Pros: Perfect location for visiting the Somerset countryside and in easy distance of Yeovil for an evening at the theatre. Super breakfast, generous and top quality. Incredibly helpful and friendly team of staff. Thank you.
Pros: Wonderful stay, very welcoming staff and lovely accommodation - very pet friendly and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family
Pros: Ideal loction just outside of Yeovil in a lovely village. The pub brewed their own beers and the number one bitter I sampled was really excellent. the room I stayed in was extremely comfortable, very clean and well appointed. The Sunday dinner was delicious served by friendly staff. Breakfast was also very good. Lots of easy parking to the rear of the property. Highly recommended.
Pros: Great from all aspects...meeting manager great and simple info about the room etc...really clean...great ammenities...comfy bed...fantastic breakfast...all staff really freindly and helpfull..will return...
Cons: Nothing at all...
Pros: The Masons Arms is in a superb location. The beakfast was excellent, as was Dinner. The Ales brewed in their own Micro Brewery are superb. Nothing could have been better for our stay, we were made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived, everything we needed for our Working Cocker Dolly, was already in our room, all we needed was her food.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Pros: Everything was lovely. A free beer on arrival always much appreciated! Nice room, quiet and peaceful. Lots of little extras like choices of tea / coffee and bathroom stuff. Big fluffy towels and everything clean and tidy. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Good place to stay if you're travelling alone as the staff are friendly and welcoming, and there are people to chat to but equally lots of nice corners to sit and read your book. Really lovely pub!
Pros: A fantastic little place with modern rooms with very comfortable furniture. We were instantly at home staying at the masons arms. The staff were fantastic and the breakfast was very nice with plenty of options. We would definitely recommend a stay at the masons arms.
Cons: Nothing, it ticked all our boxes for a weekend stay whilst attending a wedding nearby.

Pros: Lovely location, hard to improve on. Lovely staff. Pub food great.
Cons: Friday night slept well, but Saturday very noisy from pub below til late. Wifi wasn't great.
Pros: The food was fantastic. The rooms and ambiance were lovely. It's location was second to none. Definitely value for money and we will be back
Pros: Excellent choice and quality of food available.
Cons: A more powerful shower would have been nice, but this is an old property and so the facilities were to be expected.
Pros: Large comfy rooms, great staff (Patrick and Claire are amazing hosts),Great food, beautiful village, dog friendly
Pros: Large quiet, well appointed room. Excellent breakfast, only sorry we weren't able to have dinner there, but they weren't serving it that night due to a large private party. We were grateful to have been contacted in advance to warn us about this, as it is a very rural location with very few other places to eat nearby.
Cons: Shower didn't work very well
Pros: Location was great for us as family close by. Nice coffee and sweet to still see biscuits in the room (which were needed!)
Cons: Called 15 mins before the kitchen closed to order food to be told it was already shut and they wouldn’t do anything for us. Asked again 5 mins later when we arrived walking past the kitchen and seeing someone in there (I assume cleaning down) to still be told no. No offer of takeaways or recommendations of somewhere close by, just told no. Bed very soft, one of those were you wake up in the night facing each other as both of you have rolled into the centre. Shower pressure very poor. (They did say they called us but we have landed at 7pm so had signal and zero missed calls, plus no message through booking.com)
Located in Yeovil, Walnut Tree Hotel is in a rural location, a 4-minute drive from Haynes International Motor Museum and 6 minutes from Lytes Cary Manor. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The food was good. The ambience and staff were good.
Cons: The room was very small and the bed was against the window so to get out of the bed you had to crawl to the bottom or other side. You had to move the table to unplug the kettle to be able to fill it.
Pros: Excellent friendly staff and very happy to accommodate my special dietary requirements and help with my food phobias
Cons: Garlic butter
Pros: Staff were very helpful
Cons: Hot food served on cold plates therefore breakfast was cold on arrival Breakfast served too late for business customers, 8.30 is too late
Cons: My room was freezing. Both radiators didn't work, whilst the rest of the property was ok. It was warmer in the corridor than in my room. There is blatantly a plumbing issue, which the owners must know about, yet haven't fixed.
With a stay at The Green Room, you'll be centrally located in Yeovil, within a 10-minute drive of Global Images Gallery and Sherborne Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location was great for us
Cons: Tired and dated
Pros: Very clean, nice room. Staff were friendly.
Pros: It is larger than you anticipate with further rooms at the back of the property. The staff are warm & welcoming.
Cons: The only trouble would be access for anyone with disabilities as we had to climb steps and stairs to get to our room.
Pros: The staff are excellent, the restaurant is a joy, which is why I booked for a third time
Cons: On this occasion Room 5 was unheated from late evening to early morning. The bed only had a summer weight duvet and therefore the combination ensured I had a cold sleepless night.
Pros: Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Very quiet room, no disturbance all night which was great
Cons: The room was a little tired but clean
Pros: A central but quiet location. Warm welcome, cosy and comfortable accommodation which was very good value for money.
Cons: Slightly awkward access to room in the old part of the Green Room, with low headroom, but this was well emphasised on arrival so hosts could not be faulted.
Pros: This is our third stay at The Green Room and the staff there continue to deliver every time. The room was clean and cosy and it was quiet overnight. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. We’ll be back again soon!

