Pros: Nice guy at check in process. He was busy but took time to acknowledge I was there. He was trying to help a very needy guest in front of me. He apologized for my wait and thanked me for my patience. I appreciate his concern even though the delay was caused by the guest in front of me not your attendant.
Cons: Breakfast was not very good at all. Compared to most complimentary breakfast's I have seen (I travel often) this one was well below average. I would prefer to have a biscuit, eggs and gravy offered. Not everyone likes bagels. I left and got breakfast from somewhere else. This definitely will come in to play with my decision on where to stay when I return in a few weeks.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was so clean , beautiful decor friendly staff
Cons: Everything was perfect
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Variety of choices, Starbucks coffee, specialty teas and jellies. Loved the fresh morning glory muffins. Fitness center was phenomenal - probably one of the best I've been in (one of the main reasons I chose this hotel). Lobby and surrounding rooms were clean with a very high-end feel. Check-in staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and temperature controls were good. Thankful to have the Keurig available as well. Bathroom was clean and the shampoo/conditioner/lotion was a step up from the usual. Hotel location was convenient to Wake Forest University and many stores/restaurants.
Cons: Would have liked coffee available in the lobby. It was only in the breakfast area and not as convenient (made it feel restricted to just breakfast-goers). Breakfast was included in our hotel cost, but I think you usually have to pay extra for it. At that $13/adult rate, I don't think the breakfast would have been worth the cost.

Cons: The hotel had bedbugs!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and I loved that the mattress had an encasement! Pillows were very comfy too.
Cons: Wish there was another towel rack in the bathroom.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I had to leave before breakfast was served so I don't know anything about their breakfast. It would have been nice if I had a bag of a few things to take out before my day but I suppose that is for the more expensive hotels.
Cons: The bed was very hard so I slept poorly. I could hear kids running up and down the halls after 10pm at night. I had to ask for more bath linens cause they were not replaced. I stayed 5 days for business and when I got to the last linens by the 4th day they didn't leave me any. They ran out of decaf coffee so I had no coffee for 2 days. The good?, it was very clean, the sheets you could tell were washed in soap (I've been to many Holiday Inn and the bed linens smell terrible). The cleanliness of every where, rooms, halls, outside was all exceptional. Despite everything I would still return to stay here cause knowing I'm some place clean is everything.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, accessible, affordable
Cons: The comforter was too hot. The hotel needs to provide blankets as an alternative
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Super convenient to major highways, and the South & West sides of the city. A stone’s throw from Hanes Mall and dozens of restaurants, in every price range. The place is very clean and well kept. Easy parking, but you’ll have to navigate through the lots of both The Outback and Microtel to get to it. The staff is awesome! From the desk, to housekeeping, to the hospitable breakfast hostess, everyone was considerate, and saw to every detail even with a bus load of kids there for the weekend! I’d have given a perfect score had it not been for an elevator being out of service, and the other being very slow. Happily I was only on the second floor, and was less inconvenienced than others may have been that weekend. I’ll definitely return! Great value!
Cons: Broken elevator that left only one available.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was absolutely wonderful! The rooms could be a bit more tidy.

Pros: Staff was friendly but not particularly helpful

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice front desk and breakfast staff. Love the big TVs in the bar and breakfast area. We will stay again!
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The overall appearance of the hotel was that it had been a nice big name chain hotel at one time but it was now privately owned and minimal money had been put towards upkeeping it. The sink backed up after leaving the water on for a couple minutes and there was black residue left in the sink after it finally drained.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location is perfect if you are visiting Wake AND want to go to football game.
Cons: Our room had a variety of bugs -alive and dead on the floor. Not sure when room had been cleaned last. We were moved to another room where we found one bug but slept. Staff was very nice. Room was very cheap so I guess this could be expected, so go into this hotel with the right expectations I suppose.

