only for me. I am very happy that I booked this beautiful hotel with two very big onsen - I even stood up earlier to enjoy an onsen bath before checking out. It is very easy to get to the hotel from Kawaguchiko by public bus! I will surely come again, when I am in Japan next time!

Pros: Fantastic views of Mount Fuji. The hotel has beautiful grounds and even a small golf course. The staff was so nice and helpful. The hotel is older but clean and comfortable with so much more charm than some of the newer ones. The shuttle to and from the station was much appreciated.
Cons: Nothing. Top notch for the money.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location , we loves to walk around the lake , bicycle provided for riding , nice staffs with good in English and absolutely excellent breakfast
Cons: Good location, room space are larger than standard room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: we booked a Japanese-style room with Mountain Fuji view. The day we arrived it was cloudy and rainy, so there was no luck to see the mountain. But the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They have printed out a brief onsen guide for residents, which is especially useful for people like us who have no experience in onsen. The onsen has indoor and outdoor poor and it is clean and cosy. Also the 6th floor is a panoramic lounge, providing 360 view of Mount.Fuji and the surroundings. We went there the morning before leaving, it was a stunning view.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, Good Fuji view Nice onsen Spacious room
Cons: Restaurant : Food was very good Atmosphere of the room itself could be improved
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The view of Mount Fuji was amazing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had superior Japanese style room with Mount Fuji view - amazing. The Onsen was brilliant especially after three days intensive cycling around the lakes and the hills. Beautiful area and two minute walk to the lake. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and fresh and well cooked. On the whole good value in what is an expensive (but beautiful) area accommodation wise.
Cons: The hotel is very lovely but as we were in a group it would have been nice to have had a bar to meet up in although there is a communal area with tables and there were vending machines for beer and soft drinks and a vending arrangement for a selection of wines too. The hotel is a little out of town and has an hourly free shuttle bus but this finishes early at 6.30 making it necessary to book taxis to go out to eat. The hotel restaurant is expensive and has limited choice but I was aware of this at booking. There are however plenty of restaurants in the area some within walking distance. So these points are made as guidance for prospective bookers rather than complaints as the hotel, the Onsen, the location and of course the view were brilliant.
6,0 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast.
Cons: Lack of a bar facility.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning view of Mt Fuji! We booked 2 nights in a mountain view room, staff were amazing! Very friendly and the grounds were lovely! The free hotel shuttle bus to and from the station was great because a taxi was about 1,400 yen
Cons: Nothing!

Cons: Rooms are dated and tiny but staff are great. They have an excellent English speaker. Public bath house and house clothes were very good. We particularly enjoyed the dinner option. It was delicious and beautifully presented.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very good dinner and breakfast. A wide variety of Japanese dishes that you could try. Delicious and more than enough portion. The onsen on the top floor is also good and you could enjoy outdoor hot spring. Finally all staff are polite and helpful.
Cons: The room toilet has poor ventilation.

Pros: Very quiet location amazing view
Cons: Hard to get to from Kyoto needs a train then bus
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The level of service was amazing.
Cons: The hotel interior is a little tired.
6,3 Good
Pros: The Onsen on the 7th floor with the lake view is nice, and the traditional breakfast and dinner are also cool experiences if you haven’t had a chance to do something similar elsewhere in Japan.
Cons: The hotel feels a bit old. For the traditional rooms this is part of the experience I assume, but for the modern rooms I think it might be a bit too old.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Just one night but staff were amazing. They all turned out to say goodbye in the lobby. Mount Fuji view is on the top floor. Catch it early morning before clouds form.
Cons: Smallish rooms ... but that’s Japan.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and it was one of the best nights sleep I had whilst in Japan. I found the futons very comfortable and the room was a lovely natural environment. It was a great experience from arrival with a welcome drink and the private bath was super with a nice balcony and lake views. The Japanese breakfast was also a great experience!
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved every second of our stay here: from the friendly service (super staff, thank you for all the suggestions, the chats and the help getting around) to the awesome in-room bathtub overlooking the lake, from the AMAZING food (we had Kaiseki twice, never repeated a dish: extremely high quality and plentiful) to the adorable souvenirs shop (some items we didn't find anywhere else around). Not all that difficult to reach (by both JR train and expressway bus from Shinjuku) and with a great shuttle service (though within easy reach walking from the station). Absolutely recommend, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