Pros: All was very good
Cons: The meal we had for 5 people was not value for money ☹️☹️ the steak was rubbish!!
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff, cleans rooms, reliable food and a good breakfast cooked to order.
Cons: Would like some basic herbal teas in the room rather than just plain tea and coffee and the hot water pressure in the bath and basin was a bit temperamental.
Pros: Imogen, who checked me in was superb, she was really professional & went the extra mile 2 make my stay perfect
Pros: Hotel suite was nice
Cons: The heating was set to go off late evening and the ome on again first thing in the morning. It's was 1c last night and I was, wojen after two hours sleep as u was freezing. Spent 45 mins trying to get hole of the night porter. Eventually I did, he turn the heati g on. Next I found 1 radiator didn't work and the other needed bleeding. Very poor experience.
Pros: Breakfast excellent, staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: The staff put me in a room next to builders who they knew were contractors, so they were very noisy having their workmates in the room drinking and staying up very late, so couldn’t sleep. Then they got up very early for work and made a lot of noise. I did report this in the morning to the reception staff, they said it was contractors that they have to stay. Reception Staff should not put guests next to contractors rooms who stay in the hotel for weeks.

Pros: First class breakfast and quality of staff. Will return again with this type of service.
Cons: Comfortable room with good heating and good parking for car. Very good shower. Good quality food available. Good value for money.
Pros: The staff were so lovely and caring and really fept like they wanted you there. Place is average as it goes, but very cheap and excellent service and lovely people.
Pros: I was upgraded to the honeymoon suite with massage shower and jacuzzi and not chsrged a penny more The most comfortable super king 4 poster bed provided me with the best nights sleep and breakfast was excellent.
Pros: it all went well breakfast was great large car park

Cons: Room was a little cold and a couple of things wrong.
Pros: Spacious, wee appointed room - lovely breakfast in a bright well furnished dining room ...
Cons: Liked it all ...
Pros: The staff were so kind and friendly. The room was a good size clean and warm and beautifully furnished as was the rest of the hotel
Cons: There was no table at breakfast with a clean table cloth on for us to sit at. Even though I had mentioned the day before that I was vegetarian there was no vegetarian option for the sausages etc. The waitress had extremely long hair and we felt it should have been tied back . It was a shame as the rest of the hotel and our stay was amazing
Pros: Close to Westland centre for show
Cons: Found a used towel and unemptied bin in bathroom Breakfast was average
Pros: The breakfast was very good and plenty of choice of coffee cereal toast etc great value and very tasty
Cons: Private bathroom was separate to the room which did not work for me , also the room was cold and the window could not be closed properly,. I’d stop again but not in that room.
Pros: Rooms private good value in price with breakfast included
Cons: Reception only open at certain times and bit dated but wasn't expecting the ritz
Pros: Extremely comfortable generous sized room (no 1) excellent breakfast and a warm welcome from Meg
Pros: From the moment we stepped foot in the hotel to the minute we left we were treated like VIP’s. Everything about our stay was wonderful, the staff, the service, comfort. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Pros: Food, drink position and staff excellent
Cons: Room was comfy but shower room needs a refit and radiator did not work but an electric heater was put on room so was ok
Pros: breakfast was great
Cons: The room was freezing, when I arrived the window was still open. It might have been open all day and the radiator was turned off. Due to the sash window it was very draughty and did not get warm. To top it off I had a summer duvet. To try and keep warm in bed I put my pyjamas on the towel heater and have a bath before I jumped into bed.
Pros: Warm room , plumped pillows.
Cons: Stairs- bit of a problem if you had loads of luggage.

