Located in Charleroi, Van Der Valk Hotel Charleroi Airport is in the business district, a 4-minute drive from European Flight Simulator and 6 minutes from City Hall of Charleroi. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: really nice breakfast, location 10 minutes from airport. airport shuttle by taxi at only 10 eur, so really good deal. beautiful updated lobby and breakfast/dinner space.
Cons: the cooridoors on the -1 floor where my room was look dated, rooms itself looked updated. There was NO wifi reception in my room. No wifi in the room in 2019, that's quite unforgiveable...
Pros: Breakfast in the morning was very pleasant. Also please note that the concierge at the main desk was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: During the night we had a meal in the restaurant in the hotel, the service there was awful. Our table was constantly overlooked, it took us nearly 15 min to get a waiter to bring us the bill, not acceptable. The state of the suite we had was not really to my liking. There were water stains of the shower window from the stay before us and the shower head in the bath tube was dangling no longer fixed to the wall.
Pros: Good location to airport Very clean helpful staff
Cons: Restaurant took a while to be served but food was great
Pros: The main reception area
Cons: Bad service
Pros: The best thing about our stay was efficient check in and the best breakfast we have probably had in Europe - really great variety of food including omelettes and pancakes, I think it is worth every penny for breakfast that is where the good comments end
Cons: Shocking service from bar/restaurant staff - my brother in law arrived before us and waited over 20 minutes for someone to serve him in the terrace area. When we arrived I went straight to the bar to get served but could tell by the surly bar staff this wasnt the done thing. After showering and meeting back on sun terrace again we waited and waited to get someones attention - the staff all seemed to stay inside serving although it was a lovely hot sunny evening - eventually we got a drink after this we moved to the tables outside to get some food - thinking that if the staff saw us on a table and not on sofas they would automatically bring us food menus. In the end I went in and asked for a menu - still no one came to take food order, my husband then went inside and spoke to someone who said he was sorry and it was unacceptable and he would send someone out straight away. 10 minutes later a girl came out to take our order but on learning we were British walked inside as she couldn't understand us - this is not a family run hotel it is a chain!!! I know my grasp of the Belgian language is rubbish but seriously. We did eventually get served and the food was good although took a while as there was a problem with the IPad ordering system. We were by no means the only people who were having problems in fact some people walked out - perhaps the moral is don't sit outside on a lovely sunny evening - we did go inside as it got dark and cold and service wasnt much better but by this time I think the staff were avoiding us. It is such a shame as it is our second visit here and we had a great time first time hence the revisit - NEVER AGAIN
Pros: breakfast superb
Cons: i had NO hotel-wifi reception in my room.
Pros: the location is very close to the airport Brussels Charleroi (just 10 minutes by car)
Cons: the service was unpolite and the carpets in the room were very dirty. It was my third time in that hotel. Until this stay i was very satisfied with the hotel. Specially the service (check-in was very disappointing)
Pros: Modern, clean and staff couldn’t do more to help.
Pros: Big and clean rooms. We get there lateEin the night and left early in the morning, so we did not had the chance to try different services. It is not the closest to the airport option, but we chose it for the parking and all was ok.
Cons: I do not really appreciate the toilet out of the bathroom (in a different room, where there is no washbasin, so you have to go out and get to tha bathroom in order to clean your hands).
Pros: Absolutely NOTHING!
Cons: Worse that terrible. Sketchy would be puting it nicely. This place is abysmal. Do us all a favor, and tear it down and start over. NO AIR CONDITIONING??? I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons, but a lot of the stench of the hotel would go away if you had air conditioning, and it wasn't 85+ degrees and the filth wasn't percolating within itself. Yuck!!
Pros: Breakfast. Not sure how could have been better for choice, quality or staff Room. Nice room but shame about location. See details below
Cons: Room location . Asked for room on higher floors, room description said room with a view. The room was on lowest floor and the 'view' was the supermarket about 30 metres away and side view was storage area or the gas or similar tank. Yes a view but more accurate to just say French Windows to unusable grassy area. Fully appreciate there are worse and better rooms, but the key is to manage expectation. Reception- arrived quite late 10 pm ( which was in line with indicated time when booking) and receptionist was pleasant but not too welcoming. Next day the staff were excellent and welcoming
Pros: Perfect overnight stay after a late flight arriving at Charleroi. Variety of Food and late opening hours at the Restaurant plus a good enormous choice breakfast. Perfect to get you ready for a next destination travel experience.
Cons: Nothing all was perfect.
Located in Charleroi, DC Hotel Charleroi Airport is connected to the airport, within a 10-minute drive of Stade du Pays de Charleloi and Place du Manège. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge at scheduled times.