7,5 Good
Pros: The suite with the Fuji view is nice. We can stare at the view for the whole day. Breakfast was a wide spread and super delicious. Overall was a pleasant experience and all staffs were nice and friendly.
Cons: Served dinner was fully booked which was very sad. There isn't any instruction on how to wear the Japanese robe and rules and regulations for going to the bath in the room. Only down side is that check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am which is pretty restrictive.
5,0 Okay
Pros: I liked the hotel facilities especially the onsens and lobby area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: I only stayed in a room that matched my budget so the higher priced rooms may have been better quality. However the bed sheet was thin and you could see the stains on the mattress protector which was off putting. The bed wasn't comfortable and the room was very dated. It was also noisy as I could here guests in the hallway as well as bathroom fans from adjoining rooms and running water. Also the dinner was fully booked so there was no opportunity to eat on site.
7,5 Good
Pros: Hotel is well located. The staff was very nice and friendly. The baths are great, I preferred the outside ones, a bit cooler. There is also a large place to enjoy drinks, tea etc... on the ground floor.
Cons: We got the cheap room compared to all the fantastic rooms they have. Still, the paint was scratched in many places, the paint was very dark too, it was not quiet because we were just above the generators for the AC - very loud during the night. I also found the bathroom very tiny and the step made it dangerous to exit.
6,7 Good
Pros: There are indoor and outdoor hot springs.
Cons: The hotel is quite old and 15mins walk to train station.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was absolutely incredible. Very traditional with two beautiful Onsens, and very kind and helpful staff. I cannot wait to come back!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Japanese bath was great
Cons: The room is very old. The blanket cover doesn’t even cover the whole blanket. The VERY high price should suffice for more than that
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: There is really not like to much - the entrance and ground floor is fully renovated and looks nice...
Cons: The rooms while they are mentioned as Japanese style are horrible / totally outdated bathrooms are very bad, even then Onsen which are highlighted here in some other reviews are super old and not much enjoyable and look dirty and outdated as well. Once again this would have been all fine if the price wouldn’t have been 720$ for two nights this was just scam and a tourist trap. Side note - hotel does not accept American Express
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Eveything else. Gave us authentic Japanese Tatami room feel, very clean, good Fuji view, awesome Onsen and great staff. They struggle with English but they try their best to accommodate you. Honestly they gave us Kimonos to wear and we were spending our time just exploring the property.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit bland. They had a lot of choices if you have the Japanese breakfast. I usually dont eat fish and rice etc., in the morning and I thought my choices were limited.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Oike was everything I wanted and more. The outdoor bath was such a dream, just like in the picture. I can still remember how tranquil everything was. The staffs were amazing and are so accommodating. There were daily tea, juice and snacks served at the lobby on the first floor, which was really nice after a nice dip in the bath. It is also not far from a bus stop, so we were able to get around just fine! There is also daily shuttle service to Kawaguchiko station so it was very convenient. It is walking distance to restaurants if you opted not to get the meal plan. We can't wait to be back. This was one of my favorite stays in Japan.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view of Fuji-san at the onsen on the 5th floor, don’t loose the opportunity to take a shot of the mountain at the roof (entrance next to the lifts), just wonderful.

Pros: Good onsen and friendy staff

Room sizes were very spacious with great views. The breakfast consisted of a wide variety of western and Japanese style buffets.
Cons: The furnishings are a little out dated at the hotel but still very functional, clean and comfortable rooms. Didn't feel like the best value for money as it was quite expensive compared to other 4 star hotels in for example Tokyo.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night - very pricey but very good food and excellent service. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable as well. Pros: The view is great with the lake and mount Fuji. the free Onsen bath is good, clean and convenience.
Cons: the size of room is too small for 2 people in twin bed room. there is no space for the luggage of 2 people. there should be a shuttle service from the hotel to Kawaguchiko station all day or by request not only morning time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view and large room space. This hotel has the best view of Mount Fuji. Although the exterior of the hotel looks old, the room looks new. The staff are helpful and nice. They picked us up from the station and even help us send a fellow traveller who was stranded at the train station to their hotel at night. They also help me retrieve my stuff that fell into the catch basin. Kudos to the staff.
Cons: Buffet could be better.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room. Nice spa, good breakfast. From the room, you could see Mt. Fuji, with Lake Kawaguchi-ko. Supber view. We came by car, the car was taken care of for parking by staff.
Cons: Bit old furniture, just worn, but everything was very clean
7,5 Good
Pros: The view from the room is amazing. The outdoor onsen was good
Cons: The hotel does not reply to email. Only accept calls. They do have a 24hour front desk
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Staff were most helpful and agreeable. Onsen was nice. The train station pick up was a pleasant unexpected surprise.
Cons: The whole hotel need a serious renovation. Everything seemed a bit chatty and run down. Furniture in the room was stained. Generally a bit threadbare all over. Not dirty just worn out and run down. The dining hall was a bit cold and unappealing, like a hospital cafeteria, cold bright lighting, vinyl chairs, no ambience or attempt at creating a pleasant dining environment. The buffet was very average both for dinner and breakfast. For the price I guess we shouldn't complain but pretty below par for Japanese standards. This place obviously used to churn a lot of tour groups.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Although it doesn’t have a terrace the view by just seating by the window at the lake and Mount Fuji was just amazing

Cons: Bit old(furniture) but very clean
7,9 Good
Pros: Location - Lake side with Mt Fuji view, convenient for a run around the lake, free parking. Onsen - Spacious and with open air onsen.
Cons: Breakfast & dinner - Because meals are buffet style, we had the same food choices for both days.

Pros: The open air onsen, while small, was great to be in at night. It was quiet so I could relax by myself. It is definitely a must when it is cold.

Pros: We stayed in this hotel for the views and experiences. The view of Mount Fuji from our room/private bath was spectacular and the views of the lake and mountains at the front of the hotel was too. The Japanese experience was great. We slept on the floor, they provided kimono's for the ladies and robes for the gents, the onsen experience, and the evening meal was first class. The buffet breakfast gave us good choice of western and Japanese food.
Cons: The hotel is in a very quiet location (this might be to your liking!).