Pros: Was actually very quiet through the night considering it's a town centre location. The car park was free and only a minute walk to the hotel. The lovely chap on reception insisted on carrying my bag for me which was lovely of him. Rooms were clean with everything you could need. Rooms were very clean, had TV, coffee making facilities ect. Again extremely helpful man on reception couldn't have helped anymore and was so nice. Bed was comfortable and our two rooms were next to each other which was sorted after we arrived and the lovely chap saw we were two couples and was nice we could go back and forth.
Pros: There was nothing I can find fault with
Cons: Polite staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet even given the central location Overall fantastic have stayed a number of times
Pros: Close to town Clean and comfortable Alright value
Pros: Very nice man on reception, upgraded us from small double to a larger double as that room wasn’t filled.
Cons: Could have been a bit cleaner, it’s dated and bath etc was dented and a bit rusty but for 47 quid I really can’t complain
Pros: Staff very polite
Cons: Room size and cleanliness of room. Stayed for a full week so a slightly bigger room would have been better.
Pros: Very friendly service, clean and well presented, upgraded to a larger room free of charge, very happy with our stay.
Pros: It was very clean with sheets / towels changed everyday. Great location near city centre. Staff friendly & helpful. Good Wi-Fi
Cons: No wardrobe but coped ok. Breakfast could be better (I've seen worse!). Cabs sometimes had problems parking outside for pick ups due to parking restrictions. ooms have no phones!
Pros: Free Wi-Fi
Cons: There was no hot water in the mornings. The heaters are not working properly.
Pros: The size of the family room was good, the cleanliness was good, and having breakfast in our room was convenient.
Cons: It was convenient for our purposes, but if I was on holiday I would have preferred to have a breakfast room. Also the parking was a bit inconvenient.
Pros: Location close to towncenter
Cons: small room and breakfast in to small room
Pros: Very convenient for town.

