Pros: Excellent value for money and really comfortable bed, with good pillows (so got three nights' decent kip). Extremely friendly welcome, would definitely love to pop back again. Nice touches re: the small mint chocolate on pillow after each room clean.
Cons: I came in November when it was a bit chilly. The small radiator beneath the large window probably wasn't great in generating immediate heat in the room, and the shower was not a 'power' one (which I'm used to).

Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, there was a nice bar and restuarant to get a drink or your meals if desired. The breakfast had loads of choice and was very nice. Rooms were comfy, adequate for your needs and good for the price.
Cons: My radiator needed bleeding so wouldn't heat more than just the very bottom and made alot of noise when it was on because of this. The walls of the hotel were thin so a light sleeper would have an issue with this, I could hear my colleague talking in another room.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was very average. Location OK.
Cons: Our room was extremely hot. We turned off the radiator and opened the windows, but it was still too uncomfortable to sleep. The breakfast room, on the other hand, was freezing cold.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great position, comfy beds, great pianist on a Saturday night, friendly breakfast waiter
Cons: Manx kippers very over cooked by New chef and restaurant food was just run of the mill.
6,0 Good
Pros: Some members of the staff went out of their way to be helpful, others seemed to regard guests as a neccessary inconveniance they were required to put up with.
Cons: My room, I have been in larger broom closets, some with better views. The old facility is more than a bit down at the heels and in need of significant repair and care.
7,7 Good
Pros: Hotel's ambience was very pleasant and the staff extremely helpful
5,3 Okay
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is very good, especially the bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful with queries and local information.
Cons: The charge for use of the internet is not fair in modern times; this should be a free open service which would attract more custom. The rooms are clean but small and the external windows were sealed shut.

Pros: Quiet Hotel
Cons: Small Room

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Rutland Hotel in Douglas, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute walk of Gaiety Theatre and Douglas Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
6,3 Good
Pros: The room and bathroom were a good size Staff were friendly and helpful Room, bathroom and bedding were clean Plenty of choice for breakfast, teas bought to the table quickly after ordering
Cons: Bed sloped backwards, the divan was stained. The room door lock was irritatingly awkward, swipe keys would be so much better. Despite the extensive bar menu, the actual draught beer was limited, and the fridge was almost bare, certainly not much choice. Staff were nice but both visits to the bar (on a Friday night) we had to to go to reception to find staff to serve us. Breakfast was alright, but eggs were sat around for longer than we would like and bacon was overdone. Disappointed not to have grilled tomatoes, plum tomatoes were offered
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Everything staff was fantastic couldnt help enough Food was great from breakfast to evening meal
Cons: Sofa bed bit lumpy
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the hotel, comfortable, warm, friendly staff, food good value. However one big exception which spoiled the whole experience - the LIFT. We don’t like lifts and this one was particularly claustrophobic, it was like squeezing into a wooden box for two people. Unfortunately we had been given a room on the 4th floor and not being able to face going in that lift we had to climb four flights of stairs each time we went to our room. If We had known this before we booked we would have requested a low level room! Incidentally the hotel was full.
Cons: See above comment
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We were given a seafront room which was clean and spacious with good en-suite. Some noise from coach parties' entertainment in bar until 10.00pm. Good breakfast buffet. Good value if you are prepared to share with coach parties. Parking on promenade outside hotel
Cons: This is a coach parties' hotel so breakfast was buffet style with many people eating at same time between 08.00 and 09.00.
7,1 Good
Pros: The location was good about 10 mins walk from town centre.
Cons: The steps up to the hotel itself were steep, an older person would find it hard to manage with a suitcase aswell. No ramp. They were tile so a wet floor sign was always there to be used when it rained. The lift was tiny. The stairs were confusing and 2 members of staff we met were rude
6,7 Good
Pros: Good location and nice view if you have a sea view room. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bed wasn't very comfy and breakfast wasn't the best (burnt and over-cooked). A little bit outdated and old fashioned décor and the WI-FI was really bad.

Pros: Staff and breakfast
Cons: Furnishings could do with updating.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice food, clean room and facilities.
Cons: A little out of the way not easy access for people with walking difficulties. Parking not as simple as described it is on a road narrowed with double parking alas our vehicle was damaged by a hit and run. OBVIOUSLY NOT THE OWNERS FAULT but rather annoying none the less.
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff were very good. Breakfast was great.
Cons: One family member said there room was very cold. There was a draft around the window. One room was booked separately and more expensive but this given to another family member before we arrived.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at the Arrandale. The dining room was a lovely size. The room was comfortably. The location to Douglas town Centre walkable. And Loryn and Danni were absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend staying at the Arrandale and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
Cons: To insignificant to mention
7,5 Good
Pros: breakfast was good
Cons: car parking on the street was difficult due to parking restrictions in zoned areas ( limited to 2 hours between 8am and 6pm) The biggest problem in the Isle of Man is finding somewhere to park for more than 2 hours in most towns
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff fabulous. Location great. Room very clean. View beautiful. Breakfast really good, lots of choice and hot food freshly cooked to order.
Cons: Nothing at all to complain about. Couldn't have been any better.

Pros: We paid a little extra and had a sea view room. Worth every penny as the hotel has a commanding view of the bay. We were able to watch seals playing in the sea opposite the hotel.
Cons: The hotel is a long walk to the shops and bars as it’s way up the prom, so we took taxi’s in and out. There’s a free phone at reception that links to a taxi firm and they gave a prompt service. £6 into town, £19 to airport.
