Pros: We both know thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room we booked was just the standard but was spacious and warm. We had a corner room therefore lots of light. Bed so comfortable, en-suite spacious and extra touches such as the delicious shortbread, fruit and turndown service were very appreciated. Breakfast was superb and dinner magnificent. The highlight was however the staff. Everyone we encountered were so helpful and pleasant. These memories make a holiday.

Pros: The bed is comfortable and both room and bathroom are above standard sizes. The garden and the tennis court are very nice, it was a shame we couldn't see the swimming pool but I guess it would look great during summer times.
Cons: The room is not properly cleaned. There is dust on top of mirrors, bed and roof, furthermore also the carpet wasn't really clean, probably not hovered before my staying.

Pros: Breakfast room, food and service were excellent. Could not use poor as traveled in winter.
Cons: There was a bottle of sherry on the side in reception room, unattended. Being a recovering alcoholic I don't like to see drink I could just walk up to and take. I know this is due to a personal issue but I chose hotels on the fact they don't have a bar. This is not a complaint just a mention.

Cons: Tired, nothing like the website, a bit scruffy all round, dark in the bar with lights flickering. No management for the whole day we were there, it was being run by kids in the main. There was a question about our accommodation which was never answered or dealt with. Disappointing.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service from a wide menu
Cons: Bathroom - I do not like showers
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Good location.
Cons: The rooms were in a bad state of disrepair. The shower cubicle was rotting and mouldy, as was the ceiling and mirror in the bathroom. The hairdryer didn’t work, the room was dark, the carpet was covered in stains. The door to the room opened into the car park and smoking area, this wasn’t great as there was a gap all around the door which let the fumes etc in. The gap, also made me feel very unsafe at night as there was one Yale lock holding my door shut. It would have been easily kicked in. There was also a large crack in the wall down the side of the window.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Nice full cooked fresh breakfast. Location was great for town centre.
Cons: Bedrooms are awful! Room was dark and dirty, bed very uncomfortable. Bathroom was disgusting, very mouldy and dirty. These rooms are in desperate need of a renovation !
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good breakfast. Bar was right next door.
Cons: Room was marginal. Bathroom marginally clean.
7,5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast, evening meal deal was good value, lively atmosphere, central to the town and amenities.
Cons: Rooms a little dated, could do with a lick of paint, taps on the sink loose, smelly bathroom area, spyhole stuffed with paper, skylights needed a good clean.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing :(
Cons: The shower was the worst I've ever seen, virtually no white grout..yellowing black moldy !. Shower head caked in lime scale, no pressure the water dribbled out. Rotten woodwork below the shower door, tiled walls looked like they'd never been cleaned. Noise outside from the smokers late at night was not welcome at all. Very cold room, had to ask for the heating to be put on .. full height ceiling velum Windows could not be reached to close them.
7,1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very nice, cereal, fruit juice, full English with toast, tea and Coffee. Location was excellent, right on the doorstep of the main shopping area, and easy walking distance of museums etc. Parking for car at no charge off road. comfortable bed and bedding. Towels changed daily as used. Able to get a choice of meals all day at the hotel
Cons: Accomodation tired and a bit grubby. En-suite bathroom extractor not working.
6,7 Good
Pros: The room was separate from the hotel. The breakfast was OK. The quality of the food we did order to the room was substantial and very nice. I was allowed to request early check in and late check when i booked our stay online through booking.com. Both requests were approved by the property.
Cons: There wasn't a phone in the room to call reception and ask for room service my partner had to go in to order, he also asked for no salad ( rabbit food as he refers to it) in his burger, I had to pick the salad out. The carpark was too small, we had to park a good 10-15 min walk from the property itself. It took a while for someone to acknowledge us when we went to check in. I didn't get asked if i wanted an invoice when we went to check out, all i was given was the card receipt nothing else.

Cons: Accommodation is low rent and tired
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Closeness to town. A very comfy room and bed and no complaints about us playing music considerately when we returned from a gig. Good value for money.
Cons: A little maintenance needed to improve the look of the room. This did not make our stay any less comfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location for the hospital is perfect.
Cons: Bathroom needed a bit of tlc. Mirror was missing and hot tap broken and couldn't control heat of shower. Also bulb gone in one of the bedside lamps.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The poor lady who served breakfast and was dropped in it by the boss was lovely and very apologetic.
Cons: Appalling service! Rang a few weeks before to say that one person has dietary requirements for breakfast, also said this when we arrived and told the person in charge where he could get a simple loaf of bread and butter. We didn't demand a full cooked breakfast or anything extravagant. When we got up we were greeted by a female member of staff who was lovely but had not been told anything about the dietary requirements. She spent ages trying to get hold on the manager just to be told he had not got anything. The poor woman was left to clean up his mess basically. So my husband walked around the shops, found some bread, jam and butter that we could have and was back within 15mins. We where however allowed to use the plate and knife provided so that was their contribution to our paid for TWICE OVER breakfast. The rooms were tiny, outdated and hot! The bathroom flooring wasnt even stuck down, the glasses were sat on a rusty shelf, so we didnt use them. The curtains were old and didnt really work and the old fashioned windows let in every noise. NOT WORTH WHAT WE PAID!! Very questionable 3*
4,2 Okay
Pros: Close proximity cheapish
Cons: Tap leaking water everywhere
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was very cold and the portable heater had to be put on
Cons: The stairs up to the room were steep you could easily hear the pub downstairs and I had to ask for small towels as there were none in the room
7,0 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: The loud music until 2am
4,0 Okay
Pros: Very poor breakfast. Had to ask for everything like butter marmalade sauce. Tea weak. Egg almost unedible. 3rd day no new tea coffee milk etc. Room not attended to.
Cons: See anove
4,2 Okay
Pros: Within easy walk of the town. Not much noise from pub. Breakfast was lovely and hot. USB ports on plug.
Cons: Dirty areas on walls, doors, around window, under radiator, and in shower. Bed was broken. Found someone’s tights in the bedside cabinet. No food available on day of arrival - was not told.
