Pros: Very fine house, and garden (back into time). Very quiet atmosphere. Nice and spatious room. Very friendly welcome when arriving. Very good location and summer feeling when taking breakfast in the garden. Total concept of the place is consistent and appreciated.
Cons: Stairs to go up, with luggage (but was expected, given the older building). Not all breakfast items were freshly cooked (rolls, wafels, bacon,...). Some smell in the bathroom (in our room) seemed rather persistent.

Pros: We loved the ocean view from our room, and the chance to sit on the attached deck and enjoy the sunshine. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful, and the staff were helpful. We enjoyed the short walk to the old town of Cascais, and we took the train from the station not far from the hotel into Lisbon.

On the Wedding day, in the morning, the Hotel prepared our room very early to leave everything clean and tidy for the photography and videography. A special thank you to the Laundry/Ironing Services for ironing my Wedding Dress and Veil so quickly and perfectly well done! When we arrived to the Hotel after our Wedding we had a little gift from the Hotel - Champagne and Strawberries with Chocolate, that was a very sweet and kind gesture. Pros: Super hotel. Staff was very very friendly. Facilities were great. They even got my son a birthday cake. That was without me asking! That is Service.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 19 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Pool area
Cons: Balcony was not sea view as the balcony wall was too high and so could only see the sea if standing. Staff said that if we had booked directly as opposed to through booking.com we would have got superior room. Albeit we were there for 7 nights, they would not move us or even show us a superior room!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The terrace . The room
Cons: I was directly over the reception where people arrived and left all night and early morning . I paid a lot of money to stay in a beautiful room that was a waste . I got no sleep I was also beside the lift. I ordered roomservice fish , very mediocre . Went to the town two evenings following and had far superior Meals. The towels at the pool were thread bearing they were so old . There were not enough sun loungers and if you managed to get one you were on top of the next person.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Cascais is a great location, hotel in walking distance of city center. Great staff, good food, great swimming pool. Extremely relaxing!
Cons: Order taking and follow up could be better
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, very elegant. Pool area was lovely. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast buffet and waiter service around the pool was attentive.
Cons: Gym is reasonable but a bit limited equipment wise. Indoor pool in the hotel photos is actually part of the spa and charge of €20 per person to use for an hour. So outdoor pool is only real option. The hotel is quiet and peaceful but flip side of that is no entertainment and evenings there are a bit sedate. We went into the town for dinner each night as it offered more variety.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are amazing; they go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable, always. The location is also the best in Cascais. Everything is just 2 mins away.
4,5 Okay
Pros: Dans cette l’hôtel
Cons: in this hotel all my jewelery was stolen for a total cost of € 15,000 its van cleef. the hotel manager said sorry and did nothing as nothing happened! They probably think it is very good when 5 people have access to the room! I am very disappointed in this hotel!
9,1 Excellent
Cons: Ask the price of drinks before you order - can get a little expensive.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great customer service and lovely view! Will stay here again :)
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff & Service
Cons: Air Conditioning is pathetic.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is an amazing hotel in an amazing location
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The pool area is lovely with saltwater pool and massages available poolside.
Cons: I’d like to see more variety of simple dishes available for guests. I found the all-day dining menu a bit fussy and not very easy to choose from.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly atmosphere. Great history. Immaculate rooms. Excellent and considerate staff. Huge selection for breakfast.
Cons: Would have liked barista coffee and while it is in no way their fault, the local milk is not great (for coffees etc). Maybe cream would be an option.
6,5 Good
Cons: It is getting a bit old.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Professional and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Great choice
Cons: People sometimes had to wait to be seated at breakfast and were left standing at the doorway for sometimes a few minutes whilst tables were being prepared, not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Also some staff took away your plates too soon. The breakfast room seemed a little understaffed at times. The decor in the bar could be a little brighter. Pool area and service excellent.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The style of the Hotel, classic and dependable
Cons: The hotel was great, a little disappointing was noise during the day from adjacent park
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I like the location. It’s a fine place to be, excellent food and service, especially Mr. Julio, the a being Masero Next to the bar in the little Restaurant. He is very polite and very knowledgeable.i enjoy his company.
Cons: The bed was too soft, so were the pillows. They should have firmer, and the mattress needs to be firm as well. You suffer on your spine if you sleep on a soft bed.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool and sun lounger terrace, calm atmosphere. Enjoyed the bar and restaurants. Very easy to walk to the station in order to travel to Lisbon.
6,8 Good
Pros: Storied
Cons: Terrible location. Bleak depressing casino nearby. Awful kids’ fair playing deafening music throughout.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Superb hotel with fantastic staff that are attentive to your requirements. Great location close to the sea and a pleasant walk to the nearby town of Cascais.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Incredible staff, PERFECT location in Estoril. 35 mins to Lisboa in train (5 minutes walking distance from the hotel) and Cascais is 15 min walking. You should stay in this hotel if you are planning to visit Portugal.
Cons: They didn't have sleep masks so the light entered the room so early!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One problem was the very loud funfair in the gardens in front of hotel, which went from 9am to 8pm. Terrible noise.