Pros: location was perfect for us,close to football game and an easy drive to downtown.the staff was very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was very good as was the bed.
Cons: the price we paid was a little high but I realize it was a busy weekend in winston

Cons: Place was not only under VERY heavy construction, but the two staff I dealt with, Anthony and Patricia, were undoubtedly the rudest people I've ever encountered at a property anywhere, in all my travels. I am honestly shocked this place is still in business, and judging from the lack of people there on a Friday night, they probably won't be for long. I'd suggest to stay far away from this place.
6,8 Good
Pros: Awesome price, comfortable beds. Great location!
Cons: Some staff were unprofessional. Small tv, tight bathroom w/o a fan in it. Fridge also in a bad spot.

Pros: Staff are friendly and efficient.
Cons: The rooms are old and tired. The toilet seat is scratched and worn. The doors do not fit properly and there are wide gaps between doors and frame letting lots of cold draughts, light and noise. This hotel needs to be refurbished and you should not pay these rates for such a run down place.

Pros: It was convenient to the event I attended downtown, and I liked that the grocery store was right out front of the hotel. It was clean and had a nice breakfast.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the musty smell in our room. I think it came from the shower curtain, even though it looked clean, but it wasn’t a big deal, but I would want to know if I were the manager or owner.

Pros: The location was great! I was close to where I needed to be.

Pros: Lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was not worth $130.00. Was clean but carpet had a wad of hair in several places, huge centipede on the ceiling. Linens were very clean but room overall smelled little musty like an older hotel room. I wouldn’t pay over $80.00 for that room.

7,0 Good
Pros: Location was great. Located in the heart of downtown and a very youthful and lively downtown. Felt safe for walking around.
Cons: Room did not have any outside windows.
5,0 Okay
Cons: I work nights so I tend to sleep late. Checkout wasn't until noon but starting at 8am I had housekeeping knocking every 15 minutes asking if I'm ready for them to begin cleaning and one guy came by just to ask if I'm checking out.
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: No air conditioning! Toilet leaking! Needs total remodel! Bar tenders ver y nice and accomadating! !
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Straight forward deal of a hotel downtown. Convenient for the occasion and great to meet with multiple families for a performance in town.
Cons: Dated elevators with excessive waiting time, especially when kids think it is fun to chase each other up and down on the elevators. one Of three elevators seemed to be out of order. Breakfast is ok if included in the room rate but not worth it to be purchased. Although the staff was friendly.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was very impressive. The bed was comfortable. Afternoon complementary beverages and snacks were a plus. The location was right next door to where I was attending a convention.
Cons: The inside looks very outdated. I was put into a handicapped accessable room and the shower head holder was broken so when I showered I had to hold the shower head between my feet to prevent the water from spraying out into the rest of the bathroom.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The location , bartender was excellent, breakfast was ok
Cons: What a downhill slide this place has taken. There was no coffee pot in the room, although there was coffee and associated accoutrements, no pot. When one was sent up, it was broken. Then, one of the front desk personnel stated that they didn’t have any more...Room service has gone from actual plates, glasses, etc., to a glorified “boxed lunch”, with increased prices. The tile in the shower was nasty, the elevators were in poor repair, and the cleaning staff were in the guest elevators with nasty mop water, dirty linen was left in front of guest room doors until collected MUCH later, etc., etc. It was like paying $175 a night for a $50 room. After staying at this property for more than five years, I won’t be back. Since Hilton took over this property, it’s been in total decline.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Literally everything else.
Cons: The 2 hour wait to check in.
6,0 Good
Pros: The food staff was wonderful. The dinner menu was very good and reasonably priced for hotel food. Not slot of hallway noise.
Cons: Did not get the king room I reserved. No real compensation was offered due to the fact I booked through booking.com. The night auditor was very confused during my check in.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The hotel was not good at all, I always like hotel like this one but this in particular was nasty, the entire hotel need a mayor remodeled not happy
Cons: Everything in general except the breakfast
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Loved the included breakfast and having coffee, refrigerator, and microwave in the room! And ALL of the staff I encountered was so incredibly friendly!
Cons: Seems silly, but the bathroom not having a vent fan was a downer to me. It got so hot in there with showering and using vanity after while keeping the door closed for my privacy and out of respect for sleeping roommates. Overall, the hotel and rooms seem a little dated. Our doors were noisy to open and close, which again makes it tough to be courteous to sleeping roommates. And the bathroom door was VERY hard to close all the way, so it stayed slightly ajar most of the time.