Pros: Friendly staff, ready to support and answer any question.
Cons: Location. Near airport but with no direct access.
Pros: Great service, very friendly personnel and nice rooms.
Cons: The room was stinking like sweaty feet, we found later that the carpet stinks. We had to venture all the night, so there were mosquitos in the room, we couldn't sleep well. There were also cobwebs in the rooom corners.
Pros: not a lot
Cons: there was no tea making facility's there was no air conditioning the temp was in the 30s the sound of the planes taking of was tremendous it was dear to eat and the breakfast well the bacon was greasy the beans came from a sausage and beans tin that you would buy in a shop when you entered the hotel it was great the place was cool but the rooms were like an oven
Cons: You can’t walk to the airport and the shuttle they provide is 5€/person. It is not near publice transportation, so we’ll alwayd have to take a taxi to get there - there is no uber in Brussels.
Pros: Clean toilet
Cons: Location is not accessible by walking as advised in the web, mostly in the eveening..I had to walk in the dark from the airport to the hotel. NO Clear information about this on the page. Additional 5Eur for the morning shuttle back to the airport were charged. No towels were available in the room! No decent packing of suitcases in the shuttle, the all way we were concerned about their integrity afterwards. There are better options value for moeny around the airport.
Cons: Very good stay, 10 minutes from the airport by car, friendly staff, good quality
Cons: No air conditioned.
Pros: Bed extra comfy, rabits playing in front of our window and unexpected silence. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: Even the location is very clase to the airport, we couldn,t walk and we have bene o bliged to take a taxi, that neant extra cost.

We are 15 min from Brussels South Charleroi Airport via a direct bus route. The Stade du Pays de Charleroi stadium, Spiroudome arena and art galleries are a few minutes from the hotel. Pros: location is good and parking is secure and directly next to hotel
Cons: cheaper parking
Pros: Reasonably priced. Good breakfast. Very handy for railway and bus station to go the airport.
Pros: Location is perfect and the fee is quite affordable.
Cons: They could have offered some cold or hot drinks for free. After a long trip, such kind of small things can be really rewarding.
Cons: Noisey, woken up by cleaner at 9am on sunday morning. Bed was rubbish. Light outside window. Expensive for what it was
Pros: The receptionist was nice and helpful and the room was very clean.
Cons: The staff member that attended the breakfast room didn't re-fill the bread basket, coffee, orange juice etc, we needed to ask for it. The shower head wasn't comfortable.
Pros: Perfect location with a view. Right in front of the train station, next to the shopping mall. Variety in breakfast. Best location for those who have flights from or to CRL. Early breakfast.
Cons: Cleaning was not done properly. Just behind the curtain was a chocolate wrapper. Some weird insect appeared in the washroom. Some of the breakfast plates and spoons looked not properly cleaned as well.
Pros: Great Friendly staff across the river from the main railway station and located in the centre of the town.
Cons: Rooms are dated however there is a notice that the hotel is due a refurbishment soon
Pros: This hotel placed perfectly from the airport shuttle - you just need to cross the bridge and you’re here. Room and bathroom were clean and has fresh towels/sheets. Personal was kind and helpful.
Cons: Service room is very early in this place. Service persons knocked at our door at ~9:40 - which is really too early for normal persons.
Pros: Location ideal for airport
Cons: Reception area too small and near door.
Pros: This budget hotel is a walking distance from the Train Station. If you are flying in/away from the Charleroi Airport then this hotel could be the best option to spend the night.

Then we slept, woke up when house keeping knocked, got up and left. The beds were good and we were happy that check out was at 11 and not already at 10. The hotel is a bit worn down but the rooms, linen and beds are clean :)
Cons: For our purpose (sleeping) all was fine.
Pros: Good and money worthy.
Pros: If it wasn’t for the man at the front desk we would have had a horrible experience. He was very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. Cons: The smell of cabbage in the halls, they need to throw the carpets away.
Pros: Lovely hotel staff
Pros: Very filthy noisy the small is unbearable the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. I booked for three nights I only stayed one night. I’ll not recommend it to anyone
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Smelly toilet. Noisy people and continous rush in the corridor all night long (not the hostel's fault though).
Pros: The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Although there was no bar, there was beer that could be purchased from reception snacks could also be purchased
Cons: The rooms were tiny, the towels provided in the room were only hand towels, the pillows were uncomfortable and there was only 1 for each person , there was no plug in the sink
Pros: The front desk check in was a great experience. He even helped me carry my large bag up the stairs to my room.
Cons: A little far from the train station to walk with a large bag. Hotel is somewhat rundown. Not a large choice in Charleroi in this price range.
