Pros: Surprisingly massive and beautiful hotel right on the highway. I guess location used to be much more exquisite before highway was built. Great restaurant. Missed spa, which is supposedly great as well. Really good place to stay for La Reggia shopping
Cons: Strange location right on the highway. Very good for La Reggia shopping, but not much else imho. May be some events as well.

Hotel Royal Caserta - Caserta - Bedroom
3
8,8 Excellent (2 856 reviews)
R1 770+
Overview Reviews
Comfort, style and a high-quality service, just one step from the Royal Palace of Caserta, one of the most precious and appreciated tourist site. The architecture of the Palace blends with the minimalist style of our rooms: this creates a special and strong contrast. Care for details and facilities at our 4 star hotel are perfect both for business and for leisure.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for station, Royal Palace & exploring centre of Caserta; quite a busy hotel, obviously used by people on business & also as a conference centre. Good range of food at breakfast, with speciality coffees & fresh fruit juice available on request.
Cons: Nothing -it suited me well.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet was good. The room we had was spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were friendly, answered questions, held our luggage after checkout since we had a late flight, and ordered us a taxi to the airport. Conveniently located near the train station and across from la Reggia.
Cons: Breakfast in general was good. The downside was that we were a bit confused by the coffee situation. It wasn't clear how to get an espresso. There was a machine with some buttons covered up/not working. Then there were also some metal containers, one of which was labeled coffee. We were unclear if this was American style drip coffee. We mistakenly tried "orzo" from the machine and it turned out to not taste like coffee at all. Finally, we saw others asking the workers for coffee and they would bring it out. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was confusing and we would have preferred to be able to help ourselves.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent standard of rooms, lovely and large and airy, spotlessly clean, v elegant.
Cons: It was excellent - though a slightly more modern hairdryer would be a good advantage. Everything else is so modern and exceptional, so was surprised that the hairdryer was so traditional.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was in a great location for me since it was only a 3 minute walk from the train station and 5 minute walk to the Caserta Palace. This was my entire reason for the trip. The hotel is modern, the staff pleasant and the location superb. The breakfast buffet was very good. My wife enjoyed the cappuccino's and the buffet had a large variety of foods to choose from. The bathroom was a little tight but very modern and the shower large and worked well. I had hot water about 10 seconds after turning on the tap. I know that some people were confused with the lighting system but it really is not that difficult to work. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caserta, particularly if you travel there by train.
Cons: The bathroom in the room was a little tight around the toilet. I also wish they had at least one English language station on the TV (like CNN) but hey, we are in Italy and they speak Italian!
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Close location to Reggia di Caserta, friendly staff at the front desk, good breakfast, and clean and comfortable room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location just next to the Reggia. We had a spacious, very clean room with a wonderful view of the Reggia. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The room we had on the 5th floor was very clean and spacious but in need of some extra care - the furniture was a bit worn out and the bed was very hard.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the splendid free breakfast, the courtesy of the employees.
Cons: Getting a parking space was a bit challenging but the hotel associate was very helpful to find it, but being in the center of the city it was very fairly priced
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very kind and helpful, giving tips about what to do nearby! Nice breakfast and location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and good location, room is clean and comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super hotel, room was great (over looking a park) breakfast superb. Decor very tasteful. Most of all exceedingly pleasant and friendly staff.