7,0 Good
Pros: Really beautiful and intimate set-up. Most of the people we had a pleasure dealing with premises were either professional or genuinely nice.
Cons: It was made clear by the owner of the place that we were not welcome. This was done in a sophisticated manner and not in the vulgar way. We do have an idea what is behind this but it's not a subject to discuss openly on web. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place for people who are not "old money" or present minors.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Charming family run large house with pool. Really relaxing and very comfortable. Attention to detail in every aspect. The breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.
Cons: Location not ideal, 10/15 minutes walk from centre of Cascais.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: All round a high quality experience. Very comfortable accommodation with well trained and attentive staff. Great bedroom, excellent facilities, calm and relaxed atmosphere in a very upmarket, residential neighborhood. Generous, nourishing breakfast included. Best for mature couples with two or more nights to spend in Cascais.
Cons: It’s situated too far from the beachfront action and requires a taxi ride each way. You can walk the approximately two kilometers but it’s not interesting and there’s not much en route. That’s not a real disadvantage considering the high quality of the accomodation and the outstanding service of Uber, but bear that in mind. The bedroom is not equipped with tea and coffee making facilities or a bar fridge and the addition of these small comforts would be an advantage.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Being able to walk to downtown - less than half an hour. Quiet. Great amenities, including a pool area. We had a nice port wine tasting during happy hour.good
Cons: Nothing. Everything was fine.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous villa, breakfast was delicious staff were so friendly and helpful
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in room. A little too far from town for walking
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing environment. Good service . Clean . Good breakfast and food. Hosts do everything to make live comfortable .
Cons: Sometimes it ook some time to get thins done but this is probable that we are coming from hectic working environment where things have to be done immidiately. Pool could be heated with solar energy to make it possible to swim even in colder periods. Will be appreciated by several guest during our stay!
5,8 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good, although extra was charged for any coffee not out of coffee flask. It seems that the property wasnt quite as advertised...no free pick-ups from airport...no afternoon teas...no wine tasting or yacht trips available.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. Friendly and so helpful.
Cons: Was just a little far away from the village and beach.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners with great service , a very nice Boutique hotel with lovely rooms and great pool and living room
Cons: Location at a main road is also during night noisy with open windows . For Cascais city center one needs a car and find a parking space
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A real home from home. We stayed for 3 nights after travelling down from St Malo, France, to visit the Harley Davidson Rally in Cascais. So I was more than pleased when the guest house more than exceeded my expectations. They allowed us to park our motorbikes behind the security gates, which is always a bonus. We had a big comfortable room with big light bathroom. Breakfast was full of choice, and very well presented. What more could you say, everyone made our stay perfect.
Cons: Nothing

5,8 Okay
Pros: It is fancy but not really up to the 5 star standard, I suspect it is due to the historical place otherwise it would be 4
Cons: The staff is general is great but I have to give a bad review. We stayed there for a night and also enjoyed the restaurant. I give a bad review for the staff because when we arrived we had a platter of cheese. As my girlfriend is pregnant we asked if all the cheese were pasteurized and she assured us that it was. Thing is we discovered at the airport that this type of cheese is never pasteurized (even the one you buy at duty-free). NEVER LIE TO A CUSTOMER especially a pregnant one especially at a five star hotel. Basically the old woman at the snack bar risked the life of my unborn child for no reason.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained, great staff and nice rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service and ambiance. Views from the common areas were stunning.
Cons: Our first floor room just had a tiny window.
7,0 Good
Pros: The tasting menu in the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: I had a room at the ground floor that was incredibly noisy. The cooling system from the kitchen was positioned just below my window.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Captivating location w historical interest. Dinner was like artwork. Amazing evening. Loved the welcome fruit basket
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Was our anniversary and staying in the hotel. The staff left us a very kind surprise in the room. The location is unbeatable and I would stay here very time.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located on a cliff and overlook two beautiful beaches. It was a great feeling when you arrived and walked through the main gate. This place definitely worth a stay.
Cons: I guess the rooms are kind of small and not as comfortable as we have expected. I also think the ocean water was too cold to swim without an wet suit.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location, service and facilities. This was a special treat and did not disappoint
Cons: It’s 7km from town but that is a plus point

