Pros: We arrived later than expected but had a fantastic welcome and were even offered a choice of rooms. Everyone was lovely and prepared to chat with us in spite of our halting Spanish! Great hotel, full of charm, two minutes away from a lovely square and the town centre. Would recommend it to anyone.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very welcoming & helpful
Cons: Noisy until quite late. Due to bar close by.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An old building in the old town centre with boundless charme around a pretty courtyard. 3 minutes to the nearest beach, about 10 to the big beach. Our room boasted a little terrace overlooking the street and chairs on the balcony of the inner courtyard. The room was small but very functional. If you come in high season you might prefer a room giving onto the courtyrad as it is calmer
Cons: Nothing not to like
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room was cleaned, beds made and towels were changed every day. Fabulous shower. It was excellent value for money. The host was very friendly and welcoming. A smattering of books to swap if you so desired.
Cons: Can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely traditional hotel in the old town centre. Comfortable beds, small fridge in room, quiet, friendly welcome. Walking distance to beach, parking, market, bars and restaurants but down a side street so more peaceful.
Cons: Like most hotels in the old town, no private parking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at Gran Capital on 3 occasions over the past five years. It is exceptionally well run and will revisit when we next go down to that part of Spain. The situation in the center of Chipiona is full of interest and enjoyment with a number of excellent restaurants nearby. It certainly ticks all the boxes for us.

Pros: Fabulous location. Well appointed room with kitchen facilities and good sound proofing. Very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location, the friendly, helpful staff, well maintained pool and bar areas along with standards of cleanliness I have never experienced in a hotel / apartment made this the ideal holiday venue for us!
Cons: A comfy chair in the apartment would have been nice!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice and very well maintained appart-hotel; it is situated in the prettiest part of Chipiona and you can’t be closer to the beach than this. Comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom with a bathtub and fully equipped kitchen. Initially there was no kettle, neither a toaster there, but when we enquired in the reception we were promptly given both. There’s nice solarium on the roof with a bar, where you can get a brekkie, beer or a cocktail, and two working jacuzzis. Very polite and efficient staff. Parking was easy too.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very clean
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Made the extension of our stops with them and at our next location very easy. Direct access to beach and a short walk to town centre.
Cons: Nothing
7,0 Good
Pros: We had an apartment with a large bedroom and a balcony overlooking the street. The swimming pool was small but clean and cool and the terrace by the pool offered a choice of good loungers or tables and chairs. the roof terrace had two jacuzzis which were excellent.
Cons: traffic and sometimes people were noisy until late at night and started again at around 0500 - but this is a town with a lot of people on holiday. At night we didn't find it easy to find the balance between being too hot or too cold. If we closed the window the bedroom was too hot. the airconditioning unit was in the kitchen at the other end of the apartment and the bedroom got too cold if we left the bedroom door open.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was fine. The room was clean.
Cons: The pool closes from 3-5pm which was inconvenient. The noise from the local festival happening beside the hotel made sleep impossible for my elderly parents until 5am each night. Requested a quiet room as my mother has just finished chemotherapy and has little energy to stay awake late at night. The receptionist told us that the basement room they were assigned would not be disturbed by noise with the windows and doors closed. Totally incorrect. Requested to leave and be reimbursed after 3 out of 7 nights of no sleep. This was denied. No warning on booking.com or the hotel website about elevated noise that weekend. Would not return. Very disappointing.
7,9 Good
Pros: The fact that it is facing the ocean which is beautiful. The breakfast on the roof was nice too.
Cons: The fact they did not say that apartments for 4 people are in the back facing the street and with noise and no view. We felt cheated on. It should have been clearly explained on the website when one makes the reservation.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Having stayed there two years ago the location is particularly good both for the beach and the restaurants in the centre of town
Cons: Alas people who smoke allow the smoke from outside to drift into the dining room
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I loved location and price. It was beautifull house, with nice pictures and decorations.
Cons: staff did'nt speak in english, so it was harder to communicate. And - I would love to have only cofe in breakfest, without food.
7,1 Good
Pros: It was close to the beach and lighthouse. When i said i didnt like the first room because of all the stairs, she changed it, there were still stairs but not as many ( i had asked for a ground floor room when i booked)
Cons: We were a party of 5, there was only us there over Christmas, the bedrooms am sure are great in the summer, but in the winter they were very damp and never seemed to dry out after the showers in the morning, the air conditioning heating was ok, it was the damp that got to us really, the shower was good but the shower holder very badly placed, the bathroom was very tight with a folding door, this needed to be open for you to dry yourself. The room was ok, bed ok. Breakfast was a little dismal, very cold conditions, very cold room, eating breakfast wearing coats and scarves is not much fun, no fresh bread, no hot foods at all....pre packed cheese slices, salami or choritzo sausage, or small pre packed spreads, hot chocolate was great after being microwaved but went cold very quickly because the room was cold. The hot water and coffee were the same. We were given toast but it was very hard....no heating in the dining room at all. The Wifi was not good, exasperatingly bad, Parking was ok in the street, i wouldnt stay there again. It was priced ok I suppose. Was nice to get out of the damp atmosphere, it should not have opened for the Christmas Holidays.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, and beautiful room. Very helpful owner who helped out with glue and clamps when the sole of motorcycle boot fell off. Secure motorcycle parking in the front yard which was locked at night.
Cons: Thought 8 euros was a bit expensive to park a bike in the front yard.
7,1 Good
Pros: Pleasant staff and on street parking was easy to find outside the premises.
Cons: Unfortunately we were on the ground floor at the front of the property. In the morning we were awoken by the motorbikes that were parked outside our room. I understand that the land to the front of the property is actually marketed as off road motorbike parking. Great for touring bikers, not so great for us!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The area , the Hostal reasonable bedroom size
Cons: Very dissapointed withe the WiFi It is a requirement for me to have contact with Family but in this Hostal it was not very often possible as it said sometimes wifi no internet or no connection what so ever I did complain and the manager did get the engineers and ok for a short time. I would prefere to know this before I book as would have altered Hostal. I had to use data roaming to use my mobile at all Expensive shame as otherwise complete nice place