Cons: Everything was fine
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Cosy, breakfast was very good. There is a cofee machine in the lobby and free croissants.
Cons: The room is small but cosy. There are no consumables in the bath (soap, shampoo).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was about 10 minutes walk from Royal Palace of Caserta. An underground parking company entrance was in the same piazza as the hotel - we parked briefly in front of hotel to drop baggage off, hotel gave us a card that allowed us to park for 10 euros/24 hrs, and we drove around piazza again (one-way) to park our car. We stayed a few days and came and went in the car as required by speaking with carpark security attendant at entrance. Do not waste time and money by trying restaurants away from hotel like we did. On our 3rd night after 2 nights of average dining elsewhere, we discovered the Restaurant La Bougainville adjacent to hotel and realised it was actually associated with the hotel. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of food, and delighted that the menu offered some choices different to the normal offerings elsewhere of pizza and pasta. Our waiter, who spoke English, was wonderful. The staff at the front desk were good as were the cleaning staff. After finding the bed and pillows too firm for personal preference, we requested some softer pillows from front desk and they were provided same day. Breakfasts were in a pleasant modern dining area, and were diverse and copious. Room facing piazza was quiet (we closed double-glazed windows) and had good curtains to make it dark. Our room had a large sofa upon which we placed out two cases to allow easier access. Free wi-fi was good.
Cons: 1. We could not find an English or alternate language TV channel, and if offered, instructions for access or a TV guide would benefit customers. 2. The mattress was too firm for personal preference. Softer pillows were provided upon request.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The overall quietness, the swimming pool (although I did not use it), the room and general premises cleanliness (there were problems with the shower but they god solved promptly upon signaling them). The personnel was generally kind and available, working with passion and a smile on their face (especially the extremely available lady at the reception).
Cons: Unfortunately there is a half unfinished, rough-looking building next to the property that ruins the views.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was so relaxing and great staff thanks to the padrino
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help, they were very attentive to our needs. There was a language barrier so out came the Google translate and much hilarity trying to figure out what the other was saying. Food in the restaurant was tasty, although we couldn't figure out what happens with sides as I ordered a meat dish which was really nice but it was literally meat, no chips, potatoes, veg to go with etc. Again this I think was more a cultural thing for us to learn. The location was beautiful in terms of scenery. We were out there for a wedding so not a lot of time for sightseeing, however the area in general was really stunning. I think compared to some of the other guests stories of their hotels we really landed on our feet with this one. Would definitely book here again if revisiting the area.
Cons: A little worn around the edges in places and no toilet seats in public restrooms... However that seems to be a cultural thing as no public restroom in the area has any...?!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful setting and very clean and comfortable
Cons: We were very disappointed as there was a private party and the whole pool area was not open to guests of the hotel. We had so looked forward to sitting around the pool and deliberately booked a hotel with a pool
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hotel staying in the area for a wedding Manager lovely and very helpful Breakfast nice and food in restaurant brilliant and good value for money
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location near to the old town . Staff are so welcoming and helpful . Nothing is too much trouble . Beautiful fresh breakfast . Amazing views .
7,5 Good
Pros: Lovely location beautiful hilltop village nearby
Cons: The restaurant service was appalling ultra bright lights blaring TV on some news channel no assistance from wait staff who seems more interested in each other. Food was average nothing special got the feeling they had just had enough of tourists