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was extraordinary. The pools were lovely. The staff at the kids club could not possibly been better. My kids genuinely raced each other to arrive their each day, and had no hesitation staying there without us. This is absolutely the perfect vacation for a family with young kids.
Cons: We didn't love the dinner at the restaurants but this is possibly because we are vegetarian and had fewer options. The children did love the pizza.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The property is really made for kids! The staff is super prepared to deal with the parents and the kids and the premise is amazing! Truly recommend to any family, spcially smaller kids.
Cons: Really nothing. If to say something, only as a recommendation, the floor of the bathrooms in the suites are quite slippery, not only for the kids but also for adults. And, maybe the restaurant could have better options with a more reasonable prices.
7,0 Good
Pros: Rooms were spacious and an easy 30 minute drive from Lisbon
Cons: Some of the furniture in the room showed clear signs of wear and tear. Also, for a family friendly resort, not opening the main pool area before 11am is somewhat bizarre
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very much liked the What’s App concierge, just text for everything, no need to call reception. Kids loved the playground. Kids Club also very nice. Villa is great.
Cons: nothing
9,3 Excellent
Cons: A little too pricey
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great for kids and main restaurant is very good. Staff really tried.
Cons: We were unlucky and had an ant infestation in the kitchen but staff changed our location after complaint. The bar restaurant service was slow.
7,0 Good
Pros: It was a nice and comfortable place for staying
Cons: There is the SPA area was so noisy. It was only one quiet place in the hotel where guests who are traveling without children have a rest. The hotel have a lot facilities for families with children. I’m traveling with my 17-year old child and we didn’t find place for relax.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing!! The kids club check in process, transfers, and children's amenities were excellent. I'm 8 months pregnant with a 5 and 2 year old, and my husband and I wanted to relax a bit before the new baby, the hotel and experience was perfect for that!
Cons: Breakfast was very good! However, I think the food for dinner could have been better. We ate all our meals for 4 nights at the hotel and I would only say a hand full of items were great. One night there was an Italian buffet which was the only option, and ALL the food was cold.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Super Family friendly, lots to do for kids, great breakfast
Cons: Restaurants average and overpriced
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The playground was exceptional. Staff friendly. Hotel well kept.
Cons: Service was slow at times. Some confusion one night Re bill .
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was exactly as in the pictures; we got what we expected. Room facilities were good, spa, pools, playgrounds, activities for the kids all excellent. There was never a sense of crowdiness anywhere, no fighting for sunchairs or having to queue up for the swings or pool table. Breakfast was absolutely superb every morning and was made even more special by the very friendly staff (thank you Nuno Mota). If possible have a massage in the spa, you will not regret it! Hotel staff were very quick to react if there was anything to be improved (thank you Monica). Location was perfect for walking, jogging, golfing, biking.. with some really lovely sightseeing within a few kilometers.
Cons: The hotel is clearly popular along families with small children. It is equipped so that there is not much need to leave the premises. However, if you'd prefer to try out different restaurants and go shopping and sightseeing the hotel is not a walking distance away from those places. Consider having a rental car, although hotel provides a very cheap shuttle service to Cascais a few times a day. Some of the prices for food and drink were too high in the hotel restaurants.

Pros: the Albatroz is the best location in Cascais overlooking both the beach and the boat harbour with great views from all public areas, and at the same time footsteps from the main street. Wonderfully decorated. Great bar, good food and sunny pool area. A seriously luxury hotel with a homely feel. Highly recommend
9,5 Excellent

9,5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The staff had a smile on their faces all the time and were always accommodating. The entire experience was memorable. We will return again.
Cons: The pool temperature was too cold and needed to be heated.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The service in general was excellent. Some of the breakfast/lunch waiting staff could have been more friendly and efficient. The Restaurant Manager Joao, appeared on our last day and the difference was quite noticable. The young lady serving drinks by the pool was excellent - a real tribute to the hotel. Our room 406 was delightful, beautifully decorated and spacious in the palace block behind the hotel.
Cons: See above re: waiting staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service was exceptional, yet friendly and relaxed. The location is perfect with sea views to die for and the station just a few minutes walk away so it is absolutely possible to travel via metro and train from the airport. Breakfast quality and variety superb!
Cons: No complaints
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location cannot be beat, hotel complied with all my requests regarding room even though made months in advance, view was incredible and very good food, including the buffet breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, great breakfast and we loved our room. We didn’t want to leave this picturesque hotel, so we will have to come back often
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
7,0 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: Noise from the beach all night every night and during the day. Loud music on beach just below pool. No access to beach directly from hotel. Hotel entrance is a small car park.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic. The service is very good. The breakfast and the view is very special. The stay is for the «memory book».
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located in Cascais with immediate beach access. Train station (for connecting to central Lisbon) 1 minute walk away and local shopping & restaurant area adjacent to hotel. Sufficiently small (60 rooms) to treat its guests as individuals and sufficiently large to provide the services a 5*-hotel should.. The staff is very friendly and guest-focused and combine professional and personal warmth. Will happily return not only as a business-visitor but also for private visits.
Cons:
4,7 Okay
Pros: The view from the hotel terraces is superior.
Cons: We have received a room that had a superior view over a city but was located next to huge airconditioning units for the hotel and whole shopping mall located on floors below the hotel (literally 10 meters on the same level/ level below). Therefore romantic nights on the tarace where not with city background noise but with quite dominant "pumping" noise of the airconditioning station units. We don't smoke and the fact that next to our terrace was a terrace used by staff to have a cigarette breaks was also a minus. Service was not at the level you expect from the boutique hotel e.g. we were not informed about dinner arrangements.
7,3 Good
Pros: Wonderful ambience and unobrtrusive service.
Cons: No
7,7 Good
Pros: Spectacular hotel, very special with uninterrupted views, felt very spoilt for the few days we were there.Food was excellent and not overpriced for such quality, service and most importantly view...
Cons: Pool small and railing around edge of cliff face should have vertical rails not horizontal rails.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb ,with amazing views and only a few seconds stroll to shops and restaurants. train staion very handy for going into lisbon. the staff very helpful and courteous. we will return.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great--just a few minutes walk from train station and right on the ocean. There was a beautiful stoned path to walk along the ocean for 30 minutes.

