Pros: The hotel is clean, room was very nice, 207. Staff was professional and helpful. Parking onsite - reserve a spot when you book. Heidelberg is a walkable City for many attractions. The castle is a must.
Cons: Trying to adjust the reservation to check out early by one day did not work for us. It turned out alright as we just stayed the second night.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Exactly what we needed
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Right next to old town but in a calm area by the river. Walking distance from all touristic attractions. The staff were amazing and they helped me set up a great birthday surprise! The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. The room was very spacious and clean. Would stay here if I’m back to Heidelberg
Cons: Just a small detail: The pillows were not very comfy (I usually prefer larger and fluffier pillows and would expect more pillows on the bed)
9,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice and helpful staff! breakfast was very good!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good and the breakfast was exceptional
Cons: The first two nights I had to spend in the room facing a wall of another house. After many requests I was transferred for the third night to the room facing a beautiful view. To stay in a hotel panorama and to look into the wall is rather disappointing.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: It is a fully renovated, very clean hotel with very good breakfast. Good location, next to the river.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with a pleasing appearance. Bright and clean rooms and a lovely breakfast awaits in the morning too. A stones throw away from the Altstadt which has so many shops and coffee bars to tempt you. Lovely city break in a lovely, quiet location.

Pros: Wonderful breakfast. Professional staff. They are well-staffed so you wouldn't need to wait at all. Got a free upgrade for the room, very spacious and well furnished. Around 10 mins of walk to Muller or a street full of restaurants and stores.
Cons: It takes around 25 mins of walk from the train station or you can take a bus and walk about 3 mins. There are some bars and restaurants next to the hotel and the dining tables take up part of the pedestrian road making it inconvenient to pass through.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, good breakfast, good location.
Cons: Some details, elements are old, used, the whole a bit (quite) overpriced.
9,0 Excellent

Arthotel Heidelberg - Heidelberg - Building
3
9,2 Excellent (679 reviews)
R2 819+
8,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast couldn't have been better. People at desk were helpful.
Cons: I would have liked an ironing board and iron in the room instead of asking for it to be sent. Couldn't take a bath because there were no handlebars. Would have liked directions on how to use things in the room-- tv, shades etc. when I moved in.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and beautiful city with Castle.
Cons: Pricing per night was high.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful, and the room was absolutely a treat. I especially loved the designs of the bathroom, how it had a separate shower and a very big bathtub. (I wore a Timberland there and spent most of the time there dancing, so a hot bath really helps sooth the soreness of my legs) The location was great, considering my dancing class is also nearby. But even for someone who is just here for sight seeing, the location is definitely good. The breakfast was nice, but not much of a surprise. Didn't try their dinner, so I couldn't comment on that one. I'll just say the city has more surprises and it wouldn't be a loss if you never tried them out. Oh, and the views from the rooftop gardens really came as a surprise.
Cons: There were one time in which I found two spots on a new towel that looked like... I don't know... blood? I wasn't sure whether it was already cleaned and washed (because we all know how bloodstains latch on to white cloths), but that kind of made me uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent

Hotel Heidelberg Astoria - Heidelberg - Bedroom
6
9,1 Excellent (283 reviews)
R1 987+
6,3 Good
Pros: Good location. Low cost relative to other places. I would stay here again, despite the things I didn't like.
Cons: Staff is only there in the morning at the front desk, thus it feels like a "ghost hotel", when you need service. The lighting in my room was very poor, the exhaust in the bathroom did not work. The pillow was very uncomfortable, even after I asked for a replacement. Breakfast was plentiful, but the bread was burnt on both days I was there. The bread is reheated in-house from wherever it originally came from.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place, full of charm, in a great location. Staff was ultra friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return!
Cons: Nothing
7,1 Good
Pros: Comfy beds. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: Toilet only separated from room by a frosted glass door. Shower cubicle opened immediately into room. Pillow - only 1 per person - very thin.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything About the hotel is gorgeous! Please not that a narrow lane leads to it and that parking lots are very limited. Hence, parkers have to block one another.
Cons: More sortment should be added to the breakfast instead of keeping it as simple as it was.
5,8 Okay
Cons: No one in duty in evening. No coffee facilities for evening Lack of staff on duty to ask questions .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Sigi who manages the hotel is super friendly and helpful - thank you!