Pros: Clean
Cons: Shower

Pros: Location is close enough for us to walk to see reggia and downtown.
Cons: Very small bathroom. U have bidet against ur knee when u sit in the toilet. The wall has many stains. No fly screen on the window. Breakfast very poor, many dry old bread and cakes.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Parking facilities
Cons: Bread toaster

Pros: Wi Fi, Size of room, air conditioner
Cons: hotel, elevator, breakfast, bathroom,
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The place is within reasonable distance from the royal palace and the public transport station. The room was comfortable and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory with smiling faces and good coffee. And I really liked how I had control on the AC.
Cons: Given the price range, there is not much to complain about. But I did notice that the room severely lacked sound proofing of any sort. I could hear traffic all night and even other hotel guests, even if they weren't particularly noisy.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location and car park facilities
Cons: nil
4,2 Okay
Pros: The bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The breakfast was sufficient.
Cons: I didn't like at all the shower, the water did not drain as normally it should. So, no possible to leave the shower with clean feet. Furthermore, the edges of the shower (the material is ceramic) were no clean. I said the issue with the drain to the staff, later he told me that he checked it and for him things seem to work ok (I expected to be moved to another room :( )
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Despite other places promises this has been the only place that had parking available, elevators, air-conditioning all in one place.

Pros: The location and second story deck views were amazing of Mt. Vesuvius, Caserta, and the southern Amalfi coast. There are wonderful local eateries and food shops within walking distance and the church and shops and restaurants on the Vechhia above the property are excellent. The proprietors are wonderful people and very easy to work with. We will visit again some day!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, very helpful. Amazing view from the terrace and great breakfast. Our room was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. We only stayed overnight but it would be an excellent base to stay longer and explore the area. Very relaxing.
Cons: We enjoyed everything about our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Easy travel to Naples and Pompeii. Breathtaking view from the terrace over Naples. Superb value for the money. Had very nice host with 3 cats :) loved it. You will have private phone in your room allow you to reach host 24/7. Can’t get better than this. There is local bakery called Pasticceria Pierreti. Must try for breakfast. We loved it.
Cons: Just to bear in mind , room is on 2nd floor. Since there is no lift can be difficult with heavy luggage. But for the view from the terrace, it’s worth it.

Pros: Our room had beautiful views and was super cozy and comfortable… And the breakfast was off the charts amazing! The staff was also amazing and made us feel right at home.
Cons: It was the perfect place to stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully converted old house to elegant and smart b&b-rooms with beautiful patio for dinner and breakfast. Great pool I’m the neighbouring house. Good dinner, great breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean room with great views on the Vesuvio. Lovely, fresh and delicious Italian (thus sweet) breakfast with great coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money. Good location for exploring Caserta and its surroundings (e.g. the Reggia, Casertavecchia).
Cons: If there was one thing to mention: Parking is somewhat of a challenge (at least if you want to park you car in front of the accommodation) because of only limited space available.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The facility was very nice, with a great view. It is an old building in a very good condition. It even has an elevator but you can still feel the countryside effect. Free parking space was available in front of the b&b.
Cons: Bed was not very comfortable but is was OK. We needed 2 hours to heat the room. Air conditioner was not functioning well. But people were very nice and they helped us when we told them about the problem. It was a nice stay anyway, I would recommend it.

Pros: Good staff service. In particular I want to mention Antonio who was most helpful to us.
Cons: The bathroom shower had half a door missing and yet the room was allocated to us. When we shower the water was splashed all over the bathroom because half the door was not there.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location close to the Central station, lovely terrace with a nice view, big, clean and warm room/bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast.
Cons: Suggestion to travelers: the opposite side of the hotel feels safer for walking at night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: ...for some days in Naples. Bars, cafes, snacks and restaurants near by. Train station and Naples old-town also easy to reach. Staff is friendly and rooms functional. Rooms on 6th floor with nice terace and a public terrace on 7th floor as well
Cons: got what expecte