Pros: The location and quality of this hotel are outstanding. It is an expensive hotel but you get good value for money.
Cons:
6,0 Good
Pros: In nice part of town, friendly atmosphere
Cons: not tempted by the menu in the restaurant, a bit too fancy and service took quite a long time for lunch.

Cons: -
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a very comfortable 3-night stay at this small hotel in Monte Estoril. Perfectly located for the beach and main coastal train line. It is not a modern hotel but the bathroom was large, everything worked and we had a very warm welcome.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Spacious room with big balcony
Cons: Very noisy, especially the entrance door. Instead of fixing the door there is a paper saying : „close door with force until tight.“ Very noisy street as well . Breakfast was a desaster, very poor and for a decent coffee you need to pay one Euro extra.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, staff very helpful
Cons: N/a
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location very good. Welcoming and friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Very good breakfasts. Quirky and interesting accommodation. There was complimentary drinks available which was a nice touch.
Cons: Although the hotel couldn't do anything about it there was a problem with barking dogs at night. Traffic noise.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The host Fátima was helpful, she did the utmost to provide in our needs.
Cons: The ventilation in the bathroom could be improved, the fan didn't expel the humidity sufficiently, making the bathroom humid and damp after using, unless you keep the door open over night.

9,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms and centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The welcome drink and home made cake are very much appreciated.

Pros: Sofia the owner and the other ladies made me feel very welcome and at home. They are like a little family and you don’t feel like you are travelling alone. Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Everything was good
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: I would like to complain that I had to email twice and make a long-distance phone call (from another country, at my own expense) to request a refund that should have processed immediately by hotel staff when I checked out. In addition, when I made the long distance call to remedy this mistake, I was placed on hold for a few minutes without being informed first. This is just poor customer service.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent
Cons: only criticisms are :- did not quite think it was "5" star, and thought that to charge for coffee in the room was petty. We paid for half board and ate a couple of nights in the Hotels own restaurant, the food was excellent but averaged 1 hour per course, far too slow. The other nights we ate across the yard in the sister restaurant and the same comments apply, you could be sat down 20 mins before you were offered or got a drink
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Superior double room with Seaview is it was excellent
Cons: Main lobby bar lacked atmosphere
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff exceeded expectations, highly professional, very polite and very helpful.
Cons: Wish they had a larger pool or an outdoor pool, wish they were more child-friendly.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and the design of the hotel was very clean and modern. Liked the turndown service 2 pools was a real bonus. we had lunch in the restaurant in the courtyard which was fantastic
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in the room, and also no iron, they offer a pressing service but that was expensive 15 Euro for one dress At breakfast the food was uncovered and there were flies on all the pastries - they should cover them! Room was not ready when we arrived at 2.55pm (check in from 3pm!)

Pros: Great location close to the centre of Cascais. Wonderful rooms in this old fort.

Pros: Beautiful setting and great location.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was the best that the hotel offered. From the crunchy bacon to the honey and the nespresso coffe. Having breakfast with that view was great.
Cons: Reception table too high, receptionists shouldn't take our identification or credit cards from our sight, even less to copy them.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the hotel
Cons: I have 2 issues, although I believe we were in one of the more inexpensive rooms there is no where to sit and do your hair /makeup, i would have liked more salads on the menu but the food was fabulous
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, walkable to the downtown, but far enough away for quiet, water, coastal views.
5,5 Okay
Pros: Ocean facing balcony is nice
Cons: 1) they put us in the room that is far from the image as what we saw on booking.com. It said Ocean View but barely had any, the entrance was right behind the adjacent restaurant kitchen and the automatic blind in the bathroom did not work. after we complained they shifted us to the room with the right one that matched our booking, but they didn't apologize at all. 2) the food was not good at the bar, the shrimps were not fresh 3) we asked the door person to pick up our luggages upon checkout, but they sent someone who was not physically adept, so we ended up carrying our stuff by ourselves. This is not acceptable for a five star hotel in my view.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. They exceeded our expectations and was always there to do the little extra, such as serving cold fruit shots at the pool or helping with printing of boarding passes or sending an iPhone charge we forgot to our home address. Just perfect excellent service

Pros: Spent 7 days at Farol. Very relaxing and fantastic location. Special shout out to Monica on reception. Super efficient and could not do enough regarding reserving restaurants etc. Rooms and views were fantastic.
Cons: Service at breakfast was very stsnd offish and the staff were not forthcoming with breakfast options. You guys are bit stingy with the pool towels. Really should be 2x Per Person
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Service and staff just as you would expect for a hotel of this rating.
Cons: Hot breakfast selection was very limited. Who cooks poached eggs and puts them in a warmer? There is a charge 1.0Euro per cup of coffee in your room, very cheeky! The hotel management should think again, particularly when I was told this is a regular guest complaint. So they do know about it. And the real killer when I asked for an additional tea bag for my afternoon tea I was initially charged 4.80Euro!! After some discussion this was removed from my bill.