Pros: The location is perfect, really. The view over the river and the “Alte Brücke” is magnificent. The hotel is super interesting as well as the interior.
Cons: Yes, it’s not 100% perfect if you come with the car, because the parking is about 5-10 minutes by foot. There’s a window to the hallway. It needs better curtains for my taste.

Pros: Fresh and contemporary hip. Excellent room on top 5th floor with balcony. Fine for sipping Riesling.
Cons: Minor tweaks only. The Nespresso machine in the room (a great amenity) simply did not function properly. It is a mere coffee machine, but house keeping should check that EVERYTHING in room is tip top. Regrettably, we were checking out that morning. Otherwise, a sensational hotel property. Thank you.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right at the town center, everything in walking distance. The room was as spacious as the bathroom. We appreciated the air conditioning system during the hot summer night. Everything was clean and functioning. Breakfast excellent and service very friendly and welcoming. Parking in the yard was a bit tight for a luxus sedan, more tailored towards econony or mini cars. I won't put that as a negative point as regular parking lots are in walking distance.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location.
Cons: The air conditioner (I know they are rare in Europe) didn’t get cold enough. Breakfast was a bit expensive (€15).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean comfortable and in good order. The location was excellent being a short walk from the picturesque area of the old town city centre with its attractions, bars , restaurants and shops in one direction and the river in the other. The breakfast was outstanding with good choice and variety and delicious fresh breads etc. The on site restaurant looked good if pricey although we did not use it having lunched in a big way earlier en route. Would strongly recommend this hotel for a stay rather than just one night as there is loads to do.
Cons: The access to the property was very difficult even with directions, satnav and google maps!! The town has many pedestrianised areas which are randomly closed off depending on events in town. We nearly gave up but in desperation unwittingly went the wrong way up a one way street as we caught a glance of the hotel!! You will be lucky to get a parking slot and if so it is very tight. There is parking quite close but it is a very busy place so this is a nightmare! There is charge for parking at the hotel.
7,9 Good
Pros: Love the location and spacious room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint property and very quiet main bed in our room was comfortable nice pillows bathroom was spacious. Liked the hot pot available in the room
Cons: Day bed was very squeaky so annoying to person sleeping on it and others in the room. We ran out of toilet paper and there were no staff available to assist us. Hot pot did not automatically turn off when hot
7,1 Good
Pros: Room was large with modern bathroom.
Cons: The carpeting in the room was badly stained making the room feel unclean
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for the old town. Very nice dinner and good local wine
Cons: Rooms were clean & comfortable but could have been a little more inviting

Pros: Everything was great. The host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee were very good.
Cons: -
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I made a mistake in the booking date, which was set one week too early. I only realised the mistake after the schduled arrival. But when I called up, the hotel was very supporting and agreed to shift the booking to my new arrival date at no penalty or extra charge. The hotel is in quiet neigbourhood, though a bit far from Heidelberg town (2.3 km, 30 min walking). But with 5 minutes walk, one can get to the tram lines at Hans-Thoma Platz, Handschuhsheim and take the tram to Bismarkplatz. Free off street car park available.
Cons: There are no elevators for rooms at the upper floors (two max.) Not so convenient if you have heavy bags or have problem getting upstairs.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, spacy rooms and nice staff.
Cons: A lot of noise from outside during the night, although the surroundings itself were very nice.

