Eureka inn is a truly beautiful place. Built in 1922 and hosted many celebrities and politicians. The decor and furnishings in the hotel just makes you feel like you went back in time through some type of a portal. Cons (-) Terrible service, I booked a room for two nights and after the first night, while I was out the staff removed all of my belongings and locked me out. I did not find out until I tried to enter the room. They just said it was a glitch with their system. With a half apology they returned my items in trash bags and booked me the room. Pros (+) Charming, but musty smelling. Refurbished, but still in need of many things. Cold and very empty over a 3 day weekend. Strange place. I miss the charm and warmth of the olds days at The Eureka Inn. No dining on site due to rats in the restaurant it seems. Place was empty, like a ghost town. Curtains do not black out light in rooms - at all! No chairs in room or clock or fridge. Great location to w...

Pros (+) Once I got over the fact that the facility was in fact an older place from a time of different esthetics, and also as a result I started to appreciate the quaint character.
Cons (-) As it is older, it was harder to get my gear to my room-the parking is really weird. The bathroom is smaller and the older nature of the place made it less convenient than more modern hotels

Pros (+) Guy at the check-in was very friendly and polite. Hotel has character. Continental breakfast provided.
Cons (-) Wifi doesn't seem to reach other than in the lobby. Not luxurious but clean