Pros: The setting of the hotel is breath-taking, only to be matched by the incredible service. A true gem!

Pros: Fantastic villa Bicuda, thanks again for our lovely holidays. We have been visiting vila Bicuda for last 12-14 years and always received perfect service. Staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful, location is great and extremely convenient (swimming pool, nice cafe, play area for kids). All is perfectly maintained, Vilas are clean and convenient, everyone is friendly. Again perfect experience and can't wait for next year ;-).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location and access to pool :) The staff very warm and welcoming! A special thank to the cleaning team and security team ;)
Cons: We could hear too much the neighbors and the floors are really cracking especially the steps.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Always helpful
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Overall comfortable villa’s & very nice swimming pools. Good bakery on the complex. Good location; perfect for visiting Cascais & Lisbon.
Cons: Villa’s are slightly dated and we needed to ask for the shower heads & light bulbs to be replaced on arrival. This explains my lower value for money score. For this money you would expect pool towels to be included.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great vila but we didn’t utilize all facilities to really rate all of their facilities. I can say Positives: - kitchen, bathroom and room were big and useful utensils and espresso machine - kind staff at office and bakery/ although don’t use restaurant recommendations of Furnas do Guincho- worst lunch and so expensive for terrible “food” - parking easy - having a supermarket, and a sandwich/ bakery restaurant made life much easier since nothing is close by or within walking distance - rooms were big with nice balcony and comfy bed -flat tv with great and varied channels for many languages.
Cons: Disappointing: - first 2 espresso pods are free, anymore are .45€ each and they are the gestapo about giving you more than 1 sugar packet per pod. - the rooms are very noisy. The floors are old and beautiful but they creek loudly. We heard the neighbors slamming cabinets and playing with their kid u til 2 am. I called front desk and finally had to knock on door to let them know we could hear them. - ants. Every where. We appreciate that it’s nature and it’s going to happen especially since this is an older place, but the 1st morning I woke up to my entire suitcase full of clothes swarming in ants. They aren’t sealing the floorboards- so the ants come from the corner of the base boards and floors- not necessarily from the balcony. They were kind and very helpful about it- but I’d prefer no chemicals. I emptied and swept and cleaned and so did they, but for future prevention I believe sealing rather than chemicals would help them & the families staying there. - you should be a dog lover to stay here. Lots of them. Everywhere. Disappointing for those of us who prefer holidays without other people’s barking dogs - nice grounds but mostly unattended. Most all flowers and shrubs outside balcony and rooms are dead and just weeds. - probably the most disappointing was that we had to pay to use towels for the pool or beach. And they are around 2€ each and are charged if you change. We thought this should be included

Pros: Service
Cons: Price
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere in the quiet Cascais Sintra National forest was great. They have a free shuttle to and from Cascais until late afternoon. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The free shuttle to Cascais only runs until 6 pm. It is nice to get into town for an evening dinner, and then you simply Uber back to the hotel for $6-7. Overall, for a hotel a couple miles from Cascais, it is a good choice for the price we got.
5,5 Okay
Pros: The hotel aanounce proudly to be a five star hotel but it is only worth 3 stars We hired a luxury apartment for six persons with 3 bed rooms but it not equipped for so many People and in a rather run down condition We can mentioned amongst others The washing machine was out of order The main door could not close properly The lock on th toilet door did not work There where only two glasses and no coffee cups, no toilet paper No chairs for the terrace so we could sit outside in one of the four terraces .. And a lot of other small items
Cons: As mentioned above
6,3 Good
Pros: Main hotel very clean, reception staff lovely, room great. Nothing not to like.
Cons: The pool area! Pool itself was fine, children loved it but the surrounding area wasn’t clean, always rubbish on the floor, tables were dirty, sun beds broken/not clean. Pool bar staff nowhere near as friendly/helpful/accommodating as reception staff (with the exception of one of them). Also resort (pool area in particular) was very windy for much of our stay, to the extent on occasion sun beds (unoccupied ones) were physically moved by the wind.