The Starhotels Terminus is a romantic hotel in the historic centre of Naples, looking out onto the bustling Piazza Garibaldi, where every detail embodies the hospitality and passion the city is famous for. The 169 rooms and suites, furnished with precious fabrics in warm colours, provide guests a panoramic view of the city or of the magnificent courtyard. The Odeon by Eataly restaurant offers both international and typical Neapolitan dishes, while the Odeon by Eataly bar is the ideal place to enjoy a genuine Neapolitan coffee, as well as light snacks and exquisite cocktails. The scenic terrace on the 7th floor has a spectacular view over the Bay of Naples and in summer it becomes a perfect setting for romantic evenings accompanied by live music performances. The hotel's 8 meeting rooms can host up to 200 people and are equipped with the most modern technology. They offer all the space required for holding business meetings or private events, impeccably organised by a staff of expert professionals.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfy, the rooms were very clean, shower was hot and had good water pressure, the included breakfast was amazing!
Cons: Only thing not so good about this hotel is the location. Right next to the central train station, which is convenient, however the area is sketchy. Lots of pickpockets
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Central place near train station and metro station connecting all interesting places of Naples
7,7 Good
Pros: Overall the hotel and room were very nice. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Also, the restaurant was very nice for lunch and dinner. I was here to present at a conference and the conference rooms of the hotel were nice and they provided folders, papers, pens, and water for participants. The hotel was right next to the central metro station which was very convenient to get on the metro and do some sightseeing. However, I don't think this hotel is in a "tourist area" and it is more where the locals go to catch the bus and the metro.
Cons: The hotel is in a sketchy area and the room I had was noisy. I would not go out after dark. I was sexually harassed on the street one night while I was trying to get dinner. During the day was okay though. The room was also cold at night and no matter what setting I put the thermostat at the temperature never changed. The tv and treadmill in the fitness center did not work. Also, the business center was not available due to renovations. In addition, I asked the front desk staff what/where there was to sightsee and I was just given a city map with no indication of where things were located. The woman just circled a broad area of the map and told me to go there. That was not helpful at all.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Clean good value and THE closest to train station. Other hotels advertise they are close but you would have to navigate across very busy streets. Staying at this hotel because of its proximity to the train station was the best move we could have made!
Cons: Staff was not helpful over a few small matters.
6,8 Good
Pros: Excellent location, clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: Extremely small room with very soft/worn mattress, safe deposit box in room does not work and extremely small shower stall (can't even bend down).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very near from the train station so felt very safe. Also we could leave our baggage before our check in time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and wonderful breakfast!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: hot water tap on the shower
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - I was lodged in a sort of super deluxe mini apartment: the furniture and the decor were awesome. - Also, my apartment-room had a balcony from which I could have a wonderful view of the city. - Super supplied breakfast: you can even have just-baked sfogliatelle
Cons: - The clerk was a bit slow in checking me in. - There were soap dispensers all over the bathroom except for next to the bidet. And you couldn't even resort to disposable soaps.

Pros: My partner and I had a lovely stay here. It was a short walk from the train station, and we were able to explore Naples on foot easily from the hotel. The staff were fantastic! We made the most of the facilities (spa and room service). It made for a very enjoyable stay.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I had my first experience in the hotel's spa and it was super relaxing. I also booked to travel to Pompeii through the hotel and the reception staff were more than helpful.
Cons: I only had one bad experience when I first ordered a steak from the hotel's restaurant. It came out raw even though I'd ordered medium rare. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, the steak was replaced immediately.
7,7 Good
Pros: Common spaces were beautiful and location great. Restaurant was delicious for dinner.
Cons: Sub-par rooms, no kettle in room, clueless staff (nobody knew what a bath mat was, for example), broken fridge they wouldn’t fix (they said it’s supposed to be warm!), took 30 minutes to get my car (they had said 15 minutes), also no breakfast. Stayed at a much cheaper and nicer hotel down the block. Wish I had booked that hotel for my days in Naples! You can get much better value than this hotel. A fail for the Sofitel chain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was greeted by the sweet Mr Gennaro at the check in counter. He made my check in smooth and made sure to offer his help in any of the things I was hoping to do on my trip. Then there was Mr Gennaro from the spa. He exceeded all expectations with his kind and helpful attitude. My cellphone charger had died and I needed a place to get one soon, he instead gifted me one he has laying around and told me not to worry about it. So this honest review of his amazing hospitality is my thank you. I highly recommend this hotel, it is beautiful, in the center of so many awesome things to do, the staff is so very helpful and the rooms were tidy and comfortable.
Cons: That I had to leave so soon!
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: Room too hot. Noisy. Heard noises all night.

Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Poor service, and the wifi did not work for 2 out of 4 days of stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and the Palatial interior Courtyard
Cons: Neighbor was a little rough but eclectic
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Loved the area - very old area of the city. Neighborhood is very real (not glitzy or pretentious) and gives a view of the quotidian Napoli. Some of the oldest and best pizzerias are in this area.
Cons: Key cards did not work reliably for rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Palazzo Caracciolo was the best part of my visit to Napoli. I have dreamed of visiting this part of the world for many years and without my stay at the Palazzo Caracciolo I think I would have been a little disappointed in my visit to Napoli. The Hotel was fantastic!!
Cons: Weather
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful courtyard with inexpensive breakfast that is all natural and organic including traditional Italian meats
Cons: The gym facilities are terrible for weightlifting. Good for cardio.