Cons: Small room. No secure parking.
Pros: Very good value, good clean room.
Pros: Nice clean room, with flat screen tv and good size bed
Cons: Toilet didn't flush, not just in my room, but also my friends room. This was reported, but still didn't work. Breakfast only available as a tray delivered to your room.
Pros: Good staff high standard room appearance and space.
Cons: No room to room phone, Radiators weren't on and it was cold. Shaver point and bathroom mirror light had no power.
With a stay at The Globe and Crown, you'll be centrally located in Yeovil, within a 10-minute drive of Global Images Gallery and Sherborne Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very clean. Friendly. Helpfully.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Probably from recent decorating the carpets were stained with paint. The bin in the room was full, not just unemptied. The arial cable for the TV was broken. When I went down to get a drink in the bar at 22:45 I was told they were closed.
Pros: What I liked was the option of another room the next morning, which at least was a better size but the stains on the ceiling and muck in the grouting of the shower were off-putting
Cons: Booked a single room - Firstly being told the room key was missing, so given another room eventually. A tiny room - dark and smelly, not clean and generally depressing. I felt very unsafe as there appeared to be a connecting door to another room which I was too unnerved to investigate further. Certainly NOTHING like the single room I thought I was booking by the photos of their site.
Pros: The location was handy for town centre.
Cons: Decor especially in bathrooms not of a good standard. The breakfast was excellent, staff very good but overall a tired location but at £45 per room it represented value for money.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff with super comfy beds and the benefit of having a traditional pub downstairs. Breakfast was great.
Cons: The pictures of the rooms flattered the room that we had. It wasn’t particularly smart but clean.
Pros: The bed was ever so comfortable. I didn’t really get to meet the staff but the gentleman who checked me in was polite and helpful a woman said good bye when leaving and seem very delightful
Cons: The room floor was not clean neither was the stairway. We got provided mugs unfortunately one was still dirty. The noise travel through with creaky doors close rooms and heavy doors continually shutting. The person next to use decided to stay up all night so unfortunately so did we
Pros: Good atmosphere, full of friendly people, good food for price, staff are friendly and helpful
Pros: Not a single thing.
Cons: Shower didn't work scalded myself and the filthy bath caused me to fall out and damage my shoulder. Room was switched at last minute to a second floor box room (despite disabled customer) Everything seems very tired and in need of a really good clean. Staff included. We elected to eat there. MISTAKE. Everything tasted like Fairy liquid roast potatoes where still frozen in the middle. Gravy was cold and tasted days old. We stayed a total of two hours. Which was 90 minutes too long at least. Spoke to manager who was rude and unhelpful. Seemed more interested in telling me off for complaining. Overall a god awful experience. Won't be back. Would rather eat a dropped kebab and sleep in a telephone box. Terrible Avoid Totally awful. This place could be brilliant if only they changed everything except the actual building. Filthy room Terrible food Rude staff Broken almost everything There really aren't words to describe how terrible this place is.

Pros: Nice breakfast, lovely room
Pros: Location town centre
Cons: Very small room dirty smelly entrance hall. TV in room only 1 channel. Very noisy outside Shabby dining room. Building materials visible in kitchen area.
Pros: Breakfast was very good, room was clean and bed was comfortable
Cons: Central heating was noisy and woke me during the night. There wasn't a lot of staff around. I had a coffee in our room on Friday night, didn't get a clean cup until Sunday.
Pros: Clean and comfortable so value for money.
Cons: However breakfast service does not start until 8am. Not too useful when travelling for business and you have to leave early. So unfortunately I started the day on an empty stomach :-(
Pros: very good location, large room in a old building, a bit outdated but have heard they are currently updating the hotel. All very clean and a good, basic breakfast with great coffee.
Cons: the stairway to the rooms was dirty and a bit smelly not giving a good impression, but as stated, they are updating the hotel so hopefully this will be addressed.
Pros: Breakfast was good, evening meal was OK
Cons: Better choice for evening meal
Pros: Staff were pleasant. Room was spacious.
Cons: Cleanliness; the bathtub and toiler brush were dirty, and shampoo bottle from previous guest hadn't been tidied away. Breakfast was quite greasy, and sausages and bacon weren't brilliant. Eggs and hash browns were very good, so 6/10 overall.
Pros: We stayed one night at The George. On arrival we was greeted by Ali and after chatting with her we decided to upgrade to the George Suite, Ali was lovely along with other staff that made us feel very welcome, The George suite was a beautiful room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed, The juccuzi bath would have been amazing but unfortunately it failed to work which was disappointing but we let the manager know at breakfast and she compensated us for this and invited us to stay again with an upgrade and refunded the extra we paid, so we were very happy with this as we would come and stay again, Breakfast was lovely and served with a smile. The pub was very clean as was the room,A great stay at the George, I think the friendly staff made our stay,

Pros: The room was large and clean. The grounds and buildings were beautiful and a great breakfast.

Pros: Warm welcome, lovely rooms, very picturesque, fantastic staff, superb food, drinks and Roger and Minnie. What more could you possibly want?
Pros: What a lovely place. Our accommodation was perfect, warm and comfortable. The mill has an interesting, quirky feel to it with unusual motoring displays- unfortunately we couldn’t stay long enough to explore. The breakfast was excellent as too was the evening meal. Staff were very attentive and polite. We will be staying again.