Cons: I stayed in this hotel from 26th July until 4th August. They charged me twice and my card was blocked as result! Second time was after checking out when I already paid my bill ! I spent half a day sanding them e-mails, explaining the situation and they promised to contact with me during the day. Finally, they didn’t connect with me and I still don’t get my money back!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great and for great value. The staff was superb. I relied on them extensively and they were great. The staff offered excellent tour and restaurant suggestions.
Cons: Service was poor at the hotel's only restaurant open on my last night's stay. I complained to the management and their response was appropriate. That is the only complaint that I have over a four night's stay. Everything else was excellent.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Had a warm welcome and Lovely friendly staff at the front desk, staff wasn’t very friendly at breakfast
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast, Staff and cleanliness. Beautiful and peaceful location.
Cons: Air-condition was not up to par. They missed cleaning room on 12th October (no door tag for "clean room request") Amount was pre-paid but still showed as due on check-out. It took about 30-45 minutes to sort out the problem.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Girl who make omlets.
Cons: Horrible for 5 star resort. This Sheraton is an example of disaster of management. First of all checkin is at 16 oclock. Do you think is posible to have apartment at 15.59? No, of course not, even you are in the lobby from 14.30. No bar in the lobby to spent time. We received at 16.30 after many requests. Luggage and almost 17. Is only hotel in my entire history of booking (more then 100) where you have to wait 30 minuts in the morning your turn at breakfast (picture atached) You have to pay for wifi in the room. Ok i payed, “2 euro, per adult\day”. Of course your 13 year kid is considered an adult and they charge this. After i payed they said to me i can connect 2 devices. (We were 4 guests 2 adults and 2 kids). Even if i payed at the checkout, they still keep blocked on your creditcard the entire amount guarantee, more then 2 weeks. Do tou think you have for ex cofee in the room? Yes, you have. Nespresso machine and costs 3 euro each. Every single thing you make in the property you feel they rub you. Avoid.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The suites are amazing- spacious, well designed, quiet. The pool area looks so appealing and inviting.
Cons: There are not enough recliners if the pool area is busy.
6,8 Good
Pros: location and the total concept of the hotel resort. Rooms are large. The facilities of the hotel are good and enjoyable.
Cons: we had a dirty bed.
5,0 Okay
Pros: I chose this hotel only for my children. Unfortunately, my 10-year-old daughter was physically and psychologically abused by one of the children's club staff who deliberately beat her. The hotel management apologized but I do not think that was enough. My daughter still suffers from this situation and I think she will never forget it. I asked the hotel to give me a report of what had happened but did not respond to my request

Pros: Location is very good. Facilities are decent.
Cons: Quality of food is low. Services are only just ok. Villas are poorly managed, old, smelly and not clean.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable hotel. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Service in the bar was shockingly bad except on our last night. Waited over an hour for food and drinks extremely slow to appear.
7,0 Good
Pros: It was a good atmosphere and good rooms. Pool side wasn’t to crowed. Massages were excellent! Breakfast was good & plenty of choices for those who are more vegetarian oriented.
Cons: Advertisement on health facilities does not live up to the what’s actually available. Only 5 machines, with 2 properly working and to many kids running and playing on them which doesn’t make your work out space comfortable. Same for inside pool, when coming out of the sauna it’s super crowded and noisy with kids screaming. Wellness areas should have a mandatory kids free area or clear instructions on do’s & don’t. But overall good experience!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyday the same but very tasty
5,5 Okay
Pros: Very comfy bed, great views and lovely front desk staff.
Cons: The resort is miles from anywhere and they take full advantage of this. Severely overpriced food for the quality and drinks are triple the cost of in town. Cleaning staff will disregard 'do not disturb ' signs and enter your room without knocking.
7,0 Good
Pros: Lovely pool area, nice location for walks - Lidl about 25 mins walk away and a taxi to Cascais main area was 5euro. Lovely hotel and very clean.
Cons: There was no tea and coffee making facility in the room, no complimentary water which was a bit poor for a 5* hotel. The prices for drinks at the pool bar very expensive and not realistic if your spending a day by the pool. Gym was very poor - no free weights only 3 cardio machines.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very good a quite atmosphere
Cons: The piano bar was most irritating could be something more updated modern Very few appreciate pianos music Majority of the guests were youngsters not many old people modern music the guests will remain in hotel and spend like this most of guests went swY to Cascais Also there was not much for children pass time. A small mini golf or PutPut would be a good source of income .

Pros: A modern hotel without any character. The rooms are huge with comfortable bed and lovely balcony. Coffee facilities in the room but only 2 coffee pods per stay a charge is made for further pods! Nice outside bar overlooking the pool area. The staff at reception were consistently very good. We didn’t have any meals at the hotel but it looked very good quality.
Cons: We were a group of 7, everyone liked their rooms. Most of the staff were very good especially those at reception. There was one incident that ruined our 4 night stay. We were at the outside bar as a group sat under the parasols enjoying the shade. Mr Juliano Domingues, who told us he was the bar manager came over and told us to move as he wanted the table we were sat at for some other guests, this wasn’t a polite request it was a very rude order. When we said “no”, because there wasn’t another table big enough for our group and no other table had any shade he told the waiter not to serve the drinks we had ordered. He then came over to our table with another member of staff and both of them started an argument with members of our party. Never have I come across such a rude attitude from a hotel ‘manager’. We eventually had to move to get a drink from the bar, I told him he owed my group an apology which never came I then gave him the bar bill and told him he was paying for the drinks! He took the bill and that was the last we saw of him.

