Very very good breakfast.! The women at reception was extremely nice and helpful.very clean . Excellent location . Nice city
Daily breakfast was included in the total cost, and was a very nice spread. Good coffee, fresh baked goods. The room and bed were comfortable and clean, with housekeeping done every day. Hotel's location is steps away from the beach and I heard the sea through my window which was nice, as was the view of the cathedral. Close to shopping as well, and there is a large casino across the street. Blankenberge is great because it is close to so many lovely places by tram or train. Good restaurants, museums, churches and sightseeing. Some Belle Epoch architecture has been preserved, but much has been replaced by more modern, non-descript condo buildings, which diminishes the charm a bit. Brugges is a short train trip away which is magical. The train and tram stations are walking distance from the hotel. Annick Fournier, the proprietress, was a warm and welcoming presence and provided exemplary guest care. My disability assistance dog was warmly welcomed, and was greeted with his own food and water bowls on a tray, fluffy towel and a lovely decorative blanket to sleep on. I should say that the hotel is not equipped for wheelchair access, but with a walking stick and my assistance dog I had no issue getting to the 4th floor by using the charming little lift. The embroidered pillow cases and duvet were a nice touch. It's the small things.
I really have no complaints. Two minor suggestions might be to add a small electric kettle to the rooms. It would have been nice to have a cup of tea before bed after a long day of sightseeing. I usually arrived after room service ended, so that wasn't an option. Another suggestion would be (being that it is Belgium) to place a small chocolate on the pillow. Perhaps a local chocolatier would provide them in exchange for the advertising. Just a thought.
The Sea Coast is very close and also the chopping centre.
The sea coast and centre of the city were very close
No negative remarks...maybe just 10h30 am to leave the hotel is in my mind too early.
Hosts were very friendly. The room (101) was spacious with view over kids concrete park. Good spread of food at breakfast. Self selection of teas & bread, cheeses, meat, yogurt, fruit, cake & pastries, cereal etc, too much to mention. All fresh food. I liked eggs & smoked salmon best. Hotel is very close to beach & all facilities.
No kettle in the room. Bathroom towels need replacing; they were literally falling apart they were so old & worn. ( They were clean though. ) Street parking.