Cons: I couldn't ask for better accommodation or location! Every aspect was outstanding! I would stay there again!
7,5 Good
Pros: Big clean apartment. Good location close to beaches.
Cons: Wi Fi did not work (my guess is that the owner did not pay for the winter period). Gas water heater did not work. We connected and repaired ourselves. Because the person who gave us key did not speak English at all.

Pros: The sea view and the oldie worldie feel to the place.
Cons: The bathroom fittings - they were functional but could have been nicer.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with a balcony with the sea view. And what is the most important with the very very helpful staff! Thank you Juan.
Cons: lack of the kitchen
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, just on the beach, a couple of minutes to the lighthouse. On-street parking. Chipiona is very calming place (in October). This hotel is the best place to feel it.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room with bathroom was clean and lovely. The check-in was done in Hostal Montserrat due to renovation of the other building. The room was situated few meters from the hostal in a different building in Avenida Jerez, just across the Monumento de la Luz. The interior of the building is decorated in typical andalusian style. The big plus was a small refrigerator placed in the room. There were towels, soap, shower gel, closet and a TV. Literally just 5 m from the beach, you only have to cross the street. I was leaving early in the morning, I was afraid that I won´t be able to leave the keys at the reception because it was closed, but I rang the bell and thankfully a lady opened the door and I could hand the keys over, obviously I woke her up, so sorry. It takes approximately 20 minutes by foot to get to the hostal from the bus station. To get to the center it might take also between 15 to 20 minutes, after 2 pm it´s practically empty and quite, after 20 pm it´s full of people and life. I can recommend to rent a bike from Bicicletas Valdés which is in Calle Miguel de Cervantes, 25 minutes from hostal by foot. I am not sure, If they offer WIFI. If the room had it, I didn´t use it.