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: The hotel is not in any way a 5 Star hotel. The facilities are bad, hotel is not in any way beautiful, bur very old looking. The personel we’re rude, they we’re not service minded at all, you had to pay extra to use their spa facilities as a guest, they told us to leave the breakfast area 10 minutes after the buffet closed. In general the worst hotel experience. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Pros: - Clean - Amazing Location - Exceptional Staff - Size of the room - Good Fitness Center - Good Swimming Pool
Cons: - No Intimacy of the bathroom / toilet in the bedroom, specially the toilet - Restaurant has good quality, but not a lot of options
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast - very good fruit quality. Waiting a little long in the morning, untrained personnel.... Very quiet and lovey surroundings.
Cons: The restaurant in the golf court was okay, but definitely too pricey. If you have a car, the fish restaurants just outside the street atre better and less expensive. No coffee refills! Punishment for guests who stay longer...
7,5 Good
Pros: Lots of space in the rooms, nice swimming pool.
Cons: Classical and Opera music for breakfast... kind of a mood breaker... Not great value for money
7,5 Good
Pros: Modern Property With Great views and good kitxhen
Cons: It lacks atmosphere ; really designed to house large conferences
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was an excellent trip!! I love this hotel!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The site is exceptional and the hotel staff very friendly. Particular note to the breakfast, excellent. Rooms are large and the terrace offers great views.
Cons: Considering the size of the hotel, the gym location (underground and no natural light access) could be reviewed. The balnéothérapie area and experience is very average and the access fee for guests is not a great idea. Restaurants over-priced overall for the level of experience especially dinner.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Golf club, heated outdoor pool, large bedroom, soft bed, proximity to seafood restaurants, warm staff, access to bikes, good breakfast, not far from center of the town

Pros: We loved our room with a view over Cascais. The house is located in a very nice neigbourhood and the people are very friendly. There is the windsurf shop downstairs of the apartment where they are happy to answer any questions.
Cons: Around a certain time it has to be quiet. As the house is noisy, this can be a challenge when you come home later or if you like to get something out of the kitchen.

Pros: Staff were friendly. Location good
Cons: Room was stuffy and not well aired out. Non smoking rooms had been smoked in. Room was a bit dark and dingey with some broken items such as the bathroom door that wouldnt close. However location was good and staff were friendly. The pool is nice but would benefit from a non smoking area

Pros: Hotel was in a great location. Breakfast was really well run and staff were very helpful.
Cons: Reception staff were not overly friendly or accommodating, very little entertainment in the evening.

Pros: Our family had our fourth summer holiday there this year. It was simply outstanding. The staff were excellent especially Michael on reception who went out of his way to help us. Well Done Vila Gale.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location is great. The size of the rooms are very good.
Cons: The beds and pillows are horrible. The mattress is very hard and the pillows are old foam. The hotel is kept to a minimum of service. The employees are very attentive and nice but very rare to find.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellently. Rooms were perfect. Breakfast was substantial. Staff were friendly and helpful. Amazing week overall.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and family friendly hotel.
Cons: The lighting in the restaurant is too dark; especially at breakfast. It would be nice to have more comfortable seating outside, near bar. The décor in the suite/family room was old-fashioned, it needs updating - and better lighting. It was too dark in the room. All was very clean and comfortable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good only gripe was on a couple of occasions all the plates were wet the dishwasher obviously needed fixing
Cons: Could do with some lighting in the wardrobe and a gym would be a good addition.
6,8 Good
Pros: Pleasant and helpful restaurant staff and also in the bar. Position of hotel very good, beautifully kept gardens, pool area, and play area. The pool snack bar was very reasonably priced if you didn’t want to venture out for a light lunch.
Cons: When we booked it said it had a kids club ( even adverts on kids pillows in bedroom ) but reception denied they ever had one. Housekeeping not consistent for a 4 star hotel, also conditions of some of the rooms we had booked, especially the junior suite, which said in the write up overlooking gardens ( which they had very pretty gardens, very well kept) when we asked reception they said that it was, well if looking at parked cars and the wall and tree line of the park is considered the garden, you need a good imagination. Also in need of a refurb.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The pool and grounds were excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly. But overall great location, pool and A/C a great place to explore Caiscas.
Cons: The rooms suited our needs but were a little dated. Hallways a little dark. Carpets could be replaced. It seemed like they were renovated some rooms though. Matresses a little firm for my liking.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Nice room with excellent view. Decent breakfast.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is gorgeous, really well kept and spotless clean. The location is excellent. The 2 bar men there most nights are super friendly and genuinely nice.
Cons: Some of the staff could have been friendlier. Also we had a family room but there was very little wardrobe space for 4 people.