Pros: Good, spacious rooms. Good view from some of the rooms. Staff are helpful and courteous. Very good location.
Cons: The re are not that many choices for breakfast and lunch. Same menu repeated.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect!
Cons: The hotel is noisy throughout day due to some renovation works. I think, the price of the hotel is too high, but the quality of the room and service is not equivalent to this price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the roof terrace, and the gym on the 9th floor.
Cons: The views are fantastic. The only thing to add would be to clean the windows. In the bright sun, the dirty window glass can be a bit disturbing. I would clean it myself, if given the tools :)))
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: uncleaned towels with disgusting smell!! they tried to charge me for 60 euro more!!
7,4 Good
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was helpful and kind! We had a suite, old style furniture, very nice balconies. Great views! Very pleasant stay. Bathroom a bit small but acceptable. Our flight was very early in the morning and the good thing about the location of the hotel was there was a taxy station just next to the hotel - very convenient! Convenient location as walking distance to the old center.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great overall
Cons: We had to exchange dollars into Euros at the hotel since we arrived on Friday night, and they exchanged currency at a very steep rate. Not a lot of business take credit cards so we were basically forced into it
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were great and the room was terrific. There was a great balcony and the view was incredible.
Cons: The shower was awful. There was only a partial "door", and water got everywhere when you took a shower. We had to cover the floor in every towel we had in preparation for the swamp that followed. The pool also required swim caps which was weird and a big bummer because who wants to wear a swim cap?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location couldn be better. Right in front of the sea and the Castell Dell'Ovo. Really nice place of the city.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, in the bayfront in Napoli.
Cons: Breakfast was rather poor, not many things to choose.

7,7 Good
Pros: I liked very much the hotel and we enjoyed our staying. The room was super- designed, even if it's a bit kitch, like a table suported by 5 angels =) We stayed at lux, and we had really cool jacuzzi (thouth it was loosing water, and after ll th floor was wet). In general we liked it, i would've put 9 from 10.They also recomended vr good restaurant downstairs, it calls Castello Nuovo (I guess)), the food was amaizing!
Cons: The onlu one thing that there was confusion when we arrived. We couldn't find the hotel, coz it's not like they have some billboard on the road or adv ecc. We took the elvator, came to the door of the hotel, and no one opened a door to us, coz' the guy from reception left it... we were waiting kinda 15 min before he came, and we were thinking that they just have stolen our money and our bank accounts are already empty.... lol...and 1 more thing, i didn't like that there was a lot of garbage downstairs... but it's what Napoli like!!! U can do nothing.

Pros: Nothing .apart from a few of the staff that are very friendly and helpful ..
Cons: It's not in a good location. It's in a business area and it's not possible to walk to wherever you want to go you have to get a taxi if you want to go anywhere it's not a place to stay if your a tourist and want to look around and taxi is not cheap. The room is not very nice it smells and it's old the matress was old hard and lumpy and not comfortable at all..

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It's a fabulous facility with wonderful staff, especially the dining manager.
Cons: Not really. But it was shocking to see such a fine hotel in such a horribly, run-down city.
7,1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Rooms are nice and clean
Cons: Thought the price was quite high for the area
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Tea making facilities appreciated. Lovely and quiet too.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive staff and maid service. Restaurant rivals most of what I ate in town.
Cons: Pretty far on foot to public transportation. Not convenient to city center on foot nor to many dining options.
6,8 Good
Pros: The hotel was fine - not a great location; in what seems to be the business district so not a lot of services around.
Cons: Found hotel on your website and specifically chose it for airport shuttle service. After walking around the airport and lugging a heavy suitcase, I was told that there was no shuttle. Then spend considerable time and money to get to the hotel. Overall, it cost me an additional $35 euros for the transportation. If I had known, I would have stayed somewhere less expensive or closer to the metro.

10,0 Excellent
Hotel Royal Caserta - Caserta - Bedroom