5,8 Okay
Cons: The staff was rude, unhelpful and unprofessional; they could not understand we had added another night to our booking, and add difficulty explaining to us that they did not charge us already. Moreover, I had to wait a long time before they decided speaking to me.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, we walked into Chipiona and it's only a 7 minute drive to Sanlucar. Friendly staff and modern/sleek architecture and style. Pool area is fabulous with a gorgeous view. Our seaview room with a terrace was excellent.
Cons: The breakfast could have been better. It was a very basic buffet with Spanish/international options, none of them hugely good. Coffee - a must in Spain - was decidedly average from a machine. Fruit was good and fresh but breads were average and could have been fresher. Wouldn't have minded but 11 euro per person is a lot for what we had.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very polite staff everywhere. Excellent breakfast. The view from the terrace of the restaurant ist wonderful. We stayed there at the beginning of October, so a lot of hotels had already closed. The Beach is broad and it is possible to walk there for kilometers. The sea at the Costa de la Luz however is rather wild, nothing for easy and calm swimming, but of course for surfing. From Chipiona it is easy to reach other places (Sevilla, Cadiz) by car.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The rooms were spacious and comfortable, if not a bit cold and impersonal.
Cons: Everything, from the staff who was misunderstanding everything and not doing its job properly, to the foolish parking inside the hotel that you have to pay very expensively if you want to park your car. The whole hotel feels like a huge hospital for tourists, and it is not welcoming at all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our balcony was just amazing and the sunsets fantastic. The staff were great really good breakfast and everywhere spotless clean.
Cons: Nothing to dislike fabulous hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location on a lovely beach, spacious well equipped room. Well designed hotel with excellent facilities. Very friendly staff.
Cons: All great!
6,3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast; breakfast time (to 11:00); pool on the roof in the 2. floor; the beach Nice and living original town just 500m away
Cons: often problems with the internett: connection and stability; to many 'small things' which shouldn't be in a 4 star place: nearly no art or design works at all; long hallways without any optical breakups (looks as if you are on a ferryboat); some interior issues: very small mirror squeezed between curtains wardrobe; unpractical water tap in the shower (easy to touch with your bak and change temperature); cleaning tables and chairs with the same cloth shouldn't happen, but it did every day (breakfast hall)
9,0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely welcome from the reception staff, fabulous layout, and pool location. The food was amazing. Good value and great presentation. The bedroom was clean and spacious and the bathroom simply fab.
Cons: The only downside was having to hold on to our cutlery for the main meal. That seemed out of character for the service we received but we told the receptionist so hopefully they will correct that. Also the pool area closed very early, it would have been nice to sit there and watch the sunset.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: hotel style
Cons: not cleaned windows
9,2 Excellent
Pros: On the beach. Great beds and bathrooms.
Cons: We had a room looking out to a courtyard. Drinks were a bit pricey.

Pros: hotel style
Cons: not cleaned windows

Pros: On the beach. Great beds and bathrooms.
Cons: We had a room looking out to a courtyard. Drinks were a bit pricey.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was exceptionally clean, breakfast catered for all tastes and food was plentiful and well presented. The position of the hotel was perfect, right on the beach in a very quiet area, the restaurants that were within a 5-10 min walk were excellent and good value for money.
Cons: Our only negative comment was that we had to pay 8 Euro a day for the hotel car park.

Pros: Extremely spacious and comfortable hotel with great sea views all the way to Miami. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food good. We used this hotel as our base camp for the 2019 Moto GP at Jerez and the very lively mayhem associated with this event put us right on the button. Well impressed.
Cons: My only gripe is car parking, it does not exist. The hotel are perfectly honest and up front about this, but in this age of car rental companies nailing your credit card for thousands in the event of a scratch. Please provide car parking, it is possible, I have surveyed the patch.

Pros: Breakfast was great. One of the best coffees of the whole trip and I have never seen Cava at breakfast before (I didn't have any!). Our room overlooked the beach and so had a lovely aspect. It is unfortunate that the hotel is directly above the Irish bar, I am just thankful that we stayed on a Sunday night and therefore we were not disturbed by noise late into the night.

Pros: We liked the full experience from arrival to departure. We booked half board thinking lunch was the next day but it was at the day of arrival. They kindly changed it for us. The hotel location was amazing, right on the beach with amazing sea views and sunsets from the nicely decorated terrace with Balinese umbrellas. I like they think about little details - the room came with small bottle of local wine to taste. Food was very tasty. Living in Andalusia for 5 years I know they like to fry everything, but this hotel goes beyond. They offered really great home-cooked style dishes and didn't spare money on things like asparagus, anchovies, artichokes, goat cheese. Very impressive! If more time we would have rented bikes as well.
Cons: 4 poster bed is nice, but in a bigger room. I hit my hip when walking around. Using shower tap is not easiest, if I was very hard to twist it.
