Pros: Great place love to stay again
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the hotel for for five nights, for my wife's birthday. From the beginning the staff was incredibly thoughtful and efficient, helping me to organise birthday surprises. We arrived too early for our room to be ready, but we were given hot drinks and allowed to rest in the beautiful dining room beside the canal. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. Our room overlooked the water, which was amazing to wake up to each day, and the hotel was central to all the most beautiful historic parts of Bruges. The hotel breakfast was delicious (even more so when we had it in our room). Over and over again the hotel staff were so, so accommodating and kind, from offering painkillers to me when I had run out to bringing up takeaway pizza we ordered to our room, to organising transport for us, to offering us a little box of Belgian chocolates when we checked out. Both of us were genuinely sad to leave (something that we almost never feel about hotels!) and are already planning to return someday.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We spent one night in Bruges and were lucky enough to discover this fabulous hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location right in the Center of Bruges and on the water. We had gorgeous views from our beautiful room. The hotel is truly luxurious. The owner is an art collector so it was also like staying inside a gallery with some remarkable art. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely be back!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is amazing, it is exactly what I wanted when booking as I didn’t want a modern hotel I wanted something with character and this hotel has definitely got that, and we could not have asked for a better location it’s perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, lovely room. It's not the place if you're expecting a gym and/or pool, but it exudes olde-world charm and comfort
Cons: We would have liked a kettle and drinks facilities in the room - otherwise the hotel and service was lovely
10,0 Excellent

9,0 Excellent

Pros: Great location very clean too. Pillows lumpy and small but other than that the room was lovely. Great blackout curtains and very quiet in room so could sleep in after a festive night in town. The bar area was cosy and had a great game of draughts in front of the fire. Would recommend

5,0 Okay
Cons: They charged me twice and a month later still haven’t refunded me correctly. Front desk girl was rude and unhelpful and our room was through a kitchen- we were told it was an upgrade but I find that hard to believe. Bed on one floor and bathroom down very narrow stairs- terrible if we had mobility issues and we were told it was because they had over booked the hotel- the whole experience was poor
7,1 Good
Pros: Location is good. rooms clean.
Cons: Beds extremely hard both of us woke with back pain. Pillows also thin. Breakfast overpriced and extra. Sold with” a very full breakfast and cooked on Aga. “ Basically eggs a bit of cheese and cereal no bacon or sausage etc the breakfast less than all inclusive in uk. only extra glass of champagne if wanted. otherwise well presented and scrambled egg was good. On checking in tried to up sell to bigger room which we declined as only one night, But we noticed that we had a bigger room by the name and felt they tried to get extra as they had to put us in the room as others let. would have sat better if they had just said they had upgraded us rather than try to hoodwink us.

Pros: excellent does not change allways welcoming
Cons: parking charges cheaper in local underground park accross the road
6,0 Good
Pros: The workers were friendly! Breakfast was good! They are still serving filter coffee on the tables! Like in the old days! The sauna is nice! The location was excellent!
Cons: First of all it was a misunderstanding in the booking! You only see for how many people one books the room after you have booked and not while one is booking the room. In this case it appeared the room suitable for 2 people with an option of an extra bed. Instead it was suitable for 1 person. Because of that we had to pay 114 euros extra. Costing 250 euros per night! The Hotel is very old fashioned decorated! There is an ugly brown carpet running all over the building! There is hardly an elevator that gets to your room. The building is like a maze, difficult access to the rooms. Not recommended for older people and handicapped people! The swimming pool is a big joke! In the basement and it is build with no tiles protecting the wall inside the swimming pool. Quite dangerous! We were a bit worry to swing inside. The lobby is very dark with everything brown decorated!!!!! There is no life!!!!! The rooms are very simple.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at this lovely small guest house with quality restaurant was a highlight of our trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. The small-town setting was beautiful and peaceful, perfect with its access to the extensive bicycling trails along the canals and very near to Bruges. Karen and Olivier who operate the property gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home throughout our three-night stay. Our room was comfortable and charming. When we mentioned that we wanted to rent bikes, Karen arranged to have them delivered. Dinner included well-crafted dishes that highlighted local ingredients, and breakfasts were generous and delicious. Most importantly, when we lost a bag with our passports, cash and credit cards, Olivier and Karen were beyond helpful, allowing us to continue our trip with minimal interruption. This is a SPECIAL PLACE - enjoy!!