Pros: very good variety everything was delicious. croissant where amazing
Cons: maybe a shuttle to the beach or casino
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Quirky hotel with lots of charm. Room 024 in New section beautiful. Fantastic bathroom and loads of space. Due to a maintenance issue Thanks to Louis in reception we were immediately looked after and allocated Room 206. Very nice room but bathroom very small. Huge balcony overlooking the sea. Would definitely prefer room in New section.
Cons: In room 206 Mattress cover was plastic which made the bed very uncomfortable. We took it off and all was well. Difficult to understand why they don't use cotton cover. No marmalade at breakfast. Coffee not great.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is very comfortable, partly ultra modern partly colonial type with old style furnishing and rooms with high ceilings, decor throughout very quirky, the interior designer was obviously slightly eccentric with a great sense of humour. Breakfast amazing with huge choice to suit all tastes. Car parking free for up to six cars.
Cons: Our room was directly above the hotel bar which had music playing from 0700-0001,which became a problem in the quieter hours pre midnight as we could hear the music in our room. To their credit when we pointed it out to reception they made sure it was turned off every night at midnight and not left droning on till the small hours.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: There was an new annex with very nice rooms. Original style. The pool and the terrace with a view. A nice breakfast in a pleasant room, with good service. The combination of an old grand hotel with modern flair. The location in the center of Estoril.
Cons: An unfriendly welcome at the reception and the same attitude when we wanted to rent a bike. Seeing the efforts the hotel did to make a pleasant ambiente you would expect a more positive approach towards the customer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Polite Staff, cleanliness, perfect location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly staff, nothing too much trouble
4,2 Okay
Cons: This hotel is really over-rated. In the standard of the United States, this hotel's rating should be 2.5, not 4.0. It is really misleading to list this hotel as a four star hotel. On the second day of our stay, the hotel did not have hot water in the morning, and we had to cold shower in middle of January. My wife got a little sick afterward. The hotel room is small, and there is unpleasant smell in the room and also from the shower curtain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was quirky and interesting. Staff were the most helpful and friendliest if ever met
Cons: I liked everything about it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loves the pool and the room
7,5 Good
Pros: Well, the Inglaterra is 2 minutes from the Centro de Congresos, so if you're traveling for a conference, the location couldn't be better. I also liked the spacious bathroom and – bonus! – the welcome gift of two chocolate leaves by Porto manufactory Arcadia. (There's a store down towards the railway station, looking at the park, absolutely recommended.) Breakfast was good and sustaining (it somehow didn't feel _great_, just good, but that's a feeling).
Cons: The hotel is in a Belle Époque building, and some parts (like the wardrobe in the room) seem run-down. Plus, there were some strange little nuisances like the safe locker not working or one morning when they didn't open breakfast until 7:30, and some 40 of us were standing there waiting.

7,0 Good
Pros: The swimming pool is really great. The house is in one of the Cascais neighborhoods, it is walkable to the city center but we drove by car. Margarita gave us usefull tips for our trip after our stay!
Cons: The room was quite simple. The finishing could need some attention, it wasn’t all that fresh anymore, in particular the bathroom. In comparison to other places we visited, pricing was ok.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The help we received with planning sight-seeing trips, beach recommendations and where to eat; all just right for our needs.

Pros: Room had a balcony and was well laid out. Free use of the kitchen. Very welcoming and helpful host.
Cons: Not well insulated. Quiet place but woke up with other guests noise in the morning.

4,3 Okay
Cons: this hotel hosts weddings and there was a very loud outdoor wedding party the night I checked in.. I found this to be very disruptive and would not recommend this hotel for that reason.
5,5 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: It wasn’t clean
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Wifi really weak
6,3 Good
Pros: The free spa was great Nice swimming pool and bar area
Cons: Rooms are in need of a refresh, looking quite dated; Generic coffee pods for 2 euros if you need extra; Staff can be a hit or a miss, you never know if you are getting one with smile or a "grumpy" portuguese
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel has a good location. However I would expect from a 5* hotel that everyone speaks english. I had to get plates & cutlery myself at the breakfast table as the person that was cleaning up the tables didnt understand he should have cleaned the table before us. Also, we had a very nice terrace at the room but there was a dead little bird on the chair that was lying there for at least a week. Breakfast was great as well as the Spa & location!
Cons: See above
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Good menu at restaurant. Dining room overlooks ocean. Pool and spa facilities. A bit outside main tourist area. Quiet.
Cons: Was not given a room with terrace as confirmed in booking.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Room was very comfortable and the stay was very pleasant overall
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, though not bad. Pool was somewhat exposed to the noise in the nearby street. Our room was not sound proof and we could hear movements in the upper room.
6,8 Good
Pros: Location calm plus good breakfast
Cons: Coffee. This hotel needs a bit of tlc. It is getting slightly scruffy in places.
6,8 Good
Cons: Once check in, found - bath tub can’t hold water - shower handle can’t work - side bed lamp not work - horrible breakfast
