Friendly and welcoming!
Excellent location and decent breakfast with good coffee. Good shopping on the north and south side of the river. Within walking distance of the Willis Tower, the John Hancock building and Millennium Park. Excellent dual headed shower and clean bathroom. Good soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Bed was comfortable with good pillows. Window shades kept the room dark for the late sleepers. Friendly and welcoming staff. Complimentary drinks on the 6th floor every evening between 5 and 7 pm (wine and beer). The Double Cross Lounge was also open between breakfast and the evening reception if you were waiting for your room to be cleaned. Good WiFi.
Unassuming comfort in a good location.
We liked how breakfast was available on every floor, the location (pretty central to our interests), the price was good and there was relatively inexpensive parking next door.
View from the room was basically an alley and parking lot, not the best view in Chicago by any means. Breakfast ends a little early. Free drinks at the "lounge" was a great surprise but the lounge itself is a bizarre little room.
There was nothing I would change during our stay. It was perfect and the front desk person named Robert was very helpful too! Thank you.
I was pleasantly surprised about our stay. We travel a lot and typically stay at places we are familiar with. However, this place was perfect! Location, staff, room.....everything was great! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Chicago. I think the most impressive part was the great staff. They understand customer service and they were on their game at all times!
The check in desks aren't the best, it gets congested and it's loud. The evening reception is nice however I received one coin for one drink?! I saw many others with many coins for drinks.
Great location in a trendy hotel
The location was great! It was trendy and clean and comfortable. Love the free continental breakfast on each floor. We also got two free drink tokens for a happy hour they host - which was a nice pre-dinner drink for us! They were also able to accommodate us last minute for an early check-in which was super helpful.
Everything was a little small (hotel room, lobby, etc). It was modern and boutique-like, but I wouldn't consider it a luxury hotel.
Great Hotel at a Great Location
Enjoyed our stay at the Kinzie. Loved the continental breakfast on our floor every morning, as well as the spread provided during happy hour. Within 5 minute walk of 3 L train stations. Would definitely stay here again!!
We were very happy with the Kinzie Hotel. The location was very convenient for the Oriental Theater, as well as for dinner locations afterward. We appreciated the continental breakfast provided on each floor. We found the room very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the friendly staff and we look forward to staying here again.
Good breakfast, great location, modern, very clean, all around great!
The view was beautiful
Will be back for our next visit!!
We loved the breakfast on every floor! The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The location was perfect!!
While we were okay with "no view", we didn't care for others looking into our windows. We had to keep our blinds closed the entire time. Sheers would be nice to still have the light but still have piece of mind about privacy. Perhaps next time we will ask for a view!!
Nice property, good location, professional staff
no common areas to relax in
Location!!! Super friendly staff. great breakfast that you can take back to your room in your pj's!!!!
the staff, the location, free breakfast
the rooms are a little too small
Great Location stones throw from all the cool places. Shops, Sights, Eats . Etc etc..Complimentary Drinks every night 5-7pm plus munchies Great, Groovy helpful Staff.
Lack of a Bar to drop in on. During the evening hours. Food from Harry Carays for room service was awful. The hotel was kind enough to comp us.
The location of the hotel was great. Nice clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds.
I wish we would have known about the coffee maker tucked behind the glass frosted door under the TV.
The central location was perfect for a city holiday. The concierge staff were extreamly helpful and efficient.
the breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable.
Had no view from my room.
Rooms are very comfrontable and the front desk staff is amazing best customer service in the city. The location is great it's away from the busy tourists areas.
The door staff could use some improvemment. When I arrived no one helped me with bags from the car. Several times I caught taxi on my own. The lobby is fun and trendy hoever the music should reflect the area hard work and 80's sounds were not very soothing. I expected boutique style or a mix of lounge beats.
Location is unbelieveable good walking distance to everything virtually. Bought a week long El ticket however only used it maybe 6 times in total. Staff were really nice and helpful. All in all very good hotel.
Onmy down point was that there isn't a hotel bar but plenty of bars in the area so this isn't even a big problem