Pros: It was extremely clean and well kept and only 150 meters from our son's apartment.
Cons: Perhaps "toastable" type waffles or French toast to be included on breakfast offerings.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: This place was amazing! you have all that you need, the shared kitchen is fully equipped, the room was clean and comfortable, the calefaction works as expected & it's so close to sights that's was so useful, the staff it's so kind you can feel like at home there!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is really cozy and it is located on the foot of the old castle, a really good place in the old town. They have a kitchen with everything you need, including free cereal, coffee, and milk. I love milk here and I drank a lot. You can also keep your food in the fridge. The hostel also has a warm living room where you can drink your coffee or tee, and communicate with other travelers. The bedroom is not too big but enough and you have your own locker with a key where you can lock your belongs. And what's more the bathroom has showers with enough private space, so you can hang your clothes and dress more comfortably. The staff couldn't be nicer and want to help you in any way. They have a sweet smile at any time. In a word, everything is perfect here. I had a good time and golden memories in the three days.
Cons: The staff and hostel leave nothing to be desired.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good Rooms were spacious Terrace and view
5,8 Okay
Pros: The overall look and feel of the hotel, with Bauhaus style, is pretty cool. The rooms are spacious and confortable. We were travelling with a baby and the crib was beautiful, but not the mattress (baby ended up sleeping in our bed).
Cons: Breakfast was pretty good, but not the staff. The person who served us was in a very bad mood, and the experience was not the best.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very kind and professional. The location was perfect for me - peace and quiet, with beautiful views and easy access to the center of Heidelberg by bus. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The balcony was an added advantage. I am very pleased with the short break (2 nights) in this place and I would definitely like to come back here!
Cons: The toilet seat in the bathroom was too high for me (not very comfortable). That was the only flaw to this place.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms have spacious balconies and there is a lovely beer garden that also does food. Breakfast had a good choice. Location will depend on your reason for travel, if visiting old Heidelberg it is less convenient (need to take bus/tram to the tourist area) but if you have a car they have free parking which makes this (rather than the old town) a great choice of base to explore the wider region as it has excellent road links. It is in a residential suburb so limited in terms of surrounding bars and restaurants (there are some), but ISG has a lovely beer garden that is very pleasant for drinks/food. Staff are helpful and multilingual. They also have fitness/sauna but I did not have time to use these. Rooms are spacious, clean and have all the expected items, with a Bauhaus theme. Room had aircon.
Cons: Location will either be ideal or a slight drawback depending on your plans in the Heidelberg area. Beer garden closes relatively early (around 10pm).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: ISG hotel is my ”second home” in Heidelberg. It is conviniently located appr 20 minutes’ walk away from EMBL - through beautiful forest paths. Ver friendly staff, very international atmosphere. And to top it all, the hotel is decorated with Bauhaus furniture, posters and other memorabilia.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff who gave me lots of tips on how to save money on tours and sightseeing.
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Very comfortable beds and an amazing view!
Cons: Tiny shower... loud in the evenings on the weekend, maybe up a floor would be better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, right in the heart of the old town. Very comfortable rooms and in keeping with the surroundings. The Breakfast was also fabulous and the coffee in the morning was excellent.

Pros: Location was great, right in city centre. Large room
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The room is nice. The staff were very helpful
Cons: It is not clear where reception is. The vegetarian options are terrible (mostly feta cheese). The bathroom has mould on the tiles. I was woken several times by loud and drunk boys outside. One of the mattresses kept slipping off the bed. I was cold in the room.
1,0 Poor
Cons: When I arrived, I had no room, they were very polite booking another hotel nearby, but was less value for the money I had paid.
6,0 Good
Cons: it was not sparkling clean. there were few cracks in the wall but nothing major.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super central location, but very quiet. Nice breakfast selection. Friendly staff.
Cons: all fine.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing room with great views in all directions. Huge. And they even had a rocking horse for my kids! Amazing location. Would definitely come back.
Cons: Only minor gripe is it's a little tricky dragging bags through the restaurant or the table blocked hotel door. Also would be nice if more of the windows could open.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent position, nice staff and comfortable room. Very good bakery really near the hotel with buttered pretzels!
6,3 Good
Pros: Room was large, neatly decorated and had a very modern large bathroom as well.
Cons: The room was consistently hot and when you try to cool it off by opening the windows you were faced with a smell of burnt food mixed with cigarettes from a restaurant next-door. Do not stay in a room facing the courtyard. Our room was 126, which was particularly bad. Additionally the hotel walls appear to be very thin and we seemed to be able to hear noise from all over the hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Central on main square where trams and bus stop, walking distance to main road, pedestrian street with shops.
Cons: Rather expensive.
7,5 Good
Cons: Very bad internet connection. Bad channels tv
10,0 Excellent
Pros: -The location is nice, although a 15min walk from the central train station. It's just nearby the city center and there is a tram station just across the hotel. -Has a lot of restaurants around the hotel -Has supermarkets nearby -Easy checkin via machine, fully automated -Has spacious elevator -The hotel seems new -Clean -Lots of tv channels, especially music channel (i.e. Deluxe Music), which is the only one i care about -Overall, the hotel is superb but the best part are the superb staff, including the ones that answers our queries prior to our stay. They are kind, friendly, and very considerate!
Cons: The only thing i didn't like was we stayed for only 1 night!
